Global SITREP B7-13: Evil Hearts Speaking Lies, Nothing Essential Has Changed

24 November 2013: Look closely at the above image. It confirms something that I also just learned a couple of days ago when looking at other stage-setting images of the Geneva negotiations with Iran on its nuclear weapons program.  Have we not, from the get-go, been informed by our media that what was occurring in Geneva was the UN IAEA, represented by the 5 permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany (P5+1), negotiating with Iran? What does the backdrop signage refer to? It says these negotiations are known as the "E3/EU+3 Iran Talks." Here's another image.

This one has all of the principles, all 8 players, with all 8 flags and the same E3/EU+3 Iran Talks banner. What a charade. It reminds me of the prophecy in Daniel 11:27:

"Both these kings’ hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time."

It's not just two kings, but 7 "kings", with an eighth representing the whole of the European Union, or more precisely Britain, France, Germany, the EU (represented by the unqualified Catherine Ashton) plus the United States, Russia, China and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The effect is the same. All these kings sat at the same table and spoke lies to each other; but it is all to no avail because the end of their rule has been appointed by God.

They think they have made a covenant that will prevent war. They have done the exact opposite, and they have lied to each other and to the whole world about it. They have made a covenant with death that guarantees war. In these images you are looking at the Munich of 1939 but it's Geneva 2013. 24 November 2013, a date which lives in infamy. That's what I think; that how I assess the current situation. I also know that the State of Israel rejects this covenant absolutely and completely. Israel is not bound by its self-deluding sentences, as we shall soon see.

Text of the E3/EU+3 Iran Talks Agreement

Farsi translation of the E3/EU+3 Agreement: Iran has 6 months from 24 November 2013 in which to build and test its first nuclear weapon. On that day this purchase of more time agreement will become null and void.

The only question is: When does Israel strike all of the Iranian nuclear infrastructure not mentioned in this agreement as an act of self-defense?

Addendum: Not 24 hours have passed since the E3/EU+3 Iran Agreement was signed and it became apparent to this analyst that the agreement, as awful as it is, may well become the vehicle by which the prophecy of Jeremiah 49:34-39 will come to its fulfillment in the near future. Global SITREP B6-13: France, Israel and Saudi Arabia United in Preemption of Iranian Nukes

This evening it looks as though the coalition of nations I cited from Jeremiah's prophecy primarily consists of Israel, the GCC of the Arabian Peninsula and Pakistan.  Make no mistake, this is a nuclear-armed coalition of Sunni Muslim nations which find themselves in a strategic alliance with the State of Israel.  

Reports I received this afternoon indicate that in recent days Israeli military personnel were or still are conducting boots-on-the-ground inspections of Saudi military installations in preparation for strikes upon Iran. The source of these reports has been tied to Egyptian military officials.

In addition to this, there is another aspect to the coalition's military actions against Iran. That aspect is an active insurgency against the Ayatollah's regime currently being fought in Iran's easternmost and majority Sunni Muslim Sistan-Baluchistan province. Both Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are arming and otherwise supplying the insurgent militias from bases inside Pakistan's westernmost Balochistan province. The militia insurgency against Iran also has a component which comes out of western Afghanistan. 

It is this land component which appears primed to literally fulfill that aspect of the Jeremiah 49:34-39 prophecy, verse 37 in particular:

"For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies
And before those who seek their life.
I will bring disaster upon them,
My fierce anger,’ says the Lord;
‘And I will send the sword after them
Until I have consumed them."

I believe we will see the various aspects of this unprecedented military confrontation, both strategic and tactical, emerge ever more clearly in the days to come. It has become a regional race to bring about regime change in Iran prior to it achieving nuclear weapon capability. The Sunni-Shi'a war is now being fought on two fronts, in Lebanon and Syria in the west, and in eastern Iran itself. In addition to this we can expect an ethnic Arab uprising within western Iran, the heart of ancient Elam.

Global SITREP B6-13: France, Israel and Saudi Arabia United in Preemption of Iranian Nukes

UPDATE 21 November 2013: “They (Iran)  must not have nuclear weapons — and I promise you that they will not have nuclear weapons.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a speaking engagement in Russia this morning.

