Global SITREP C3-17: The Harpazo

UPDATED (BELOW) 8 May 2017: I was researching something and came across what may be a very important article by Don Koenig (The Prophetic Years) with an included excerpt by the late Jack Kelley (GraceThruFaith). I could not wait to post this find much longer than I have, which as of right now is four hours.

The crux of this 2009 article is about how the Harpazo (Rapture) of the bride of Christ might well occur on a Pentecost Sunday. This struck me immediately as something I had not considered before, primarily because I'm one of those who always thought the Harpazo would occur on the Feast of Trumpets. After reading this article and Jack Kelley's excepts on the topic and knowing that the Revelation 12 sign occurs this September... well, the hair stood up on my forearms! Jesus was right, He will come for us when we least expect it, or at least when I had least expected it.

So, I immediately looked at Pentecost Sundays going forwards from this year to 2021. Here's what I found. Pentecost occurs this year on June 4th. In 2018 on May 20th. In 2019 of June 9th. in 2020 on May 31st, and in 2121 on May 23rd. This is keeping with no one knowing the day or the hour except the Father, so no one accuse me of date setting.

Here's some interesting points made to whet your appetite for doing some personal Berean research on this subject.  Pentecost always occurs 7 weeks following Resurrection Sunday (I do not call it Easter). So on the 8th Sunday every year following Resurrection Sunday Pentecost Sunday occurs.

Pentecost occurs on the same day as the Festival of Weeks, Shavuot in Judaism, which is also known as the Festival of the Harvest. (If that's not a subtle hint, I don't know what one is.) The word Pentecost comes from the Greek Pentecostos, meaning 50. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit came down and the bride of Christ was created on the 50th day after Our Lord's Ascension. The anniversary of the start of the Six Day War on June 5, 1967 marks its 50th occurrence this year. It was during the Six Day War in 1967 in which Israel took control of all of Jerusalem. The day prior to this year's anniversary beginning on Monday, June 5 is the Pentecost Sunday noted above. Just something interesting to which I actually attach no significance, its just something interesting at this point.

Enoch of the Old Testament was born on the day that would become Pentecost. Enoch was Harpazoed into Heaven by God on his birthday. Pentecost occurs smack dab in the middle of the six other. It is the day that Moses received the Law on Mt. Sinai from God. Pretty significant day down through the ages, all things considered!  There is only one embedded link above and I urge everyone to check it out. Here also is the link to Jack Kelley's full May 2015 article as well:

Soon and Very Soon indeed!

Update 29 May 2017: The Scripture of 2 Kings 2, as looked at previously on Eschatology Today, is a unique and the first detailed look at the Harpazo of a living human being. We're now going to look at some of those details.

The Harpazo of the prophet Elijah is the subject this chapter. It begins in a place called Gilgal, which is the name of the location of the first permanent camp established by the Israelite's after they crossed the Jordan River (Joshua 4:19-5:12; 9:6 and 10:6). This is also the location where Israel observed the very first Passover after crossing the Jordan in what is today modern Israel. Gilgal is also the location where many of Israel's prophets lived (2 Kings 4:38) and this located is not too far north of Bethel (Beyth-'El - "house of God). The prophets who lived in Gilgal "went down" to Bethel. The word gilgal also means a circle, or a wheel, something which rolls away.

So, in the first two verses we see Elijah, accompanied by Elisha, were engaged in a short journey from Gilgal down to Bethel. Elijah actually had wanted Elisha to tarry, to wait in Gilgal, while he went on alone to Bethel, but Elisha would have none of that and insisted on accompanying Elijah, so they made the trip together. Verse three is where it gets really interesting. Here the "sons of prophets" come north from Bethel to meet Elisha on the road, and they tell him point blank, "Do you know that God will take away (Laqach) your master (Elijah) from you this day." Elisha responds, "Yes, I know, and you should be silent."

The word Laqach is the exact same Hebrew word as found in Genesis 5:24 which describes Enoch's being taken by God straightaway into Heaven. In this sense the word Laqach is clearly the Hebrew equivalent of Harpazo or Rapture, and why I capitalize it here. So this Scripture tells us that not only did most of the inhabitants of Bethel know beforehand that God was going to take Elijah into heaven that day, but so did Elijah and Elisha.

