Global SITREP A8-18: Regional Warfare

SpaceX Falcon rocket
Russia's new Su-57 in Syria

Update 23 February 2018:
Two items to make note of in this update, the first related to the SITREP title, the other is about the near future.

Russia has deployed into Hmeimim airbase two Su-57 "stealth" aircraft. (Image directly above). Why? To test the aircraft against the American F-22 Raptor and Israel's F-35I Adir as well as our ability to detect it. It is so new that it has not yet garnered a flashy F-series NATO Name, and just by looking at photographs and video it does not appear to be all that "stealthy." It looks like a dressed up Su-27 Flanker. We'll see.

The image at top is the Space-X Falcon rocket. Yesterday it was to quietly and without fanfare launch the first of what will soon be a 12,000-strong fleet of "Starlink" spacecraft which are to bring high-speed internet like a blanket over the entire surface of our blue marble. I'm sure you all recognize the prophetic implications of such a Starlink fleet of spacecraft. Just another indicator of the global systems being put into place.

17 February 2018: Disturbing news this morning from both US and Kurdish media sources: Turkish troops have used rockets with chemical warheads. These Turkish chemical weapon injured at least six civilians, two critically, in the ongoing fighting around Arenda village in the Shea district of Afrin, Syria. The rockets warhead chemical agent has been specified as chlorine gas. Seven individuals were named in the Kurdish report (updated @ 0900 17 FEB EST) and were taken to Afrin central hospital. ZeroHedge has a near identical report posted simultaneously with the Kurdistan24 report.

The proliferation of the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government, Jihadist rebels, and now Turkey in Syria is something which cannot be undone. it Their use is a gateway the size of Texas to even more powerful WMD and to increased foreign military intervention, such as France has promised. Additional foreign intervention is precisely what U.S. National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster called for this morning at the ongoing security conference in Munich, Germany. Again, chemical weapons use, specifically in northwestern Syria, is something Eschatology Today has consistently made note of in conjunction with Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49:23-27.

Turkey also made the news this week (Thursday) in a report by the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT). IPT reported that Israel's internal security agency, Shin Bet, has exposed the depth of Turkish support for HAMAS military wing in Gaza. Shin Bet made two arrests, a Turkish national and an Israeli-Arab, who are accused of working for HAMAS in Turkey. Shin Bet public these arrests on Monday 12 FEB. The Shin Bet surveillance discovered a Turkish company known as SADAT, whose designed purpose it is to financially support and provide war materiel to HAMAS. There is no way the Turkish government would be unware of this activity. Details at the embedded link.

Israel has been battling HAMAS terror tunnels. Next they may be dealing with HAMAS drones acquired through Turkish arms merchants.

16 February 2018: Eschatology Today assesses that the "Battle of al-Tabiyeh" near Dier-Ez-Zor on February 7, 2018 marks an entirely new phase of the war in Syria. The superpowers and major powers' military forces on both sides of this conflict are now in direct conflict with each other as these SITREPs have been forecasting for some time now based upon Bible prophecy. And other countries, such as France, are about to join in.

The anonymously reported number of Russian ChVK Wagner merc casualties in the Battle of al-Tabiyeh has now risen to 300. It has been roughly stated as 200 KIA and 100 critically injured. Of the 100 wounded now medevaced back to central military hospital in Khimki, Russia, a full third of them may yet succumb to their wounds raising the overall KIA count resultant from that battle. Russia continues to hide and outright deny the fact that Russian combat troops, mercs or not, are more deeply involved in this war than they will publicly acknowledge. The Russian denials ring very hollow.

Wounded troops themselves report that there were two 275-man battle formations of ChVK Wagner troops engaged in that battle. That is the upper-level number of OPFOR combatants reported officially by THE US-led CJTF-OIR. This leads to the stunning possibility that there may not have been any Syrian or Iranian Shi'a militias present in the battle, or put another way, the Battle of al-Tabiyeh may have been a direct Russia vs CJTF-OIR engagement.

A major effort in reinforcing on both sides in terms of the number of troops and their lethality is underway. It is a given that larger and more lethal engagements are a certainty. Isaiah 17, Jeremiah 49:23-27.

  1. Sean,

Isn't all of this activity covered extensively in a manner that would warrant Extreme Response from Israel and the USA? If not then there definitely should be and immediately. One thing that has allowed all of the extremist behavior over the past 10 years in the Middle East especially has to be related to so called Political Correctness.

I have another name for it and you what I mean.

  2. There is ongoing military activity around Gaza... a rocket launch was detected, sirens in Sha'ar HaNehev, and IED detonated near IDF troops. The IAF has struck at least six HAMAS targets in Gaza...this is breaking news.

  3. I was thinking the Iranian drone was sent to probe defenses, reaction time, and response. It seems strange to me to send a single drone. Wonder if they got the info they were after in the form of the smoking ruins of their AA sites?

