UPDATED 23 July 2023: Continuing the theme of the previous SITREP as has become the custom here, the above image of the Temple Mount - Har HaBayit - (click on it for an easy to study enlargement or to save it to your PC) from the Temple Institute is where we begin. This, brothers and sisters, is THE focal point of the "end game." This is a fixed location, there is and can be no other! This is the place that God has chosen, so says the LORD Gpd in Deuteronomy 12:5-6.
This image presents two views of the Temple Mount, one with and one without the Temple. For reference the compass is central to this image. If you have saved it, rotate the image one-click clockwise so that north is at the top and not to the left. This gives better perspective, especially with regard to the Mount of Olives due east of the front of the Temple where (in a little over a year or so) the red heifer will be sacrificed and burned in the essential purity ritual. A lot can happen in a year, so Eschatology Today has chosen to highlight this image at this time for your information The point is that regardless if one believes the prophetic narrative or not, the "status quo" of the Temple Mount, a/k/a Mount Zion, and its environs will drastically change. Bible prophecy dictates it will be so as we all should be aware.
Today, once again as we've discussed in the past, the enemies of God and the children of Israel have raised their heads and their voices declaring in the most unambiguous manner possible that now is the time for them all to rise up as one, as was foretold by the singing chozeh/prophet Asaph in Psalm 83:1-8. Just yesterday the leader of the political wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) called upon all groups to recognize the historic opportunity which now exists to wage holy war upon Israel in order to eliminate it and the name of Israel from the land. There is no question that this agenda is forefront is the PIJ's primary foreign backer, the Islamic Republic of Iran. The intent and objective is to use the ongoing political divide in Israel over "judicial reform" and the directly associated refusal of IDF reservists, both pilots and special forces, to serve if called upon.
As we all know, none of this is coincidental.
FINAL UPDATE 7 August 2023: As we approach the 14th year of the Eschatology Today blog it has been noted that, prophetically speaking, the conflict between Israel and its neighbors has without question entered the "end game." Indeed, without warning the end will come to further SITREPs and/or updates and comments. These past 14 years are in the rear view mirror for us, but not for Israel and its people; they have much to endure prior to the advent of the 70th Week of Years, also known as the time of Jacob's trouble.
Israel's Ministry of Defense (MoD), the defense establishment, has published by release to Israeli media its analysis of the coming war. This analysis, without a single referencing of the Biblical prophetic narratives of the major prophets of old, nevertheless bears a striking resemblance to the Scriptures, near verbatim but in a wholly secular context.
The Israeli MoD is forecasting that war on the northern front (Lebanon and Syria) will be joined by war emanating from Gaza, as well as within Israel itself, Judea and Samaria in particular. This is the multi-front war refenced here umpteen times over the years, a war which will exceed in ferocity and casualties the sum total of the previous Arab-Israeli wars of 1948, 1967, 1973 and 2006 combined. The MoD expectation, as reserved and conservative as it is, estimates 1,500 rockets of various types will inflict combat effective damage upon Israeli infrastructure and death among the citizenry. That's just the first four days of warfare. 1,500 rocket strikes per day.
In contrast the MoD cites the May 2021 Gaza War which saw 5 times fewer rockets, or 300 per day over a five-day period. Going back six years earlier to the 2014 war the MoD cites almost 20 times fewer rockets over the 50 days of that conflict. Even still those conflicts and all the rocket fire amounted to miniscule combat effectiveness against Israeli infrastructure and civilian fatalities.
According to Isaiah 17:4-6 the civilian casualties in this coming war will be quite substantial. And Isaiah 17 references a time, as is the present, where Israel is in disbelief (i.e. verse 10 "You have forgotten God your Savior.") This speaks to imminence. Ezekiel 38:7-10 prophesies that Israel will recover from the death and destruction of this multi-front war, and that all of its people will live in safety, without walls, bars or gates. This last part about bars or gates is most interesting, as there are several dozen crossing points between PA-controlled areas, as well as Gaza, where the crossings have armed troops, bars and gates to protect Israel and its people. Following this war all of these security measures will no longer exist; they'll be purposeless, completely unnecessary. Furthermore, Ezekiel 28:24 confirms this, in quoting the LORD God saying, "And there shall no longer be a pricking brier or a painful thorn for the house of Israel from among all who are around them, who despise them. Then they shall know that I am the Lord God."

As is the norm, we're ahead of the curve here and must await real-world events to catch up with the prophetic narrative found in Deuteronomy to The Apocalypse of Jesus Christ.

