The Little Horn |
27 December 2017: Appropriately SITREP E7-16 will be the last one for the year 2016 AD. As can be seen by the image, this is about the prophecy found in Daniel 7:7-8. This is the fourth beast, different from the three beasts which had appeared before it in Daniel's night visions (dreams). At the initial and very first appearance of this fourth beast in Daniel's vision - it has 10 horns. The horns represent 10 nations. These ten nations are the heir nations of the ancient Roman Empire.
The ancient Roman Empire had taken the place of the beast of the Macedonian-Greek Empire of Alexander the Great and his four Diadochi (generals), represented by a four-winged and four-headed leopard; which had taken the place of the beast of the Persian Empire, represented by a bear, raised up on one side with three ribs in its mouth; which had taken the place of the beast of the Babylonian Empire, represented by a lion with the wings of an eagle, which were torn off and it was made to stand like a man and given the heart of a man (Daniel 7:1-6).
The fourth beast that appears with the ten horns is the final world empire of the 'last days'. it will exist as such when the little horn, the Antichrist, rises among these ten nations. One of the very first things this little horn does as he rises is tear out three of the ten horns by their roots. The Antichrist takes these three horns, these nations, and makes them his own. The remaining seven horns follow after him and pledge themselves to him. This is the prophetic vision of the rising of the final world empire; this is the near future of the West, of Europe and the Western Hemisphere.
This appears quite likely according to the common interpretation of Ezekiel 38:13 which speaks to a mixture, or alliance of nations of the Arabian Peninsula with the major Western mercantile trading nations of Europe and its former colonies (young lions thereof). NATO in other words.
Never before in history have the Arabian nations been so intermingled with the merchants of Tarshish and their former colonies which are now independent nations. This has become the fact-of-the-matter due to the events and continuous flood of wars of the past twenty-five years, from the military coalition of the first Gulf War against the land of ancient Babylon (Iraq), through the second Gulf War, and to the current war in that ancient land and in Syria and the resultant mass exodus into the West. The populations of the lands of the ancient Roman Empire are being intermingled in these 'last days' as they've not been at any point in previous history. The inevitable conflict of these two civilizations is unavoidably attendant, and it will be resolved prior to the 70th Week.
The current fact as we enter the year 2017 AD and 5777-78 on the Hebrew calendar, is this: the God-breathed Biblical prophecy of several major prophets are now bubbling in a virtual boil prior to a literal flood of sequential and or concurrent fulfillment's. And we stand on the threshold of the literal physical manifestation and fulfillment of Daniel 7:7-8 before our eyes.
And while we know not which three horns or nations Antichrist will up-root from the among the ten to take as his own, yet as assuredly as the sun rises tomorrow we can also watch for this to happen in the coming months, possibly as an adjunct or final resolution to the ongoing conflict between the Islamic and pseudo-Judeo-Christian West.
Marana'tha!
Thank you Sean for the prophecy view in fulfillment. I pray all the time, without ceasing... Not many Bible scholars have your view or you Holy Spirit within them.

Kenny,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words.
I was sound asleep last night in preparation to return to work this morning after a four-day long and blessed Christmas holyday with my immediate family.
At about 2 AM I was awakened, halfway in a semi dream-state but knowing fully that I must immediately go to my study to write and post "The Little Horn" SITREP without delay. This is exactly what I did until 4:30 AM.
Yes Sean. I occasionally get those epiphany wake up's, some at night and sometimes
ReplyDeletewhile I'm awake. Some wake up calls come with a chill on the back of my head
that makes what hair I have left stand up or seems to. God Bless All who read here.
I'm sure the catching up of the church is coming.
Apologies that this is slightly off topic, but it's 4:30 AM (do I sense a trend? :-) and this came to me from the Word of God in regards to what the Obama admin is trying to do but will fail to accomplish:
ReplyDeleteWoe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter.
21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
and clever in their own sight.
22 Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine
and champions at mixing drinks,
23 who acquit the guilty for a bribe,
but deny justice to the innocent.