But the journey is not over yet and again Elijah tells Elisha to tarry again, this time in Bethel while he continues on alone to Jericho. Again, Elisha will have none of that, so on they go together to Jericho. However, this time fifty of the sons of the prophets of Bethel go also, but stand off at some distance to observe Elijah and Elisha who soon arrive at the Jordan River. It is here that Elijah removes his mantle, the garment or cloak of a prophet, and in his last act of a miracle violently strikes the Jordan River with it and the waters part so the two of them can cross on dry ground to the east bank.

It is here on the eastern bank of the Jordan River that Elijah suddenly asks of Elisha what he can do for him before his Laqach takes place. Elisha asks for a double portion of the (Ruwach) Spirit within Elijah. And Elijah says, "That's a difficult thing you ask. But if you see me as I am taken, it will be so; but if you do not see me being taken then it will not recieve it.

So, the two of them trek onward in private conversation on the eastern side of the Jordan River when suddenly a chariot of fire (a flaming vehicle) as a horse leaping (skipping like a swallow in flight) which split the two of them from the side of the other and immediately Elijah is Laqach into Heaven by a tornado-like storm. Elisha witnesses the Laqach of Elijah with his own eyes. Elisha declares the vehicle to be "the chariot of God prevails" (rekeb Yisra'el).

And what does Elisha notice right away after ripping his own robe into two halves? Elijah's mantle, the cloak of a prophet, lies on the ground where second before his father had stood. And Elisha takes it up, going back to the Jordan River and in his first miraculous act he strikes the water violently with the cloak and it parts again so he can cross over to the west bank on dry ground.

Then again on the way back Elisha is met by the fifty sons of prophets, and they prostrate themselves before him, yet they not do not believe Elijah was Laqach up to God in Heaven. These fifty sons of prophets demand to send out a search party to locate Elijah. Now these are the same fifty sons of prophets who had previously asked Elisha if he knew that God would take Elijah that same day; now they simply do not believe what they've seen from a distance at Jericho. So they beg Elisha to allow the fifty of them to search for Elijah; Elisha says to equivalent of, "Don't bother." Yet these fifty persist and pester and eventually Elisha relents and they are sent out to search. Three days later they return having found nothing, and Elisha says to them the modern equivalent of "See, I told you not to waste your time."

Elisha has clearly been given his request of a doubled portion of the Spirit (Ruwach) and he performs the second miracle of his young ministry as a prophet of God by healing the waters of the spring at Jericho.

What might the lessons here be for the bride of Christ as we know our Harpazo approaches? I'll not say, but ask that you each ask the Lord what lessons there are. Is there anything the Father will not give to those of His children who ask?

  1. My birthday is on June 4th! Can you think of a better birthday present for me than to be caught up out of this world and if the presence of God?

  2. Thanks Sean for this repost of Jacks. Ive followed his site since around 98-2000? I do love the gift he had teaching all of us many things. May Samantha and her ongoing ministry be blessed!!!

I've also read many dates between now and Dec. 24th that have all sorts of potential to be earth shattering, but the thing that keeps haunting me is the reaction from the world at large following the rapture. I expect that around the world, in every single country on earth, people will be celebrating in the same manner that they will celebrate in the death of the two prophets witnessing in Jerusalem(now comes the flood).
Please forgive them Father for they know not what they are doing.
    God have mercy!!!

Hartdawg...what a birthday that would make:)

  3. SEAN,

I think we need to gather for Hartdawg's great birthday and expect the unexpected jubilantly!

  4. Sean, not three days ago I was watching an old Prophecy In The News video with Gary Stearman and J.R. Church and they were discussing this very rapture theory. I even kept the June 2016 issue of Prophecy Watchers which had Gary Stearman's article entitled: Pentecost - A Picture of the Rapture. Gary pointed out as you do that the date of Pentecost is fluid due to the Feast of Weeks plus one day changing it year to year. The article states that it is the only Jewish feast for which there is no fixed date. When the Jewish calendar was based on visually marking the appearance of the new moon, Pentecost could fall on the fifth, sixth or seventh day of Sivan. I'm looking at a Jewish calendar right now and the fifth of Sivan this year falls on May 30th. Close indeed...

  5. Chuck,

I got the material you sent, the Prophecy Watchers video link, the .pdf, all of it. I would hope our brothers and sisters would seek out this material also.

