7 January 2013: As a follow-up to SITREP B11-13: Psalm 83 and AQ in Iraq, it is only natural that attention be turned to the core of that prophecy as it relates to Israel and the threat posed to it by the numerous jihadist groups affiliated with Al Qaeda that are already making their presence felt throughout Judea and Samaria.
The affiliation of jihadist groups I am referring to here have nothing to do with HAMAS or any of the older, more well-known Palestinian terrorist groups such as Fatah or the PFLP-GC or even the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) which are tied at the hip to Alawite-controlled Damascus and the Shi'a mullahs of Iran. This affiliation goes directly to Al Qaeda who are currently enjoying a great resurgence and success in Syria and especially in Iraq. Their so-called "emirate" stretches from Aleppo in Syria to Falluja, which lies just about 20-some odd miles west of Baghdad International Airport.
As reported by Bill Gertz in his "Inside the Ring" column on 25 December, the recently retired Deputy Director of the CIA, Michael Morrell, reported to CBS News that the Al Qaeda-linked terrorist groups known as Al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham are the two most effective insurgent Sunni Islamist groups in that conflict and that he fears the jihadists groups linked to Al Qaeda will eventually take power in Syria. His fears are not unfounded. Indeed, it is known in US intelligence circles that Ayman al-Zawahri, Al Qaeda's No. 1, has his man sitting at the top of the Ahrar al-Sham leadership. It not should go without saying that the former Deputy Director of the CIA fears this despite knowing all too well that the opposing Shi'a forces of Hezbollah and the IRGC are operating against them in Syria and from next door in Lebanon. This is important and must be taken into account in any assessment of the unfolding situation in the Levant and in Iraq, as well as the potential for it to spread into Jordan and the threat it will ultimately pose to Israel in the very near-term.
But what threat does Al Qaeda pose to Israel beyond that of the aforementioned longstanding terrorist groups? Well, one has to take into account the origin of Al Qaeda as founded by Osama bin Laden, and exactly who his mentor and inspirational teacher was. That man was Abdullah Yusuf Azzam, a Palestinian, who is known as the "father of the global jihad." Azzam was born in 1941 just outside of Jenin in northern Samaria. At the age of 26 Abdullah Azzam was teaching and preaching jihadist Islam at the local mosque in the village of Silat al-Harithiya until the IDF conquest of June 1967. And the rest is history as this man was the inspiration for the creation of Al Qaeda, the "base" of Islamic jihadism in the world.
Besides being Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahri's mentor and inspirational sage, Abdullah Azzam is the name-sake of the Lebanon, Jordan and Gaza-based Abdullah Azzam Brigades (AAB) terrorist sub-units which I believe are becoming a major terrorist concern for Israel as well as for the Palestinian Authority who they view as weak and ineffectual in the cause of the jihad. I believe it is the Al Qaeda-linked AAB which has been a key but largely unheralded player in the recent surge of terrorist activity in Judea and Samaria. The AAB's sub-units are engaged in current combat operations in Lebanon against Hezbollah, the IRGC and the Iranian Embassy itself. They are operating with the aforementioned Al Qaeda terrorist groups in Syria against a coalition of Bashar al-Assad's government forces, Hezbollah and the IRGC. They are making their presence felt also in Judea, Samaria and Gaza; they will lash out at PA security forces as quickly as they will Israelis. The AAB are truly the rabid dogs of Islamic jihadism.
Now that I've given the current Middle East wars in both micro and macroscopic views, it's time to tie this in with Psalm 83. Asaph names for us all of the peoples and regions of Israel's enemies, the ancient hatred that has manifested since the rebirth of Israel in 1948. The one enemy group which is active in all of these places is Al Qaeda and their various affiliates. And what does Asaph tell us of these enemies? He says in verse two that they, above all else, are the enemies of YHWH God; that they hate YHWH God. And who is the god of Islam? And who is it that wages war against Him and His chosen people? The jihadists of Islam whose modern-day father was born in Jenin, Samaria. Therefore, I submit that Islamic jihad is the final manifestation, the final ideological basis of consulting and conspiracy of agenda to destroy the State of Israel and the chosen of God. And according to Asaph it will be the undoing and perishing of Islam that will be accomplished. The jihadists of Islam will come to know that their god is a false god, that YHWH is the One true God, or they will be swept from the field of battle and from existence, "like chaff before the wind."
......and exactly how dominant in al-Qaeda in Jordan? I ask this because Jordan turning on Israel seems to be the last piece for the complete fulfillment of psalm 83. I would also like to ask about the so called "Palestinians", because a lot of people, mostly people on the internet and you tube who I give little heed to anyway, have in my opinion jumped the gun and suspect that when these peace talks fail.......and they already have in my opinion, a war may break out and could possibly be the psalm 83 war. Personally I don't see that happening quite yet mostly because of Jordan, which again I ask how dominant is al-Qaeda in Jordan
ReplyDeletehartdawg asks:
ReplyDelete"How dominant is Al Qaeda in Jordan?"
Do you know that the basic tenet of those who are part of Al Qaeda or one of its dozens upon dozens of affiliated terrorist groups is known as Salafism?
Salafism is the lifeblood of what we call Al Qaeda. It is literal, fundamentalist Islam defined, and in the Kingdom of Jordan fundamentalist Salafist belief is the common denominator among those are not secular or apostate Muslims.
Since 2011 Salafism has been and remains the clearest and most present danger to the rule of King Abdullah II of Jordan that exists. Jordanian Salafi Jihadists now fighting in pitched land warfare against the Syrian Alawites and Shi'a of Hezbollah in Syria will upon their return to Jordan turn their attention to overthrowing King Abdullah's government which they view as "corrupt puppets of the Crusader US and Britain and peacemakers with Zionist pigs and apes."
