| USS Abraham Lincoln and CSG-3 |
UPDATED 27 January 2026: CSG-3, imaged above, is the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72), USS Frank E. Petersen, Jr. (DDG-121), USS Spruance (DDG-111) and USS Michael Murphy (DDG-112). Not imaged above but part of CSG-3 is an unknown U.S. Navy fast attack submarine. Embarked on CVN-72 is Carrier Air Wing-Nine (CVW-9) and Strike Fighter Squadron-Forty One (VFA-41). CVW-9 is three squadrons of F-35 Lightning II's; VFA-41 are F/A-18F Super Hornets.
The kinetic power of CSG-3 is nothing to mess with but its utilization in a strike on Iran is not yet 100 percent certain. Trump's decision, and he's got two camps of advisors, hawks and diplomats.
The hawks want a strike by this coming weekend. They argue for the decimation of the IRGC's combat power and that's the peg leg the Twelver regime is standing on.
The diplomats are said to be holding to a US demand that Iran rid itself of all HEU and end any further enrichment; a limit on the number of ballistic missiles and removal of all support to regional proxy forces in Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen.
What's an apocalyptic Twelver regime to do? Eschatology Today believes the Twelver regime will utterly reject such dictates if they decide to talk. And waiting out Trump until CSG-3 sails away is not an option. That leaves kinetic action, a la Venezuela, from the fleet and stealth from over the horizon. Meanwhile, U.S. forces will move to their on-station positions.
4 February 2026: The possibility exists that the current status could drag on for another 13 days, or even longer.
Recall the Trump "Peace Deal for Gaza." That is what happens when real estate moguls get into "negotiations" with islamic jihadists. A non-starter that breeds perpetual small-scale warfare with an enemy having no intention of complying with terms of the so-called agreement.
Generational warfare is the result until the jihadists no longer number among the living. The residual is the jihadists ideology strait from their unholy tome which inspires a new generation of fundamentalism and its necessitate jihadism; the cycle repeats as it has for more than 1300 years. The folly of men who think themselves great.
Why does God allow this? Is it part of "the beginning of sorrows" that preceeds the angel Gabriel's prophecy of the 70th Week of Years? Perhaps it is and this is what Eschatology Today currently believes is true. No more 'wash, rinse repeat' because the current high-speed spin cycle is, according to Scripture, the last. We are the "last generation," the Bride of Christ awaiting our elopement with our Groom Jesus Christ.
Woe to the unbelievers and those who slumber.
UPDATE 6 February 2026: Following the end of the US and the Twelver regime talks in Oman today, the Iranian representative told the media the talks could not continue under threats and military pressure. To this the US Pentagon issued a response.
Marana'tha.

There's good intel that that IRGC are in for a big surprise.
ReplyDeleteA "Compass Call" and "Rivet Joint" are reported to have arrived in the CENTCOM AOR. Big problem for the enemy.
Speaking in Iowa yesterday President Trump said this (emphasis mine): “There is another beautiful armada floating beautifully towards Iran right now. So we will see."
ReplyDeleteOfficially there isn't a deployment notice of another CSG to the CENTCOM AOR. However, the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) with
Amphib Assault Ships USS Boxer (LHD-4) and USS Makin Island (LHD-8) did put to sea recently from North Island, San Diego.
Additionally there are three Littoral Combat Ships in the Persian Gulf (5th Fleet) the USS Canberra (LCS-30), USS Tulsa (LCS-16) and USS Santa Barbara (LCS-32) and two missile destroyers USS Mitscher (DDG-57) and the USS McFaul (DDG-74).
As Trump said, "we'll see."
I'm T-totally incensed that Saudi Arabia joined the UAE in denying the US to launch any strike against the Twelver regime from their territory or through their airspace.
ReplyDeleteI remember the 1991 Battle of Khafji in Saudi Arabia where US Marines, US Army and USAF airmen paid with their lives in the operation to drive the Iraqis back north into Kuwait. This is how Muslims stab America in the back.
Iran has threatened to strike the heart of Tel Aviv if the US attacks.
ReplyDeleteHAMAS denies that its disarming was ever part of the peace deal negotiations.
ReplyDeleteI believe the name of the game at this point is preemption.
ReplyDeleteIran could launch a preemptive missile attack using its missiles with solid fuel rocket motors, but that would be the end of the regime.
We could preemptively suppress their capabilities with our technology and strike OOB regime targets at will. The Iranian people would serve as the boots on the ground.
Anything is possible.
President Trump has been presented with multiple detailed vignettes for strikes against the Twelver regime. SECWAR Hegseth said the armed forces are prepared to execute whatever the president orders.
