Global SITREP A10-15: America Under Duress

Update 21 February 2015: If there was any doubt about the accuracy of what has been stated in this Eschatology Today blog post, then I would hope that what former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani has publicly burst forth with regarding our president will have buttressed the point that this nation has arrived at a critical juncture. A juncture such as this can also be referred to as "the breaking point"  between the "life and death" of this constitutional republic.

Even though many on the left and even some centrists are now in a virtual vapor lock over Giuliani's public statements, the fact remains that they are reacting as they are simply because the former mayor has told the brutal truth in saying, "He doesn’t love you. He doesn’t love me. He wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up: To love this country.”  Kudos to Rudy Giuliani for saying what needed to be said when it needed to be said. And its better late than never that he said what he has said. 

The only question now is, will this make a difference in the short-term? I don't care about the long-term simply because the Lord's prophetic word settled that issue long ago and its irrevocable. What concerns me is the here and now short-term and the tangible effects these things will have on our lives and how the words of Proverbs 24 and Ephesians 6:10-18 are powerfully resonating.

6 February 2015:  Many teachers of Bible prophecy have pointed out over the years that America is not mentioned specifically in the 'last days,' and because of this they have assumed or speculated that the country would have been attacked and destroyed by a nuclear armed enemy; or laid low by a natural disaster of unimaginable proportions; or even judged by Almighty God before the judgments of the other nations of the world during the 70th Week. 

Well, I do not believe there is a single human being alive today who accurately knows the future in the kind of detail that led to the above speculations, not even the so-called Bible prophecy "experts."  The only things I know for sure are what the Holy Spirit directly convicts me of, or what I hear and see with my own eyes and ears and have tested their validity. What I have heard very recently passes muster with both of these testable thresholds. 

This country of ours, the United States of America, is now facing the greatest danger it has ever faced since the Revolution of the late 1770s. A danger great than Hitler, Tojo, Stalin or Mao ever posed to our way of life. The danger we face today is within our own government leadership, from the Executive Office to all of our intelligence agencies and every department of the government that deals on a day to day basis with our national security.  All of these institutions of the American government been compromised to the highest level by Islamists, the same Islamists that the General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and the Egyptian Army had to over throw in a coup d'etat in July 2013, the al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun, the Muslim Brotherhood.

But you do not have to take my word for any of this. I would ask, however, that you pay all due attention to what the former US Navy Commander in Chief of the United States Pacific Fleet, Admiral James. A. "Ace" Lyons, Jr. has to say about the current dire situation facing America at the present time. What follows are excepts of an article written this past October by the Admiral entitled "Taking back America."

"Never in my lifetime did I believe this great nation would be taken down and withdrawn from its world leadership position by its own leadership. While some try to explain away the Obama administration’s damaging policies by making excuses, they fail to face reality. This is a planned agenda.

When then-Sen. Barack Obama announced in 2008 that he was going to fundamentally transform America, few Americans comprehended what that declaration actually meant. However, with his radical background and his leftist mentors and associates, his agenda became very clear early on in his presidency.

With its many scandals, including the Benghazi tragedy, the perverse “progressive” ideology of the Obama administration, combined with its deceitful and manipulative methods, has corrupted normally nonpartisan government agencies. More importantly, it has infected the civilian and military leadership who lead their agencies.

The core of the corruption is an attitude that flaunts the Constitution and takes the position that the president can do anything he wants with a pen and a phone that promotes an agenda, regardless of its impact on the country’s national security.

We used to have giants in Congress such as John Stennis, Richard Russell, Tip O’Neill, et al., who were Americans first and party members second when it came to matters affecting our national security. Regretfully, other than a few in the minority, that doesn’t exist today.

Clearly, trust in our government institutions has been eroded. Furthermore, the Obama administration’s embrace of the Muslim Brotherhood, with its penetration of essentially all our government agencies, including the Department of Defense, has had an adverse impact on our policies, particularly with regard to the Middle East and the global war on terrorism. As we have seen, the administration switched sides in that war in Libya by financing, training and arming Islamic jihadist militias who were under the political control of the Muslim Brotherhood. It was these same militias that carried out the terrorist attacks on the U.S. compound in Benghazi. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s failure to provide adequate security prior to the attack even though there was advanced warning, according to five CIA security contractors at the Benghazi annex, as well as the administration’s failure to respond militarily, was a dereliction of duty.