How dominant is Al Qaeda in Jordan is not the question. The question is how rampant or widespread are Salafi Islamic beliefs among the poor population of Jordan. As I recently wrote in a letter to our brothers in Christ, "Many of my fellow Americans know well about Al Qaeda, yet at the same time they have not the slightest clue about fundamentalist Salafi Islam. They see the river before them, yet know not the source of its current."
Sean,
ReplyDeleteI don't generally pay much attention to the left wing media, but last night NBC's nightly news anchor blamed Bush for the violence in Iraq!
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/kyle-drennen/2014/01/07/nbc-bush-blame-security-vacuum-iraq-created-obamas-troop-withdrawal
The left's delusional bubble is even greater than I imagined! How do people still watch this crap?
Mark,
ReplyDeleteNeither do I because its the same rubbish over and over and over again. Different guises every now and then, but its all the same old pap.
The blaming of George 'Dubya' Bush for Islamic jihadi violence in 2014 Iraq is proof positive that "Bush Derangement Syndrome" lives on in the 6th year since he left his office in the White House. It is truly a mental illness of the highest order.
Obviously, they have nothing else to fall back on, and this is besides the point that the American left coddles jihadists at every opportunity.
Same goes for Israel. Same difference. So very predictable. So very pathetic. Pray for them always.

ReplyDelete"Mark, I would refer you to Global SITREP B 11-13, in the comment section I mentioned to Sean that some liberal minded people here in Seattle said pretty much the same thing. I really like the facts that he posted in response. To be totally honest, I'm shocked that Sean believed it because the logic, or lack thereof, is so insane that if I hadn't heard it myself I wouldn't believe the insanity."
I'm re-posting my response to hartdawg, because it also applies to what Mark mentioned regarding delusional American leftists. There's an addendum following the re-post.
ReplyDelete"hartdawg,
Those thoroughly doped-up Seattle libs know absolutely nothing about the history of America and Sunni Islam (Saudi Arabia is the heart of Sunni Islam). Zip, nada, nothing.
They are utterly oblivious to the fact that a Christian missionary doctor, Dr. Peter Harrison, of the Dutch Reformed Church got America, above all other nations of the earth, into the front tent flap with the House of Al-Saud because he personally saved the life of Ibn Saud, the King of Nejd and Hijaz as Saudi Arabia was known prior to 1932, from a severe case of facial cellulitis in 1923. he was invited to perform this treatment after having saved the lives of several of his soldiers due to gunshot wounds suffered in a skirmish on the Persian Gulf. Thereafter Ibn Saud trusted Americans more than he did the British.
These non-partisan, apolitical American Christian actions opened the door and eventually led to the face-to-face meeting between Democrat President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and King Ibn Saud of Saudi Arabia onboard the USS Quincy on 14 February 1945. This meeting between a Democrat US president and Ibn Saud laid the basis for US-Saudi relations that continued unchanged until the recent actions of radical Leftist Democrat Barack Hussein Obama."
Addendum: In the late 1930s as King Ibn Saud was consolidating his newly won kingdom (by the sword of conquest laid upon other muslims, of course) on the Arabian Peninsula, he made the Salafi teaching of Muhammad Ibn Abd al-Wahhab (a/k/a Wahhabism) the official state religion of the newly created Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Salafi Wahhabism came into being 1,160 years (circa 1790 AD) after Islam was founded by Muhammed, and his wife's uncle Waraka Ibn Nawfal in 630 AD.
This is who, what, when, how, why and where regarding the 7th Century Islamic terrorism we are dealing with today on a global scale came back into existence. It blossomed once again in the pre-1967 West Bank environs of Jenin, and grew to maturity fighting the Soviets in 1980s Afghanistan and revealed itself upon American soil on 26 February 1993, 11 September 2001 (WTC attacks I and II), 7 May 2007 (Ft. Dix Six Plot) and 5 November 2009 (Ft. Hood Massacre).
To this day our Government is in abject denial of the existential threat that the Salafi Wahhabi teaching of Islam poses to our way of life.
20 years after the fact (26 FEB 1993 to 26 FEB 2013) and it has not yet dawned upon the American government that 45 years of 'Cold War', the expenditure of billions of dollars, and the thousands of young American lives that were sacrificed in the fight against the Russian Soviets and their communist ideology were a worthwhile endeavor. Our government behaves as if the more insidious enemy of Islamic ideology is not worth the same total effort.
That is what is truly not believable.
Seems like Al-Qaeda is strong in ancient Assur territory northern Iraq and Syria. (Psalms 83:8) Al-Qaeda flags are flown in the Gebal region (Psalms 83:7)Tripoli, Lebanon. Al-Qaeda set off a bomb near the Iranian embassy in Beirut, Lebanon (Psalms 83:7) Tyre territory. Al-Qaeda is friends with Hamas in the Philistine territory of Gaza. (Psalms 83:7) Al-Qaeda has forces in Amalek territory in the Sinai. (Psalms 83:7) Al-Qaeda is there in the Sinai killing Egyptian troops.
ReplyDeleteAl-Qaeda does not appear to be in the Jordanian area of the Hagarenes, Edom, Moab and Ammon. (Psalms 83:6-7)
Is there a possibility Al-Qaeda in Western Iraq Anbar province will swing westward and attack Jordan?
Its seems like the Psalms 83 forces are lining up towards a future war which may happen in 2014 should Israel destroy Iranian nuclear plants by this summer.
Yup, that is definitely the gist of what I've been saying for a while now in these posts.
