This teaching will give you new understanding that the Greek word Apostasia is not referring to the apostasy or the apostate church of these last days, but instead and correctly to the physical departure of the bride (body) of Christ (the true Church of Christ) in the event we've long known here as the Harpazo, and also as the Rapture, and in the Hebrew Old Testament as Laqach.
This is not baby's milk teaching. No, this is real meat and potatoes sustenance teaching about the Word and the how and why there is to this day confusion over the meaning of this particular verse that Paul was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write.

DeleteIt was a blessing, Sean, as confirmation of the position I came to years ago through the articles and teaching of Dr. Tommy Ice. 2 Thess. 2:3 speaks of the harpazo, not apostasy of the church.

ReplyDeleteSean had talked about the departure and not apostasy years ago in a Sitrep and this was the conclusion. Why I brought up Dr. Woods teaching on this was his research into how the meaning changed through history by scholars.
I certainly hope it will bless any who are still seeking the truth in this matter.

DeleteI can't see how apostasy would fit in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 when apostasy has been in the church since the very beginning. It can't be any sort of sign for that reason. What good is a sign that has been present for 2000 years?

That was a great teaching from Dr. Woods. I changed my mind on the passage from reading a paper Dr Thomas Ice did years ago like Shelley B stated. It just makes perfect sense and pulls the whole chapter together.

ReplyDeleteThere are reports coming out on MSM that will attempt to portray Trump as "unhinged" at the end of 2020. They will also attempt to portray the "woke" Gen. Milley as an American savior during this period of time.
The truth is exactly the opposite. It was the Left, led by Milley and Pelosi, who launched the coup d'etat against President Trump and the U.S. Constitution.
In fact Milley's actions during this period, including secret dealings with the CCP PLA, were nothing short of treason against his CInC and his own Oath.
What is not going to be reported is the Russian threat to "attack and destroy" any new or expanded facilities in Central Asia following the massive strategic blunder in the surrender of Afghanistan by the Biden Administration.

Altogether it's like a scene or a fictional news reel from one of the Rapture films made in the 1990's --- with one BIG difference --- this is all very real and taking place today all over the world. Chaotic is an understatement!
This is indeed the correct teaching by Dr Woods. I studied this 2 years ago and he has a great sermon series on youtube about this verse to join his book teaching you can find called "The Falling Away: Spiritual Departure or Physical Rapture?: A Second Look at 2 Thessalonians 2:3." Search the same in youtube and you will see his sermon series that supports the book and vice versa. Sean is also right about Laqach, the very word used in 2 Kings 2 when all the prophets know that Elijah is about to be "taken away." A old testament typology of the rapture as he was literally raptured. The Hebrew is Strong's 3947. In the Hebrew right to left we have the Lamed, the Qof, and the Het. The Lamed is the tallest letter and in Hebrew signifies a Shepherd's Staff and was used to goad the sheep. The idea here is to perform a change or action. The Lamed is known as the heart of knowledge, connecting to the word "lamad" in Deuteronomy 4:1 which means "teaching." The Qof symbolizes the sun on the horizon and is the combination of both the Zayin and the Resh. The Zayin is a vav with a crown on it's head. The resh is a "God Man" or "leader." So the Qof is interesting, does it show a leader going up? Interestingly, following the proto Hebrew scripts that have changed throughout the Qof originally was horizontal before it was turned right side up to form a more vertical letter. This is why is is seen as the letter that is a sun rising. The Het is "life." The reason is you have a Vav and a Zayin again but on the top of the letter forms a horizontal line as a bridge. The Bridge of life. So what we have here is a Hebrew word that perhaps means "The Shepherd God brings life."
ReplyDeleteTo be very clear, there is nothing to be dogmatic about here, this is the Hebrew language and how it works, it is a pictographically language and it is why translations into the English are sometimes lacking because pictures tell a story of interpretation so the trick is bringing that story into the english language where letters form words. Its a long way of saying that there is more going on here than we understand. What we do know is that the typology for the rapture is everywhere and I believe the departure of this verse in Thessalonians is absolutely the rapture like Dr Woods and Sean says. Without question.

I've never said this before, but I've suspected that the gematria of the 666 name in Hebrew would have a pictographic meaning that the wise will understand and communicate.

ReplyDeleteI have been somewhat perplexed at "how" this pandemic falls into Bible prophesy. Here is what i mean. The potential for our fully vaxed friends and family members (who are Christian...and this includes my own kids) to be getting sick and dying in the coming months/years is heart-breaking (ie., Dr Cole's link). I feel that "but for" our God intervening, men's hearts will fail. I know Jesus pours His wrath out on those left behind in the Rapture, so my take is that we have to be very, very close to being taken up in the Blessed Hope, as many may start dying or getting cancer, etc. It would seem that the evildoers plotting this genocide on mankind would have the upper hand in demolishing society (Christians included), but for God. Man is NOT in control. Just wondering your take on this. LD