Nonetheless, it was the catalyst for the implementation of “sequestration.” It provided the vehicle for the unilateral disarmament of our military forces.

With the United States being challenged throughout the world, our reduced military forces are severely stretched in meeting all their requirements. However, we still retain the capability to mount a massive, around-the-clock air campaign to defeat the Islamic State. The few strikes per day we are conducting in Iraq and Syria, with restricted rules of engagement, do not constitute a serious air campaign.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff know that what we are doing today in Iraq and Syria to defeat the Islamic State is wrong. By their acquiescence to the administration’s half-hearted war policies, they cannot escape being held accountable for the genocide the Islamic State will inflict on the Syrian inhabitants of Kobani, the Kurds and other minorities.

The real question is, how do you change the disastrous Obama administration policies that affect our national security? Obviously, the ballot box is one way, but the one institution that has the power to send an unmistakable signal that will be heard throughout the country is the Joint Chiefs of Staff. It is time for them to live up to their oath of office — “to defend this country against all enemies foreign and domestic.” The Obama administration has clearly violated the Constitution and must be held accountable. Since we no longer can count on Congress, the Joint Chiefs as a corporate body should voice their objections to administration policies that are threatening America’s security and that of our allies. It’s time to take back America."

How does this country get out of this mess? The November 2016 election is definitely the preferred method as the Admiral has just made abundantly clear above. However, given the current and nearly catastrophic world situation, the next 22 months could prove to be too long, too little and too late.  As the Admiral suggests, it may boil down to a few senior flag officers of our Armed Forces, that is the one's who are left in the wake of the Islamist putsch of American military officers following the Benghazi massacre, who will take a stand against all enemies, foreign and domestic. So help them God.

Naming the Threat 

Although she is no longer part of the Obama Administration, former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton had at her side a Muslim woman by the name of Huma Abedin. Huma Abedin is Hillary's' 'special aide' and carried the official title of Deputy Chief of Staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  If Hillary is the Democrat Party nominee for president in the 2016 election, and it able to win the election, then the Islamist Huma Abedin almost certainly will be a part of a Clinton Administration and an Islamic supremacist will once again be resident in our White House. Huma Abedin comes from a family with very active membership in the Muslim Brotherhood (al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun, or just Ikhwan for short). Huma also spent twelve years for a Saudi Arabian think-tank known as the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs (IMMA). According to Andrew C. McCarthy, the agenda and still active purpose of  the IMMA is “to grow an unassimilated, aggressive population of Islamic supremacists who will gradually but dramatically alter the character of the West.”  So, ask yourself a question. What is the difference between an Islamic jihadist and an Islamic supremacist? The answer: none. Their objectives are identical. The former U.S. House of Representatives Republican from Minnesota's 6th Congressional District, Michele Bachmann, deserves much credit for exposing these facts over the past six years.

Other Islamists currently embedded within the Obama Administration were exposed by the Arabic-language Egyptian publication Rose El-Youssef in December 2012. The Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) has posted an English translation of the Egyptian article by Ahmed Shawki, "A Man and 6 of the Ikhwan in the White House." Those six named Ikhwan infiltrators are: "Arif Alikhan, assistant secretary of Homeland Security for policy development; Mohammed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council; Rashad Hussain, the U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference; Salam al-Marayati, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC); Imam Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA); and Eboo Patel, a member of President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships."  This article explains what we have seen in practical application in everything President Obama has said and his administration has done thus far with respect to Islam's war (jihad) against us and his personal refusal (Islamic al-taqiyya) to identify Islamists as the enemy at war with us. That explanation boils down to the fact the Obama Administration has never operated from a position of hostility toward the Islamic terrorists of the Muslim Brotherhood, but instead became the largest and most important supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood on the face of the earth.  

Were you aware that terrorist Muslim Brotherhood representatives and HAMAS supporters received direct access on Wednesday 28, January 2015 to Congress and the U.S. State Department in order to request their assistance in restoring the overthrown Islamist government of Mohamed Morsi to power in Egypt? The IPT reported this on 29 January.This happens at the same time as American taxpayer dollars are sent to Israel to assist an Obama Administration attempt to defeat Likud and Benjamin Netanyahu in the Israel's parliamentary elections next month. If not, I suggest reading this FrontPageMag.com article.