  6. Number 1: A curiosity question based upon what Jack Kelley and Don Koenig wrote regarding the view that Enoch was Harpazoed by God on the day that would become Pentecost thousands of years ago... how much prior to the Flood did Enoch's personal Harpazo occur? Is that even knowable?

Number 2: I've posted here before that since Noah was given a week (seven days) advance notice of when the Flood would occur, might the bride of Christ not recieve a similar kind of advance notification? i have noticed that a lot of our brethren are now saying this very thing openly - expect to be notified. Have we been receiving such a notification between May 2015 and the present? (I think YES!)

Number 3: What if the Harpazo were to occur on June 4, 2017. What if were are, as of today, just 26 days from the harpazo of the bride of Christ? How should we be conducting ourselves? Are we? If not, why not since the Harpazo is always an imminent thing to look forward to because it can happen in any instant. As I posted here recently NOW is the time to be preaching and reaching out to the unsaved and our sleeping brethren like there is no tomorrow - because there might not be.

Number 4: I'm looking up at the heavens for the procession of the Groom - and the sign may actually be the Revelation 12 sign that is progressing as we speak. We see the birth pangs of which Jesus spoke in the Olivet here on earth day in and day out, and in that sign in the heavens. Both of these are occurring before our eyes in real-time.

  7. Sean,
Pentecost is a harvest event, just like firstfruits. At firstfruits, unleavened bread is offered before God and at Shuvout (Pentecost), 2 loaves are offered of leavened bread. The symbolism is wonderful.
My perspective has been to keep my vessel full of oil, certainly with all that is happening, now is a good time to keep our lamps burning.
Also the book of Ruth and Song of Solomon portray harvest typology concerning Christ and the church.
Happy Birthday to us!...and to Hartdawg!

  8. Sean, you certainly have me scripture searching today, after researching the dates of Shavuot, I was wondering why the Jews celebrate it on May 31. And the church on June 4. At the moment, I certainly don't know the day or hour but certainly the season.:)
It appears that the pharisee's and sadducees had different interpretations on when to begin counting.
Thanks for bringing this out for discussion.

  10. Could it be May 31 and June 4 because Passover and Resurrection Sunday did not occur on the same day? Passover was on a Wed this year.

  11. The Harpazo will occur on a specific day. It will happen as Paul described it - in the twinkling of an eye.

The duration of a twinkle of light off the human eye has been measured and equates to the speed of light which is about one-billionth of one second otherwise known as one nanosecond. This is too fast for any human being to see it happen.

On a side bar note... there interesting news regarding the Sanhedrin today. They are about to set Jerusalem's borders which is a prerquisite for standing up the altar for sacrifice. Breaking Israel News has details.

This demonstrates how close the gap of time is between the end of the Age of Grace and the start of Israel's 70th Week actually is.

  12. Sean,

You have me, too, searching scripture, and linked info on this. Just when I settled myself in for a long ride (yes 4-5 months is a long ride at this point!)to the Rev 12 sign's appearance??
Pretty convincing info.....Lev 23 lists out the feasts, and it's pretty clear that Shavuot (Pentecost) is a harvest feast. Conversely, Rosh Hashanah doesn't get a very detailed description....other than a time for memorial blowing of the horns. Could this be a call to repentance for Israel? I always thought of Rosh Hashanah as a feast to gather Israel to attention, so I figured that "gathering" would fit for the church as well. The Rev 12 sign would definitely be pointing back to the removal of Christians....so very intriguing!!

  13. Sean,

I have always been extremely interested in the Jewishness of what Christianity SHOULD be. It has been stripped of a lot of meaning through the past 2k years in my opinion. Point being, to research and learn about the correlation of OT to NT and Jewish history is fascinating to say the least. And probably our duty as "grafted in".

I'm sure everyone here knows Christ fulfilled 4 of the Jewish feasts at His first death and resurrection (Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and Weeks). Why would He not fulfill the rest? So the theory of Him collecting His redeemed on a feast has always been my guess. Last to be fulfilled are Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and Tabernacles.

Last thing is Rosh Hashanah (feat of trumpets) in Jewish history has long been (Prior to Messiah) an idiom for the feast that "no one knows the day or hour". Was our Messiah giving clues that would knowingly be lost with the Gentiles? Maybe.

Rosh Hashanah this year is Sept. 21-22 the Revelation 12 sign is complete on Sept. 23

Also the Hebrew word Moed (singluar) or Moadim (plural) is used instead of "festivals" which translates best as "Appointed times"

    Good stuff!