Bibi and "Gog." In this image Bibi has a pleasant look of calm assurance upon his countenance, almost amused and ready to bust out in a great, big smile of a victor-in-waiting. In stark contrast Mr. Gog doesn't mutually reciprocate Bibi's facial expression in the aftermath of their chat in the Kremlin. His look is decidedly grim, foreboding, like all those aged Soviet leaders of yesteryear used to display when confronting a nation of strength and determination as America was under President Reagan. I know this isn't a thousand words, but you get the general drift of what this image is telling me. It's all good for the good guys.

I would remind all readers that a great war is in-progress. We would all be wise to heed the words of Winston Churchill when reading various accounts in global media these days: "In wartime, truth is so precious that she should always be attended by a bodyguard of lies." In other words, exercise extreme caution before accepting anything but the Word of God as truth and fact. Fulfilled prophecy will be self-evident.

20 November 2013: The .jpg graphic below is as relevant today as it was 32 years ago when Israel launched "Operation Opera" against Saddam Hussein's nearly completed and French-made Osiris-class nuclear reactor known as "Osirak." This was the IAF's first operational use of its newly acquired F-16s from the United States. Screaming in at just 150 feet above the Saudi and Iraqi desert floor to avoid radar detection, and all the way from the Gulf of Aqaba, the IAF achieved total tactical surprise against the Iraqi defenders. The Iranian's will likely suffer the same tactical defeat; they'll never see the Israeli's coming, and quite possibly, when they're leaving after hitting and destroying multiple nuclear targets in western Iran.

Didn't hear many Saudi Arabian complaints back then; don't expect to hear them this time around either.

19 November 2013: A pair of suicide bombers attacked the Iranian Embassy is Beirut this morning killing an Iranian "cultural attache" and approximately two-dozen others, with nearly 150 wounded. Both bombs were VBIEDs, one via a motorcycle, the other a car. Iran immediately blamed Israel, but just as quickly an Al Qaeda-linked "Abdullah Azzan Brigades" terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack. An event such as this could easily be used as a "shoot first, ask questions later" casus belli for a preemptive war launched by Iran and its allies against Israel. This is something that might be of some utility to Iran during the most difficult phase of P5+1 negotiations which Iran has no intention of accepting as discussed below. Expect the unexpected.

18 November 2013: Less than 48 hours before the next IAEA P5+1 round of negotiations with Iran commences in Geneva, the Paris, France-based National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) says that members of its affiliate People’s Mujahideen Organisation of Iran (PMOI) group inside Iran had obtained reliable information about a previously undisclosed and recently completed underground nuclear site. This afternoon NCRI official Mehdi Abrichamtchi spoke to media saying, "According to specific information obtained by the Iranian resistance, the clerical regime is establishing or completing parallel secret and undeclared sites for its nuclear project."  The now exposed nuclear site is a 600-meter long tunnel complex beneath the mountains in Esfahan Province, six miles from the town of Mobarekeh. This site is the location of Iran's Mobarekeh Steel Company and within the Haft-e Tir military industrial complex, the largest industrial complex in Iran. NCRI said that it has passed this information to the IAEA. In 2009 the NCRI exposed the Fordow nuclear weapons complex near Qom to western intelligence agencies, as well as much of the other formerly covert Iranian nuclear weapons program sites since 2006 according to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the UK.

17 November 2013: Once again word is leeching out via Britain's premier media that the State of Israel is covertly working with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in coordinating the tactical planning for a strike to render moot the object of the P5+1 negotiations in Geneva this coming week. According to a just published article by the Times of Israel which cites Britain's The Sunday Times as the originating source (Two old foes unite against Tehran), Jerusalem and Riyadh have reached an agreement whereby Saudi Arabia will open their airspace and provide other tactical support in the current plan to preemptively kill all Iranian nuclear weapons ambition for the foreseeable future.

The Sunday Times reports that both Jerusalem and Riyadh clearly reject the American assurances coming from President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry and are convinced that they "amount to appeasement and will do little to slow its development of a nuclear warhead." An anonymous diplomatic source has told the Sunday Times, "The Saudis are furious and are willing to give Israel all the help it needs." So, the news today is that the French, Israeli and Saudi governments (as well as the rest of the at-risk GCC governments) have determined to unite behind the execution of a military option to eliminate the threat posed by an apocalyptically-guided Iran in possession of nuclear weapons. They have determined to preempt both a ridiculously "bad deal" and a nuclear-armed Iran. 