ReplyDeleteOne vignette considered consists of (a) commando raids on nuclear sites, (b) strikes on leadership to enable regime change, and (c) renewed attacks on IRGC ballistic missile forces.
DeleteAlways of interest to prior to a military operation is the phase of the moon. On 1 February 2026 there will be a full moon. Cloud cover is another matter.
ReplyDeleteThe "another beautiful armada" that President Trump spoke of recently is very probably an air armada.
ReplyDeleteTWZ has all the details and then some!!
If you decide to read the entire TWZ report (published yesterday) you will see as I do that the Twelver regime is in a world of hurt should Trump say "go".
This military force is without question far larger and far more capable than the one which went to Venezuela.
Nothing left to say here, so now we sit, wait and see what, if anything, happens. (Trump is notorious for issuing and then ignoring his deadlines)
ReplyDeleteReplyDelete
I think Trump at least likes the appearance of exhausting all diplomatic avenues. Perhaps the build up is because no one would believe the twelvers would agree to any of the latest demands...looks like decisions have been made...
ReplyDeleteTwelvers already said no to Trump's list. Decisions have been made, only when is TBD. Tick tock...
DeleteHow likely is it for the IRGC to bomb Two Aviv and our military bases there and other bases in other Middle Eastern countries? Or do you feel the strike (along with the will of God) will be so surgical that they won't know what's coming until it hits? It's not like they don't see the writing on the wall at this point.
ReplyDeleteVery likely. Think: Truck bomb at US Marine barracks in Beirut. They'll also try to hit US Embassies in the GCC countries. This is an explicit threat delivered to those countries recently.
DeleteReading Jeremiah 49:34-39 more carefully than ever before and there's a possibility no one has yet considered.
ReplyDeleteWhat if a powerful American attack on Iran does not cause a collapse of the Twelver regime, but instead results in the fracturing of the country.
Ancient Elam is today known as the province of Khuzestan. It's majority population is not Persian, it's Arab. They have long resented Persian domination.
Watching because it's a possibility.
Brother Sean.......would this "fracturing" scenario be an even more likelihood of this bringing us closer to our Harpazo?
DeleteBrother Frank
Brother Frank,
DeleteThe passing of very second of every minute of every hour of every day going forward brings us that much closer to the Harpazo.
Nothing else has that kind of effect.
Bro. Sean - Fascinating point. Never thought about it quite that way. That's a real possibility. The concept of the modern nation-state is largely articifical in any event - there are literally dozens of areas around the world where people want to separate into their own common entities - Balkan style. I think you may well be over the target on this one. I saw a map on Linked-In the other day - showing the overall layout of the forces arrayed against the Twelvers. Really looked like the 'four winds' to me. Bro. Steve
DeleteBro Steve and All,
DeleteJeremiah 49:38 is DEEP in meaning, it's context overwhelming in demonstration of the LORD's supreme sovereignty (over all nations).
In a cursory reading of this verse the true meaning is easily overlooked.
The LORD God sets His Throne in a pagan, gentile nation which worships a foreign and false god?!? (Jerusalem has no Temple at this time, but His throne is set in Elam...)
...And He sets out to destroy the king and princes from there, who are in Tehran, and/or Qom?
Where else within the Holy Scriptures does the LORD set His throne on Earth outside of the Holy of Holies in the Temple?
This has significance IF the interpretation is on target.
Good Morning Sean,
ReplyDeleteDo you think the global push for data centers is a precursor for the mark of the beast system?
Dave
Dave,
DeleteYes, but the globalist push for more data centers has a big problem to solve first - the electrical power to run them on.
Right now that extra power doesn't exist.
Globalists recognized the problem a while back, hence the search for alternative energies forced upon us that are failures, like wind mills for example.
I think fossil fuels, NatGas in particular, will fuel the new construction power plants needed. It has been burned off for decades as a waste.
I expect the wait to be extended by a week or more, out to mid-February perhaps. New moon on the 17th.
ReplyDeleteIDF CoS Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir to his senior operational commanders:
ReplyDelete"We must continue to draw lessons from the events of October 7, strengthen our defensive posture and be prepared for a sequence of offensive operations across all fronts. The IDF is preparing for multiple scenarios, and we must remain alert and ready at all times to achieve victory in a multi-front war."
All that military power in M.E. ........all those threats....all that rhetoric. And now both sides are close to talks. This is just getting hard to stomach.
ReplyDeleteBro. Frank
Bro. Frank,
DeleteI hear you loud and clear!
All of this is sickening, satan-inspired rubbish. ALL of it, from Lebanon to Gaza to Yemen, has originated from one place for the past 47 years. Tehran, Iran.
I asked some time ago and no human being offered a correct reply: "What is there to negotiate?"
