Special SITREP A10-23: Israel Military SITREP

Image: Ariel Hermoni, Israel Ministry of Defense

UPDATE 5 April 2023: Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff (CoS) General Herzi HaLevi has finally spoken openly about Israel's capability to launch a campaign of "overwhelming" strikes against Iran's nuclear weapons and delivery systems programs without the involvement of American forces. CoS HaLevi stated that Israel is fully prepared to execute such a campaign at this time. Anyone who thinks that an Israeli military move against Iran's nukes and missile delivery systems would be a "one and done" type of operation had better think again. Such military action will be an extended campaign in every sense of the word.

Notwithstanding the U.S. Biden Administration's open hostility to Israel's duly elected Likud-Religious Zionist coalition government, HaLevi acknowledged that having the U.S. military on Israel's side would be beneficial, it is not a necessity. Both nations are opposed to the apocalypse-minded Twelver's nuclear weapons and missile systems, and a U.S. Biden Administration failure to act preemptively would make the botched Afghanistan and JCPOA revival pale to virtual insignificance. So, Israel acting unilaterally following a promised notification to US CENTCOM of its intent to launch, may actually force the U.S. to commit to joint action.

CoS HaLevi also made clear that Israel's civil situation, as well as continuous gun and knife attacks against IDF soldiers and civilians in Judea and Samaria, both in concert with Iran's unrelenting nuclear enrichment activities, makes an Israeli preemptive campaign more rather than less likely in the coming days. The confrontation between flash-bang grenade tossing police forces and Islamic radicals holes up inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque yesterday quickly escalated into a total of 18 HAMAS rockets being launched into southern Israel in at least three salvos. No deaths or serious damage resulted from the rocket fire. The IAF and Israeli tanks immediately responded with punishing strikes against terrorist targets within Gaza and border observation towers.

Israel's Security Cabinet may have just convened as requested by NATSEC Advisor Itamar ben Gvir.

3 April 2023: Last evening Arutz Sheva published the comments made by Defense Minister Yoav Gallant during his tour of the Etzion Regional Brigade whose AOR is around Bethlehem. Accompanying DM Gallant on this tour were the Commander of the Judea and Samaria Division, the CoS of Central Command and the Commander of the Shaked Battalion, Givati Brigade. The presence of these elite combatant commanders is indicative of the seriousness military situation Israel is currently facing; it's open publication in unclassified public media serves as I&W (Indication and Warning).

The situational assessment DM Gallant provided these commander with yesterday follows:

"All our fronts are tense. The Iranians are extending their outreach to Judea, Samaria, and Gaza and attempting to entrench themselves in Syria and Lebanon. We will not allow the Iranians and Hezbollah to harm us. We have not allowed it in the past, we won’t allow it now or anytime in the future. When necessary – we will push them out of Syria to where they belong – and that is [in] Iran."

  1. This is, as noted in the title, a Special SITREP. Major updates will post as they occur, minor updates will appear as comments within this SITREP.

  2. The drone shot down yesterday was Iranian (IRGC). Nothing but ashes remains. A second drone was shot down this morning over Gaza.
These drones are likely part of enemy attempts to collect pre-war intelligence in their AORs.

    1. It has been determined that HAMAS has acquired shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles of North Korean manufacture. Several of these MANPADS were fired at IAF jet fighters over Gaza during the shoot-down today of a HAMAS drone.

  3. Within the past hour the IAF has once again struck military targets near Damascus. This strike is the fourth in the past five days.

Eschatology Today assesses these strikes are preemptive in nature in order to thwart a large Iranian/Hezbollah attack on Israel.

  4. The U.S. has reinforced its forces in Syria with armored vehicles and other necessities for combat operations following recent Iranian attacks.

The USS George H.W. Bush and its CSG (Carrier Strike Group) have had its deployment extended indefinitely to further reinforce U.S. CENTCOM combat capabilities.

  5. Currently the situation on Temple Mount is being inflamed by Islamic jihadists, as forecast a few weeks ago, it's directive having originated in Tehran. Israel police will act to remove the threat - if that's possible.

More HAMAS rockets from Gaza today have caused human injuries and physical damage in Sderot. This means the terrorists in Gaza are literally playing with fire on a pool of gasoline. In other words they're risking mass martyrdom and annihilation to a false god.

    This is extremely dangerous!!!