Have you seen even one comprehensive report about any of this on an American prime time news program aired by media giants such as CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC or even FoxNews? How about a single coherent sentence about this? Why not? So, ask yourself why an Egyptian magazine would think this information was important enough to inform the Egyptian people about as they struggle against the Islamist tyranny, revolution, insurrection and outright war in their homeland by the likes of the Muslim Brotherhood, HAMAS and Islamic State. Might you think none of this has any relation to 'last days' Bible prophecy? Try reading Isaiah 19. This is what the above Islamists and many more of their brothers are intent on bringing to these United States of America.

One last question. What, if anything, will you as an American citizen personally do about it?

Global SITREP E4-14: A Psalm 83 Link to the Islamic State?

UPDATE 17 November 2014: According to a knowledgeable Kurdish military leader, the Western nations have severely underestimated the fighting strength and physical numbers of the Islamic State's forces.  The West (think Obama Administration) is operating under a false assessment that IS forces number in total about 31,500 men. However, Fuad Hussein, chief of staff of Kurdish president Massoud Barzani, makes the highly supportable assessment that the West's assessment is seven times lower than the true strength of the Islamic State forces. Kurdish field commanders say the true figure is closer to 200,000 that have joined, been assimilated through baya, or actively recruited from among the Sunni populace.

The Kurdish assessment is backed by the fact that IS is able to muster thousands of troops for major assaults simultaneously from Kobani in northern Syria, to Baghdad in Iraq and in several different locales in Kurdistan in between.  Based upon the territory under IS control in Iraq and Syria (2,500,000sq.km.) there are between 10 and 12 million Sunni men of fighting age in the pool of manpower IS can draw from. A Western commitment of boots-on-the-ground would have to be closer to the numbers of Desert Storm in 1991 (500,000 to 600,000) in order to "degrade and destroy" the Islamic State as the Obama Administration's plan exists today. Five bombing mission per day ain't gonna cut it.

16 November 2014: According to Islamic State caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's just released public communique, the list of Islamic State wilayat (provinces) based upon the baya (an Islamic binding oath of allegiance) received from these locales. In addition to Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Sinai and the Nile valley of Egypt (detailed below) the other acknowledged baya have come from al-Baghdadi's devoted followers in Saudi Arabia; Yemen; Algeria (Army of the Caliph); Libya (Majlis Shura Shabab al-Islam). Interestingly, some received baya have been ignored, particularly those received from non-Arab nations such as Pakistan, Indonesia and the Philippines.

This would indicate a distinct Arab supremacist nature is involved with the initial growth of the Islamic State. The acknowledgement of these baya is found in Islamic State references to these various places as, for example, Wilayat Sinai.  Next on the expansionist agenda are Wilayat Jordan and Wilayat Palestine, meaning all of Israel beginning with Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem.  The "liberation" of Jerusalem and the rest of "Palestine" is the primary task assigned to Wilayat Sinai, and their brethren in the Nile Valley who will wage war on the Egyptian government currently led by President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi whom they have identified as "Zionist collaborators." The Islamic State war against Egypt from within Sinai and the Nile Valley is to take precedence over the Liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem. (See Isaiah 19 and Ezekiel 29 for related Bible prophecy).

The Islamic State also has declared another of its objectives is to annihilate the Shi'a sect of Islam in Saudi Arabia, Yemen and, obviously, Iran and Lebanon. They will leave the jihad against the "Crusaders" to their core jihadist partners in Al Qaeda and its veterans in Syria, the newly identified Khorsan group.

15 November 2014: Exactly one month ago today in the first paragraph of Global SITREP D8-14: General Observations  I posted information regarding the Sunni terrorist group Ansar Beit al-Maqdis and how they had sworn their jihadist allegiance to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, and who are largely funded by the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood - the same Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood that was so steadfastly supported by the Obama Administration in their uprising against former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's government. Remember this because it is both very instructive about a president with two years remaining in the White House and who has long been at war with the government of the State of Israel.

I now report to you that Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, (a/k/a Ansar Jerusalem and 'Supporters of the Holy House' - which is the Dome of the Rock on Temple Mount) has gone well past declaring their allegiance to the Islamic State, they have begun declaring that the Sinai which they control is a wilayat (an Arab word meaning an administrative division, a province, a state) of the Islamic State. This is what the Islamic State's twitter feed banner above illustrates, that Sinai is a wilayat under the control of Ansar Beit al-Maqdis and is an official province of the Islamic State Caliphate.  