  14. I am an avid reader of Jack Kelley, for years he has said the rapture is a signless event because based on the lambs book of life the rapture is not based on a date, it is based on a number. I tend to think the rapture is a signed event (Revelation 12 fitting with so many other verses) that has a specific day and a specific number. How? "God Foreknew." His foreknowledge means He can know the day and the hour and the number and I think Revelation 12 means the modern day church maybe has been looking at this all wrong for years. I think God has a plan, so the rapture has a sign and has not been imminent but has a day. After all, if "God foreknew" how does it fit that the rapture is imminent if the rapture is on a specific day? I believe being a berean means looking at the scriptures and letting scripture breathe scripture; context is everything and I think the context of all the verses speaking to "no one knows the day or the hour" may be for the Jew, during the tribulation, describing the second coming, after the "time of Jacob's trouble." This becomes difficult because the knee jerk reaction is "you are a date setter." No! God is the date setter; am I to believe it is wrong to try and understand a Word God has given? What if God wants HIS BODY to know?

I think understanding the Jewish feasts along with the Jewish Wedding customs are key here. The feasts are part of the clock God gives. There is so much more here that can't be gleaned because it requires thousands of hours of research first in the scripture and then from Bible teachers that rightly divide the Word of Truth and then from the study of Jewish customs from Jews themselves like for example Zola Levitt.

I for years have never bought into the idea of the rapture being imminent (but I didn't know why), now with the learning of the Revelation 12 sign it seems to have come together for me. I could be wrong and I am not going to get worked up about it if I am. June 4 sounds great to me! So I am not dogmatic about any of this, I like the discourse. All I would say is Pentecost has happened and Trumpets is next on the Jewish Feast timeline in relationship to the church that has been grafted in. Pentecost the first trump and Trumpets the last trump. Spring is the harvest in which fields are planted and fall is the harvest season when fruit is plucked. As of today I still think rapture is in the Feast of Trumpets and I think "you will not know the day or the hour" is Jesus speaking of His second coming. I try to be Berean so I continue to study, so I will re-read many of Jack's posts and I will read the post Sean references here. Great work as usual Sean:)

  15. Sean,

I read your last comment "The duration of a twinkle of light off the human eye has been measured and equates to the speed of light which is about one-billionth of one second otherwise known as one nanosecond. This is too fast for any human being to see it happen." and Suddenly hit me. Please correct me if I am wrong but if in the twinkling of an eye is going to be our exit MOED into the arms of Jesus Christ, then what about the Age of Grace?

One thing that has always caused me to hold my breath,, when the topic of the Rapture is deeply discussed, is what happens to the beauty of the Church Age and on what basis will Salvation continue? God's Grace was extended to the whole world because of His great love for all of mankind but now with the Rapture being fulfilled, this is the beginning of Tribulation Era no matter what has to take place leading up to the full fledged terror and anguish of those days upon mortal man?

It isn't just the Jewish Nation that will be thrown into this labyrinth of unspeakable terror and suffering it will be the whole world as we know it and yet we know that there will be at least 144,000 evangelists from the 12 tribes of Jacob's lineage. Two powerful Witnesses that will preach the Holiest Words of YAHWEH ever and yet those are all directed to the nation of Israel. What about the rest of the world and even, especially, those who have occupied pews or chairs in churches ever since the day the church became and yet were too stiff necked to believe that Jesus Christ was and is very real and those words they heard every Sunday or whenever they went to church, meant THEM and yet they were too full of their own self to repent, believe He is all that HE was and is. They missed out and now what? They will have the chance to remember but on what basis? Grace? Repentence? Faith that suddenly became real? Hope won't be enough but what will be?

If our prayers are stored up in Heaven then maybe that will be the only thing that will bring their salvation later.

  16. Sean on question 1 - how much prior to the Flood did Enoch's personal Harpazo occur? Is that even knowable?
Enoch was 65 when His Son Methuselah was born.
Enoch walked with God 300 years after Methuselah was born then was taken.
Methuselah lived 969 years then died and flood commenced. Approx.
My best choice would be 574 years went by after Enoch was taken and the flood came.

  17. I believe scripture says that there will be a multitude of saints beyond number that are martyred for their faith during the Tribulation, and are at the throne of God wearing white robes. Clearly, the majority of them will be gentiles who have come to believe the Gospel of the Kingdom during the tribulation - there are simply not that many Jews on the planet.

