Global SITREP D8-16: About the Fulfillment of Ezekiel 38/39...

UPDATE 25 October 2016: Yes, this post has now become a SITREP in its own right. Here's why. It is no surprise to many of us that there are some prophecy teachers expressing their view of late that the ancient prophecy of Ezekiel 38/39 is about to occur. These teachers proclaim such teaching without any consideration whatsoever for the fulfillment necessity of Psalm 83, Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28:24-26 being in a position of sequential prophetic precedence.

These teachers are also completely overlooking the current real-world and very salient fact that there exists great opposition, which could translate into actual combat, between Turkish and Iranian forces in Northern Iraq. The Sunni dictatorship that has manifest itself in Turkey since the abortive coup d'etat of this past summer stands in direct opposition to the Iranian Shi'a Hojjatieh clerical dictatorship ruling in Tehran. More simply put, Turkey and Iran are enemies at war with each other in Syria and Iraq.

Eschatology Today would very much appreciate an in-depth addressing of this specific issue by these prophecy teachers, if not simply because such an exercise would affirm and apprise them of the absolute necessity of the Psalm 83 scenario's sequential prophetic precedence.

16 October 2016: There is something fairly important to mention with respect to the prophecy of Ezekiel 38/39. This is something a great many prophecy teachers fail to mention, especially when so many of them are teaching that Ezekiel 38/39 is next on the prophetic fulfillment 'line of succession.' This post is to inform and correct the incorrect teaching that is occurring.

Ezekiel's prophecies have been arranged, for the most part, in a chronological order.  The chronology of the invasion coming out of the northernmost parts led by Gog of Magog commences with the LORD God making a spoken and unalterable command: "And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel that My fury will show in My face. For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken!"

And there occurs "in that day," prior to the judgment a great shaking earthquake in the land of (post-Psalm 83 'greater') Israel. Every living thing on the earth, including the fish of the sea, will feel the presence of the LORD God in this great shaking earthquake. Mountains will fall.

This tectonic activity is meant to get the attention of the entire world focused the land of Israel. You, the reader, are to make special notice of this - the focus is upon the land of Israel, not on Syria, but on Israel!

The great shaking of the land of Israel also very effectively announces that a great judgment from the LORD God is about to fall upon Gog of Magog and all of his forces. The specific judgment has been foretold, and so when it happens there is no mistake make about who the judgment is from and why it has fallen upon those who are smitten by it.

Moreover, this great judgment is six-fold; the number six being the number of man and his imperfection. And the six-fold judgments that will fall upon Gog and all his forces are:

1. pestilence,
2. bloodshed,
3. flooding rain,
4. great hailstones,
5. fire,
6. brimstone.

Gog of Magog and all of the invading forces under his command die in this six-fold judgment. Not one-sixth or five sixths as some teach, but ALL of the invaders die when this very special judgment befalls them, and they fall dead upon the mountains of Israel.

So how will the entire planet know that the so-called 'Battle of Gog of Magog' is about to occur? When it is announced by the LORD God through the great shaking earthquake in the land of Israel!

UPDATE 19 October 2016: Attribution of the above images belongs to The Long War Journal. They depict Russian officers of the 18th Guards Motor Rifles Division posing with and pinning battlefield awards on members of the several hundreds strong Palestinian terrorist militia known as Liwa al-Quds, or the Army of Jerusalem, or simply the Quds Brigade.

The long-term goal of the Quds Brigade, which is made up of Sunni Arab Palestinians with Russian troops embedded as advisors, is to 'liberate' Jerusalem and all of Israel. The Sunni Palestinians are directly involved in the slaughter of civilian and rebel Sunni Arabs in Aleppo, Syria, many of whom were previously their neighbors. The awards and recognition by Russian officers was due to the Quds Brigade's battlefield actions in the liberation of the Handarat Palestinian Refugee Camp north of Aleppo during late September and earlier this month.

These images and others clearly illustrate how deeply Russia has embedded itself in the Syrian Civil War, as well as in the long-term goals of Palestinian militia which are determined to wage war upon Israel (Psalm 83, Isaiah 11:14, Ezekiel 28:24-26). If there was ever a direct link between the current war in Syria and the coming final fulfillment of Psalm 83, and the prophecy of Ezekiel 38/39 these images and the very recent history behind them are it.

With the above declaration by God and the last verse of Eze 38
23“Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.” ’

During the 70th week, this would be a great witness after the world witnesses the catching away of the bride.

