UPDATED 1 January 2026: Day Four of the nation-wide anti-Twelver regime protests in the Islamic Republic might be remembered as the first day of the Iranian people's counter-revolution.
In the city of Hamedan, the epicenter of the pro-monarchist Pahlavi aspect of the revolt, the IRGC HQ was attacked and set ablaze. One IRGC/Basij soldier was killed and at least a dozen were wounded according to early intel. The response from the government was live fire and gas grenades.
A curious and unique development came from reformist Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian who said the rebelling populace have "legitimate grievances." Nothing like this has happened in the past ten years of Iranian popluar unrest.
The question now is will kinetic and neutralizing military assistance be forthcoming from the US and/or Israel?
7 January 2026: The rebellion against the Twelver regime has grown almost exponentially with each passing day. The Twelver thugs level of violence has increased with each utterance by the murderer-in-chief, ayatolleh khamenei.
And the talking heads in the U.S. political establishment, those not over-taken by Venezuelan issues, continue to assure the Iranian rebels that "help is on the way." What form that help will come in remains completely dark, or is at this point 100% covert. Israeli Mossad is present, so we assume our guys are also.
As Eschatology Today sees it, events are following Jeremiah's prophetic narrative as Ilam (Elam) province is slowly coming to the forefront.

FINAL UPDATE 21 January 2026: The IAEA is sounding alarm claxons over the nearly 1,000 pounds of Highly Enriched Uranium (HEU) that is unaccounted for because Iran is refusing to allow expert determination of its current status. This HEU is enough for 10 nuclear warheads, or dozens of dirty bomb warheads.
This is an urgent issue. Why? Because there are 100 former American soldiers who are slowly dying of radiation sickness due to Iran's use of 12 dirty bomb warheads against them at Ain Al-Asad Air Base in January 2020. We also can't forget that Persia will be a part of the Ezek 38 coalition, and will play a role with the other nations. Despite what happens here, I don't see the demonic-inspired hatred that the evil leadership feels for Israel going away. Trump was bloviating, speaking in a grand style, as is his custom, as if the mullahs fear his words. Not only are we not "locked and loaded" but we've yet to determine targets to strike in support of the Iranian people - who are now being massacred.

The Twelver create chaos in the world to force mahdi to appear.
The Twelver's have caused much damage to Iran besides extreme drought: economic, societal and in governance. Their policies have caused the collapse of external agencies (via IRGC-QF) of chaos in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq.
And all of that has caused rebellion in Iran. Khamenei and they Twelvers see the initiation of a great war between themselves and big satan (US) and little satan (Israel) would create the chaos necessary for mahdi to appear.
The attempted nuclear option is kaput, so provoking a great war in the region, given the current chaos in Iran, should push the intizār into reality.
So Khamenei's blatant provoking of Trump or attacking Israel is all that Khamenei has left.

Gabriel's admonition in Daniel 9 of the processes being "like a flood" attests to the rapidity involved. And since Jesus spoke of the "generation" alive at that time, then the time frame is absolutely within a human scale and not the Divine eternal scale.
Looks like the Twelver provoking has gone up a notch or two by allowing this information to get out. Recent protesters were forced to strip naked in a mass formation in a prison's outdoor courtyard in winter conditions. They were then hosed down with cold water in the courtyard. When taken indoors they were given injections of an unknown substance. The protesters are enduring torture before being killed.

Israel (Netanyahu and the Security Cabinet) standing firm against US dictates regarding Gaza phase 2. Those dictates appear to be from Witkoff and Kushner and not Trump, per se. Those dictates were never discussed with Israel. Therefore, Israel is refusing to open the Rafah crossing, nor will Israel allow Turkish or Qatari participation in Gaza. The clear alternative is a return to war in Gaza to finish the mission.

Israel's missile defenses are greater than they were in June, and since then the IAI has been manufacturing missiles in three shifts, around the clock. Additionally, any enemy assault against Israel will be met with IDF offensive capabilities never before seen. (Read into that what you will, but I think it might be a hint to the deployment of low-yield tactical nukes.)