It may well be important for us to begin to understand this development in strictly prophetic terms and thus signalling the closeness of the coming final fulfillment of Psalm 83. At this time it does appear  that the Sinai Wilayat of the Islamic State represents the seventh of the ten groups identified by Asaph in Psalm 83 being an integral part of the confederacy of one consent seeking to destroy the State of Israel. The Sinai Wilayat of the Islamic State are  the Amalekites identified by Asaph in Psalm 83:5-8. There is also a branch of the Islamic State now active in the Nile Valley of Egypt as well.

The Amalekites were the very first enemy Israel encountered going back to antiquity when Israel wandered the wilderness of present-day Sinai and western Saudi Arabia in the days of Moses and Joshua after the exodus from Egypt. Exodus 17:8-16 provides a brief description of the first day-long battle between Israel and the Amalekites at Rephidim. Verses 14-16 foretell the final destruction of the Amalekites in the coming final fulfillment of Psalm 83.

As discussed in the previous series of Operation Protective Edge SITREPs, and as stated many times over by Israel's current leadership, HAMAS is Islamic State and Islamic State is HAMAS. Sunni jihadists are Sunni jihadists. HAMAS is born of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood; the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood is HAMAS. Islamic State is in Gaza. At some point HAMAS may announce this themselves, but that would merely a confirmation of what we already know. Also at some point the Obama Administration may have to throw their support for the Egyptian Muslim brotherhood under the proverbial bus because it has recently declared war on the Islamic State. Or has it? A few bombing sorties does not a "degrade and destroy" mission make, especially without a serious commitment of American boots on the ground to take and hold territory.

In the north, in Lebanon, the Islamic State has made its presence known in a very big way recently. And along the entire length of the Israel-Syria border in the Golan Heights the jihadists known as Jabhat al-Nusra (Al Qaeda) are now in full control and face the IDF directly across the DMZ after having defeated Syrian and Hezbollah forces seeking to regain control of the border town at Quneitra. Jabhat al-Nursa (Al Qaeda) and the Islamic State, as reported here in previous SITREPS, agreed to a merger of their forces and smaller Sunni jihadi militias into a unified Sunni jihadist force to coordinate their strategic war plans for the expansion of the Caliphate, most likely into Jordan. 

Without any significant opposing military force on the ground other than the outnumbered Kurds, it may only be a relatively brief amount of time before the Islamic State Caliphate is either composed of all ten groups identified by Asaph in Psalm 83 or it consults with their Shi'a enemies, perhaps after an unprecedented catastrophe has occurred in Damascus, to turn their weapons upon Israel for the final engagements of Psalm 83. It may well be that Psalm 83 finds its final fulfillment in a final regional war from Lebanon to the Sinai, with strong arm military hardware assistance from the Islamic State-controlled region of ancient Assur, between Israel and the new Caliphate. Global SITREP A21-13: Paying Attention to Current Events Details to Determine the Prophetic Future

BREAKING NEWS 23 August 2013: 85-year old Former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak has been released from prison and was taken to an Egyptian military hospital in Cairo. 

Additionally: Overnight Israel scored a direct hit on a Jihad Islami terrorist target south of Beirut Lebanon after that group fired four rockets into the vicinity of Nahariya in northern Israel yesterday afternoon. One of the four rockets was destroyed in mid-flight by the Iron Dome defense system.

21 August 2013: Reports are coming in of the discovery of at least four mass graves of genocide victims. These mass have been located in the Raba'a section of Cairo, two others are outside the city of Alexandria and one is just south of Port Said. There are thousands of genocide victims in the mass graves containing the decomposing bodies of men women and children, many of whose bodies exhibit clear evidence of gruesome torture, and many of whom were Coptic Christians. The blood of these innocents are on the hands of the Ikhwan Muslimun (Muslim Brotherhood) as well as the Obama Administration which  put the Islamists into power in Egypt.

19 August 2013: Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is to be freed from jail by the Egyptian judiciary within hours after a dismissal of most of the charges against him. One other item hindering his total freedom will be resolved shortly.