Israel and the Saudi's are defending their existence, and France is defending it's stake in the joint European Union and Sunni Arab nations "Union for the Mediterranean" (UfM). UfM member states Lebanon and Syria are both League of Nations mandate territories mandated to French control following World War I. As a note for those who are unaware, the UfM was created in Paris, France 13 July 2008 based upon the Paris and Marseilles Declarations and the Statues adopted on 3 March 2010. The UfM membership is comprised of the EU member nations, the League of Arab States, Israel, Palestine and Turkey. The Bible prophecy implications of the UfM relative to the texts of Daniel, Ezekiel and The Revelation of Jesus Christ are glaringly apparent.

Comparison: Roman Empire and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM)

Today's news comes with the arrival this morning in Israel of French President Francois Hollande along with French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, Israel's lone ally sitting at the P5+1 negotiation table in Geneva, Switzerland, for further consultations with Israeli PM Bibi Netanyahu. On Wednesday, 20 November, PM Netanyahu flies north fully buttressed with his new (and also nuclear-armed allies) to meet in Moscow, Russia with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This will be a different Benjamin Netanyahu than Vladimir Putin has met previously, even without his former American ally.

The direct effects this newly emergent alliance will have on European, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions, and thus Bible prophecy, are currently unmeasurable but they clearly will also be immense. This SITREP  will be revisited for frequent updates in the coming days as events transpire. Stay tuned.

Late Development 17 November:  After meeting for several hours with PM Netanyahu, President Hollande of France (left in the image above) set the gauntlet Iran will have have to run if it is to emerge with an interim agreement with the P5+1 this coming Wednesday.  On the surface Hollande's gauntlet would appear to be a four-point set of demands that the Ayatollah's nuclear emissary will have to reject, possibly even before the negotiating session commences. The publicly announced conditions are:

1. The immediate assumption of international control over all Iranian nuclear installations.
2. The immediate suspension of all processing of  Uranium Hexaflouride (UF6) to 20% U-235.
3. The immediate reduction of Iranian stocks of Uranium Hexaflouride.
4. The immediate halt of construction at the IR-40 heavy water plant at Arak.

These conditions are totally consistent with achieving the Israeli, Saudi and French position that Iran relinquish its dream of possessing a nuclear weapons capability forever. It would appear that an expected Iranian rejection of these conditions will mean war.

OPERATION GIBOR: IRAN STRIKE SCENARIO SIMULATION

UPDATED 17 November 2013: This April 2009 report is once again relevant given the multiple reports of a potential Israel strike against Iranian nuclear sites the past several weeks. This potential for the fictional "Operation Gibor" scenario is as real in 2013-2014 as it was when created four years ago. It is perhaps even more relevant with respect to Bible eschatology and the prophecy of Jeremiah 49:34-39. 

21 April 2009: The following vignette (Part I) was crafted by my friend and associate Aharon Etengoff. Aharon is a former member of the IDF. This work originated with Aharon's former website known as WeaponSurvey.com.

When I read "Operation Gibor" for the first time I immediately recognized it as a near identical expression of how my own "minds eye" has envisioned a probable precursor event of the final Arab-Israeli war. This near-future war was predicted to occur by the Seer-Psalmist Asaph (Psalm 83) circa 3,000 years ago during the era of David's and Solomon's kingdom of Israel, and which I also suspect will eschatologically mesh with the prophetic events described by Jeremiah 49:34-39 and Isaiah 17, the latter resulting in the total and permanent destruction of Damascus, Syria. I strongly believe this vignette created by Aharon has a fairly high potential of becoming manifest in "tomorrow's" headlines and detailed after-action reports (AAR) originating with the IDF Public Affairs Office (PAO). The tactics that will be used in the real world event will immediately become required reading by the senior staff and war colleges of military forces around the world.

Iran Strike: Scenario Simulation

**The following entry was written for educational purposes only. These events are FICTIONAL; they have NOT occurred.** 

Day 1, Operation Gibor:

05:30 Iranian Nuclear Program Targeted

The IDF (Israel Defense Forces), in accordance with a decision reached by the political echelon, has successfully targeted and destroyed dozens of Iranian nuclear facilities. The strike was executed by the (IAF) Israel Air Force, which deployed various combat aircraft to accomplish this important mission. A limited number of missiles were also launched at various sites engaged in the research and production of nuclear weapons.

