UPDATED 16 April 2025: Except for a few corrected typographical errors, this SITREP from seven years ago (30 April-1 May 2018) remains in its original form. Some readers may not have seen this in the archive listing of Eschatology Today posts and SITREP's, so it may serve as both a reminder and new information for all readers. It most certainly is relevant to the present as you will see after reading it.
Global SITREP B3-18: The War Against Iran Escalates: JCPOA Nuclear Deal is Toast
30 April 2018: It was a very bad day for the Islamic Republic of Iran, and if it's any consolation to the Ayatollah, much worse days are yet to come.
The image above is of the fireball that erupted following a preemptive strike on what had been known as the Syria Arab Army's 47th Brigade base located 7 miles south of Hama in northwestern Syria. The base, which had been occupied by an IRGC militia of Pakistani Shi'a known as Liya Zaynabiyoun, is adjacent to the village of Ma'arin al-Jabal. The "had been" is due to the size of the first and second order detonations; it is unlikely much remains of this base.
This base itself has been noted by some as a bunker complex. On the contrary, the three massive above ground structures were perfect for housing and/or assembling fairly large ballistic missiles. The largest of the structures, seen in satellite images captured earlier this year, was well over 400 feet in length and 300 feet in width, two relatively smaller structures measured approximately 300 feet in length and 75 feet in width. Eight ancillary buildings were adjacent to the larger ones and could not have escaped the primary and secondary blasts intact.
Accordingly, use of a bunker buster bomb does not fit the above-ground nature of this facility. However, Israel's version of the US Mk-82 laser guided bomb, known as the MP-500 (Massive Penetrator 500 lbs) could have been the weapon of choice to level this facility and leave a gigantic smoking hole in its place.
The main blast registered as a 2.6 Richter scale event on regional seimosgraphs. According to many reports the blast and dozens of simultaneous secondary ordnance detonations killed or wounded a very large number of the Pakistani Shi'a militiamen who apparently had duty safeguarding two hundred Iranian ballistic missiles destined for delivery to Lebanese Hezbollah. That delivery has obviously been cancelled. Additional strikes are reported to have occurred at bases near Aleppo, but they do not even remotely compare to what happened at Ma'arin al-Jabal at 10:30 PM Sunday night.
Then came Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu's equally massive nuclear bombshell regarding the Iranian nuclear weapons program. To be short and sweet on this issue, this intelligence coup makes preemptive strikes on the Iranian nuclear weapons sites more likely than not. The nonsensical JCPOA that Obama and Kerry masterminded is now just so much burnt toast. We'll find out how burnt it is in about 12 days time.
It also must be noted that the Israeli human intelligence collection operation which secured the hundreds of thousands of documents and digital data is unlike anything any nation has achieved in modern history. A close second intelligence coup might be the Polish engineer during WWII who memorized the Nazi "Enigma" cryptographic machine's impossibly complex inner workings so that allied engineers could reporoduce it in England. However, even the Enigma machine pales in comparison the the details exposed by the Israeli operation.
And as US President Trump prepares to meet with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, Eschatology Today would be completely remiss to not note one important detail revealed by PM Netanyahu. The Iranian warhead design appears to be virtually identical to the primary core that Kim Jong Un was photographed standing next to not too long ago. As has long been maintained here, the North Korean and Iranian nuclear programs have been conjoined twins for decades.
UPDATE 1 May 2018: If you've not yet seen the entirety of PM Netanyahu's presentation on the Islamic Republic of Iran's "Project Amad," please make the effort to do so as what I am adding as an update will bring all of his revealed information full-circle and bring full understanding on why Iran has been dead set on the development nuclear weapons.
The Iranian development of nuclear weapons has always been 100% about Shi'a Islamic eschatology. In fact, the name of their effort, which PM Netanyahu revealed as "Project Amad" is actually over-anglicized from the Farsi language and should be "Project Amahd." "Project Amahd" itself is actually Farsi shorthand for its true name, "Project al-Mahdi." Many of you are now likely having a light bulb illuminating in your minds because you are aware that the mythical al-Mahdi is central to much of the Islamic creed. For Shi'a Islami, the al-Mahdi is ground zero for all of their eschatological beliefs.
The focus here will not be on the mythical man who is this Shi'a messianic figure, but what his adherents, known as Hojjatieh and Twelvers, believe. For them the al-Mahdi is the foundation of everything they believe. And what they believe is the utility of nuclear weapons in quickly achieving their end-state objective in hastening the al-Mahdi's reappearance once they possess such weapons. Israel knows this, and the U.S. Government ever since the Clinton Administration has known this. Now we all know this.
A few brief points on what the Shi'a believe and are acting on. The Iranian Shi'a Twelvers, who are 85% of Shi'a Islam, all believe that the Sunni Muslims will make war on the al-Mahdi. So Iran has been at war with Sunni Islam for some time due to this belief.
The Iranian Shi'a Twelvers also believe - and this explains perfectly why Iran is so invested in the Syrian Civil War - that a great war must occur in Syria until the country is completely destroyed. A similar rationale exists for the country of Iraq. The Shi'a Twelvers, such as former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his clique of Hojjatieh clerics believe that provoking nuclear war with Israel or America will hasten al-Mahdi's reappearance; such chaos is critical to this end. If the Islamic Republic of Iran acquires nuclear weapons, such as the five weapons PM Netanyahu cited, they will use them.
Now you should have full understanding on why the U.S. and Israel, and a precious few other nations, particularly Saudi-led GCC, see the imperative necessity of preempting Iranian acquisition of nuclear weapons even if it means launching strikes into Iran.