24 Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw
and as dry grass sinks down in the flames,
so their roots will decay
and their flowers blow away like dust;
for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty
and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel.
Sean,
ReplyDelete“And while we know not which three horns or nations Antichrist will up-root from the among the ten to take as his own, yet as assuredly as the sun rises tomorrow we can also watch for this to happen in the coming months, possibly as an adjunct or final resolution to the ongoing conflict between the Islamic and pseudo-Judeo-Christian West.”
Did you mean by that that the AC’s emergence and appearance could happen in the coming months (in the next year or in the next 2 years), perhaps pretty soon? Or did I misunderstand something?
Nora,
ReplyDeleteYou did not misunderstand at all. In fact, you understood the meaning of this as it intended it to be understood.
Traditionally the vast majority of eschatologists have held to the view that the Antichrist will be revealed by his confirming a covenant among many; I used to be among them, at least until this text for Daniel 7:7-8 was presented to me in a way by the Lord that I had not noticed previously in this way before.
Daniel 7:7 is about the beast empire, the ten horns specifically.
Daniel 7:8 is about the rise of the little horn, the Antichrist.
It says in the text of verse 8 that in this little horn's initial rise among the ten that three horns (i.e. three of the ten kingdoms within the beast empire) will uprooted as he rises. It doesn't say he will uproot them, just that they will be uprooted (completely overthrown) before him and his powerful oratory.
Seems to me this is the most forward advanced way to identify Antichrist.
And, yes, I would expect to see this as Brexit, Trump's arrival and the next upheaval within the EU (Italy, France, Germany?? Who knows??) that the ten will become identifiable, and so will the little horn that pops up among them.
Wow....that has me sitting up & taking notice (more than usual). We are closer today than when we first believed. 2017 promises to be eventful, and I'm not so sure 2016 is quite finished either.

Hi Sean, I'm wondering about whether you think there is a relationship (if any) between the timing of the appearance of the antichrist on the world stage and the Harpazo. Not that the specific timing of the Harpazo can be predicted, obviously it can't, but in general terms. That is something I have been thinking about for some time.
ReplyDeleteSean,
ReplyDeleteThis is a very interesting point of view! Thank you for explaining it in more detail! To be honest, all I wish is for prophetic events to speed up even more and I wish, truly wish for the rapture to happen next year or within the next two years at least.
Very interesting thoughts but a question arose while reading your new post.
ReplyDeleteI have it in my understanding that Jesus' bride will be raptured before the
identity of the antichrist is revealed, correct? Are you saying the bride
will have a good idea who the antichrist is before we are called up?
Sean, a few thoughts on the passage in 2 Thessalonians 2.
ReplyDelete1) some scholars contend that the apostasy mentioned should be departure, and is a reference to the rapture. Personally, I disagree with that interpretation.
2)it says that the man of sin will be revealed prior to the day of Christ. It doesn't say the tribulation will occur, or the confirming of the covenant, it simply says he'll be revealed. Could it be that Paul is saying that the body of Christ will be able to discern who the man of sin is just prior to the harpazo?
3) it is assumed that the restrainer is the church, but could the restrainer simply be God's timetable? It says he'll be revealed in his (man of sin's) time.
These are just some thoughts I had, perhaps the Lord will lead you to post a more detailed study and post it on this blog I wouldn't mind seeing that I think it would be very helpful for us
I have not personally noticed a reference in the scriptures to any evangelism during the tribulation period except for Jewish believers (maybe it's there and I missed it, always a possibility). The bible also describes an uncountable number of saints who are martyred during that time, but also notes that God is going to supernaturally keep the Jewish evangelists alive although they will suffer terrible persecution so they can carry out their mission.
ReplyDeleteI am just throwing this out there to see if anyone else can correct or add to this train of thought - might it be a situation where the gentile and Jewish believers are Harpazoed out of here and in that process the blinders fall off the eyes of the remaining Jews (who as we know have a presence in all nations, in addition to Israel)? In Romans, Paul does say that blindness has come upon a part of Israel until the fullness of the gentiles that are going to be saved pre-Tribulation have been reached, and then all of Israel will be saved. Those Jewish evangelists and the gentiles with whom they share the Gospel of the Kingdom would be witnesses to the delusion and the lie, if we are no longer on the earth.