The Holy Spirit will do what He will do to reach each of these individual believers (I do believe each of us are dealt with individually).

Another interesting thing to note is the difference between the Gospel of Grace, which is what has been preached during the Age of Grace after Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection, and the Gospel of the Kingdom, which is what Jesus Himself preached during his first earthly ministry. My husband and I have enjoyed watching some of the teaching of Les Feldick over the years, and Les touches on the fact that after the start of the Tribulation, it is once again only the Gospel of the Kingdom that is preached according to scripture.

  18. GG5,

    Always love your perspective!

I have also thought about the after the Harpazo redemption process and I think it will be hell on earth! I don't think many will survive the 7 years. Their salvation will still have to come by faith though, right? They have to believe and trust. If we disappear it will still be faith without seeing for them. Remember the uncountable number beneath the throne who's robes are washed white with the blood of the lamb?

    Rev. 7:9
a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb

  21. Well, I can't say I go to the Song of Solomon very often but does anyone else see a "past is prologue theme" for a spring rapture in Chapter 2:10
My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
    11For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
    12The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;
13The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

There's more in the chapters but for space purposes I quoted just this one.

  22. Ken B, I have those same remorse for those left behind (no pun intended) who are still be waiting under the throne for their entrance into Heaven and yes, it will all have to be by faith but first redemption through Jesus Christ. But that is one of the points I am speaking about. Our faith is in the Age of Grace and yes, it will revert back but won't it be mostly to the Jewish Nation and the twelve tribes of Jacob?

There is another Feast that comes or used to be counted and if memory serves me correctly it was called the Ingathering of the Harvest and it proceeded Pentecost. It had to do with the winnowing of the Barley or wheat but I cannot remember which grain or what the name of it was. I think it is one of the celebrations that the Jews no longer observe. But I did find this web site to be very interesting and if Sean approves it for all of us, you might find it interesting also.

  25. Thank you for sharing that study Great Grany 5! If the rapture happens at (a) Pentecost (and not at (a) Feast of Trumpets) I wonder on which date it will happen: at the time of the Jewish feast of Shavuot according to the date of the Jewish lunar calendar or at the time when the Gentile world celebrates it according to our solar calendar. My bet is the lunar calendar date of Shavuot though maybe I’m wrong (and it will happen at the time when the Gentile world celebrates Pentecost.) We’ll see. I found a webpage that lists the Jewish lunar calendar feast days for this year (and the next few ones): https://www.hebcal.com/holidays/2017

  26. A beautiful thought a rapture in the spring harvest! So, I hope I am wrong like I said above, sooner is better than later. This information then is really in the spirit of searching the scriptures, a "for what it is worth..."

For what it is worth, the word harpazo is in Revelation 12 sign. The word harpazo is easy to research it is Strongs 726. It occurs 14 times with derivatives to the origin 'harp' and is a verb, as we know it means to seize, catch up, or snatch as in a robbery. The word harpazo is a rescue mission, in some circles described as a violent snatching away. Incidentally as part of the Jewish wedding custom, if memory serves correct, the groom snatches away the bride at some point. I do not see a snatching away in SOS 2:10, in fact harpazo is not used.

Strongs 6965 is qum or qumi and that is the word for 'rise up' unto me in SOS 2:10. I do not see the word harpazo there, I do not see a trumpet call. The word here is a call to action by the bride, the verb is to rise or stand and come with me. Qumi is used 15 times and all of which are essentially a command to rise or "get up." Now for me here is when it gets interesting:

13 The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

In SOS 2:13 a couple verses down you see the fig tree reaching bloom. You also see strong's 6965 using the derivative of Qum, 'qumi' meaning 'Arise.' As you know the fig tree as a parable essentially refers to Israel. The Olivet Discourse has the fig tree "putting out it's leaves." Study how the fig tree grows. The leaves come after the fruit. If the fruit is green like in SOS 2:13 those are fruit that remained into the fall. The interesting thing here is that in SOS 2:13 fruit remains into the fall as green figs and in Matthew 24 there are only leaves, fruit does not remain, Jesus expected it to. He is basically saying Israel has many (leaves) and they bear no fruit. This speaks of correction in the tribulation. The next verses after the fig tree parable in Olivet Discourse are you guessed it "no one knows the day or the hour" for the Jew at the second coming.