| Russia-Iran Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty |
UPDATE 22 April 2025: Eschatology Today believes that the events of the past three days effectively signal that the critical moment of the Jeremiah 49:34-39 prophecy is now at hand. Do not be dismayed if you missed notification of the events, the vast majority of the media deliberately attempted to keep you in the dark. However, that's why I and some other watchmen are here!
Saturday night Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu issued a video recorded speech. Although advance notice was given of the speech the vast majority of Israel's left-wing media outlets declined to air the speech in full. Some even declared it unworthy of the airtime required to present it in full, while others obfuscated the critical point of the speech completely. Nevertheless, the critical point in the speech came when the PM said that while he greatly preferred a joint strike by the US and Israel to neuter the Iranian nuclear program, Israel is prepared to go it alone.
The response to PM Netanyahu from Russian dictator Vladimir Putin came yesterday morning when he officially signed (ratified) the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty (CSTP) between Russia and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This "covenant" between Russia and Iran is effectively a comprehensive alliance geared toward their military and diplomatic agendas. It is a direct challenge to Israel and the United States intended to forestall joint or unilateral military action against Iran's nuclear program.
Leaning forward, Eschatology Today assesses that the CSTP will fail its intended purpose but will ultimately result in the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38/39. Put another way in full, the CSTP will fail to preempt the fulfillment of Jeremiah 49:34-39 but will result thereafter in the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38/39. In-between these two fulfillments are the fulfillments of Isaiah 17 and the conclusion of the Psalm 83 war, both currently in a process of fulfillment.
This, Brothers and Sisters, reveals precisely where we are on The Prophetic Road to Revelation.

ReplyDeleteYou never disappoint us with your updates and I have been deliberately lagging around the designated "Intelligence Room" here at home waiting for it and It us excellent workmanship.
Now down to some questions that keep me awake at night. First off, is there a proven possibility that No. Korea is trying to sell a pig in a poke to the USA and So. Korea with the nuclear carrot and end of disputes with So. Korea? Secondly, wouldn't there be a big chance that Kim Un has wasted the missile testing site and has no ability to ever use it again in the next 25 to 50 years due to radiation factors being critical and number three would be is there any means of space satellite images to prove any of this?
One of the first things I would insist on is unhindered physical close examination of the whole area of No. Korea including the mountainous regions where underground facilities can be hidden from satellite site. But not leaving out the pre-existing presence of No. Korean engineers physical being observed in Syria and probably Pakistan too. If all of this has any bearing it needs to be done before the conniving parties can hide anything and that they do so well, as recorded in past history.
What it all boils down to is I believe that the enemies of my enemies are our enemies too.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't trust Rocket Man as far as I could throw him. He's looking to snooker the world into cleaning up his plutonium mess under a continually collapsing mountain nuclear test site. So all the make nice garbage is just a grand ruse. Trump may sniff this out if he hasn't already.
This morning update is based on personal experience with Iranian students who taught me everything there was to know about the Iranian revolution and Ayatollah Khomenei a full 6 years before it happened. Some of them were hojattieh, some were twelvers, and a couple were Shah-supporting monarchists.
They told me then that Israel was a target of the revolutionaries - second only to the USA. They told me the Russians would be their allies. I told them this would fulfill Bible prophecy and end up destroying Iran.
They told me that Russian nukes would hasten the al-mahdi's arrival making WWIII a worthwile event. These same young students of the 70's are Iran's leaders today.
I don't trust the "fat kid" either. This deal just seems way to easy. The Norkos have been super secretive for decades, and they have faced crippling sanctions for much of that time. There has never been a so much as a crack in the commie facade they put on, and now, a 180 degree turnaround in a couple of weeks??? I don't buy it. There is an end game I believe.
ReplyDeleteThe interesting thing about the Islamic eschatology is how it seems like a puzzle piece that fits nicely with our Eschatology. However, it is the piece of the puzzle you don't want to hold on to. I've always wondered how people would be so easily deceived (aside from the strong delusion), but when they've been taught this for centuries, it becomes clearer. What is frightening to me is how many are totally unaware of the powder keg in Syria. I read one of the first reports on Sunday night, and the article incorrectly stated that a tactical nuke had been used. My response was....here we go. It's going to happen eventually I believe. I'm expecting it. Though it wasn't a tactical nuke, it may serve the same purpose IMO. The press conference yesterday supported that thought in my mind as well. Clearly, it seems as though we've entered a new phase of prophetic fulfillment.....maybe not a new phase, maybe better said to say the prophetic flood has just gained significant volume.