Such a powerful posting and right on time! No foreign aid to provide Israel's defense, no excuses as to the exclusive essential ONENESS of God. Oh, I wish I could get to church and shout this until the foundations shake and trembles.

Thank you for making my day so much brighter.

Sean, I been meaning to ask you this for awhile, here it is
Russia and here allies are acting very aggressively and are all but positioned to fulfill Ezekiel 38&39 yet psalm 83 remains to be finally fulfilled. Do you think that something is going to happen to really set Russia back a few years, or is Russia still far from being positioned to fulfill Ezekiel 38&38?
Also, I need prayer, I have an abcessed tooth and the whole left side of my face is swollen and I'm in massive pain.

jmoll106 said...

Sean, I'm glad you emphasized ALL in Eze 39:2. Through the years you are only the second person that I have read that brings out this truth.

Who was the first person? Credit is due to that person for speaking truth.

He said it was a mistranslation of verse 2 not found in Hebrew text.

39:2 "leave the sixth part" is an ancient Hebrew idiom meaning 'annihilation.'

In other words, there are no survivors of the LORD God's judgment upon the would-be invaders.

The rule of nations is coming to an end. All nations and people are moving toward an encounter with the Lord God. God has been longsuffering ant patient, but His wrath is coming, swift and severe. Hopefully people who read blogs like this who have not yet given their allegiance to Jesus will do so quickly that they might know God's mercy instead of His wrath.
The ending of Eze. 39 I pray will be soon for Israel.

29‘And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,’ says the Lord GOD.”

Excellent Sean!

And after the Lord has unmistakably again shown Himself to be God, it won't take long before Israel and the world will turn again "towards Egypt" and follow the AC (from the Roman empire).

Proving yet again that even "if someone were to raise from the dead" or even miraculously blow up armies, Israel and the world still will not believe (except momentarily).

Lord, may seeds that have been planted take root into a saving relationship with your Son. Amen.

Just wondering about USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) still in Gulf of Arabia?

Yes, I agree that Ezekiel 38/39 is in site with Russia deep in this conflict.

I wake everyday wondering what is NEXT in prophecy.

My apologies for the one-week late reply here, but know that prayers for your swift recovery have been offered many times over the past week.

I was unsure if yours was a real question, or if your intent was to create another teaching moment about the prophetic sequence. So, a teaching moment it will be...

Everyone who reads this:

Do not be misled by those who are teaching (such as Amir Tsarfati and JD Farag, among others) that Ezekiel 38/39 is the next prophetic fulfillment.

This has been discussed numerous times here -- and is repeated once again --

1.) At a minimum - and according to Ezekiel 39:11-16 specifically - Israel must be in possession of western Jordan BEFORE Ezekiel 38/39 takes place.

2.) Israel is also right now NOT in a position of peace, safety and security at this time. This is due to the very enemies currently in Judea, Samaria, Gaza, Lebanon and western Jordan who will all be soundly and forevermore defeated in the Psalm 83, Isaiah 11:14 and Ezekiel 28:24-26 fulfillments.

3.) Israel's pre-Ezekiel 38/39 peace, safety and security becomes manifest AFTER the Psalm 83 scenario has been fulfilled.

hartdawg said...

Teaching moment it was intended to be, particularly because many people hold their favorite teacher in such high regards that in their minds their teacher cannot make mistakes,especially JD. As for my tooth, I got it pulled a few days ago. Praying now for a speedy recovery. I still have one question tho, how powerful is Russia at this current time?

Sean Osborne said...

At present the Russian government is very well aware, and have so stated in Russian-language media, that they would be soundly defeated in any conflict with the US and/or its military Coalition in the Middle East at the present time.

Excellent Sean!

Some well respected teachers (i.e. Dr Ice) claim that there is no prophecy in Ps 83 however there is Definitely Prophecy in Ps 83:

Asaph in Psalm 83 specifically prophesies that the surrounding nations would “For they have consulted together with one consent; They form a confederacy against You”.

This has never happened in the past that these nations ever all conspired together. 1948/49, 1967 were pretty close but not close enough for a final fulfillment of scripture. Asaph prayed that these surrounding nations that would be planning on destroying Israel would in turn be destroyed themselves.

It looks like Asaph’s prayer is pretty effective as per the following prophetic scriptures: (And Nobody claims Jer, Zep, Zec were not prophets...)

