The Most Important Prophetic Event of the 20th Century Leads to the Most Important Prophetic Event of the 21st Century - Revelation 19:11-16!

UPDATE 28 May 2014: I like surprises. Yesterday I was surprised twice. First, I was surprised to find in my 'snail mail' mail box a new book by Dr. David R. Reagan, the cover of which is seen in the image above. The second surprise was to find out moments later that the subject of this Eschatology Today blog entry is not just an article from Lamb & Lion Ministry's Lamplighter magazine, but actually the12-page Chapter 3 from Dr. Reagan's new book "The Jewish People: Rejected or Beloved?".

So, now I am even more than pleased to inform all readers that this is the best new book that you probably have never heard of or did not yet know was published and available that is focused upon "the evil of Replacement Theology and the tragedy of Dual Covenant Theology." Just click the above link and it will take you to the page where you can order this outstanding 231-page paperback resource. Within the pages of this book you will find the Scripture-based answers that Dr. Reagan has provided to these questions:
  • Have the Jews ceased to be God’s Chosen People?
  • Are they guilty of the unforgivable sin of “killing God”?
  • Has God replaced them with the Church?
  • Has God transferred their promises to the Church?
  • Have they lost all hope as a nation?
  • Are they devoid of any role in the end times?
  • If God still loves them, how could He allow them to experience the Holocaust?
  • Do they have their own way of salvation, separate and apart from Jesus?
As an addition to your end-times library, as an indispensable resource for un-saved loved ones left behind in the wake of the Harpazo, or even as a very timely gift to someone you know you can't go wrong by purchasing this $15.00 paperback book. I can think of no better summer 2014 book, other than the Bible itself, to be reading than this one.

8 May 2014: I am more than pleased to present an article from the May/June 2014 .pdf issue of Lamplighter magazine published yesterday by Dr, David R. Reagan, founder and director of Lamb and Lion Ministries.  After merely reading the interrogative title of Dr. Reagan's article this morning, I found myself transforming it into the declarative title of this blog post because that is precisely what the prophetic re-birth of Israel is - a prophetic declaration in the active process of fulfillment leading to the soon return to this earth of the Lord Jesus Christ in exactly the manner prophetically detailed in Revelation 19:11-16 (as artistically illustrated above):

"Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a shar0 sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:

KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS
."

What Was the Most Important Prophetic Development of the 20th Century?

By Dr. David R. Reagan
Founder and Director, Lamb and Lion Ministries

One of the greatest examples of God's continuing love for the Jewish people can be found in the most important prophetic development of the 20th Century.

When I think back on the 20th Century and all its amazing events, I am reminded of some words found in Habakkuk 1:5. They constitute a statement made by God to the prophet:
Look among the nations! Observe! Be astonished! Wonder! Because I am doing something in your days — You would not believe if you were told.
The 20th Century was full of momentous events that no one could have foreseen in 1900. Looking back on that century, what would you consider to be the most important event from a biblical perspective — particularly from the viewpoint of Bible prophecy?

World Wars I and II?

The Great Depression?

The advent of space travel?

The collapse of Communism?

The reunification of Europe?

The resurgence of Islam?

The answer from a biblical perspective is none of these events.
The most important development of the 20th Century — more important than all of these events put together — was the worldwide regathering of the Jewish people to their homeland.

And lest you think I am exaggerating, let me prove it to you.

The Relevant Prophecies
There are many Bible prophecies concerning the regathering of the Jewish people in unbelief. In fact, their regathering in unbelief is the most prolific prophecy in the Old Testament Scriptures.

Jeremiah 16:14-15 — Let's take a look at three of the most important of those prophecies. The first is found in Jeremiah 16. It is mind-boggling. Read it carefully:
14) "Therefore behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when it will no longer be said, 'As the LORD lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,'

15) but, 'As the LORD lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where He had banished them.' For I will restore them to their own land which I gave to their fathers."
This same prophecy is repeated verbatim in Jeremiah 23:7-8.

You cannot fully appreciate what is said in these verses unless you know something about Judaism. The one event that all Jews consider to be the greatest miracle in their history is the deliverance of their ancestors from Egyptian captivity under the leadership of Moses.

But this scripture passage asserts that a time will come when the Jews will look back on their history and proclaim that their regathering from the four corners of the earth — the event that began in the 1890s and continues to this day — was a greater miracle than their deliverance from Egyptian slavery. In other words
the regathering in the 20th Century will eclipse the Exodus!

This means that
you and I are privileged to witness one of the greatest miracles of history. And yet, the average Christian has no appreciation for what is happening because he is ignorant of Bible prophecy and he has been taught that God is finished with the Jews. Therefore, the current regathering is simply viewed as an accident of history.