17 August 2013 (revised, expanded and updated): I have been very consistent in making the prophetic interpretation that Ezekiel 38/39 speaks to a pre-70th Week alliance between the West ("the merchants of Tarshish and all their young lions") and Sunni Islam ("Sheba and Dedan"), especially the primary nations of the Arabian Peninsula, also known as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

I'll refer to this new reality as the "New Arabian Paradigm." It is the paradigm of "Sheba and Dedan" being joined with Tarshish and their young lions in Ezekiel 38. This Western-Sunni Arab alliance will have its basis in the false unifying notion of kinship in an 'Abrahamic' religion. 'Abrahamic' religion is the vehicle by which the global elite will initially unify the avowed Jewish and Christian faiths with Islam. 'Abrahamic' religion will falsely unify the God of Israel with the false god Allah of Islam. Here also, at least in part I believe, is the basis for the great, global mercantile harlot arrayed in purple and scarlet of Revelation 17.

One really needs to dig into the OSINT reports of the past couple of weeks to find evidence of exactly this alliance, an alliance that pits Islam against itself (Sunni versus Shi'a) and also is manifest in the established regimes or power brokers of the Sunni Islamic world against the Jihadists such as Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood. This SITREP will present that evidence to you.

The most in-our-face evidence is, of course, the Sunni versus Shi'a war in Syria, and in Lebanon. Multiple repeated high casualty attacks in Beirut against Hezbollah of late have grabbed most of the headlines. So too the Saudi Arabian's using their front line strike aircraft against Al Qaeda jihadists along the Yemeni frontier and the Bahraini's declaring Shi'a insurrectionists the equivalent of Muslim apostates.

The more is found in what occurred in Qatar recently and that direct impacted the military coup in Egpyt. That event was the (possibly forced) abdication of the Qatari absolute monarch, Emir Sheikh Hamad Ibn Khalifa al-Thani, in favor of his son, Sheikh Tamim, on 24 June 2013. 

As a bit of background to understand the full scope of this event, the Qatari regime had been the financial backbone of Mohammed Morsi and his Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood under Emir al-Thani, just as the Qatari's had been the financial backbone of the Sunni jihadists in Syria in providing millions of petrodollars worth of heavy weapons and financial aid, and even before that to the jihadists who overthrew Muamar Qadhafi in Libya. 

Until 24 June Qatar single-highhandedly had propped up the Egyptian economy under Morsi and the Ikhwan's (Muslim Brotherhood's) rule. The Qatari's had also been paying Mohammed Morsi a six figure stipend, and that is the basis for the treason and criminal charge of betraying Egypt's national security that General El-Sissi has referred to the Egyptian judicial system for trial. FoxNews reported this on 9 July, six days after the military coup that removed Morsi and the Ikhwan from power.

The bottom line: it took just 9 days after Emir Al-Thani's abdication for new Qatari Emir Tamim to reverse the course of Qatar's foreign policy and cut the legs off the Egyptian Ikhwan, and pull the rug from under Mohammed Morsi's fundamentalist Islamic rule and set the course for the Egyptian military to seize control of the government from the Islamists. Moreover, Qatar and Saudi Arabia had been quite antagonistic rivals until the abdication of al-Thani. Now under Emir Tamim a rapprochement has occurred between "Sheba and Dedan" and they're now in full accord with each other.

The final aspect of the emergence of the "New Arabian Paradigm" is also found in Saudi Arabia, where the ruling absolute monarch made his position perfectly clear just yesterday. The new position of King Abdullah places the House of Al-Saud in direct opposition to the fundamentalists of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Ikhwan, and like their Qatari cousins in full support of the new Egyptian military regime. Both the Qatari's and the Saudi royals have sided with the majority of the Egyptian people against the Islamic fundamentalists. King Abdullah has pledged $5 to 20 billion in cash in support of Egypt's interim government established by General el-Sissi and the Egyptian Army.  Other adjustments like this within the realm of Sunni Islam are likely to be forthcoming, and very soon.

I believe the impact of this new paradigm will be monumental, a sea change that will set a new course, a more defined course as events play themselves out enroute to the end-game that will be the fulfillment of Isaiah 17, Psalm 83 and ultimately Ezekiel 38/39 in the run-up to the advent of the 70th Week. On the chance that I be accused of engaging in "newspaper exegesis" with this real-world observation, I would advise those prospective claimants to watch these events have their full-impact prior to making such a criticism. I believe most of the key recent events I have just described are actually news to many Bible prophecy expositors at this point.

Update 18 August 2013: We will simply have to watch as American military Commander-In-Chief Barack Hussein Obama's untenable and incoherent position in full support of Islamic fundamentalist terrorism (the Ikhwan Muslimun, the Muslim Brotherhood) in Egypt will be forced to execute a 180 degree somersault of real and immediate change in favor of the interim government of General El-Sissi or the age American influence and military alliance with Egypt will swiftly come to an abrupt end. One could reasonably expect that preparations and calculations for the execution of our CInC's somersault were in progress even before the ink dried in the paper the ultimatum was printed on.

