Global SITREP C27-14: Taking the War to the Next Level

31 July 2014 - OPE Day 24/Ground War Day 14:  How is it that after nearly a month of monstrous IAF above ground airstrikes, such as the one imaged above, against HAMAS and the other Islamic terrorists and their subterranean hideouts, that they and most of their most important leadership and a good number of their long-range strategic weapons have managed to survive thus far? I think the answer is a no-brainer, but it is one that up to this point has been totally unacknowledged in any media reports, including the IDF spokespersons office, at least thus far in OPE that is.

I think that North Korean military tunnel experts had long ago trained Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) personnel in the state-of-the-art for military purpose tunnel construction, and the IRGC in-turn have trained their forward deployed anti-Israel proxies in Hezbollah's Lebanon and HAMAS/PIJ in Gaza and have otherwise assisted in many facets of the actual construction of a massive system of warfighting tunnels. I think that what awaits Israel in the near future along their northern border with Lebanon makes the tunnel complexes in Gaza pale in comparison. We saw strong indications of this during the past year during war materiel transfers between Syria and Hezbollah in Lebanon. The above ground attempts were seen immediately, in near real-time. However, the below ground tunnel transfers are likely to have gone completely unseen. Israel is now learning the hard way in the current Gaza urban warfare what awaits it along the northern frontier in the interim of 8 years since the summer 2006 war with Hezbollah.

I cannot think of a better time for Israel to demonstrate and further refine its pin-point precision bunker busting technology than right now against the known underground terror transportation, communications and warfighting tunnel system in Gaza.

First Update - OPE Day 24: There was 'shock and awe' from the IAF and it came in a blitz of several dozen mosques in Gaza that HAMAS and other terrorists were using as weapons depots. As has often been pointed out, if you want to find a den of Islamic terrorism, look no further than the local mosque. This is not politically incorrect, just a fact that had been reinforced time and time again all over the world, not just in Gaza. Even Muslims of different sects know to attack mosques of the opposing sect first and foremost in order to harm their ability to wage the jihad. This is precisely what the IAF did while we here in the US were soundly asleep overnight. And its just the beginning.

Above is PM Bibi Netanyahu as he appeared before this morning's session of the security cabinet where he declared it is Israel's intent to continue operations in Gaza at "full strength" until the mission is complete. This is music to Bibi's combat field commanders ears, as well as to my own. And the mission has been defined. The mission of Operation Protective Edge is the demilitarization of Gaza meaning that all terror groups in Gaza will have their military capabilities forcibly taken away from them by the IDF, one way or another, through ceasefire or no ceasefire. This is the basic objective of any army in any way. And, to repeat what has been stated before, as far as the current mission goes what we have seen thus far is just the first phase of the mission to demilitarize Gaza. There is much, much more to come, and that, in and of itself, has very strong prophetic implications as I believe we are going to be eyewitnesses to before this thing is over.

Final Update - OPE day 24: Speaking of mosque's in Gaza, the IDF has put this video up showing the interior of a mosque they captured after a particularly intense firefight with HAMAS terrorists. It becomes lcear in the imagery that HAMAS was desperate to defend this place as not only did it contain weapons (in contravention of international law) but also two tunnels that go in different directions. The primary tunnel is accessed via a vertical concrete and steel rebar shaft that is 14 meters (45.9 feet) deep. This was clearly a very important tunnel to the  HAMAS terrorists.

We'll see come tomorrow if the next U.S.-U.N. announced and so-called 72-hour ceasefire actually takes effect.at 0800. HAMAS has previously declared there can be no ceasefire as long as IDF troops remain in Gaza in addition to HAMAS having declared this to be a jihad in the purest sense of the quranic dictate. We shall see...

One final note.  The article below was published today on The Times of Israel and it is a must read:

  1. Sean,

    Does it seem to you that this is a precursor to the beginning of the Psalm 83 War?

  2. Anon,

    I believe the current warfighting occurring in Gaza is an integral part of the ongoing Psalm 83 war, from 1948 to the present.

    I also believe that what the current battle in Gaza may well lead to are the final prophetic battles of the Psalm 83 war.

  3. Sean,

    It's been widely reported that Hamas leaders use the Shifa Hospital as well as a bunker underneath it.

    Israel is going to have to deal with this target just as they dealt with some mosques last night, right?

  4. Mark,

    No, absolutely not. Israel would never, ever deliberately bomb, or shell a working hospital.

    Think: That would be a crime against humanity, would it not?

    There's your answer.

  5. Hi Sean,

    First off I just want to say thank you for your tireless reporting of these events.

    It seems there is little reporting of the mosques being destroyed. It would seem to me that this would be a major issue to muslims but yet it is being suppressed. Any idea why?

  6. Also, Cruz may be pro-Israel as most of us all are, but he most certainly is not saying that Israel will bomb the al-Shifa hospital.

    There are other methodologies (which I will not discuss openly) that the IDF can use to get to the HAMAS leadership in their C2 command posts, wherever they are.

  7. The IAF strikes on the Gaza mosques is banner headline news on Debka, and can also be found in a few other reports. This also has been reported in all previous Israeli operations inside Gaza between 2008-2012.

    However, generally speaking this kind of thing is being deliberately and conveniently overlooked by the pro-Arab media in the West because they would then have to admit that HAMAS and the other terrorists use Islamic "churches" as weapons storage depots or as fighting positions in urban warfare. Same is true of the al-Shifa hospital being used as a primary C2 headquarters.