Isaiah 11:10-12 — The second prophecy I want to bring to your attention is found in Isaiah 11:
10) Then in that day the nations will resort to the root of Jesse, who will stand as a signal for the peoples...

11) Then it will happen on that day that the Lord will again recover the second time with His hand the remnant of His people, who will remain, from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

12) And He will lift up a standard for the nations and assemble the banished ones of Israel, and will gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
Some have tried to debunk any modern application of this prophecy by claiming that it was fulfilled about 500 years before the time of Jesus by the return of the Jews from Babylonian captivity. But that cannot be. The passage refers to a "second" regathering (the return from Babylon being the first). Further, it states this will be a regathering "from the islands of the sea," which is a Hebrew colloquialism for the whole world, as is made clear in verse 12 where it states that the regathering will be "from the four corners of the earth." Also, verse 12 says that "the banished ones" of both Israel and Judah will be regathered. The return from Babylon was a regathering of Jews from Judah.

Ezekiel 37 — The third prophecy is found in Ezekiel 37. This is the famous prophecy of the Valley of the Dry Bones (watch one minute animation). The prophet was placed in a valley full of bones and told to preach to them. As he did so, the bones began to come together, flesh grew back upon them and they came to life, becoming "an exceedingly great army" (Ezekiel 37:1-10). At that point, the Lord explained to Ezekiel what he was witnessing:
11) Then He said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel; behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried up and our hope has perished. We are completely cut off.'

12 "Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.'"
This is a symbolic prophecy. The dry bones represent the Jewish people in their end time dispersion, with no hope of ever existing again as a nation. The resurrection from their graves represents their regathering from the nations where they had been dispersed.

We can be assured of this interpretation because it is the one that God Himself provides later in the chapter:
21) "Say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will take the sons of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and I will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land;

22) and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king will be king for all of them; and they will no longer be two nations and no longer be divided into two kingdoms.'"
Again, those who are determined to argue that God has no purpose left for the Jewish people, attempt to invalidate these verses as an end time prophecy by arguing that they were fulfilled when the Jews returned from Babylonian captivity. But that simply cannot be.The entire chapter has an end time context. It speaks of a regathering from "the nations," and not just from Babylon (verse 21). It says this regathering will result in a union of Jews from both Israel and Judah (verse 19). And it says that following this regathering, the Jewish people will turn their hearts to God and will become "My people" (verse 23).

At verse 24, the chapter moves into the Millennial Reign of Jesus as it speaks of David (in his glorified body) once again becoming the king of the Jewish people. Further, it states that at that time, "the nations will know that I am the LORD who sanctifies Israel..." (verse 28).

  1. I was going to post a comment on the demonic lie that Israel's rebirth was just a coincidence. You don't think calling it a demonic lie is an overstatement do you? If so I apologize. Anyway, I was going to post it but Dr Reagan masterfully covered it. I will say this, however, I can't for the life of me see how one can still hold on to replacement theology in the light of such overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I'll even take it a step further, not only is Israel's rebirth.....some call it a resurrection but I wouldn't go that far, not only is it the most important prophetic event in the 20th century, but look at every that's occurred around the same time. How can one possibly claim to take the bible seriously and call Israel's rebirth a coincidence or accident? Not only is biblical evidence in stark contrast to such foolishness but so is historical evidence.
What sickens me is that replacement theology is very dominant in the church....at least up here.
God bless Israel and may Jerusalem prosper.

  2. hartdawg,

Yes, I absolutely agree that anyone who says Israel's rebirth is wittingly or not repeating Satan's lie.

    Unfortunately, many believe his lie.

Also, unfortunately, they will pay very dearly for accepting and believing Satan's lie.

Additionally, this is in no way whatsoever an overstatement. How does one overstate a prophetic truth from God?

Replacement theology (a/k/a: supersessionism) is the willful denial of the Lord's sovereign and prophetic word.

What is the term to use for someone who willfully denies the Word of God?

How does one ignore the sentences in the verse which immediately precedes Revelation 19:11-16 (which I quoted in my introduction of Dr. Reagan's article)?

That sentence is, "I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

Replacement theology treats the prophetic testimony about the Revelation of Jesus Christ as if it were some sort of a buffet where they can pick and choose as they see fit. Replacement theology is simply a false doctrine based upon a Satanic lie. It denies the absolute truth that Paul wrote in Romans 11.