What does that mean, I don't know! Are we the fruit on the fig tree? I don't think so, the fig tree is Israel. For me I think the key is still harpazo as the word in the rapture verses all over scripture because of how harpazo is defined in contrast to qumi or any other word. Harpazo is the key. I think SOS verses cited above are beautiful poetry about Israel.

  27. Okay.....so the Sanhedrin is set to measure the boundaries of Jerusalem on June 1st or 2nd (as Sean mentioned above) which is eerily similar to Rev 11. Rev 11:1 appears to me to occur just before the start of the 70th. A closer reading of Rev 11:2-3 says John was told not to measure the outer courts because they have been given over to the gentiles and they WILL trample the holy city for 42 months & I WILL give power to my two witnesses, and they WILL prophecy for 1260 days.....meaning to me that neither event has started yet, yes? Maybe I'm reaching on that....just seems like the measurement of Jerusalem could be a pretty key sign. Granted Rev 11:1 deals with measuring the temple boundaries versus measuring Jerusalem's boundaries.

As for the two witnesses, I recently had a thought occur to me. I know that Moses and Elijah are the popular view of the identity of these two witnesses, but what if it were Daniel & John? They were both "witness" to sognificant prophetic events of the end times. I still think it's probably Moses and Elijah, but there are not two people that are more tied to the end times then Daniel & John.

Revelation 11 has always been proof positive for me that the 3rd Temple will be standing PRIOR TO the start of the 70th Week.

The 42 months and the 1260-day prophetic ministry of the Two Witnesses are exactly the same period of the, and that is the Thlipsis prior to the death, resurrection and ascension of those Two Witness and the AoD which begins the Megas Thlipsis.

I think these Two Witnesses are Enoch and Elijah, the only two Godly men in history who never died.

Also the giving of the outer court to the gentiles for 42 months corresponds to me as one of the specific terms of the "covenant among many" Antichrist we confirm at the start of the Thlipsis.

  29. Sean,

When I think of the temple, I think of it in the time of Jesus, but the temple could be rebuilt according the instruction given in Ex 26. It could be built in that manner in a matter of days.....then a more modern structure could be built around it.

    ReplyDelete
  30. According to info I have which is now 2 years old, all of the 3rd Temple's sacred vessels, the menorah, showbread table and incense altar are completed. The architectural design is also done, and is basically a $100,000 3D CAD file which was paid for by donations from all over the world. The 3rd Temple will be a mix of steel, stone and composite materials conforming to the Law. The architectural plans only need to be executed.

Now everyone should go read Zechariah 1 & 2 and see if you find how the mount will be prepared. (Zechariah 1-4 are very prophetic reading that will take you right to the Two Witnesses I just mentioned above. :)

  32. By fire do you mean war?

What first stood out to me reading Zechariah 1 is the parallel of the end of a 70 years long period of time, aka the end of the Babylonian captivity back then and now the modern state of Israel reaching its 70th year of existence. What secondly caught my attention is that the patrolling angels said that there’s “peace and security” throughout the Earth, like the nations of the Earth are feeling a false sense of security not knowing that the Lord is about to judge them for how they handled Israel.

At about the time of approaching Thlipsis, Israel's surrounding enemies meet the True God in a personal way, the remnant believe with the jews and help rebuild the temple which God's glory through a pillar of fire cleanses the temple allowing for it to be rebuilt.

  37. Sean,

What is your sense on a Pentecost rapture time frame? After looking at this scenario more, I could see that being the timing.
I can't support with scripture (maybe you can), but I think the event will be tied to a feast. God is ordered, and the symmetry of 3 spring feasts, a harvest feast, and 3 fall feasts (largely tied to repentance and judgement) seem to fit. I'm starting to get apprehensive (but excited) because I can't comprehend the reality (none of us can) of what the rapture will mean/be like, but more so, I don't want to be disappointed if it doesn't happen within the next few months. Regardless, I know it is close....just can't imagine the Rev 12 "great sign" not being a MAJOR wake up call. Anyway, just thinking out loud I guess.

  38. Lance,

At the present I'm not going beyond the specifics of what is stated in the SITREP or these comments, or the links to Koenig and Kelley's articles (which are 'must read' IMHO).

The "beyond" is based upon Berean study and any additional discernment that the Spirit may provide directly.