President Ahmadinejad, who infamously referred to Israel as "disgraceful stain [on] the Islamic world" that needed to be "wiped from the pages of history" ultimately bears responsibility for the above-mentioned strike.

The IDF, which was formed to ensure the existence of the Jewish state, will do its utmost to protect the citizens of Israel from hostile entities and threats of any kind. The security establishment would like to take this opportunity to publicly warn against any retaliatory action, whether from Iran or any other country in the region.

06:30 NNEMP Activated Over Iranian Cities

At 05:30, the IDF announced the successful conclusion of Operation Gibor and warned the Islamic Republic of Iran against any retaliatory action. However, at 05:45, military intelligence (AMAN) observed heightened activity around various launch sites and military bases that indicated an imminent counter-strike. In addition, both the IRGC (Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution) and regular Iranian military units began an emergency recall of reserve soldiers. Meanwhile, the Iranian Navy deployed in a formation designed to blockade the Strait of Hormuz.

The State of Israel conveyed several messages to the Iranian leadership via various diplomatic channels emphasizing that any retaliatory action would be met with force. These messages were ignored. At 06:07, the IAF activated a number of non-nuclear electromagnetic pulse (NNEMP) over major Iranian cities and strategic military sites to thwart further hostile action.

Simultaneously, Israeli naval vessels located in the Strait of Hormuz eliminated a number of Iranian warships that had moved to blockade the strategically vital shipping lane.

The IDF, which was formed to ensure the existence of the Jewish state, would like to warn once again that it will not tolerate any retaliatory action, whether from Iran or any other country in the region.

07:45 Iranian Proxies Retaliate

At 06:30, the IDF confirmed it had targeted major Iranian cities and military installations with non-nuclear electromagnetic pulse (NNEMP) to thwart a retaliatory strike by the Islamic Republic. At 06:45, a barrage of rockets were fired by Hizballah artillery crews into northern and central Israel. At 06:46, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists launched at least 200 projectiles at southern and central Israel.

At 07:05, the IAF eliminated a number of Hizballah targets in southern Lebanon and Beirut. The IAF also destroyed numerous military installations and killed at least 75 operatives in the Gaza Strip.

The IDF now regards 'Gibor' as a rolling operation to eliminate terrorist infrastructure that threatens the very existence of this State.

Although the IDF chooses not to comment on rumors relating to unusual activity along the northern border, it would like to again emphasize that any hostile action will be met with appropriate force.

08:45 IDF Deploys in Gaza and Southern Lebanon

Over 360 Israelis have been killed and 2,000 injured in ongoing Hizballah and Hamas missile strikes. IDF infantry, armor and infantry forces have entered southern Lebanon in an effort to halt the brutal offensive.

In addition, IDF forces have split the Gaza Strip into three with the intention of systematically destroying terrorist infrastructure established by various terrorist organizations, including Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Global Jihad (Al Qaeda).

Gibor, which has evolved into a rolling operation, will require the participation of thousands of reserve soldiers. An emergency call-up order has just been approved by the political echelon.

10:30 Syria Launches Scud Missiles, IAF Responds

At 09:30, the IDF's Arrow batteries successfully intercepted at least a dozen Scud missiles launched by the Syrian Arab Republic. Nevertheless, two projectiles impacted in Haifa, killing 50 and wounding 120 others.

The IAF has responded by bombing the Syrian presidential palace and other strategic military targets, including nuclear, biological and chemical weapons facilities. The IDF estimates it has destroyed most of Syria's 100-200 Scud missiles, including those that were fitted with V-agent warheads, along with artillery shells loaded with Sarin and mustard agents.

In addition, the IAF has achieved aerial superiority over the Syrian air force after eliminating the majority of its aircraft and airfields inoperable.

IDF forces stationed on the Golan Heights remain poised to enter Syrian territory should such an order be given by the political and security echelons. 

Part II, Operation Gibor, Day 1

12:30 Missiles Strike Tel Aviv Residential Tower and Dimona

Two advanced missiles fired from the Gaza Strip have struck a residential tower in Tel Aviv. Although the Homefront Command had advised residents to seek shelter in protected spaces until further notice, an unspecified number of individuals chose to ignore the order and remained in the structure.

The missiles severely damaged the tower. At least 75 people were killed in the attack. An additional 50 are reported missing.

