Global SITREP B4-23: Operation Shield and Arrow Continues

10 May 2023: As anticipated Red Alert sirens began sounding anew in southern Israeli towns today. First in Sderot, then Ashkelon, Ashdod and Lachish and others in the so-called "Gaza envelope" heard the warnings announcing inbound enemy rockets.

The IAF response was both preemptive and immediate as the Iran-aligned Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) rocket launch sites and mortar positions were struck following IDF ISR (Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance) detected ground activity at those sites prior to any launches.  Those sites were promptly destroyed. Other sites were then identified as their ordnance became airborne and took incoming IAF airstrikes.

Just minutes ago enemy rockets, probably the more capable rockets fielded by HAMAS, were launched at Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan and Givatayim in central Israel. This is breaking news. updates as always...

  1. Events will be transpiring rapidly, but we've been anticipating what is now occurring for a long time; updating in as near to real-time as possible will be attempted. Especially watchful for additional rocket fire coming out of Lebanon and Syria.

    1. It appears full-scale war is in-progress, hundreds of terrorist rockets fired at Israel.

  2. The terrorists have messa ged a direct threat against Shuk Hacarmel (Carmel Market) in Tel Aviv, saying they'll "be there" in a couple hours.

There's growing consensus in Israel that this is an opportunity to finish the terrorists in Gaza that should not be allowed to pass.

    1. The Mach 7.5 hit-to-kill David's Sling missile defense system has thus far prevented enemy rockets from hitting Tel Aviv with mid-air interceptions.

  3. The IDF is maneuvering near the Lebanese border, possibly in anticipation of HAMAS rockets being fired from Lebanon.

  4. Apparently from a Zoom meeting Bibi had...

    Sounds biblically familiar!

“It’s clear that 95% of Israel’s security problems come from Iran,” the prime minister said in a Zoom address to a conference organized by the Israel Defense and Security Forum (IDSF).

“We are dealing with an attempt by Iran to start a multi-front campaign against us. I instructed the IDF [Israel Defense Forces] and security forces to be prepared for this fight. … If we need to, we will,” he added.

    1. In my assessment the current war is 100% an Iranian gambit to preempt an Israeli strike on its nuke facilities - which can cross the nuclear threshold at will.

Perhaps preempting Iran's nuke should be priority #1 at this time. Israel needs to do this.

  5. It's going on 10 PM in Israel and reports of a ceasefire are not true; the IAF continues striking PIJ targets throughout Gaza.

According to Minister Bezalel Smotrich "if the Jihad wishes to ceasefire they are free to do so."

PM Netanyahu said Operation Shield and Arrow continues even though its primary objective was achieved in the first seconds of the operation; Israel will continue to strike terrorists at the time and place of its choosing.

    1. The current conflict, barring an unforeseen escalation, is likely to continue in moderate intensity until the Thursday, May 18 Jerusalem Day flag march by tens of thousands of Zionist youth.

As always, terrorist threats against the flag march and the "Judaization" of Temple Mount are patently ludicrous, but legitimate threats of greater violence.

These type of things on Temple Mount will continue as can be seen during the first 1,260 days of the 70th Week of Years and the ministry of God's Two Witnesses. Woe unto those who attempt to harm them.

  10. Late evening 11 May and Israel has its first death (Rehovot) due to a terrorist rocket that was made in Iran. Thus far more than 800 rockets launched at Israel.

The Likud-led government of Israel must achieve complete and unconditional victory or it will be unlikely to survive public anger.

  11. FINAL ET COMMENT
Morning, Friday 12 May and Operation Shield and Arrow is likely to terminate.

HAMAS and Hezbollah show no signs of joining combat ops at this time; Iran may have used their PIJ proxy to assess Israel's resolve.

The PIJ was at the start of this brief war the military equivalent of HAMAS in 2008. The PIJ is now leaderless and half of what it was a week ago, yet it has accomplished its Iranian-assigned mission.

Iran will now assess that a full-scale rocket assault by HAMAS (Gaza), HEZBOLLAH (Lebanon) and Shi'a Militias in Syria would be sufficent to overwhelm Israel's missile defenses and cause great death and destruction to Israel's major cities (Isaiah 17); that this brief war caused Israel to put off any Israeli strike on its nuclear program thus gaining precious days of enrichment to weapons grade materiel.

Next Thursday's Flag Day march in Jerusalem could trigger the main event as HAMAS has indicated.

    Keep watching!

    1. Rocket fire from Gaza has resumed: Jerusalem and Gush Etzion are the targets. Israeli consideration of a ceasefire is premature.

    2. What a difference a couple of hours can make! It changes as quickly as the weather.

Israel has abandoned all talk about a ceasefire and has resumed heavy attacks in Gaza.

    3. Under no circumstance should Israel's government accept a ceasefire until Palestinian Islamic Jihad (Holy War) is crushed - crushed as in thoriughly defeated - and unable to wage war ever again against the State of Israel.

This is an imperative since PIJ announced today that they cannot cease fire because they've not achieved ALL of their military objectives.

      PIJ must be swiftly annihilated.

    5. Jon,
      Actually... never.

The 1949-50 armistice resulted in more war in 1956, and again in 1967, and 1973.
Lebanon and Syria have been in a perpetual state of war with Israel from the get-go.

What we discuss here is the final end-game of the Arab/Islamic war against Israel.

    6. Yup. Never. All a ceasefire ever did was give the Muslims time to arm themselves.
Speaking of the final endgame of the Islamic war, I was blessed to have a great teaching moment with my nephews who were never taught such things. I was able to teach them about the psalm 83 war and Ezekiel 38&39 and how they fit into the prophetic scenario. Blogsites such as this and Lamb&Lion ministries are where I got most of the info, that and the Holy Bible itself. They never heard of the psalm 83 prophecy and only bits and pieces of Gog/Magog. It's a pity that sites like this are rare in this leodicean age

  12. Riddle me this...

For what reason would the United States bolster its military forces and defenses in the Gulf at this time?

Well, "bolster" is the wrong tense.

The United States has recently bolstered its military forces and defenses in the Gulf.

If you read Global SITREP B1-23 you already know why this action was taken.

At 10 PM IDT a ceasefire will begin.

    1. But it was just a rumor... terrorist rocket barrages continue into southern and central Israel; the IAF continues making more piles of rubble of buildings and underground bunkers all across Gaza.

  14. It seems there may now be quiet - temporarily at best - while PIJ was launching rockets the rest were conspiring.

    1. The "ceasefire" is just that, a cessation of hostile actions by the PIJ terrorists.

Israel agreed to nothing; there were no terms negotiated and the only reason the ceasefire has occurred is due to PIJ halting their rocket and mortar firing at the behest of the Egyptian government.

Remember, both HAMAS & PIJ are offshoots of the Egyptian al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun or Muslim Brotherhood who are Islamic supremacists; i.e. Islamic terrorists.

So, this ceasefire is in all truth an Islamic jihadist hudna, a temporary halt to re-arm and re-organize to continue the "holy war" against Israel.

      Stay awake.

      Marana'tha!

    2. Sean, the same “Muslim Brotherhood” that Obama supported into power in Egypt some years back?? LD

    3. The PIJ terrorists broke their own hudna and launched rockets today. Israel responded to the rockets with strike aircraft and Merkava tank fire on PIJ positions in Gaza.

    4. LD,

Yes, it's the same "Muslim Brotherhood."