  39. Sean, Lance had a good question and you had a good reply, certainly with all the different prophetic events going on it brings an automatic heightening to our redemption being close. Roman 11:25 remains the determining factor. Our hope is a sure hope and I would rather be watching than scoffing or sleeping.

  41. So, after searching the Scriptures at the prodding of the Holy Spirit, to include the Book of Enoch (Hanokh) which many deny as authentic, but yours truly - as early bride of Christ Church fathers and brethren did - have now come to accept that book as inspired Scripture, make note of the fact that the presence and subsequent absence of the bride of Christ on the earth can be seen in Scripture.

The OT prophets, the Gospels of the Apostles, the very special writings of Paul, and, of course, God Himself through The Revelation of Jesus Christ, all combine to show us the "envelope" for the blessed Harpazo event PRIOR to the 70th Week. So my response here is a 'fleshing out' of the 'beyond' formula I noted above. The "time frame" is there in Scripture for those who earnestly seek it in the Spirit, but hidden from Satan so he cannot possibly interfere.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Makes sense to me, our fore-fathers the Apostles could not understand the unfolding plan of God, even though Jesus fullfilled over a dozen scattered prophecies throughout the O.T. just in His final days before the cross. It wasn't until they were filled with the Holy Spirit that they came to understand through revelation. Jesus said in Luke 11 we could ask, seek, and knock and the Father would give the Holy Spirit to you.
Very insightful. It truly makes you want to seek God.

  44. Jmoll,

You're exactly correct. Jesus spoke to the Apostles (and all of Israel except for John the Baptist) in parables prior to Pentecost because Israel has been Spiritually blind as a consequence of their disbelief and disobedience since the time of Moses and after the 40 years in wilderness. Deuteronomy 29, Renewal of the Covenant in Moab. Isaiah 29:10 and Romans 11:8.

This is an often repeated truth from Scripture on this blog; it's importance for all to understand clearly is critical in the study of eschatology, the last days, and the 70th Week.

Also, we are all sealed by the Spirit upon being born again in Christ, but receiving the Holy Spirit as seen in Jesus' parable of Luke 11:5-13.

  45. Luke 11:5-13 is one of (my favorites and) the most encouraging Bible verses.

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

who are with him, who have been associated with women, that they might be polluted with all their impurity. And when all their sons shall be slain, when they shall see the perdition of their beloved, bind them for seventy generations underneath the earth, even to the day of judgment, and of consummation, until the judgment, the effect of which will last for ever, be completed. 55. Sean,

When I was first saved and really searching God's word for real meaning and purpose, I asked a very old man at church what he thought the word "rapture" meant. He said it will be contrary to reality when it happens because he had lived enough to realize that the truth won't be around when it does happen. I thought that was strange and he must have recognized the quizzical expression on my face so he enlightened me to what he meant. He said it used to be that a killer was taken care of immediately by the means provided by the Bible and no one objected. Then it became a game of making excuses for the criminal so that the penalty was kinder. Then it becomes a joke to how many years the sentence can be repealed. His final words were very strong.

He said "They will make an excuse for the disappearance because Satan will be infecting the minds of all unbelievers." I have come to believe him more every day. But I am adding another group of deniers, the church goers that never truly believed in the Sonship of Jesus Christ to our Heavenly Father and they won't want it known that they were that stupid or deceitful.

I'm thinking the strong delusion prophecy tells us is sent by the LORD in the last days is already and quite obviously manifesting in the world at this time, and doing so for the purposes He stated.

  59. Sean,

My precious brother in Christ, you said it just exactly correct. The Lord said He would send a strong delusion and deception is already taking over the minds and conscience of the World. I guess I had forgotten about it or maybe I was just wishfully hoping it was not here already. Another floated right past me as I read your comment about the delusion and it was about Satan railing against those in Heaven but I can't recall where it is.

But I loved the passage you lead us to regarding How many went out to tell Elisha that God was going to take Elijah that day? I think it was 2 Kings 2:1-15, in fact I know it was because I wrote it down and it was laying at my left hand just now. My question to you is, are there 50 men in a company of the prophets and what was the fire enveloping when Elijah was translated to Heaven? That is my question to all of you. And where was the cloak when Elijah left Earth that day?

I love this present postings and comments, especially Miriam's testimony. What a beautiful report and I truly needed to read it and think of my own conversion. God is so beyond words but my heart is overflowing with this great big desire to open up my mouth and lay all of my known words of praise and adoration at His throne. Someday we will be able to do that very wonderful joy and to see HIM face to face. Oh what a glorious day that will be.