  4. The HAMAS rocket hit the roof of a house in Sha'ar HaNegev, no injuries, family took shelter as sirens wailed.

IDF tank fired on a group approaching Gaza fence; fatalies reported.

  5. LtCol Conricus said the drone was on a specific mission. One can easily discern this by looking up Beit She'an on a map of Israel, (let that sink in when you look at a map) and knowing it crossed in from Jordan, and originated at the T4 air base in Syria.

  6. Looks like an invasion route....we really are in those tick-tock moments.

  7. The mission was for recon behind Israel's northern front defensive lines. It was by an aircraft with limited stealth capability which infiltrated from the relatively soft Jordanian frontier while US and Israel were running an anti-ballistic exercise, Juniper Cobra.

Nevertheless, the IDF tracked this drone from take-off to 90 seconds after infiltration when it was blown out of the sky by an IDF Apache.

    Nice work.

  8. btw... US and Israel today issued what I would consider a warning order for military action against Iran.

  9. Sean,

Good Sunday morning and I trust that you are holding up very well with the Arms of God Firmly in place around you. The news keeps on getting worse and worse for the unsaved and so many are outright complaining that all of this is getting them down.

But as I was reading your comments again this morning this passage of scripture kinda knocked me off of my concentration. " For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him." 2 Chron. 16:9. But I left off the last part of that verse because it was a warning from the Seer to Asa, king of Judah because he had sent silver and gold to the ruler of Syria instead of trusting God Almighty. Here is that last portion "Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars." At first "I" didn't think it applied to this current situation in combating the Syrian, Russian and Turkey actions but I didn't get any rest until I corrected my assumptions. But HIS EYES and in HIS ARMS is enough for me.

  11. No surprise, but after Bibi's speech at the Security Conference, Iran has threatened to level Tel Aviv.

Big mistake, but go ahead and try. ;)

  12. Sean,

I love your comment: "Big mistake, but go ahead and try. ;)" and for sure Russia knows all about Ez. 38 and 39 from way back in 2007. He had a long discussion with the Russian Orthodox church that was pretty well reported during that time period. So let 'em go at it but now all of us have the proper tools for our Heavenly Petitions to begin.

  13. Several news outlets reporting this morning that evangelist Billy Graham has gone home to be with the Lord. Here's thanking Him for a life well-lived and for a terrific ministry that reached literally worldwide. During his long ministry, Billy Graham preached to more people in person than anyone else in history.

  14. I always wondered if Billy would get raptured? Maybe God wanted him to have a single entrance into Heaven. What a morning he must be having!!

    Soon and very soon!

  15. The news this morning about Billy Graham brought back many wonderful memories of this precious man and his love and devotion to God Almighty. Our nation has seen the demise of our trusted and elder statesmen for ABBA FATHER and yet we are still richer for what they have taught us and shared to bring about the ability to stand in the face of adversity and not flinch, snivel or quit the tasks before all of us.

Can't you begin to really feel the advancing Presence of the Lord even this morning? Haven't been so sad and yet elated before in my whole life and I think I know why!

  16. I will always associate Billy Graham Crusades with the singing of 'How Great Thou Art' by George Beverly Shea and Cliff Barrow accompanying at the altar call. I must have watch a dozen or so live when color TV was something new in the 60s and 70s.

And I'll also never forget the crusade that came to New York (Manhattan) on the great lawn of Central Park. Johnny Cash was there with a quarter-million other people on 22 September 1991.

  17. One article said they hope to have the internet satellites up and running in 2020. Just in the time. On a purely technological level, what spacex is doing is quite amazing.

  19. Sean,
You know I love the U.S.A. Navy and all of the branches of our military services from a very, very long time ago. So, with your news of the Ruskins deployment of two heavy duty fighters into Syria, I couldn't help but dig a little deeper into the story. I have greatly enjoyed the excitement of finding a vast supply of ready info out in cyberspace but this site gave me a fantastic front row seat this evening and if you find it passes inspection, others might enjoy it also. Lots of insight into the Ruskins behavior but some critics analysis also on the motives and possible affects they are hoping to achieve.

Also, Popular Mechanics (one of my favorite sites) has some excellent background on the new birds in Syria.

  21. "The deployment came with a covert warning to Israel by a Russian official, who said that the presence of the Su-57s will doubtlessly send a political message, serving as a deterrent “for aircraft from neighboring states, which periodically fly into Syrian airspace uninvited.”

    (from The Times of Israel)

I don't really get what the Russians are expecting.

  22. Russia intends for these four Su-57 to very soon challenge the IAF F-35 Adir and USAF F-22 in Syria.

Syria is a live battleground testing facility for these not yet ready for combat aircraft, of which only a total of 9 exist.

  23. Breaking news reports within the past half-hour: CJTF-OIR forces have once again attacked pro-Syrian forces attempting to expand east of the Euphrates River near Dier-Ez-Zor.

    No further details...

  24. Pardon the expression, but the handwriting is on the wall. It is highly suggestive of Israel initiating a major preemptive operation on the northern front.
