According to multiple sources major hostilities could conclude sometime in April, but that also depends on a set of expected decisive actions at the Strait of Hormuz and Kharg Island. FWIW, Kharg Island lies geographically south of ancient Elam.

Breaking News Today (3/17/26): Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed that Iran's "de facto leader," Ali Larijani, was eliminated in an air force strike. Katz stated: "I was just briefed by the Chief of Staff that National Security Council Secretary Larijani and the head of the Basij were eliminated tonight and have joined the head of the annihilation program Khamenei and all the villains of the axis of evil in the depths of hell."

The next Twelver talking head is very likely to be a complete unknown with the elimination of Ali Larijani (de facto leader) and Gholamreza Soleimani commander of the Basij. Intel reports hold that upwards of 60% of the street thugs have abandoned their posts. Israel will brief Trump this morning on the eliminations through yesterday.