The LORD knows. He inspired Jeremiah to write down how He will handle the abject failure of the nations (including Israel) to resolve the issue by resolutely sending the sword after them.
So, that's all there is left, to trust the LORD to execute His judgment fully.
With all the firepower on and heading to the area perhaps it's not to force a negotiation but to be ready when those fail
DeleteThe Twelvers aren't idiots. They've done all that they've done for nearly a half century because they've not had to face an overwhelming military power. They saw what a handful of US bombers could do last June, whereas previously is was all just threats to use US CSG's.
DeleteRemember what they did to Obama? They took American Navy personnel captive off their patrol boats and humillation followed as those sailors we huddled up for the TV cameras.
They learned in June that Trump will act with force. They understand that. They saw what the US did to Saddam's Republican Guard; how Baghdad Bob saying in front of live CNN TV cameras that there were no US forces near Baghdad, just as an American M1A2 MBT rounded the street corner behind him. So, Twelvers know that DJT means business and that got them to make their insincere plea to negotiate this Friday.
Hopefully Witkoff and Trump know the Twelvers cannot be trusted at all, period.
Well, well, welll... Bibi told Witkoff the Twelvers cannot be trusted.
DeleteSean, I keep going back and reading the actual Scripture of Jer 49: 34-39 and count Almighty God Himself using the term "I will" seven times (excluding vs 39) in the destruction of Elam. Perhaps the USA, or Israel will actually take military action after wasting so much time (and countless thousands of Iranian innocent lives) while trying to arrange time-wasting, useless negotiations, but perhaps God directs His wrath directly on the evil rulers of Iran? The Scripture does say He will bring the sword, but the context is after God speaks to His "fierce wrath". The one truth we all KNOW is that His Word will be completed, and this prophesy will be fulfilled 100%. The twelvers will be dismayed, the bow of their might will be broken, and the people of Elam will be scattered to all nations. We also know God will destroy the kings and princes. How they crawl back and become part of the Ezek 38-39 war is a matter for another day! But God will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies....Thus saith the Lord! Leo D.
Delete...but will Witkoff listen? I'm hoping, but my confidence in the Trump administration has been shaken regarding this manner....but the God of Israel has the final say and he's spoken
DeleteJon,
DeleteIMHO Witkoff is not the right man for the task. He's a real estate developer with Qatari money holding up his corporate business from collapse.
And he is chosen to lead negotiation with apocalypse-minded Twelvers?
It's just plain nuts.
Leo D,
DeleteYou are absolutely correct to say this:
["The Scripture does say He will bring the sword, but the context is after God speaks to His "fierce wrath"."]
Mortal men fail. God does not fail.
By the way... we all know how islamic jihadists love to recite "allah hu-akhbar" (al-lah is great).
ReplyDeleteGreat? When has the "al-lah" ever manifest greatness to the benefit of worshippers? And 1400-some-odd years of absolute silence?
It seems to me the lack of anything from this demonically inspired deity will ultimately convince adherent of the folly and they'll turn to Christ Jesus in droves.
Earlier today Iran attempted to hijack a US tranker moving through Strait of Hormuz.
ReplyDeleteAlso, an Iranian drone approaching the USS Abraham Lincoln was blown out of the sky.
I think I kinda remember that Trump was in negotiations while bombing the processing plants the last time...hmm
ReplyDeleteJoe
He was, but he didn't utter a sylable when they were going nowhere and ordered the B2's to go wheels up. Expect similar this time. Negotiations with any jihadist group is worthless, time wasted.
DeleteSpeaking of disarming the Gaza terrorists, and echoing what we've said here for months, minister Bezalel Smotrich was in Eilat today and said this:
ReplyDelete"We will have to return to fighting."
Witkoff & Kushner will meet Araghchi in Oman, but they're very adverse to any Twelver games. Based on the Omani clock, there's 24 hours or less until the zero hour end of "diplomacy."
ReplyDeleteFact is the US bailed out from sticking to its four key negotiation positions in order to accomodate regional Sunni Arab governments.
The Sunni Arabs are obviously not convinced that US tech (the "discombobulator" tech) can suppress IRGC missiles the technology did to Russian and Chinese missile systems defending the Caracas region of Venezuela. They were turned off 100%. And then there's the heliborne ground op where 20 crack troops wiped out hundreds of Cuban and Venezuelan defenders in mere minutes. Unprecedented does not adequately describe the military power used.
According to OSINT the US-Twelver talks have been ongoing for 6 hours.
ReplyDeleteThe only surprises so far are word that 1.) CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper is present, and 2.) that the talks are in a second session.
These talks are not face-to-face across a table, but indirect with an Omani minister shuttling between the rooms.
DeleteThe second session has ended for consultations with national leaders.
Iran demands that all economic sanctions be completely removed.