Since NK and Iran are buddies, it would seem a good time for NK to sell a few nukes to Iran before they supposedly become a nuke free zone. That would save the Iranians the effort of making them. I'm sure the U.S.A would be aware of this, plus God's word assures us of Iran being scattered.
Lance, your right, the muslims have been fed these teaching from birth. They don't know any better, try to get christians not to say easter. It will only be by the power of the Holy Spirit and much prayer that they will see the true light.

ReplyDeleteI'm more convinced each passing hour that a great many people simply have not been able to wrap their heafs around or come to grips with the magnitude of what Israel accomplished in taking a genuine motherlode of Iranian nuclear program documentation.
ReplyDeleteFrom a highly classified yet non-descript secure warehouse in Tehran, filled with heavy meyal vaults each with a uniquely coded security access system, Israeli agents then pilfered a half-ton of hard copy and digital files and simply walked out of the Iranian capital with this treasure trove, and then got it all out of Iran all the way back to Tel Aviv - and no one, NO ONE AT ALL outside of the team which performed this mind-boggling achievement knew jack diddley about it.
No one can tell me that God's guiding and protective hand was not directly involved in this unprecedented operation.
We are all in brand new territory here folks. Think about it and the implications that stare us all in the face. It is truly astounding, yet many slumber completely oblivious to it all.

ReplyDeleteIndeed, the pieces are virtually all in place, so to speak. Ezekiel 38/39 will occur after a brief respite for Israel from the battles looming now.
Psalm 83 gets all of the attention, but Isaiah 11:12-14 and Ezekiel 28:24-26 are as important if not more important due to what they say.
Asaph prophesied about 10 nations or peoples adjacent to Israel in Lebanon, Jordan and Sinai/Gaza with help from Assur. But Isaiah and Ezekiel are more comprehensive in stating ALL enemies around them, which is inclusive of ALL the forces arrayed in Syria, including the Assur element that is present.
Sean, in your last sitrep,you made a good point about putting aside preconceived notions and just looking at the text. My above statement was what I was looking to do. With the hour drawing near, all these events with be as you stated from the bible "LIKE A FLOOD".

ReplyDeleteIt categorically is NOT next. It is the last or final prophetic fulfillment prior to the start of Gabriel's 70th Week prophecy.
No one commenting here has made such a comment or espouses the teaching I referred to. Comments of that type or supporting that teaching would never be approved for publication.

ReplyDeleteAfter the time you first pointed out the discrepancy of prophetic interpretation by JD Farag to all of us, I don't waste my time or allow for deception to get close to me. It has taken many years of determined efforts on my part listening to the Holy Spirit leading me away from "wanna bee" screwed up teachers digging in the rabbit holes instead of the Word of God. I have no idea who the other one is but I do know this, there isn't any real reason for deception in this day and age.
I am digging in the passages that you suggested Isaiah and Ezekiel and it is really good food. Think I will go back and dig some more. One digging isn't enough when it comes to this era of time elements. Thank you for your very wise leading and sharing. Psalm 83 is on the main menu and I have this strange nudging that the upward movement of a mass migration is already in the "shouting" seconds.