Edom = Southern Jordan.....(Psalms 83:6) --> Jer 49:18 ..no one shall remain
Moab = Central Jordan….....(Psalms 83:6) --> Zep 2:9 ..perpetual desolation
Ammon = Northern Jordan....( Psalms 83:7) --> Zep 2:9 ..perpetual desolation
Hagarenes = Eastern Jordan....(Psalms 83:6)
Philistines = Gaza..........(Psalms 83:7) --> Zep 2:5 .. no inhabitant
Gebal = northern Lebanon .. (Psalms 83:7) --> Zec 9:4 ..devoured by fire.
Tyre = southern Lebanon .. (Psalms 83:7) --> Zec 9:4 ..devoured by fire.
Assur = northern Syria..... (Psalms 83:8) --> Zep 2:13 .. destroy Assyria
Assur = northern Iraq...... (Psalms 83:8) --> Zep 2:13 .. destroy Assyria
Amalek = the Sinai........ (Psalms 83:7) --> Jer 49:18 ..no one shall dwell in it.

The Fates of these Ps 83 nations include terms of “perpetual desolation” and “no inhabitant” are enough to take our breath away. From these terms we know none of these Fates have been fully executed in history so therefore they are still in the future.

No doubt about it.

The first act of the Psalm 83 scenario was the 10-month war of 1948-49 between the entire Arab League, plus a few other Islamic participants, against Israel. Skirmishing actually began in November 1947.

This is key to understanding the Eschatology Today interpretive position that the Psalm 83 scenario has been in a very active process of fulfillment for the past 68 years, and why it is expected to conclude circa 2018 (its 70th year).

I know I should know this and please forgive me for asking but where do the
scriptures say that Israel will possess all the land that was promised to
Abraham, the Levant? And where is it that the Bible tells us it is the
greater Israel when Gog comes to take their spoil/oil? I have been scouring
Psalm 83 and the book of Ezekiel but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

hartdawg said...

If Psalm 83 was the only passage, I MIGHT question whether it was a prophecy or a prayer,but we also have Obadiah, Ezekiel 25 and Zephaniah chapter 2 all mentioning the SAME NATIONS, all mentioning destruction and all mentioning it being close to the day of the Lord. These passages more than prove that Psalm 83 is a prophecy. Are there any more passages about Psalm 83 that I did not include in this list?

Sean Osborne said...

You forgot to include Joshua 13. (Lebanon)

Sean Osborne said...

Genesis 12:1-3 is the Covenant;
Psalm 24:1 and Psalm 135:6 are the Lord's Authority for the Covenant and all things He does;
Genesis 15:6 provides the time-frame reference and a why;
Deuteronomy 9:4 provides the remainder of the why;
Genesis 15:18-21 is the Divine title deed to the delineated Promised Land.

And one more time I point to Ezekiel 39:11-16 as the text which specifies that Israel is in possession of western Jordan, east of the Jordan River and the Dead Sea, when the hordes of the Magog Confederation make their attempt.

NOTE: At this present time, recognized as either 2016 AD or 5777, Israel IS NOT in possession of any land west of the Jordan River or Dead Sea.

Therefore the fully-studied and fully competent Bible prophecy teacher MUST conclude and teach to his students or his congregation that the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38/39 CANNOT HAPPEN AT THE PRESENT TIME.

A prophecy of the Lord does not come to fulfillment until ALL of the established conditions for the fulfillment of that prophecy have been met.

Sean Osborne said...

Randall B you provides us with solid Scripture references on the scale of the coming fulfillment of what I refer to as "the Psalm 83 Scenario."

This is necessary, as i think most folks don't understand the scope or scale of the final fulfillment.

It's not just the end of HAMAS in Gaza, or of Fatah in Judea and Samaria. Israel's armed forces go much further afield against these enemies. It's all in Scripture.

Thank you Sean, hartdawg and Randall. That bothered me not knowing where to
find that information. I have a friend that ends her correspondences with
Watch the Lamb ~ Walk in Victory. I told her I'm adopting those words because
they express precisely what we should be doing.

Ezekiel 37:14
 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord
and verse 21
 “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land.

Ezekiel 28:25
 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “When I have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and am hallowed in them in the sight of the Gentiles, then they will dwell in their own land which I gave to My servant Jacob.

Israel is NOT yet in possession of their own land given to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Aren't there passages in Isaiah and Jeremiah that describe the exact Psalm 83 war? And if Psalm 2, Psalm 22 and a number of other Psalms prophecy, then why not Psalm 83?