Yesterday Egypt's leading newspaper, El-Watan, published an ultimatum to Commander-In-Chief Obama and his Pentagon generals that was signed by Egypt's Major General Muhammad al-Assar and entitled "Sisi to Pentagon." This ultimatum made no bones about the fact that Obama MUST change his present course. Quoting a portion of the ultimatum, "We will not retreat from fighting terrorism; the [Egyptian] military does not run, for [our] republic has leadership, and our message is clear: we will not allow red lines to be crossed.”  The Watan editorial was the chosen venue for the publishing of the ultimatum because the interim government in Egypt had cut off all contact with the Obama Administration through normal channels, although contact with the Pentagon itself was not completely severed, as a direct result of Obama's condemning speech delivered this past Thursday evening.

One could now reasonably expect that all of Obama's threats of withdrawing $1.3 billion in financial and military aid to Egypt (easily offset by Saudi Arabia's pledge of $5-20 billion) will cease forthwith; the annual American-Egyptian "Operation Bright Star" military exercise which was cancelled last week by Commander-In-Chief Obama will be summarily reinstated as previously scheduled, and the in-hiatus sale of F-16 strike aircraft will be put back on schedule as well. Commander-In-Chief Obama will soon announce that America stands foursquare with the overwhelming popular will of the Egyptian people who have made clear their rejection of Mohammed Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood-led Islamic dictatorship.. Such is the likely result when spineless, untenable and incoherent ideological pursuits are met head-on with national backbone and resolve. 

Addendum: What is the key thing that both the Islamic terrorists of the Ikhwan and American Commander-In-Chief Barack Obama got wrong about Egypt?  They both failed to recognize that Egypt is a country with a culture which has existed for many thousands of years. Egypt contains a culture that was harmonized with both ancient Greek and Roman cultures. It is a culture that has also withstood the invasion of Islam as a foreign occupying ideology for hundreds of years. It is a culture which the Bible repeatedly addresses and prophecies about for the present and the future; it is a culture in which Christianity was brought to it by the Apostle Mark more than half a millennium prior to the Islamic invasion; a Christianity which survives to this day in the Coptic Orthodox Church and other churches throughout the continent of Africa. What the Ikhwan and Obama failed to recognize is that the culture which Egypt possesses is multifaceted, ancient and enduring; that most of its people want no part of an Islamic dictatorship lording over them. Egypt's future as determined by God is detailed in Isaiah 19:18-25.

Update 19 August 2013:  Contrary to the near panic-stricken and hand-wringing musings of the secular Israeli's who penned today's lead story for DEBKAfile, there is no immediate risk of a renewed Russian military presence on Israel's borders with Syria and Egypt. The prophecy of Ezekiel 38/39 will come to pass at its appointed time, but now is clearly not that time according to the text of Ezekiel's prophecy.  At most the Russian's are attempting to exploit the incompetency and compounded errors being made through U.S. Commander-In-Chief Barack Obama's incoherent policy in support of the Egyptian Ikhwan terrorists.

And also to the contrary, DEBKAfile's claim that "Israel has absolutely no involvement in Gen. El-Sisi’s war on the Muslim Brotherhood," is patently false. Israel is intimately involved in all aspects of support of the Egyptian interim government's war against the Ikhwan terrorists. This is due to the fact that should the Egyptian military fail to completely secure Egypt from the Islamic dictatorship the Ikhwan had begun to create, Israel would then face Islamic jihadist regimes on all of its borders, including Jordan.

Proof of Israel's intimate dealings with the Egyptian military and intelligence apparatus is self-evident in the instantaneous notification of Israel's military and intelligence apparatus of the Egyptian police executing an arrest of Muhammed al-Zawahri, the brother of Al Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahri on Saturday, 17 August, at a security checkpoint in Giza, Egypt. Mohammed al-Zawahri had previously be personally leading jihadists attacks against Israel from the Sinai. In this light there is no doubt that Israeli intelligence (i.e. the Mossad and/or Shin Bet) had been tracking his movements closely and may have been intimately involved in the interception and arrest at the Giza checkpoint, hence the instantaneous knowledge of his arrest.
