Republican National Committee: One State Solution - Israel

Update 5 March 2015: Now is the time for the Republican National Committee to make its stand, along with a good number of Democrats, with the State of Israel. The support demonstrated to Israel and its Prime Minister 48 hours ago must be followed up with an action, a work, demonstrating to God, to Israel, to Iran and all of Israel's Islamic terrorist and even her secular enemies, in the Spirit of the inviolable covenant of Genesis 12:3.

This is by far the most popular post in the history of the Eschatology Today blog, with double the number of views of any other post and clearly demonstrating that the subject of Israel in the Conservative American view is one of the utmost importance. Ours is a view diametrically opposed to that of our President and the others of that particular bankrupt ideological point of view. It is also a view shared by the GOP with respect to the Obama Administration's ongoing denigration of Israel.

I cannot help but wonder what would occur if all of US would contact a member of Congress, either your Senator or Representative, or both, expressing the will of the American people that our Congress execute a tangible action in support of Israel in the ongoing war with Iran. That opportunity is now because the Congressional vote on increased sanctions to be levied upon the Iranian regime will occur within days perhaps. This is a way in which each of us can directly impact events on the world stage, potentially prophetic events at that.

Git'R'Done America.

Thus says the Lord of hosts:
"Behold, I will break the bow of Elam,
The foremost of their might."

21 January 2012: Last week at the Republican National Committee at its winter meeting meeting in New Orleans, LA adopted a resolution that calls for a one state solution to the never ending crisis in the Middle East. The resolution resolves for a single state under one law in the territory of Israel, Judea and Samaria with Israeli citizenship rights extended to all. This resolution all but acknowledges the results of Asaph's Psalm 83 prophetic prayer.

The resolution (part of the Republican National Platform for the 2012 Presidential Election) has a preamble which describes Eretz (the Land) of Israel as God-given to the Jews and resolves "that the members of this body support Israel in their natural and God-given right of self-governance and self-defense upon their own lands, recognizing that Israel is neither an attacking force nor an occupier of the lands of others; and that peace can be afforded the region only through a united Israel governed under one law for all people."

This is a tremendous departure from the anti-Genesis 12:3 Republican 2008 platform which stated: "We support the vision of two democratic states living in peace and security: Israel, with Jerusalem as its capital, and Palestine."

Those who say there is no difference between Republicans and Democrats have another thing coming.

The Jewish Daily Forward: GOP Calls for One Israel 'For All People'

Text of the RNC Resolution sponsored by Cindy Costa, Committeewoman South Carolina:

AN RNC RESOLUTION TO COMMEND THE NATION OF ISRAEL FOR ITS RELATIONS WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

WHEREAS, Israel has been granted her lands under and through the oldest recorded deed as reported in the Old Testament, a tome of scripture held sacred and reverenced by Jew and Christian, alike, as the acts and words of God; and

WHEREAS, as the Grantor of said lands, God stated to the Jewish people in the Old Testament; in Leviticus, Chapter 20, Verse 24: “Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey”; and

WHEREAS, God has never rescinded his grant of said lands; and

WHEREAS, along with the grant of said lands to the Jewish people, God provided for the non-Jewish residents of the land in commanding that governance must be in one law for all without drawing distinction between Jewish and non-Jewish citizens, as contained in Leviticus 24:22, and

WHEREAS, the Nation of Israel declared its independent control and governance of said lands on May 14, 1948, with the goal of re-establishing their God-given lands as a homeland for the Jewish people; and

WHEREAS, indeed, Israel is the United States of America’s greatest friend in the Mideast; and

WHEREAS, the roots of Israel and the roots of the United States of America are so intertwined that it is difficult to separate one from the other under the word and protection of almighty God; and

WHEREAS, there are those in the Middle East who have sought to destroy Israel from its inception as anation; and

WHEREAS, those same enemies of Israel also seek to destroy the United States of America; and

WHEREAS, the United States of America and the nation of Israel have enjoyed cordial and mutually beneficial relations since 1948, a friendship that should continues to strengthen with each passing year.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Republican Nation Committee that the committee by this resolution commends the nation of Israel for its relations with the United States of America.

