| Islamic Republic Iran Ship 'Kharg' Ablaze |
2 June 2021: The largest ship of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, the IRIS Kharg, caught fire, burned for more than 20 hours and then sank in the Gulf of Oman. The sinking occurred not far from the Iranian port of Jask. The ship had been an oiler and replenishment ship for Iran's naval forces.

The entirety of the Kharg's crew safely evacuated the ship after all hope of saving her afloat was lost. Not much doubt at this point that Iran will look to Israel as having sabotaged the Kharg since it was very likely Israeli commandos had attacked and severely damaged the communications and supply vessel IRIS Saviz this past April while it was anchored in the southern Red Sea.
This events is assessed by Eshatology Today to be a continuation, if not retribution, for Iran's central role in arming, upgrading and now re-supplying HAMAS/PIJ terrorists with weapons of war used against the citizens of Israel last month. Hence, the TITLE for this SITREP.
Also of note, during the Mossad's change-of-command ceremony from Yossi Cohen to David Barnea earlier this week, PM Bibi Netanyahu charged the Mossad at taking the lead and doing whatever it takes to ensure that Iran never acquires nuclear weapons.
Cohen's Mossad over the previous five years of his tenure had a masterful run of incessant covert attacks upon the Iranian nuclear program, from eliminating the father of the Iranian nuclear program to multile, sometime crippling attacks of infrastructure. The crown jewel of these covert operations was the incredible raid into downtown Tehran during which Mossad operatives seized the entire archive of Iran's nuclear program and returned it to Israel. PM Netanyahu revealed this operation to the world in 2018.
These operations were summed up by Yossi Cohen at his farewell ceremony when he stated, "We penetrated the heart of hearts of the enemy Iran. We acted to constantly collect intelligence and uncover its secrets, and undermined its self-confidence and haughtiness." It should go without saying that the Mossad under David Barnea's new leadership will remain up to the task and challenges assigned to it; that covert operations against the Ayatollah regime continue without cessation. These operations will remain in the dark until such time as revealing them is in Israel's best interests.
The action against the IRIS Kharg, ongoing Iranian re-supply efforts to the terrorists in Gaza (some of it coming from Libya), as well as the IDF actions on the Golan yesterday (a Syrian Army outpost was obliterated by tank fire, and it was the third such IDF operation in Syria in 2021) ensure that the host of Bible prophecies remain on the path to their fulfillment.
