Global SITREP B9-24: Striking the Bow and Bringing the Sword

IRGC Aerospace Shahab-3

UPDATED 16 October 2024: The IDF is actively shaping the battlefield, not only in Lebanon but also in the Golan Heights where since 1 October new forward positions have been created, and operation to remove landmines have been largely completed. Use the clickable map below for reference as we move forward.

UNDOF ZONE

Notice the direct connection the UNDOF (United Nations Disengagement Observer Force) Zone has between Lebanon's eastern border, Syria's southern border and a small section of Jordan's northern border. The western border of the zone is known as the A Line and it functions as Israel's de facto border with Syria; the eastern border is Syria's de facto border with Israel separated by UNDOF troop deployments along its entire length since its institution at the end of the 1973 Yom Kippur War. The 1,080 international troops deployed in the zone, in order of contingent size, are Nepal, Uruguay, India, Fiji and Kazakhstan with a handful each from Ghana, Ireland, Bhutan and the Czech Republic.

It is important to note this as Jeremiah 49:26 foretells dire a result for men in general and soldiers ("all the men of war"). Eschatology Today is of the opinion that this verse dovetails with Isaiah 17:12-13. Even a cursory reading these prophetic Scriptures informs as to the reason for the coming dire circumstance which forces their hasty departure.

There is also, as we've noted previously, a reason for the forward push into the Golan, and that would be to flank Hezbollah from the east in southern Lebanon, possibly to in preempt or interdict a mass evacuation of their forces northward. Some reports indicate that Kata'ib Hezbollah (Iraqi Shi'a militia) may have been instructed to forgo engaging in combat with the IDF. This is likely a very temporary situation if accurate.

In the meantime, sand is rapidly falling into the bottom of the proverbial hourglass marking how soon Israel will pounce to strike the bow and bring its very capable sword upon the Iranian Twelver regime. A paradigm changing event to be sure.

IDF released image of KIA Yahya Sinwar

18 October 2024: An IDF armored reconnaissance unit engaged in a firefight with three HAMAS terrorists Wednesday, 16 October. The unit was unaware that one of the three combatants was Yahya Sinwar. Sinwar was attempting to flee from Rafah to the Al-Mawasi humanitarian zone on the Mediterranean Sea when spotted by the IDF recon force. A Merkava IV MBT fired a single round into the impromptu hideaway (a house) which ultimately killed the HAMAS leader. He was also found to have bullet wounds to his head and chest.

Suspecting explosive charges in the immediate area the IDF waited until Thursday to search and clear the area before accessing the site. The image above was released by the IDF; it shows IDF troops standing over the deceased Sinwar. Sinwar's identity was confirmed by DNA testing. Subsequent searching of the immediate area did not locate any of the Israeli hostages nor any sign of their presence. Many media reports had long insisted the Israeli hostages were surrounding Sinwar as human shields. Islamic radicals will almost certainly hail Yahya Sinwar as a martyr who died in direct battle with the IDF. Sinwar is gone but the war is not over in Gaza.

Flight of two B-2 Spirit stealth bombers

In a direct warning to Iran the United States deployed long-range B2 Spirit stealth bombers to destroy five hardened weapons depots in a Houthi-controlled region of Yemen on October 17. The depots contained missiles and other weapons used by the Houthis to attack commercial and military ships in the Red Sea and missiles that targeted Israel. It is unknown if the Spirit's departed from CONUS or from a forward base of operations to conduct the strike. It is very likely the first American use of the B-2 in combat since 2017 and the first operational strike mission employing the GBU-57 MOP (Massive Ordnance Penetrator), a 27,125-pound weapon which can penetrate over 200 feet deep into earth and reinforced concrete bunkers. Each Spirit carries two MOPs. The Spirit's mission and weapon chosen were clearly a powerful message to the Islamic Republic of Iran which now understands that destruction of its Natanz nuclear site is clearly within the capability set of American B-2's armed either with the GBU-57 or newer GBU-57 F/B variants, or the newest GBU-72B, a 5,000-pound all-weather precision strike bunker buster weapon. It is no accident this strike on the Houthis and their Iranian-made weapons occurred as Israel is an advanced stage of their own and very imminent air assault on Iranian targets...

Moshiach Patch on IDF Uniform

UPDATE 22 October 2024: The Moshiach (Messiah) patch below the Israel 'Star of David' flag patch was taken off a soldiers arm by CoS Herzi HaLevi and placed in his pocket, close to his heart.

This Messiah Crown patch has caused quite a stir in Israel, with some opining that to Christian and Jewish Messianic soldiers it honors Jesus Messiah, the King of Israel.

To others it honors the Orthodox Moshiach; that it is a symbol of the IDF being the army of God (Ezekiel 37).

Others opine that since the patch is officially non-approved it belongs in a pocket, close to the soldiers heart.

And a very, very small minority of secular Israelis have nothing but disdain for the patch because they reject all messiahs at face value.

The wearing of non-approved uniform patches is widespread among virtually all of the world's armies; most commanders allow them as morale boosters. The US military is among them, particularly the DTOM and Punisher patches.

  4. The IAF struck a weapons depot in Syria's port city Latakia early this morning (zero dark-thirty). Secondary explosions destroyed the depot. Latakia is the heart of Syria's minority Alawite sect who are connected to Iran's Shi'a. Latakia is the base of power for Bashar al-Assad's ruling Alawite dictatorship.