Expanding this comment for the obvious reasons.
ReplyDeleteGenerally speaking, this is not so much for us as it is, at the minimum in my prayers, for the soon-to-be saints of the 70th Week. They'll require tremendous assistance, no?
I assume through faith the Lord will protect this information for at least for first 42 weeks of the 70th Week. It's not always about us, but our brethren of next year and the year after that and so on. My labors are for us, but also for them.
That said, II Thessalonians 2 is pretty specific Scripture, and it poses issues that require more study and a word of interpretation from the Holy Spirit.
For example, here's rather simple set of related questions.
How could there be a great apostasy if the bride of Christ has been taken prior to it? Wouldn't there nothing but apostates or unbelievers on the earth at that time? In the aftermath of the Harpazo will those will realize it has taken place (bridesmaids without oil for their lamps) suddenly reject God in favor of Lucifer?
Since I've been through these questions in detail over a long period of time, I would lean towards a great apostasy occurring while the bride of Christ is present on this earth, but you can make up your own mind on the matter.
More prayer and study.
Sean,
ReplyDeleteIt is incredible to witness the train wreck that is the last weeks and days of Obama and Kerry in power.
Not long ago the left was trying repeatedly to convince us that Trump was "anti-semitic" (along with every other -ic and -ist they could find in the dictionary).
Now they turn their full wrath on Israel in a way none of us have witnessed in our lifetimes! I fear for the events that will transpire over the next 22 days.
Sean, I would just like to thank you again for your hard work in maintaining this blog. These are enormous issues we are dealing with, and our intense level of interest is no doubt due to the lateness of the hour that we can all sense.
ReplyDeleteHi Mark, I just wanted to comment that I think what we are seeing is the buildup and early skirmishes of the war that is breaking out in the invisible world, which will lead to Satan no longer having access to heaven and being cast down to earth, as noted in Revelation 12. It is probably not a coincidence that the chapter that deals with that war begins with the details of the woman with the crown of 12 stars on her head, which is symbolic of Israel. I never noticed it before, but that passage also mentions that the moon is at her feet. I wonder if that might be reference to Islam.
ReplyDeleteMiriam,
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of enormous issues... I have another post for a little later today that's not a SITREP nor a Breaking News Alert but will certainly raise eyebrows to say the least.
Miriam,
ReplyDeleteThere's some issue with the interpretation cited for Revelation 12:5.
The issue is the un-sourced interpretation that verse is necessarily related to the warning of Revelation 22:18-19.
Without adding anything to the verse, this blog will abide with Jesus alone being the subject of Revelation 12:5.
Just because a high-profile prophecy teacher teaches a certain interpretation does not necessarily mean that his (or her) interpretation is correct.
ReplyDeleteThere are several high-profile prophecy teachers of this class who also teach that Antichrist will be a Muslim, the Shi'a al-Mahdi or even Gog of Magog.
I reject their teachings as uninspired by the Holy Spirit.
The great apostasy has been going on for a long while in my opinion; it includes the seeker friendly churches for example and the current pope’s attitudes and actions (for bringing all religions together to name one). Also, I’ve just read an article yesterday about the Mary-apparitions around the world, there has been many of them from the start of the 1980s.
ReplyDeleteOn the topic of the man of sin/antichrist.
ReplyDeleteI was reading the prophecy God gave to Adam, Eve and the serpent.
Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”
We know the seed of the woman was supernatural (virgin birth) Jesus.
Also it says the serpents seed, I am assuming supernatural, producing the antichrist. Which would make sense how he is of fierce countenance and understands dark sentences. Daniel 8:23-25
Because of this, most saints after the rapture who believe, because of the rapture, are not kept as we are and are responsible to trust God by His word, there is no grace mentioned in the end of the age.
Nora,
ReplyDeleteThank you for hitting the nail on the head that I placed with my simple questions posed above! Very nice!
Thank you Sean!