    1. Hey Sean, I thought you might find this interesting, but not surprising, in fact, I doubt you'll be the least bit surprised but here it is:
I attend a reformed church and they are going verse by verse in Matthew. Well, they are now in chapter 24 so I made it a point not to miss this week cuz I wanted to see how this pastor could escape what's painful clear about the fig tree and Israel. Here's how it went.
      1) he opens it up by jokingly (mockingly??? I couldn't tell) saying "we now come to the chapter that all of you with those charts and spread sheets have been waiting for. The rest of us can take a nap and I'll wake you when it's over. He sounded like he was joking but I was not amused.
      2) absolutely no mention of Israel at all. Except for the destruction of the temple. REALLY?? You can't talk about the olivet discourse and not mention Israel.
      3) tho he repeatedly said Matthew 24 was mostly future, he said the abomination of desolation was fulfilled in A.D. 70, at least he said he wasn't sure about that.
      4) finally, he said the second coming will take EVERYONE by surprise......even Christians.
With every single point he made, I showed the friends sitting next to me in 1 verse using the pew bible how he was wrong. My next step is to print the above article by Dr Reagan and give it to the friends sitting next to me.
Again, I ask, how can you teach on the last days and not mention Israel except in passing? I'm sure the points the pastor made doesn't surprise you.

33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!

34 “Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”

35 “Who has ever given to God,
    that God should repay them?”

36 For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen

  4. Thanks Kenny!

Romans 11 is one of my favorite chapters of the entire Bible.

Romans 11 is a prophetic conclusion to the dictation of a letter to the believers in Rome that Paul gave to his scribe Tertius about 24 years after Jesus had risen from the dead and ascended into Heaven.

The remaining chapters thereafter are inspired instruction on how the Christian should live, be he in ancient Rome or the Rome of these 'last days'.

  5. Sean:
I wonder if this second regathering taking place slightly before and during the destruction of Islam and Psalm 83/ Isaiah 17?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Kenny,

I'm thinking this is not a "second regathering" per se of the Jews into the promised land of Israel, but a continuation of the final prophetic regathering prior to the 70th Week and which began over 120 years ago and continues to this very day and as well into the immediate future.

And the Jews are not doing this themselves, of their own determination to return to the land, but the prophetic declarations of God to the prophets is being literally fulfilled before millions of Christian eyes.

The Bride of Christ recognizes this ongoing prophetic fulfillment because of the Holy Spirit, but the majority of the Protestant denominations, the Roman Catholics do not herald the return of the Jews to the land of Israel as a prophetic fulfillment. This shows us clearly the differences between true Holy Spirit indwelt Christianity and the remainder which is "Churchianity."

    ReplyDelete
  7. Sean, I'd take it even a step further, most churches say the new covenant described in Jeremiah 31:31-34 is now fulfilled at the cross and that covenant is now established.....that prophecy is not yet fulfilled but will be at the second coming

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hartdawg,

And that is precisely where these so-called churches have gotten it absolutely all wrong. That is key part of the ridiculous doctrine known as replacement theology. It is 100% bankrupt theology.

Jeremiah 31:31-34 has absolutely nothing to do with any church, but everything to do with Israel. Here the plain text of the Word is all that is required to understand; there is no other meaning than that which is plainly stated.

  9. Question: Did Jesus, our LORD God in the flesh, not preach the way of salvation to all Israel when He walked, ate, slept and dwelt among the multitudes of Israel for those years?

    Yes, of course.

Then why was Jesus and His Word denied by Israel, for the most part; why Did Israel reject the grace of God at that time?

Why did Jesus find it a necessity to speak to all Israel in simple parables (including His specially chosen 12 Apostles before the Day of Pentecost) which were often not understood by the Jews?

Why could the Jews (for the most part) not understand His plainly spoken word?

And yet, to this day there are many who teach, even treat as inviolable Church doctrine, that those who will not preach to Israel are guilty of holding to what is known as Dual Covenant theology.

If Jesus could not clearly convince all Israel that He was the promised Messiah, then what chance has anyone since that time to the very day of convincing the Jews (for the most part) that Jesus is the living Messiah?

Did not the 11 Apostles plus Matthias (chosen by lots to replace Judas Iscariot) themselves preach to the Jews of Israel after the Day of Pentecost when they were all filled with and Baptized in the Holy Spirit?

Did these 12 Spirit-filled Jewish men not leave their fellow Jews in Israel behind in order to preach to others in the Gentile world beyond Israel's borders?

Deuteronomy 29:4 and Paul's inspired words in Romans 11, and in conjunction with Ezekiel 39:29 are some of the key verses to understanding this.

And know this also... Paul was specifically commissioned to preach the the Gentiles. But the other 11 Apostles were sent to specifically preach the Gospel to "the LOST sheep of Israel." (You remember the nation Israel, north of Judah, conquered by Assyria and banished to points unknown in the Gentile world - the lost sheep are the lost tribes of Israel!)