Talks ended for now. Shi'a source says today was discussion about how to have discussion. Ground rules in other words. A game on how the game is to be played. Next round TBD.
DeleteApparently the talks are over; the Twelver negotiator, Abbas Araghchi, has left and will not return unless American threats of military action end.
DeleteSo be it.
Trump said there will be further talks next week. He reiterated "Iran wants a deal." He also said "there's plenty of time [to make a deal]" and "Iran will not have nuclear weapons."
ReplyDeleteTwelver threats and bellingerency is incessant. The US should forcefully demonstrate what "really bad things" actually means. Be the Lord's sword and Git'R'Done.
ReplyDeleteJust curious Sean, why is it I've never seen not even a hint of the dirty bombs used to attack our base by the Iranians? What's the purpose of keeping that info quiet? Seems odd but then again when it comes to media and government both are as trustworthy as 7-11 sushi
DeleteIt's taken a few years to get the word out about what happened at Ain al-Asad AB, but that's most likely because radiological and toxic agents take time to manifest their debilitating effects.

Thanks Sean. That's some insight I had never seen.
DeleteCatherine Herridge Reports is the best expose on this there is thus far. The video is incredible and detailed.
DeleteNetanyahu meets Trump mext week.
ReplyDeleteIsrael's position:
1.)complete elimination of the Iranian nuclear project,
2.)zero uranium enrichment,
3.)zero enrichment capability,
4.)removal of enriched uranium outside Iranian territory.
DR. Avi Perry wrote:
ReplyDelete"Trump seems to assume Muslim leaders behave like rational cost-benefit actors. That assumption is his central mistake. He seems to have made that mistake with Iran and al-Jolani, tragically sacrificing the Iranian protestors and the Kurds."
IMHO Dr. Perry has hit the bullseye with this.
His current OpEd is on Arutz Sheva.
Or Trump is so arrogant about his ability to "make a deal" that he's blinded to the reality that not everybody *wants* to make a deal.
DeleteIsrael would accept a deal aligned with 1, 2, 3 and 4 noted above, plus the ballistic missile deletion.
DeleteNot gonna happen in a "deal" so kinetic strikes are the only alternative.
Israel Hayom has a great SITREP published today.
ReplyDeleteIsrael Fears Limited Iran Deal
Israel has also told the US it will strike Iran alone if necessary. Iranian missiles are seen as an existential threat.
Jeremiah 49:34-39 verbatim.
This raises a hypothetical possibility.
DeleteSince Israel views IRGC missiles as an existential threat, would Israel use their current 'holy of holies' (nuclear weapons) to neutralize the threat?
Hypothetically, I'd say yes. It is the so-called Samson Option.
The de facto annexation of territories in Judea and Samaria was advanced in Cabinet decisions made yesterday, just as Netanyahu was departing for the meeting with Trump.
ReplyDeleteOnce again as stated last September, President Trump is OPPOSED to the de facto sovereignty being applied to Judea and Samaria by Israel's Cabinet.
DeleteEschatology Today is opposed to Trump's position. God gave the land to Israel in an everlasting covenant.
Johnny-come-lately Trump has NO SAY in the matter.
OSINT reporting claims there are 112 C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft either in the Middle East or enroute. That's theoretically 18,400,000 pounds of cargo. Some.haul!
ReplyDeletehow many globemaster aircraft are in service ? Geez that's a lot of stuff for a maybe....
DeleteWell, it's a BIG Indication & Warning (I&W) that it's not a maybe. Add the cost of deploying the air and ship armandas to the missile defense batteries and the troops who operate them. It's not chump change.
DeleteTrump negotiating with the Iranians to stall for time for building up the arsenal like the Iranians would do....
DeleteThere are a dozen or more F-35A's yet to arrive in the sand box, among other goodies Trump hopes he doesn't have to use, but they're in EU so it won't take long.
ReplyDeleteTrump and Bibi will certainly discuss Israel's role in different scenarios, perhaps even as host to American hardware. This because so many of Trump's "Arab allies" refuse to allow US warfighters to be based on their sand - they need diapers also for fear of Iranian missiles. (They don't believe Jeremiah's oracle.)
I have a feeling that the Venezualan 'discumbobulator' was just a scaled down demo of what the Twelvers are going to see.
DeleteI agree 100%.
DeleteDJT and Bibi had a 3-hour long chat, 11 AM to 2 PM. Bibi was said to present Israel's red lines on Iran and Gaza. Meeting over Bibi leaves the WH in complete silence. Still no word on what transpired.
ReplyDeleteDJT said "no decisions were made." Iran negotiations will continue.
DeleteThat sounds an awful like a decision made.
SITREP A3-26 is next up.
ReplyDelete