  5. HAMAS leader Yahya Sinwar was shot to death by IDF troops during a firefight in Rafah Wednesday night. The IDF unit did not know Sinwar was among the HAMAS combatants in the firefight. On Thursday after clearing booby traps the IDF made a preliminary ID of Sinwar being KIA, they removed a piece of finger for DNA testing to confirm his identification. A pixelated image will be posted in a SITREP update.

  7. On 30 September PM Netanyahu spoke directly to the Iranian people. One key statement was this:

"When Iran is finally free — and that moment will come a lot sooner than people think – everything will be different."

What Bibi said here identifies one of the primary objectives of the imminent IDF strikes inside Iran - regime change!

This is 100% consistent with Jeremiah's prophecy. The unknown is the duration, but its nearness takes us from now until Ezekiel 38/39.

  8. Looking to the east, North Korea (one of the "kings of the East") is deploying thousands of its troops into Russia. At least an initial number of 1,500 special forces with 11,000 regular troops have been identified training at a base in Sergeevka, Russia. The North Korean troops have been issued Russian uniforms, weapons and ID cards. The intel on this is sourced to both Soith Korean and Ukrainian intelligence directorates. They begin warfighting against Ukraine in early November.

  16. A specific example of Bible prophecy being fulfilled today, and quite literally I will add, as well as being an unknown to most Christians at this time is Russia’s ever increasing military threats to deter ANY Israeli retaliatory or preemptive strikes against Iran. The absolute truth of this is found in Ezekiel 38:7 (NKJV) -

"Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them."

The truthfulness and clarity of this God-breathed Scripture and what Russia (Magog) is doing right now is beyond question, unless one is living in abject denial.

    1. Jmoll,

Praise the LORD! The fact that this has been widely unknown largely relates to how little in-progress fulfillment of Scripture prophecy is taught these days followed by near real-time examples of them being communicated with a sense of urgency.

It's getting later with each sunrise and sunset. There were dozens of great Bible prophecy websites a few years ago, but now they are as rare as rare can be.

  18. Israel's security cabinet has declined to provide the PM and DM authority to issue an Iran strike order. The issue is those few MKs say the overall plan is too weak in light of the drone assassination attempt on the PMs private residence.

This is very likely to change following the Netanyahu chat with Trump this past weekend. Bibi told Trump that "Israel will make its decisions based on its national interests," to which Trump replied, "you do what you have to do."

Is a nuclear armed Twelver Iran in Israel's national interests? Of course not! The security cabinet will certainly provide the PM and DM execute authority promptly now.

  19. Sean, it is amazing to see how God speaks to us. I just read your Oct 22 update after finishing in my quiet time - a study on Is 59. Specifically, Is 59:19 speaks about WHEN the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift a standard up against him,(God lifts a banner). Perhaps this Messiah patch is just that...the Standard? Verse 20 then states: 'The Redeemer will come to Zion and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob"... My commentary says that the rabbi's refer to the word "when" is the coming of the Messiah and the generation that endures much tribulation should then expect Him!. Dakes commentary states "God's standard which will save the people on that day is Jesus Christ"! Maranatha. We are so close. LD

In fact, even the US is NOT fully aware of the specifics. They know how to keep secrets secret.

Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has very recently spoken about the coming revolt and how it will commence with IDF and/or US/Allied strikes against the IRGC military.

I know this isn't about politics, but a Trump administration would be the best thing for Israel. He'd give full support and I think if he wins, Israel will go full force and finish the job. Delete
    4. Precisely.

Operation: Days of Repentance was executed in three waves and did great damage to IRGC high-value targets, especially air defense (AD) systems. These targets leave Iran very vulnerable to further Israeli strikes. Israel's ALBMs accounted for the most significant losses to Iran and from which they'll not soon recover. Russia is hard pressed from Ukrainian strikes and can't afford to send S-300/S-400 AD systems to replace the Iranian losses.

      Delete
    5. Bro. Sean; I recall that they (Iran) already had to replace a significant amount of AD assets not too long ago (courtesy of the Russians), following IAF strikes?

There are also credible indications that there have been massive leadership purges in Iran (technical, political, intel & military - on a Stalinist scale), and that this is materially affecting their ability to act. This was induced by Israeli success in counterintel operations.

Israel clearly enjoys some pretty significant support within Iran proper and it at least appears that their strategy is predicated on undermining the Twelver regime from within. They (Twelvers) are currently weak and running on vapour IMO. Wouldn't take much of a push to induce a full collapse.

The yet-to-occur 'breaking the bow' event could well achieve just that. Bro Steve

  40. Before moving on to the next SITREP a recap is a good idea.

HAMAS in Gaza has been militarily destroyed, its leadership wiped out, rocket and mortar fire is intermitant at best and small remnant survivors of fighting units are hunted incessantly by the IDF. Israel has full military control of Gaza.

Hezbollah is rapidly following in HAMAS footsteps to destruction in southern and central Lebanon; it can no longer provide military support to the al-Assad regime in Syria and weapons resupplies from Twelver Iran are like an indangered species, but the war continues with more than 100 rockets being fired into Israel every day.

Iran is more vulnerable than ever and the best it can do is wave a broken sword and empty threats at Israel. Should the Twelver regime seek to save face before its proxy forces and act again against Israel it risks its very existence as foretold in Scripture.