Terrorists in the Gaza Strip also launched three missiles at Dimona. While various strategic facilities remained unscathed, the projectiles caused severe damage to civilian infrastructure and killed 12. At least 34 others were wounded by shrapnel, debris and glass shards.

The IDF can confirm that Egyptian security officials have sealed off their side of Rafah. Engineers are currently demolishing dozens of structures that concealed tunnels used by Hamas to smuggle in vast quantities of weapons, explosives and missiles.

As was noted previously, large numbers of IDF forces are currently operating in various Gaza Strip neighborhoods in an effort to eliminate the terrorist infrastructure of various groups, including Hamas, Hizballah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Al Qaeda.

Residents of Israel have been instructed to remain in protected spaces until further notice.

13:30 Israeli-Arab Riots Reported

Despite orders to remain in protected spaces, Israeli-Arabs are currently rioting in a number of cities and neighborhoods, including Lod, Ramle, Jaffa, Haifa and Umm al-Fahm. Border police forces have fired tear gas and stun grenades in an effort to disperse the crowds without success. At least 15 security officials have been moderately injured in the worsening clashes.

An anonymous police official told Israel 24-7 that the use of live ammunition may soon be authorized to protect the lives of police officers.

13:45 Bi'lin Protestors Killed

Five protesters are shot dead after hurling rocks and firing improvised pistols at Israeli Border Police forces near the village of Bi'lin in the West Bank. Participants in the violent protests included Israeli and international anarchists, along with representatives of various NGOs.

14:08 Use of Live Ammunition Authorized The use of live ammunition against protesters in various Israeli-Arab neighborhoods has reportedly been authorized to quell violent riots that have already caused over NIS 100 million in damage. At least 10 Border Police officers have been killed in ongoing clashes in Jaffa and Haifa.

15:23 1,600 Missiles Fired at Israeli Targets

An anonymous security official tells Israel 24-7 that Hamas and Hizballah have fired over 1,600 missiles at Israel since the start of Operation Gibor.

"The firing can be expected to gradually taper off," explained the official. "The IAF is virtually swarming over Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. Unfortunately, at least 500 Israelis have died thus far. The IDF is exerting every effort to take control of the firing sites and hostile territory as soon as possible."

16:03 Riots Quelled

Violent riots in a number of Arab cities and neighborhoods, including Jaffa, Haifa, Lod, Ramle, and East Jerusalem have been quelled after officials authorized the use of live ammunition. 45 policemen were killed in clashes that include gunfire, the hurling of grenades and even the firing of RPGs. An additional 200 were wounded.

75 Israeli-Arabs were reportedly killed. The Arab media and NGOs are referring to the riots as "The Massacre of the Martyrs."

17:30 Missile Attacks Subside

Missile attacks by Hamas (Gaza Strip) and Hizballah (Lebanon) have subsided. The IAF has carried out hundreds of bombing sorties over Lebanon and Gaza. In addition, the IDF is continuing to fire artillery batteries along the Gaza Strip and Lebanese borders.

Arabic media reports that over 1,500 Palestinians have died in the Gaza Strip since the start of Operation Gibor. At least 1,200 people have been killed in Lebanon.

17:40 Egyptian Coup Attempt

The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood is currently attempting to topple the regime of Hosni Mubarak.

Uncomfirmed reports indicate that the Egyptian military has been infiltrated by Brotherhood elements. Pitched battles between various units are being fought on the streets of major Egyptian cities, including Cairo and Alexandria. President Mubarak and a small entourage have moved to a secure location.

Note: Egyptian military expenditure has risen significantly over the past decade. Currently, the Egyptian Air Force includes 240 US-manufactured F-16's along with Apache helicopters. Cairo also maintains Abrams tanks and frigates as well as missiles boats from Holland, Spain and the United States.

Since 1996, three years after the Oslo Accords were signed with the Palestinian Authority, the majority of general military exercises undertaken by the Egyptian army have simulated war against Israel. Indeed, the 1996 Badar Exercises involved "a little country northeast of Egypt."

In addition, indoctrination of new Egyptian officers focuses on preparation for a possible future war against Israel.

Egyptian politicians have also threatened Israel with a nuclear strike. In July 2006, MP Ragab Hmeda pronounced that Israel was "trying to bring the entire world to its knees," and would be deterred only by "nuclear power." In February 2007, MP Mohammed el-Katatny declared that nothing would "work with Israel except for a nuclear bomb that wipes it out of existence."

