Isaiah 19: "I Will Set Egyptians Against Egyptians"

29 January 2011: Bill Salus' yesterday posted a most excellent prophecy exegesis on his PROPHECY NEWS-STAND blog which I urge everyone visiting here to read through this link: "I Will Set Egyptians Against Egyptians."

Indeed, Isaiah has prophecied that civil war will come to Egypt, most probably as a precursor to the events which conclude in the fulfillment of Psalm 83. Without question I believe this is cutting edge exegesis from Bill Salus. And be sure to inform friends, neighbors and fellow members of your church to become informed as well. It will be an amazing experience to be an eyewitness to the prophetic declaration of the Most Holy God per Isaiah 19 as it enters literal fulfillment before our eyes.

  1. Hello Sean

Well that was upsetting! I know it has to happen but I don't want to see it for real.
    God help them. :(

  2. i had a feeling there was some prophetic implications with what was going on...as i asked about on a previous post. i had a feeling inside but i didnt want to assume anything yet cuz i`m not the scholar that bill salus or lindsey or some of these other great men are. plus i dont ever wanna give rise to sensationalism by assuming somethingg is prophetic. but now bill salus and you have confirmed what i felt but didnt have the right to assert. thank you.

  4. The Muslim Brotherhood is apparantly already at work here. I have heard intelligence that a "large quantity" of surface to air missles have been taken by Hamas during this Egyptian chaos, and brought into Gaza. While I don't know for sure what Hamas's intentions are for these weapons, I can assure you that no good will come of it. This importation of very dangereous weapons, in violation of several treaties, into what is supposed to be a demilitarized area, is likley to cause Israel to make a concerted effort soon to remove this threat. That sure soudns like what could be the opening shots of what we are referring to as the Psalms 83 war.

The wild card here, in my opinion, is what will Saudia Arabia do now? What will have to happen there to bring them into line with this Arab confederation rapidly forming against tiny Israel? According to some of my Saudi friens, there is already organized, armed "gangs" in the country who are actively moving against the royal family in general, and King Abdullah in particular. I have no love for the royal family, but again, from my viewpoint, very little good can come from this.

I get the impression that the end game is comming at incredible speed! I do wish that the bride of Christ would be about telling the world of the love and salvation available in Christ, and so save them from the comming destruction, but alas it looks as though that ship has pulled anchor and is sailing with the tide! More the pity, as the world needs to know Jesus!

  5. Bottom Line: The Egyptian revolt was bought and paid for by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Egypt Protests: Will the Real Mohammed ElBaradei
    Please Stand Up?

Here is the key excerpt from this press release:

Reports out of Egypt directly connecting ElBaradei's political ambitions with Tehran surfaced last September via a political rival, Abdul Mabboud. A story translated from Egyptian Newspaper Al Youm Al Sabeh last September said: "in a communication to the Attorney General of Egypt, Dr. Yasser Najib Abdel Mabboud, has accused Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei...of receiving funds exceeding $7 million (US) from Iran’s leadership as support for ‘political reform in Egypt’." The story claimed that "the check in the amount of $ 7 million is said to be meant to cover the financial costs of the election campaign and the activities of the Front for Change."

  8. Sean,

I need your help with the Hagrites. There is a guy on Rapture Ready stating that the Hagrites do not represent Egypt due to 1 Chronicles 5 where it states that the Hagrites lived east of the Euphrates. My gut feeling is this is not correct when looking at Psalm 83, but how do I confirm I correct?

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Gideon,

This is not a problem at all.

Unfortunately, the guy on Rapture Ready who is saying such a thing is 100% absolutely incorrect; he is quite "geographically challenged," so to speak.

    1 Chronicles 5:10 says:

"Now in the days of Saul they (the sons of Reuben) made war with the Hagrites, (a/k/a the Hagarites) who fell by their hand; and they dwelt in their tents throughout the entire area east of Gilead."

Verses 18-22 give the details of this military engagement.

    Simple geography lesson.

Gilead was (is) a mountainous region south of Bashan, and north of Moab and Ammon. This area is what we know today as the western portion of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. It was the tribal lands of Gad, Reuben and eastern Mannasseh.

HERE IS A MAP LOCATING GILEAD IN PRESENT DAY WESTERN JORDAN

The area east of the Euphrates River is at least 500 miles away in present day Iraq.

    ======

Most importantly, and in an obviously earlier time period, Hagar, the namesake of the Hagrites (Hagarites) was the Egyptian maidservent that came back out of Egypt with Abraham and Sarai. She gave birth to Ishmael.

Upon leaving Abraham and Sarai, Haragar and Israel travelled toward Beersheba where Hagar found an Egyptian wife for Ishmael, and the settled in the Desert of Paran, which today we know as ... the Negev Desert.

This is where ALL of the BIBLICAL REFERENCES to "Hagrites/Haraties begins and ends.

Anything other than this is from secular academic sources or authors and/or historians who wrote theories in the mid-1800s about who the Hagrites were and where they went to and most of that knowledge are merely guesses.

For Chritians, the Word of God is our source.

  10. I think the Spirit through Asaph was telling us some very specific things about the Psalm 83 battle.

It began a process of fulfillment in 1948.

    Was Egypt involved? Absolutely.

    1956? Yup.

    1967? Yup.

    1973? Yup.

Will Egypt be involved in the coming final battle of Psalm 83?

    No doubt about it.

Who and what is Egypt? Since the Islamic conquest, they are a mix of Ishmaelites from Arabia and the indigenous Copts.

