My understanding or misunderstanding is that today Israel wants to build their temple mostly for political reasons, but after the coming Russian/Islamic invasion, at that time they'll want to rebuild the temple for spiritual reason. That said, I have no questions to the fact that it will be rebuilt in this generation. To me that's not even in question

ReplyDeleteIt is my understanding that The Temple Institute, the driving force behind ongoing efforts and plans to build the third Temple on Mount Moriah, has a Statement of Principles. In reading that statement I have found that it is absent of any human political considerations.
"The Temple Institute is dedicated to all aspects of the Divine commandment for Israel to build a house for G-d's presence, the Holy Temple, on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem. The range of the Institute's involvement with this concept includes education, research, activism, and actual preparation. Our goal is firstly, to restore Temple consciousness and reactivate these "forgotten" commandments. We hope that by doing our part, we can participate in the process that will lead to the Holy Temple becoming a reality once more.