GG5, I used to watch JD Farag faithfully since 2012, I also used to share all his prophecy updates to friends and family every week. About 2 years ago I sent notice to everyone that I can no longer support JD Farag. Perhaps Sean remembers the discussion in the comments section when it was discussed. If I recall, a few people got mad. We must be very careful with our favorite teachers, a lot of people have a tendency to give their favorite teachers a free pass.

DeleteAs stated before, there are many Jewish and Lebanese Christians, to include Arabs as well, who are fixated on Ezekiel 38/39. This is most likely because this prophecy is central to what they had heard or were taught at an earlier age about the "last days."

One would think the Holy Spirit would lead them towards correction, but one has to be completely open the such correction. You can lead a horse to water, but you can not make the horse drink.

ReplyDeleteI really like your blog name and reminds of a classmate of decades ago with the last name of Hart and I invariably called him Heart. He was one of my favorite friends and the things we could think up to get into trouble with was endless. Our poor momma and his daddy!
Anyway, I remember that and it was at that time I switched from even keeping track of him. If memory serves me correctly JD was a former muslim who converted to Christianity. The trouble with most of that process is the fact that they have had just a tad amount of exposure to what the bible teaches but under the guise of Mohammad and it is corrupted history to suit the narrative of Mohammad.
But the bible passages that Sean just posted for us all to study out are pretty deep. Taking out the who series of verses and learning the reason for them, the people it involves and why is it being narrated is a time consuming project but well worth the time and effort. Now getting back to my trying to get the job done and learn what Sean is wanting all of us to discern.

I would just like to mention that I listen JD Farag’s weekly updates along with various other sources such as this site. I try to read / study and pray for discernment by the Holy Spirit. He has stated many times that his opinions / interpretations are just that and may be wrong. He also ends each update with the ABC’s to Salvation along the Romans road. Just wanted to mention as we all eagerly look up and long for Jesus’ return.

ReplyDeleteWatching Bibi again on the sleuthing that netted Israel all of the Iranian nuclear documents and there is just so much that really has to be answered. Did our Government under Obama know anything about this and if not, why not? If they were listening to the continuous intelligence reports and they were actually reporting anything near what Bibi has shown, why in the world would Obama send Kerry, a known liar of continuous incidents, to represent the him and the USA?
But what really irritates me the most is the disregard of the amount of wasted human life creating the very essence of the al-madhi fairy tale so that they could totally destroy Syria, the Kurds, human life to bring about that fairy tale! The Persians or the Arabs, which ones became radicalized due to the devises of Lucifer. Where has the Body of Christ been all of these decades when there was or had to have been Believers who were Called to Go and didn't? If the Body of Christ (The Church) didn't go then who would have had that assignment?
My daughter almost married a Persian back in 1994 or 95 and he decidedly said that he was Persian and not an Arab. But he was hungry for God Almighty and we all thought so very highly of him. He came here just before the Shah was deposed and he was a wonderful young man. He decided to study to become a pharmacist while living in Houston, Texas and he fell in love with the scriptures that we shared with each other at Christmas time and we encouraged him to take God's word as truth and how Jesus came that all mankind was loved greater than anyone could ever fathom. He was so close to salvation when his mother called and begged him to come home before his father would die. That was the last I ever heard from him but I still pray that those sessions and scriptures we shared and delved into would still be alive in his heart and he would still be saved.
So it isn't alright that we can become so hard shelled we no longer burn for the gospel to be shared and spread so that Hell can no longer enlarge itself at the expense of God's beloved creation. What if, when we are ushered into the Presence of God's dear son, and HE asks us did you pray for Persia? Did you pray for Lebanon? Did you pray at all for anyone or anything beyond your own needs and desires? I hope that isn't going to be the case or that we, as the Body of Christ and the Church failed all of the areas we were given Royal Command over and didn't pray or go. Or for that matter, didn't even have faith to believe God's Words to us in all of the Epistles to be more than conquerors in Christ Jesus.

We can probably expect another IDF preemptive strike on Iranian missiles in Syria. This one to destroy those which were recently transferred from Hezbollah in Lebanon to replace the 100 Iranian missiles that Israel destroyed last week.