  6. Violence continues at the al-Aqsa mosque on Temple Mount, and rockets have again been fired from Gaza at Israel.

  7. I am reading reports of rockets fired from Lebanon into Israel

    1. According the last accura0te report the number of Hezbollah rockets launched at Israel is 36.

The important caveat to these rocket launches, both HAMAS (Gaza) and Hezbollah (Lebanon), is Jordan announcing that Israel deserves this "retaliation" due to the suppression of Temple Mount terrorists.

No surprise here, 100% consistent with Psalm 83, Isaiah 11:12-14 and Ezekiel 28: 24-26... we're witnessing the process of prophetic fulfillment.

If this was 66-69 AD and we were chronicling the actions of 5 Roman legions gradually conquering and encircling Jerusalem in real-time, I suspect a good number of folks would not believe those events were fulfilling what Jesus had prophesied to them 30 years prior.

      It is what it is.

    2. Now hearing rockets fired from Syria into Israel -- that's three fronts now. Watching very closely.

    3. Yes, 3 rockets from Syria. Not sure whose they were, but Hezbollah would be a good guess. In any case Israel will know the details shortly.

  8. I am also hearing of IDF artillary fire into Lebenon and Gaza. Also several rumors of a major IDF ground action against both Lebenon and Gaza as well as some kind of air action against Syria.

  9. It's war. Israel's enemies are being attacked at this time.

    1. The IAF has struck targets in Lebanon.

HAMAS has been severely hit in Gaza, but its rockets continue to be launched at Israel.

Efforts are being made to prevent all-out war.

    2. As it's Passover it's difficult to form an accurate assessment of the state of conflict this morning. While not all-out war there are many instances of shooting attacks on Israelis, like the fatal shooting of Israeli women in the northern Jordan Valley, or Arab rioters stoning the gate to the Western Wall, or elderly Jews being assaulted in the Old City. There appears to be a pause in military action.

    1. Jon,
Personally, I don't think it matters whether we cite 30 AD or 33 AD as Resurrection Day. The "two days" have certainly elapsed by now with 360-day prophetic years at work.

Besides, not only does no one know the day or hour of His return, no one truly knows what year He ascended to the Father.

    2. I see that you saw where I was going and went straight to the heart of the question. Thank you and again, Happy Resurrection day

  12. It may be that Israel gave the US DoD forewarning today of a region-wide offensive to be waged against terrorists - most of whom have been directly funded and armed by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

    1. BREAKING: At around 11 PM EDT Israel's retaliation against the rocket fire from Syria (which had occurred on Saturday) continued with a disproportionate response to Syrian Army aggression.

Israeli media reports: "IDF fighter jets struck additional targets in Syrian territory, including a military compound of the Fourth Division of the Syrian Armed Forces, military radars systems and artillery posts used by the Syrian Armed Forces."

The disproportionate response of the IDF is 100% consistent with Israel's warning of an "overwhelming response" to any aggression against Israel from any source on any front.

    2. Update: Syrian regime allowed Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) to launch two volleys of three rockets each at Israel. The first volley on Saturday, the second volley this morning.

The rockets were likely road-mobile Katyusha artillery rockets, limited range and explosive power.

Similar to PIJ rocket launches from Gaza, these rockets launched from Syria were completely combat ineffective.

Nevertheless, the Syrian Army's elite 4th Division has paid the price in the form of punishing IAF air strikes on its southern command post.

  13. It has come to my attention that all but one final but important detail has been completed for Third Temple services.

In a very short time that last detail, the purifying ashes of the red heifer, will be available.

  14. In acknowledgement that the Israeli government has no interest in changing the status quo on the Temple Mount, it must therefore be acknowledged that the change of the status quo on the Temple Mount will be purely an act of our sovereign God.

  15. An IRGC proxy militia (Twelver mercenary militia) based in Deir Ezzor, Syria launched a rocket into the large U.S. base known as MSS Conoco (Mission Support Site Conoco) today. No inuries or serious damage occurred, but retaliatory strike(s) on IRGC-led forces in Syria are a virtual certainty.

This serves to remind all that the dual prophecies about Syria found in Isaiak 17 and Jeremiah 49 remain in an active process of fulfillment. Recent headlines noting Arab rapproachment, led by Saudi Arabia, with Bashar al-Assad's Damascus regime bel the true status of Syria after 13 years of civil war, an Iranian Twelver infestation, the Russian and Turkish military interventions as well as continuous Israeli and US-led Coalition strikes in the country have reduced Syria to a shadow of what it had been. Less than 50% of the pre-war Syrian nation remains intact, and millions are destitute refugees who are now a global diaspora.

There are no holidays or respite from ongoing prophetic fulfillment.