DeleteSean, as I read this SITREP, all I kept hearing in my mind was "Past as prologue", so when I saw that phrase in your comment above, it was very reassuring. I also have been feeling that I need to go through and gain a better understanding with the ancient rituals and the red heifer has been at the forefront of my mind.

So is (as also noted) the exact location on the Mount of Olives (now owned by a rabbi) which precisely faces where the front of the Third Temple will soon be and where the heifer is to be sacrificed for purity.
Soon there will also appear (be constructed) many mikva'ot for immersion near Mount Zion. There will be for worshippers ritualistic use. For that matter, many already do this prior to making aliyah (ascending the mount) on the walk (blue arrows) around where the Temple (the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies) will soon exist.

This might sound redundant, but I really don't think that the majority of christians, even Bible believing Christians, truly realize just how much the situation is going to change on the temple mount. We're going to wake up one morning and the whole scenario will be radically different and many if not most don't even give it a second thought

DeleteIt's not redundant, not really, and that's because we cannot put enough emphasis on the paradigm shift that's coming.
The prophetic word of God tells us that there will be a 3rd Temple. There will be a return to the daily sacrifice and oblations of ancient times. And one man, one very evil agent of Satan will summarily end these rituals of Jewish worship on Temple Mount.
How does this compare to the current off-the-hook kerfuffle over judicial reform and the "reasonableness clause" between the right, center and left of Israeli political points of view.
Past as prologue. These are more birth pangs occurring 75 years after Israel's rebirth in one day. Prophecy never fails because it comes from the LORD God. His plan wins.

We're just watching - with considerable intensity - for this mess to reach critical mass. Blocked roads, discord within the IDF, internal and external threats acute and growing. DeletePast as prologue, nothing is coincidence. This has definitely got my attention, but to be honest, I had to look up Tisha B'Av to understand the reason and meaning for it. I apologize for my ignorance but at least now I am watching with eyes open.
DeleteFor those who are/were like me and do not understand the significance, a simple look up of Tisha B'Av reveals it is an annual fast day in Judaism, on which a number of disasters in Jewish history occurred, primarily the destruction of both Solomon's Temple by the Neo-Babylonian Empire and the Second Temple by the Roman Empire in Jerusalem. Tisha B'Av marks the end of the three weeks between dire straits and is regarded as the saddest day in the Jewish calendar, and it is thus believed to be a day which is destined for tragedy. Tisha B'Av falls in July or August.

Shalom. The Israelites are at the end of Between the Straits, a mourning period to remember the destruction of the 1st and 2nd temple on the 9th of Av. This is no coincidence. And than you have Nassad that thinks Israel is weak from their internal problems and wants to attack Israel at any time. Wonderful times to live in and bear witness to Gos's unwavering prophetic word being played out in real time for us. I thank God for him sendiing your insight for us. Time is very short for us.

DeleteKeep also a watch on the elections for the European Parliament in May-June 2024, because it is very likely that the antichrist will come to power during these elections. And these 10 kings who will give their power to the beast, could very well be 10 Euro commissioners who will receiver their power just after these elections. If that's true, it means that the Rapture and our redemption will be in the months and next year ahead.

After the Rapture there will be so much chaos in Europe, causing various European governments to fail and to be replaced by new governments which will form the 10 kings alliance.
In my opinion it is very likely that the 10 kings of the European Revived Roman Empire from which the antichrist will emerge, will be government leaders of right-wing populist governments. Because the WEF's Great Reset Plans and UN Agenda 2030 create so much resistance under ordinary citizens that they vote on right-wing populist parties which promise solutions to high inflation, refugee crisis, economic hardship, etc. In times of economic hardship Europe tends to lean on right wing fascist politicians, history has proven this fact. And we see that happening again, in far right fascist politics it's all about strong leaders promising solutions to problems the leftist can't solve and all about strong military. The antichrist will be an extremely brutal far right fascist ruler.

Old Testament Scripture tells us about Ezekiel's Wheel and Revelation tells us about the massive New Jerusalem.
By definition these things are other worldly and one needs Spiritual discernment to navigate the issue.

The Arabs aren't ignorant; they're acutely aware of the intent and purpose of the red heifer(s). Israeli media has not been shy about stating these things openly, and this has the Arabs very agitated and likely to act to preempt in ways we and Israeli authorities can only guess at.

The Arab Muslim fear of the red heifer and the Will of the God of Israel are on course for a high-speed head-on collision. The Arabs are not wearing a seat belt and have no air bags. They will know that I AM is the One True God.
