Global SITREP A3-26: Operation Epic Fury Endgame PART III

April 22, 2026: We now know that President Trump's unilateral extension of the ceasefire with the Iranian Twelver regime is due to the fact that the regime is in a fractured and highly unstable political state. The IRGC appears to be acting since yesterday as the de facto power of the government in ordering attacks by IRCG fast attack craft on M/Vs in the Strait of Hormuz and east of it from the Iranian Port of Chabahar into the Gulf of Oman. The lack of a U.S. response thus far to the serious attacks gives weight to what Pentagon sources say will come next.

Multiple sources are reporting that officials in the Pentagon are strongly indicating that a resumption of the war is imminent. However, the resumption of combat operations will far surpass the power and violence rained down upon Iran since the initiation of hostilities on February 28. Three U.S. Navy supercarrier CSGs are now in the CENTCOM AOR (Lincoln, Ford and G.H.W. Bush) plus several thousand U.S. Marines, Airborne and Special Operations forces plus the inherent and significant increase of combat airpower. Israeli forces are also primed to resume their Operation Roaring Lion combat operations

The meaning here is that Trump's indefinite ceasefire probably does not indicate a long-term cessation but a finite extension of potentially very short duration in order to give the Twelver political echelon a chance to impose control over the IRGC.

24 April 2026: The U.S.-Iranian Twelver "negotiations" in Pakistan have taken a big hit because hardliners in the Ayatollah's inner circle and the IRGC have forced (former) lead negotiator Mohammed Bagher Ghalibaf to resign. Ghalibaf was also severely reprimanded by the inner circle over inclusion of the nuclear issue in negotiations with the US. His participation is likely the reason any progress was made in previous rounds. Regime hardliners and the Ayatollah's inner circle have clearly won the internal power struggle.

With Twelver hardliners in control there's no chance for a successful outcome, which explains why Vice President Vance has cancelled his plans to travel. President Trump now has his response from Tehran. 

UPDATE 25 April 2026: Iranian Twelver envoy Araghchi met with his Islamic brothers in Pakistan and delivered Tehran's "comprehensive response" to Trump's demands. He has since departed for chats in Muscat and Moscow. Meanwhile, Trump's envoys Witkoff and Kushner are still hours away from landing in Islamabad. Once arrived they'll receive the Twelver response - which is, essentially, there can be no further negotiations with the U.S., there is no nuclear issue, the SoH will remain closed and the U.S. and Israel owe the Twelver regime billions in war reparations. To say at this point that Trump has not been played like a fiddle by the Twelver regime would be a massive understatement. Trump's reaction is sure to be epic.

31 March 2026: An IRGC weapons depot in Esfahan (Isfahan) was utterly destroyed by several American 2,000lb bunker buster bombs recently. This is not the nuclear-related bunker struck previously at Esfahan.

The bunker that was struck this time, to great effect I might add, was imaged by satellite just prior to June 13, 2025. Subsequent analysis of the imagery revealed a large tractor-trailer hauling numerous secure blue-colored barrels since assessed to have contained over 1,000 lbs of 60% enriched HEU. Radiation leakage has not been detected and that may be due to the depth of the now collapsed bunker.

2 April 2026: As noted in my 10AM comment yesterday, the rump Twelver regime, which is now essentially the highest ranking surviving members of the IRGC, has zero intention of surrendering to the US and Israel. Instead they have doubled down and will continue the war by any and all means available to them for the forseeable future. They insist on the surrender of the US and Israel and billions in cash reparations to end the war. Like that's gonna happen!

That means calling on their allies in Yemen, Sudan, Lebanon and IRGC-QF sleeper cells around the world to attack as terrorists will attack any and all targets of opportunity. Hence my interpretation that Jeremiah 49:34-39 will persist in a process of fulfillment until the LORD God ends it on the mountains of Israel (Ezekiel 38-39). 

This isn't a "forever war" as some like to opine, but it is a war of significant duration (47 years and counting) yet which may well be brought to closure for the Bride of Christ by the trumpet-like voice of an archangel announcing the advent of our Harpazo.

FINAL UPDATE 20 April 2026: Eschatology Today assesses that the war against Iran and Hezbollah, representing radical Shi'a Islam, will continue imminently. The primary reason for this assessment is that nothing has been achieved in the stated objectives. 

In Lebanon, which is 100% a war between Israel and Hezbollah, the same interim result as in previous and limited IDF incursions into southern Lebanon is the current status quo. The above map reflects this. Since the U.S. is not at war with Hezbollah the declaration by President Trump that the war is over is not only grossly premature, but also patently absurd. It's not Trump's war to declare an end to nor dictate to the government of the State of Israel how it is conducted. In this situation one could rightly conclude that Trump believes Israel is a vassal state to the United States and its foreign policy is subject to his dictates.

In Iran the war has morphed into a virtually unrecognizable morass. As noted here previously it is war war nominally led by the American SECWAR and his commander in the field but conducted by unqualified businessmen and personal envoys of President Trump. It is being waged unlike any previous war that America has fought; it defies the conduct of an UNDECLARED war as a tool of the foreign policy oof the United States of America. It is also war being waged on the American president's social media platform, vice official White House communications channels. 

Also, whatever happened to the American and Israeli promise to the Iranian people that they'd soon have freedom, liberty and justice from the tyranny from the Shi'a Twelver regime, truly the Nazi's of the 21st century? Gone like yesterday's wind.

Prophetically speaking, the Iran war will conclude as the prophet Jeremiah has foretold or become the age-ending conflagration which sees the rise the of Antichrist as foretold in Daniel 11 by the angel Gabriel - at the appointed time.