There's a huge problem with Macron's 10-nation dream. Its core purpose is limited to emergency overseas military contingencies that neither the US or NATO would be a part of. That is a non-starter.

The problems are too many with this. Way too many for prophetic significance to be given, not to mention the lack of an 11th little horn to rise up among these 10, and subdue or usurp the sovereignty of three of the 10.
My interest in this is less than zero from an eschatological point of view.

ReplyDeleteVerse 35 of the Jer. 49 passage really shouted out to me this morning and everyone of God's promises are yes and Amen (So Be It). HE SAID "I WILL break the Bow of Elam" and the rest of those few verses are worthy of sincere and seeking after the full Wisdom of ABBA FATHER! Who ever or what ever means God determines to use is beyond our intervention but HE WILL do it and the time is.
All of this time since Nov. 8, 2016 has been a witness to the silly nimcompoops that have tried to bring about the days of One World Ruler but it wasn't time and it has also, by the Grace of God, shown all of us if we are allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us in Truth and Holiness, who, what, where and when all of this will transpire. Sean, you and all that you do has been brought to us because you are a true servant of God Almighty. He lead you into areas you had no doubt were dangerous and it probably greatly vexed your patience at times. However, HE honed you, tried you, taught you and then he GRACED you to do what he had you being an apprentice in HIS SERVICE. I am not trying to glorify any one man or woman but all of that is to remind each of us that if we weren't supposed to be in God's Service at this particular time in history (Moed in Hebrew) we wouldn't be here. Why do I say that? Because I know there was NO REASON on Dec.11th, 2015 for me to have survived a very massive heart attack that caused me to become comatose in a hospital waiting room and then to survive and come out shouting God's praises.
My son was there and recorded those very statements. Couldn't keep me still and hands constantly in the air praising God and still under the effects of the anesthetic. The songs of praise that I so love were constantly on my lips and my son told me, sung to the heavens! So, trying to tell you that God is more than just a word or a thought! He is in every dimension and ALIVE beyond our understanding. To really know Him is liberating and it is the most wonderful experience ever.
The Mountains of Israel will be vindicated by God Almighty.

Israel has directed Golan and other northern communities to open all bomb shelters. This is due to an assessment that an Iranian missile attack from Syria may be imminent.

ReplyDeleteWe keep seeing that numerical value being repeated so much in the past 5 or 6 years and I am beginning to wonder if my numerology friend is correct. He is a physicist and I haven't heart anything recently but he tells me that the number 18 has a very significant value in the bible. I prefer to believe that the numbers i already have from God's word is about the limit that I can handle; like 3, 7, 12, 40 and 50. Otherwise I get it all confused and my bank balance is corrupted.

I think the IDF did a great job of making a statement to fulfill their promise to Syria and Iran. What a TEAM and I love them all. Just in case you haven't noticed, I am always for the little guy taking down and dwindling the bullies of the world.
So excited to watch prophecy unfolding right before my old eyes but at least I can electronically enlarge the images to discern the details. The real story is in the details, you know.

ReplyDeleteThe Lebanon government has arrested three men and charged them with terrorism. They are HAMAS operatives (Muslim Brotherhood) whose intent is to sow chaos in Jordan and overthow the Hashemite throne. The terrorists possessed missiles; explosives in multiple warehouses. Iran is the suspected plot supporter of the terrorist cell.

DeleteDay before yesterday the NYT reported that POTUS, depending on which subserviant globalist rag was reporting, delayed or cancelled or called off, an Iran strike. No such thing occured. For the empteenth time, what took place was Trump allowing for last ditch diplomacy to run its course.

DeleteToday HAMAS rejected the offer put forward by Israel and instead put forward its own non-starter demands for full IDF withdrawal from Gaza and the start of reconstruction efforts. To this many Israeli MKs said "open the gates of hell" upon HAMAS, to which PM Netanyahu replied to IDF command "give the order."

ReplyDeleteActually, Trump's deadline is irrelevant, it's the LORD's appointed time that is supremely important. If necessary there will be a Part II SITREP A9-25 posted the first week of May.
Due north of Israel the Russia-Ukraine war continues as always, even through a unilateral Russian halt to long-range strikes from 6 PM 19April to 6 PM 20 April.

These fighters come from South and East Asia (Nepal and former Soviet republics), the Middle East, Africa (Ghana) and even Europe and the US. All of these fighters traveled to Moscow to enlist.