Historical note... prior to the Arab Islamic conquest of 1400 years ago, Egypt was an 80% Coptic Christian nation within the Byzantine Empire. The people spoke the ancient Egyptian language (Coptic) and used an adopted Greek-style alphabet.

  13. "Woe to the multitude of many people
Who make a noise like the roar of the seas,
And to the rushing of nations
That make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
    The nations will rush like the rushing of many waters;
But God will rebuke them and they will flee far away,
And be chased like the chaff of the mountains before the wind,
Like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.
    "

    Isaiah 17:12-13

"O my God, make them like the whirling dust,
Like the chaff before the wind!
As the fire burns the woods,
And as the flame sets the mountains on fire,
So pursue them with Your tempest,
And frighten them with Your storm.
    Fill their faces with shame,
That they may seek Your name, O LORD.
    Let them be confounded and dismayed forever;
Yes, let them be put to shame and perish,
That they may know that You, whose name alone is the LORD,
Are the Most High over all the earth.
    "

  15. hartdawg,

Bible prophecy is not a series small events that has to be re-analyzed or re-calibrrated every time some new event occurs.

Look at the Book of Daniel for example, Alexander the Great died, and then the rest of Bible prophecy fulfilled over hundreds of years afterwards right up to the present moment which is just about 2,334 years ago. Hosni Mubarak is no Alexander the Great. Neither is any other leader presently on the world stage, so their passing or fall from power is relative minutia is the eschatological BIG PICTURE. And there's more yet to come. A lot more.

Whatever happens in the daily, weekly, monthly minutia is pretty much irrelevant because the fact of the matter is that Isaiah 19 will come to its precise fulfillment, so will Isaiah 17, and Psalm 83 and all the rest of the imminent prophecies, right on up to the Second Coming.

  17. By the way...

You heard heard disinformation from the we-wannabe-in-power Left and islamists.

    Mubarak has not resigned.

And unless he dies or something untoward happens to him he will remain as the head of the Egyptian government until:

    a) an islamist vs. secularist and apostate muslim civil war erupts and the islamists win

    - or -

    b) a victor is determined in the September 2011 Egyptian election.

  19. Looks like the Egyptian Military Supreme Council has taken control of the country.

Mubarak is expected to announce his resignation shortly.

Not sure how the Islamists will react to this turn of events, but assume it is not what they want.

  20. The "transition" to full control of Egypt by the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces to about an additional 12 hours to accomplish, but is now complete.

In essense a military coup d'etat has occurred in Egypt.

Egypt will now move to the next phase of the revolt where the Ikhwan fundamentalists outside and inside the military will seek to assert their control over the secularist, pro-Democracy forces.

  22. Jack Kelley is another that says Egypt isn't involved.

    That's not what he said.

Quote "To me this is confirmation that Egypt is not likely to play a major part in the Psalm 83 scenario, which I believe will precede Daniels 70th Week.

  25. Jack Kelley has got the timing sequence correct.

However, in writing "this is confirmation that Egypt is not likely to play a major part in the Psalm 83 scenario..." he is certainly incorrect.

Egypt has been a key role player in the psalm 83 prophecy since it began the process of fulfillment in 1948. That is an established, indisputable fact.

All of the enemies listed by Asaph the seer (prophet) in Psalm 83 were over-run by the deceived sons of Ishmael circa 632-639 AD. We know them in our day as the Muslim Arabs. Egypt was conquered by the sons of Ishmael in 639 AD.

The original Egyptians, those who did not submit to the Arab conquerors are known as the Copts, and the speak the original Coptic (Egyptian) language to this day.

The Arab "Egyptians" are the core of the "inner ring" named by Asaph.

Egypt is formally known as the Arab Republic of Egypt. It could just as easily be referred to as the Ismaelite Republic of Egypt.

It is importatn that people who make commentary on these issues really do in-depth study and research on the subject matter before they present their opinions. There is a difference between an opinion, and informed opinion and a learned opinion.

  26. Also, the League of Arab nations was founded in Cairo, which almost always has been the headquarters of this Arab League.

The term Pan Arabism was coined by Amin Al Husseini, but it was Gemal Nasser, leader of Egypt, that used the term to unite Arab nations. He lead two wars against Israel.

The founding members of the Arab League look quite similar to the nations listed in Psalm 83. They were founded in 1945; the same year European Jews were pouring into the Holy Land looking to establish a new Jewish state. Just three years later this new confederation declared war on the new state of Israel to make them a nation no more. The founding of the Arab League was prophetic, to say the least.

The founding of the Arab League, the reestablishment of Israel, and the Israeli War for Independence was the beginning of the fulfillment of Psalm 83.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Kudos to you David for making the connection between the Arab League founding and HQ to Cairo, Egypt!

As if further evidence was needed, i would suggest folks to read the text of the speech given by the late Anwar Sadat to the Israeli Knesset on 20 November 1977.

Aside from the false hood of his second sentence (Christians and Jews do not worship the same God as Islam; the god of islam is a false god, a satanic deception that Satan has exploited to great effect for about 1,400 years) this speech is rife with Sadat referring to Egypt as an Arab (Ishmaelite) state. In fact, Sadat refers to Egypt as the biggest Arab (Ishmaelite) state. Moreover, Sadat refers to ALL of the "confrontation states against Israel as Arab (Ishmaelite) states.

As far as Egypt being in Psalm 83 is concerned, it is without question CASE CLOSED.