18:00 Sunni-Shi'a Clashes Reported

Clashes between Sunni and Shi'a Muslims have been reported across the Middle East and Persian Gulf. Security forces are currently attempting to restore order in a number of countries, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Bahrain.

Although Arab governments were quick to publicly condemn Israel's strike against Iran's nuclear facilities, a number of "anonymous" officials have expressed their relief that the "Shi'a threat" had been removed.

18:03 Riots Across West Bank

The IDF, in coordination with the Palestinian Authority (PA), has imposed a closure across the West Bank as violent clashed erupt between various armed factions.

• 10 Palestinian Authority policemen are killed when Hamas operatives attack a PA police station in Nablus with RPGs and grenades.
• 5 Hamas members are killed by PA reprisal raids in the city.
• Three separate drive-by shootings in Jericho kill a PA minister, four policemen and six children. Hamas has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
• Palestinian Islamic Jihad operatives detonate a car bomb on a crowded Ramallah street, killing 30 and wounding 50 others.
• IDF forces are currently operating to secure an unspecified number of Israeli communities in the West Bank. Exchanges of fire have been reported in Beit Aryeh, Ofrah, Tapuah, Shilo, Eli, Ariel, Elkanah, Efrat, Bat Ayin, Yitzhar, Beit El, Hebron (sector) and various areas of Gush Etzion.
• Israeli communities inside the so-called "green line" have also come under missile fire (originating from the West Bank), including Bat Hefer, Kfar Sabba, Rannana and Petah Tikva.
• Unconfirmed reports indicate that a number of projectiles may have impacted inside the perimeter of Ben Gurion airport.
• The airport is currently re-routing all air traffic to Eilat. Outgoing flights have been delayed.

18:30 Hashemite Royal Family Arrives in EilatThe Hashemite royal family, accompanied by aides and officials, has arrived in Eilat for "consultations with the Israeli government." Unconfirmed reports indicate that violent protests have swept through Jordan. The Jordanian army, apparently aided by Israeli "advisors," is working to restore order, starting with Amman.

18:40 Tel Aviv "Peace" VigilRepresentatives and supporters of the Israeli "peace camp" are demonstrating against Operation Gibor in Tel Aviv's Rabin Square.

"The IDF needs to show restraint," said one protestor draped in Palestinian and Israeli flags. "It cannot trample on the rights of Jews, Arabs and Christians all over the world."

Hundreds of counter-protestors have gathered to oppose the "peace demonstration" and support Operation Gibor.

19:04 Simultaneous Bus Bombings ReportedTerrorists have apparently detonated bombs inside and in close proximity to at least four buses in the following cities:

• Jerusalem (near Ben Yehudah street)
• Petah Tikvah (Jabotinsky street)
• Tel Aviv (near the "Kiryah")
• Ramat Gan (diamond district)

Global SITREP B4-13: Target Iran

"Gog" and Bibi are scheduled to meet face-to-face on Wednesday, 20 NOV 13 in Moscow, Russia.

Update 7 November 2013: Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, whom I like to refer to as "Gog," and Israeli PM Bibi Netanyahu are scheduled to have a face-to-face chat 13 days from now. Even though neither obviously is American nor an observant of our Thanksgiving national holiday, they will undoubtedly be talking "turkey" next week as two competent national leaders should talk "turkey" when the stakes are so high for regional and world peace.

One of the items that will undoubtedly be on their plate of fare is the as yet not officially acknowledged Iranian "genie out of the bottle" capability to construct one or more nuclear weapons by Christmas Day 2013. The former IAEA Deputy Director Ollie Heinonen says they could do this within a month at an accelerated pace, and former Israeli military intelligence chief Amos Yadlin now says the Iranians can do it in 3 months time at their leisure. To every one's best knowledge there is no intelligence that Iran has yet begun to construct these weapons and that is a huge but apparently acceptable risk to take at this juncture. Yet, there is no guarantee that Israel will sit idly by and allow such a conceivable construction to occur. This is likely the bottom line that Bibi Netanyahu will convey to his Russian counterpart because Bibi knows Vladimir cannot offer him any guarantees for what the Ayatollah will or will not do, his nuclear fatwa notwithstanding.

Assessment: The coming days will see continuing increased pressure until some aspect of this entire saga finally gives way to a resolution, one way or another.