    Making use of human shields is a very Islamic thing.

  8. Sean, Thank you for doing this blog.

    I find it hard to understand how the result of a Ps 83 conflict would result in Israel with expanded borders, living in peace, unless it was an angel of the Lord who dispatches their enemies into eternity, like Isaiah 37:36. If the IDF was responsible the rest of the world would be all over Israel. I`ve read your roadmap to revelation and haven`t been able to see how it comes about in our present situation.?( though I believe according to the scriptures, it will be.)
    The Lord bless and keep you.

  9. jmoll106,

    On what land does God say though the prophet Ezekiel that Israel will bury the annihilated soldiers of the Magog military confederation?

    On what nation's territory is this burial ground located?

    The answer to both questions is found in Ezekiel 39, and the answer is the same - the burial ground is in Israel.

    However, this requires knowing where the valley of the Passengers actually is. Today it is in western Jordan. When Ezekiel 38/39 comes to fulfillment that land will be Israel.

    Conclusion: Israel will territorially expand in the enemy nations names in the preceding Psalm 83 war, namely: Ammon (Amman), Moab and Edom, the lands of the "children of Lot." (Ps. 83:6-8) Ezekiel refers to these lands as "the mountains of Israel in chapter 36 and 38.

    All of the answers you seek are found in Ezekiel 38 and 39.

    And those described conditions occur with respect to an Israel that has done what?

    Ezekiel 38:8-12 - been brought back from the sword, meaning Israel has recovered from a previous war - the Psalm 83/Isaiah 17 war against the "inner ring' enemies (Isaiah 11 and Ezekiel 28 and Ezekiel 35 also speak to this).

  10. "Ezekiel 38:8-12 - been brought back from the sword, meaning Israel has recovered from a previous war",
    I missed that correlation. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

  11. jmoll106,

    Great, glad to help make the correlation through Scripture.

    There are also some things not explicitly stated, but the implication of the sequence of events is there just the same as if it were plainly stated.

    For example, there's the Magog attempt to invade, and after that is over and done with there is the pouring out of the Lord's Spirit upon Israel in one of the last verses of Ezekiel 39 (verse 29).

    Then in Chapter 40 Ezekiel begins to discuss the Temple and all things related to its construction, physical layout and pretty much you-name-it it's in there.

    So the overall sequence looks like Psalm 83/Isaiah 17, Ezekiel 38/39, the pouring out of the Holy Spirit upon Israel followed by the construction and re-dedication of the Temple on Mount Moriah.

    I happen to believe this all will occur within the next 14 years per Psalm 90:10. I base this on the re-birth of Israel in a single day (per Isaiah 66:8) which began a generational "clock" ticking in 1948 to which is added the 80 years of strength for the generation's duration.

    Marana'tha!

  12. Sean,

    If the countless number of broken ceasefires is driving me insane, I can only imagine what it is like for the Israeli citizens!

    If Netanyahu doesn't finish the job I hope there is a movement to remove him from office!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I do not believe the ceasefire will work.

    Do you know why?

    It is because bible prophecy is very explicit about the fate that awaits Gaza and the rest of the thorns around Israel.

    Ezekiel 28:12 “And there shall no longer be a pricking brier or a painful thorn for the house of Israel from among all who are around them, who despise them. Then they shall know that I am the Lord God.”

    Isaiah 11:13-14"Also the envy of Ephraim shall depart,
    And the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off;
    Ephraim shall not envy Judah,
    And Judah shall not harass Ephraim.
    But they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the west;
    Together they shall plunder the people of the East;
    They shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab;
    And the people of Ammon shall obey them.
    "

    The prophetic Word of God is supreme; it is inerrant; it does not rely on any man for its fulfillment. Because He has said it, it will be so.

  14. Sean, I made a comment on the previous sitrep something to the effect of if Netanyahu doesn't finish the job and Hamas resurges he will not be prime minister after the next Israeli elections. After reading about the phone call I felt really bad for posting it and deleted the comment. Don't know if you read it or not. Fact is that he's under tremendous political pressure and tho he's making a wrong decision by not obliterating Hamas I feel convicted that he needs my prayers, not my criticism. That's for me personally. As for this blog you must continue to call it as you see it as you been doing the last 5 years, that's what God called you to do. But for me, I must pray for him because I can't imagine the pressure he's under

    ReplyDelete
  15. hartdawg,

    I agree. PM Bibi Netanyahu and the entire security cabinet and the whole of Israel have never been without my prayers.

    I know the Lord's will is being done; that He is in total control with all of Israel's prophetic appointments.

    I also know that given Israel's current spiritual blindness, for the most part, that the one Israel seeks at the present time is Mashiach ben Yosef (Joseph) a descendant of Ephraim. Mashiach ben Yosef is not "the messiah" (ha-mashiach), but a type of messiah who leads Israel out of the age of exile (Heb: galut) and into the messianic age of national redemption with Mashiach ben David (who we, the Bride of Christ) already know is the Lord Jesus Christ).

    For Israel, that Mashiach ben Yosef individual is clearly not going to be Bibi Netanyahu. However, this war has led me to consider that Israel might just determine him to be Danny Danon in the near future.