This is where the other 11 Apostles went to preach, according to the literal word of Matthew 10:5-6.

  10. When will the next Global SITREP be posted? It's been a little while since I've seen one...

    ReplyDelete
  11. Bruce,

The next Global SITREP will be posted when something of potential prophetic significance occurs.

Right now there is nothing that I find which meets this criteria; or the Isaiah 17/Psalm 83 issue continues its slow burn.

Perhaps with the new "Palestinian unity government" being put into place something will occur to push the Psalm 83 prophecy to the fulfillment we all know is coming.

In the meantime, we study His Word.

  12. This may not be related directly to prophecy, but I certainly hope everyone around the world is paying close attention to the despicable prisoner swap the US president just made with the Taliban.

  13. Mark,

I have paid attention to the negotiations the Obama Admin has been engaged in with the islamic terrorist enemy for a very long time now and believed nothing good would come of it from the get-go.

SGT Bowe Bergdahl intentionally left his post during combat operations on foreign soil and joined with the enemy. That is desertion and treason. Period.

That act of battlefield treason then cost six other men their lives in a search and recover operation. The price paid for this traitor was already too high.

The Obama Administration then engaged in illegal negotiation, a negotiation that was outside of the Constitutionally mandated powers of the Office of the Presidency. The negotiations were and are now a high crime; a de facto impeachable offense.

  14. Quick question, I think it's related to this article, in Matthew 23:39 after pronouncing final judgment on the Jewish leaders of that day, Jesus said you shall not see me again until you say blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Was he referring back to hosea 5:15 where it says I will return to my place until they acknowledge their guilt, and seek my face, in their affliction they will see me....and if so, did the Pharisees pick up on that?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hartdawg,

No, the Jews did not pick up on that which Jesus is quoted in Matthew 23:39.

I believe the proof of this is found in what Jesus said to those same Jewish leaders of that day that their sons would do in our day:

"I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive." - Matthew 5:43.

Jesus was referring to that man who will be false mashiach of the 70th Week, the man of sin who Paul described to the Thessalonians saying... "the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."

Notice also what Jesus said to the Jews in John 5:37-40 ...

"And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life."

This is due to the aforementioned (Deuteronomy 29:4) Spiritual blindness, deafness and imperceptive heart that came upon Israel because of their failure to observe the Covenant God made with them.

However, during the 70th Week God will show His mercy to Israel and He pour out His Spirit upon them as we see in Ezekiel 39:29, the deliverance of all Israel promised in Zechariah 12, and which results in...

"And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn."

This is what Paul refers to In Romans 11 - the saving of all Israel who will then be spiritually able to recognize the Lord Jesus Christ and find salvation through Him!

This day referenced in Zechariah 12, the destruction of the nations which come against Israel and Jerusalem, as detailed in Psalm 83, is coming soon!

    So is the Harpazo!

    Marana'tha!

    ReplyDelete
  16. hartdawg...

I almost forgot to respond to the question... Yes, Hosea 5:15 is directly related to this entire scenario. Hosea 5:15 and Zechariah 12:10, Romans 11, Ezekiel 39:29 all go hand-in-hand.

    ReplyDelete
  17. One more time for good measure.

Notice the distinct sequence of events here (emphasis added):

""And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; THEN they will look on Me whom they pierced."

God pours out His Spirit, then" Israel recognizes Jesus as the Messiah.

I think this is as clear and unambiguous as clear and unambiguous can be.

    ReplyDelete
  18. That being the case, it seems to me that the Pharisees, experts on the law and the prophets, should have picked up immediately on what Jesus said, especially since he not only referenced hosea 5:15 and a number of other old testament passages, he also partially quoted psalm 118. What's even more mind boggling is how does the bulk of the church today, with the advantage of history, the indwelt holy spirit, and both the old and new testament, both with passages "clear and unambiguous" as you correctly put it, doesn't get it. The modern church today, at least most of it, are just as bad as the Pharisees, who they glibly and demonically claim to replace.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yes, if they were not spiritually blind, deaf and hard of heart they would have understood everything the prophets were inspired by the Holy Spirit prophecy about the coming of Messiah; they would have recognized Him who John the Baptist prepared the way for.

As for the here and now...

In the Spiritual realm there are "Haves" and there are "Have Nots."

Those who have the Holy Spirit understand and expressly live their lives righteously by the Word of God.

Those who do not have the Holy Spirit CAN NOT live in this manner. They are quite simply not empowered to do so.

Those who "Have Not" have not asked Christ into their hearts, and thus they are devoid of His Holy Spirit. They are incapable of understanding anything on the Spiritual level. They are as lost as lost can be.

They must accept Christ for the forgiveness of sin in order to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Short of this... they are doomed in eternity.