  1. Is this the "position" of all the republican presidential candidates? I certainly hope so! and what about ron paul? i heard mixed things about him, one media outlet said he's propalastinian but another said he's pro isreal.by the way did you catch the hal lindsey report last night? i like how he sets things straight.

  2. hartdawg,

I just added the full text of the RNC resolution to the post. Check it out for the full context of the position and what it resolves.

In my opinion Ron Paul is a non-issue. I think the sum of his foreign policy statements are beyond naive - they are inherently dangerous at the present time! When combined with his anti-Israel statements his positions make him unelectable.

Gingrich, Santorum and Romney have all issued very strong pro-Israel positions that are consistent with Genesis 12:3.

  3. How does Romney's Mormonisn tie into Israel if he is elected?

  4. Skullee i wonder the same thing. In my mind Santorum is the one for the job.

  5. The important thing to myself about this is that this resolution is not about individual Republican candidates. It is something that needed to unambiguously stated by an American poltical party, and hopefully in the future, while the Church is still here, become announced American policy.

As a Christian Zionist I would have it no other way were it my choice.

  6. I guess my main concern is that we elect a pro-isreal president or so we think and 2yrs into his term we find out he's not pro-isreal. isn't that what Bush did with his roadmap to peace?

  7. Thanks for posting this Sean. It is wonderful that the RNC would make such a resolution. I wish the bonehead in the WH would see things the same way. But we know that won't happen. Praying for Israel and praying that Hussein Obama hits the highway in the 2012 elections.

    hartdawg,

There are two things to consider, and these are things that I also considered deeply when I began to sour on GWBs dealings with Israel.

1.) President George W. Bush sold Israel the one-hundred some-odd bunker buster weapons that Israel is going to use to destroy Iran's nuclear weapons program. Prior to this sale Israel did not have the ability to launch such a strike on their own with any predictable measure of success. After the sale the answer is absolutely.

2.) The so-called "Roadmap For Peace" was a diplomatic compromise plan put forward by the Mideast Quartet: US, Russia, EU, and the UN in 2002. The principle points of this plan were drafted by a US Foreign Service officer (Donald Blome). The plan was designed to create the conditions for "a secure State of Israel and a viable, peaceful, democratic Palestine. It is the framework for progress towards lasting peace and security in the Middle East..."

This compromise plan was dead on arrival because of a prophetic fact that is perpetually ignored by the politicians who created it - the Palestinians and their Arab Muslim brethren don't want peace with Israel, they want Israel to cease to exist (Psalm 83).

Plans like this are put together by many kinds of men holding to varying political objectives or policies in the misplaced hope that apocalyptic war in the Middle East can be avoided. They have no idea that their plans will result in the fulfillment of the prophecies (wars that must take place, Matt. 24) the Bible vividly details for these last days.

  9. Thanks for the update, Sean! Looks like the Republicans are courting the Jewish vote away from Obama, though they tend to be hard-core Democratic supporters. It'll be interesting to see if this makes a difference to this voting block.

  10. I agree with Nathan, and have stated so privately when this first came out: the GOP is courting the Jewish vote, to try and still some of Obama's supporters/voters/contributors! Don't trust the GOP any more than the Democrats... both of them will say anything they think will get them back in power!

Like Sean, I am a "Christian Zionist" and I would dearly like to believe that the GOP has seen the light, and are trying to do the right thing, but politics show no mercy and anything is fair in "love and politics"! Anything to get your side elected and in power!!! If you want a reality check, look at how popular Ron Paul is and he is certainly no friend of Yisra'el (not sure if he is even a friend of the U.S.) and as Sean pointed out (nicely), that he is either extremely naive (Sean) or extremely stupid (me)... I let you decide which, when it comes to folks like Iran and their nuclear weapons program. Ron is a denier - he denies what and why Islamic terrorist attacks us(U.S.) and the Western way of life. He seems completely incapable of accepting Islam is a believe as we do or die religion/theocracy.

Nevertheless, I was shocked to see the GOP make such a statement!

    Maranatha! Mark

  11. In my opinion the singular thing which makes this resolution worthwhile is that is that its basis is 100% Biblical.

To this fact I can only add one additional word...

    Period. ;)

Hartdawg...After the last 3 years? I'd settle for our next president just being pro-American.