SHALOM MY FRIENDS AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL GREATLY FOREVER"

  60. GG5,

Yes, 2 Kings 2 is the first detailed look at the Harpazo of a living human being. With Enoch it was just "God took him." With Elijah the details for our study are abundant. And to my knowledge the questions I asked back then were never answered; folks were apparently just astonished to read the chapter of 2 Kings for its details. I may have to fix that as the Lord leads, possibly as an update to this post.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Sean,

For me, simply reading the details of that chapter was a game changer. I had bought into the "signless event" school of thought, but that really goes against God's character....IMHO. God, time in & time out, provides warning & awareness for those that seek it. I think about Matt 7:9, "if a son or daughter asks for bread, will you give them a stone?". My wife and I will do everything we can to make sure our kids are prepared for this world....how much more will God do for us if we ask and heed him? Thank you for sharing that info....I feel there is probably so much more that I have read and forgotten because I did not understand it's importance/significance when I first read the material. I find it interesting that the prophets knew, but they were in unbelief when the event happened. It plays into your comments about the strong delusion, in my opinion...there will be people that understand what happened, but they will wrestle with the reality of it. The delusion will offer a convenient alibi for denial. Both Elijah & Elisha were 100% convinced....so much so that it was a foregone conclusion to them both.

Simply retelling those details is what the Spirit led to be done here. My fingers on the keyboard, but His words written.

It matters not how all of those people knew, the fact is - they knew!!! And they knew in some detail when and what was going to happen.

And then when it did happen, and they saw it happen, they did not truly believe much less accept that Elijah had been taken up to God.

      Astounding!

      Signless? No, just the opposite.
The signs are all around us.

I think I have been truly watching for our beloved promise of being Called Up to Jesus every since 1964 when I was first saved. I was blessed to have been brought to the Lord by a woman who had recently moved to our little rural community from the Chicago Area and her love of the Lord and God's Holy Word started me off on the right footing. In fact, that is basically what she and her husband were very well versed in "the Coming of the Lord for the Bride" and my home became the activity focus of a large group of women seeking a closer and more personal walk with Jesus Christ.

But my excitement level is almost to the point of consuming me, for lack of a more delicate expression. If I could put it into words I think I would feel better but maybe the Lord will grace me with that ability before much longer. You see, when I suffered my only major medical setback in December of 2015 I lost some of my ability to speak, definitely to think clearly, and also to type. You all probably have realized that during these last few months. However, I am now quite able to access and use my iMac computer in a manner that no longer resembles a little child playing on the keyboard. So, I have much excitement spanning many subjects and I just have this huge desire to shout it out and hope that God will provide me with the necessary arsenal of words, wisdom and a Great Holy Spirit Anointing to do so to HIS Glory.

So, keep looking and if you sense there is someone close by looking with you, it's me!

Pentecost Sunday is June 4th 2017.

All of the Pentecost Sundays to 2021 are listed above.

Pentecost IS NOT a Jewish observance, it is related to the Jewish Shavu'ot which preceeds it. It is incorrect to use a Jewish calendar to observe a Christian Holy Day anniversay observance.

Pentecost is unique to the Christian faith. It is the 50th day after Resurrection Sunday, which is also Day One of the 50-day count to Pentecost

That is an interesting study Pastor Ciocvolanti presented; it most certainly is on a subject I've never seen explored previously by anyone.

I agree that the first book of Enoch has authenticity and 2/3 are not so. I'm still going through -slowly - the chapters of Enoch 1 that was translated from the Ethiopic language, and now need to read faster and get to the 90th.

  73. Also, if this study is accurate, and therefore truly valid, then Bibi Netanyahu has to be the very last Israeli PM. If not then Cioccolanti's study and interpretation is flawed, and Enoch 1 will be proven to contain a false prophecy - which is where I will cease all study of the book.

With any new interpretation or teaching put forward what we're supposed to do is verify first thru Scripture, and if it's not (like Enoch is not), then it becomes an exercise in fact checking.

What I realized was that after Saul there was a period of two simultaneous kings. One of those kings was not counted.

The two kings were Ishbosheth and David. Ishbosheth was assassinated, leaving David as the only king. Ishbosheth was not counted.