3 November 2013: New information coming out of Iran is strongly suggesting that a very suspicious and fortuitous explosion occurred last week deep inside the Arak IR-40 plutonium reactor building as it was being prepped for a final test prior to going online. Apparently the damage inflicted by the blast was of sufficient power to prevent the fueling and testing of the reactor core. No matter the source of the explosion was, it is welcome news and buys a small additional amount of time for Israeli decision  makers (PM Netanyahu and his Cabinet) as a critical P5+1 negotiation session with Iran reconvenes this week in Geneva. 

1 November 2013: From DEBKAfile comes word that the lions share of the 3 billion New Israeli Shekel IDF funding cuts from last spring have been restored as of last evening. This is no 'trick or treat;' it is very bad news for the Ayatollah who might be in poor health at the present time.

IDF wins battle for supplemental budget

The cabinet Thursday approved an extra NIS2.7 billion for the defense budget, replacing most of the amount slashed in the across-the-board cutbacks of the state budget last May. The high IDF command said funding was needed to speed up preparations for a military strike on Iran’s nuclear program.

30 October 2013: The bottom line of the Iranian sprint to nuclear weapons capability, and thus the initiation of Israel's final count-down clock to prevent this from happening, boils down to this: with its existing stock of enriched to 20% Uranium-235 Iran could have enough weapons grade uranium (WGU) for its first indigenous manufactured nuclear weapon by Friday, 8 November 2013, and just over a half-dozen nuclear weapons before Christmas 2013.  On Monday, 28 October, PM Bibi Netanyahu placed a call to President Barack Obama to make sure he understood this from the Israeli perspective.

Given these subject matter expert facts on the state of the Iranian nuclear weapons program, one can almost hear the whine of Israel's F-16I Sufa (Storm) and F-15I Ra'am (Thunder) Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-229 afterburning turbofan engines coming up to full take-off power - the mission they will have to fly is that close at hand.

The primary targets they will strike, most likely following a series of non-nuclear electromagnetic pulse (NNEMP) weapons being deployed across the breadth of the country, will be the Natanz and Qom (Fordo) enrichment facilities, the Arak heavy water plutonium producing reactor (IR40) located  190 miles southwest of Tehran, and all known storage sites of uranium and uranium hexafloride. In particular, there is also some urgency in that the Arak heavy water reactor must be struck prior to the insertion of fuel rods into the reactor vessel that was fully installed last June. Left untouched the Arak IR40 reactor will produce between 22 and 26 pounds of plutonium during 2014.

So as no one might be surprised by the occurrence of Israel's pre-emptive strikes in Iran, they could conceivably occur as soon as this weekend when optimal conditions will present themselves.

Readers of Eschatology Today should carefully note that Israel has been threatening a preemptive strike against Iran for the past five (5) years. Some astute Middle East observers have noted this fact and and cite the repetitiveness of Israel's warnings as amounting to "crying wolf" to loudly and too frequently to be assessed as a valid threat, perhaps especially by the Iranians themselves. 

I view this recent history in a different light. Israel has launched a series of at least five (5) devastating pre-emptive strikes in neighboring Syria between January and October of this year against what it considers to be 'game changing' transfers of war materiel between Syria and Hezbollah of Lebanon. I assess these strikes in WMD-armed Syria serve as clear and present barks prior to the big bite that will occur upon Iran.

I also assess that Israel is keenly aware of the extremely negative repercussions that occurred in the immediate aftermath of U.S. President Barack Obama's very recent abject failure to live up to his bellicose and daily repeated threats to pre-emptively and punitively strike Syrian military targets over the false allegation of Bashar al-Assad's use of chemical weapons against rebel forces on the outskirts of Damascus. No nation on this earth reacted more negatively and more kinetically to this "crying wolf" of an American President than did the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is a lesson Israel has learned in very recent weeks which buttresses the lessons it learned through Prime Minister Golda Meir's failure to act pre-emptively prior to the Yom Kippur War of 1973, a war that nearly ended in a military if not potential existential disaster for Israel.

Israel cannot and will not bear similar types of negative repercussions through a failure to prevent the Islamic Republic of Iran from producing its own nuclear arsenal. This is the lesson I believe both historical, recent and current events are attempting to teach us. Never again underestimate Israel's ability to act when faced with a danger such as is staring Israel, the greater Middle East and the world in the face right now.
