| Gaza's Unprecedented Bombardment |
UPDATED 27 October 2023: On the evening of the 21st day of the war IDF armor took up positions inside Gaza. This movement was preceded by the most intense bombardment to take place in Israel's 75 years. It came from the IAF, from Israeli naval forces offshore and from IDF tanks and mobile artillery. The IDF spokesman announced this expanded ground maneuver would take place as the IAF began pummeling the terrorist network of tunnels. With this action many are now watching to see if Hezbollah and IRGC-QF militias in Syria will join in full-scale warfare.

| The Coming Northern Warzone |
UPDATE 1 November 2023: Despite media reports to the contrary the Islamic Republic of Iran will set its proxy forces loose to open the northern front against Israel. These forces are composed of Hezbollah and IRGC-QF proxy Shi'a militias from Iraq. They are now staged near the front with Israel in a line that stretches from Quneitra to Nawa to Dara'a in southern Syria (see map above). The figurehead leader of Syria, Bashar al-Assad, is powerless to prevent the use of his rump nation, now a fully subjugated vassal state of the Iranian Twelvers in the assault upon northern Israel.
Many should recall that an agreement between Russia, Syria and Jordan to not allow Iranian forces or their proxies to encroach upon Jordan's border or within a certain distance of the UNDOF Zone on the Golan frontier with Israel. Apparently Russia feels it is now free to ignore than agreement having given Iran tacit permission to stage thousands of its proxy troops and their advanced equipment on this front. Yesterday, the MEMRI website published its Special Dispatch 10920 which contains many details with abundant footnotes. It is obvious that precursory to the opening of the Syrian front the attacks against US Coalition bases in recent days, warned about here for the past few weeks, have now approached at least 30 rocket, missile and drone attacks. US retaliation has occurred and will almost certainly continue with the recent buttressing of US and Coalition military forces in the region. Hezbollah's Hassan Nasrallah has announced he will issue and address, most likely on Friday of this week.

Hezbollah in Lebanon launched two rockets at Israel but the malfunctioned and fell in Syria. Nevertheless Israel promptly attacked Hezbollah.

ReplyDeleteSean, when I was in Iraq on the Iranian border several years ago under the Obama admin, it was very common to take rocket fire from Iran and we never retaliated. Considering he’s most likely the one running the administration, what is different about this time that would make us attack? I mean, I understand what is happening all around and that is most likely due to the threat of something much bigger. I just wonder aside from The Restrainer holding things back, why we’ve never really threatened Iran like we did this time.

Sean, my sister's husband introduced me to bible prophecy in late 1992 and even back then, some prophecies were writing some of the current events in the Middle East following the Gulf War. Prophecy ended up being my "hook" unto salvation by February 1993. So now I'm witnessing the unfolding of these prophecies that I've been waiting for over 30 years and it's incredible to realize that we were chosen to be here for this time to witness it all. Pretty humbling, IMHO.

Sean, thank you for saying that this war has been ongoing, a war in progress if we will. As I think about Amir Tsarfati's position that it was fulfilled in 1948 and as I watch what's happening today, it seems to me--as if my opinion counted for anything as I am not a scholar, theologian, former military or intelligence officer--that what we see is exactly what you describe. We don't let current events define Scripture--i.e. Scripture defines all for us--but they can certainly refine our view of it, in places explain it. So, as I too have considered the "current groups are not discrete nations" argument, it occurs that all these "militia" groups do represent current nations, and indeed are connected to and ordered by them. We are in a fluid, quickly moving prophetic time. Lots of moving parts, ones we can't always nail down and put into a box. But there can be no doubt Israel is in a multi-front war, as Scripture predicts, and that for the world as well, there is no going back. God will have His say, the Last Word. As we live in these times of amazing fulfillment may we hold fast to sound doctrine and hold loosely our pre-conceived ideas and teachings of exactly how everything will be defined and play out.

DeleteWe all know that nothing was 'fulfilled' in 1948 as can be seen 20/20 by historical hindsight. That view is clearly an egregious eschatological human error; as erroneous as the view that Psalm 83 is merely an acient imprecatory prayer by Asaph. The Holy Spirit imparts no, as in zero, errors in the interpretation of the Lord's prophetic word.
Proof of these errors are found in the Isaiah 11 and Ezekiel 28 prophesies which unambiguously indicate the situation or condition of Israel at the time of fulfillment, as does Ezekiel 38.
The prophetic scenario known on Eschatology Today as "The Psalm 83 War" IS a multifront war against Israel.

This war bad enough now, but this war will get much, much worse. This is the war the prophet Ezekiel prophesied (Ch.38) that Israel will have recovered from prior to Gog of Magog receiving hooks in his jaws.
In Gaza the Arab society is in the full-fledged process of collapse - people looting what food and essential supplies they can locate for survival because the enemies hoard those supplies for existential purposes, to avoid their own total collapse.
The IDF has drapped itself like wings over northern and southern Gaza exactly as the prophet Isaiah (Ch. 11:14) has foretold.
At this point, there's nothing more to be said from the perspective of one with four decades of military experience; everything to be said has been said.

Two fallout situations developing as a direct result of this expanding war. One is in Russia, particularly in the majority muslim North Caucasus region where anti-Jewish pogroms are occurring. The agitation to jihad against Jews could have a detrimental and destabilizing effect on the Russian Federation government as a whole, with "Gog of Magog" implications.

Report that Hezbollah's head Shi'a terrorist (Nasrallah) will speak on Friday. It might just be that his oration will signal the death of Lebanon.

DeleteYou have succinctly identified one of the goals - to get folks into the Word of God, and that leads to the inescapable understandings that Scripture provides about salvation only through Christ Jesus.
I find there's nothing 'minor' about the Spirit-led words of Amos, Obadiah and the others, they provide the details some folks may find essential to believe in and act upon the Lord's prophetic word. Many parts all working for a singular purpose, the saving of humanity by His grace. Just read it.

Haha that is very good humour and I'm convinced the Lord has an incredible sense of humour, I've experienced it this past week as the Lord has given me confirmation after confirmation that I am to go into full time ministry to study the Scriptures. I know we won't go through the 70th week and so am pre trib yet at the same time I don't think I want the Rapture happen today because I just went round my town today and seeing people going to a lost eternity because they don't know Jesus Christ. My country is in a mess, we have let in foreign gods and now this war shows the anti-Semitic problems we have at home, and it's all because we've cursed Israel since 1948. I have run a business up until now doing property surveys on homes and I see how people live with many living in their own filth- it's demonic. But now I'm realising that actually the Lord could turn things around in our nations where in this war we are the Allies once again like during WW2. My final comment here is to acknowledge that Israeli authorities have moved northern border residents a mere three miles (5 km) into Israel proper. About 500,000 Israeli citizens are now refugees in their God-given homeland.
ReplyDeleteThat is a serious chunk of an 8M pop nation. This will be politically difficult to sustain for an overly long time. I note Joshua 13:6 indicates by way of special mention, that God will personally drive out the Sidonians '...before the Israelites'. This sounds to me as something over and above the standing divine assistance / guardianship over Israel given by the Lord (i.e. Ps.83:13-15). This in turn may then lead into what has been discusssed earlier apropos of Ps.83:16-18. Bro. Steve
