3 September 2016: Signs. I remember the early 70's hit song and AM radio staple by the Five Man Electrical Band. This tune's time on the airwaves was concurrent with when the Holy Spirit was moving very powerfully across this country; so-called "Jesus Freaks" were suddenly appearing everywhere, and eschatological books like Salem Kirban's '666' and Hal Lindsey's 'The Late, Great Planet Earth' were introducing Bible prophecy to millions upon millions of Americans. And the refrain of that song, "Sign, sign, everywhere a sign" took on a new, and more accurate, meaning for that time and those which followed to this very day.
Fast forward forty-six years to the present. The signs continue, and then as now, they're all pointing, like the image above, in the exact same direction. They're all pointing to Daniel's 70th Week, or as I like to call it, The Prophetic Road to The Revelation of Jesus Christ. And in this time, as never before, expectations of the call that will precede the Harpazo are more profound than they have ever been. This is because at least half of the wise bride of Christ, like the five of the ten virgins Jesus spoke of in the Matthew 25 parable, have their lamps oiled and trimmed and awaiting the midnight call, "Behold, the Bridegroom comes; go out to meet Him!"
That's the ultimate sign, to be sure, but the other signs are everywhere if we're looking for them as well; if we're watching as instructed by our Lord. "So you also, when you see all these things know that He is near...at the doors!"
And the signs are like birth pangs, ever increasing in frequency and intensity. Wars and rumors of wars are documented on this blog in abundance. The scarcity of food to feed the world's 6 billion people increases with each passing day. Disease is rampant around the world; Zika and other viruses are known and feared by virtually every living soul on the planet. Seismic activity is also at unprecedented levels across the globe. Floods, from India to Louisiana, are as catastrophic as ever; as are the roaring and tossing of the world's oceans. And these signs will only increase going forward through the time remaining.
And other signs are more subtle. These are the ones you really have to look at closely to see, but they also are in very great abundance. For example, with regards to the eschatological interpretation, Eschatology Today views Ezekiel 38/39 in terms of Russia and Iran. Yet few are aware that these two nations have never been military allies as they are today. A little over a century ago the Russian Czar was completing his military conquest of the Central Asian territories, like Turkmenistan, which the Shah of Persia considered to be within his own realm. Today we see the emergent Russian Federation-Shi'ite Iran Axis, or the Ezekiel 38/39 Magog military confederation in other words.
The Emergent Magog Confederation In-Depth
The Russia-Iran Axis is largely the result of a very influential 54-year old Russian ultra-nationalist Bolshevik political scientist by the name of Alexandr Gelyevich Dugin. Alexandr Dugin's influence reaches deep inside the Kremlin and Russian military. He espouses Eurasianism, a key cornerstone in Vladimir Putin's vision for his nascent Eurasian Union, again, a/k/a the Magog confederation of eastern European Russia combined with former-Soviet Central Asian countries and Iran. Alexander Dugin is in tune with the Hojjatieh Shi'a imams in Iran in that he also calls of all-out war to "hasten the end times." If you look carefully you can see Alexandr Dugin's influence as the strategic underpinning for every one of Vladimir Putin's military moves of the past eight years. Moves such as the Russian military reconquest of the southern Caucasus (Georgia), the invasion and conquest of Ukrainian Crimea, and of Eastern, Russian-speaking Ukraine itself. As we know from Ezekiel, Russia will not be stopping with the military reclamation of its former empire; it and its allies have an appointment with God on the mountains of Israel.
This Russia-Iran alliance is not quite one-year old, but it has progressed with an extreme rapidity. In late September 2015 an agreement was reached between Russia, Iran and Syria within the strategic alliance of the Syrian Civil War and the war against the Islamic State. The war in Syria is understood within Eschatology Today as the process of near-term fulfillment for Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49:23-27. In the past year the Russia-Syria-Iran Axis expanded to include the Shi'ite-led government of Iraq and Iran's Lebanese proxy Hezbollah.
The effects of the coup d'etat in Turkey which occurred only weeks ago and its fallout continue to have reverberations in the Middle East and beyond, particularly within the currently leaderless NATO. This is all a very critical real-time sign that not all seismic events are terrestrial, they are also political and they cause real changes we can only speculate about until they fully play themselves out. However, what can be seen as the driving force within Russia right now and into the foreseeable future contains powerful hints that the Lord's prophetic hooks will be readily accepted by a nation with an overwhelming warlike intent. Ezekiel 38/39 will not be a long, drawn-out war as some interpret. I believe it will be a blitzkrieg of unrestrained warfare, including nuclear weapons, which is quickly and miraculously concluded. On the other side of it waits the 70th Week and the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ok sean, since where on the subject of signs, especially the birth pangs that you mentioned, I'm hearing more and more talk about the church and the rapture being absolutely nowhere in Matthew 24 and 25, yet I'm seeing warnings of immenancy all over those passages. I know that you mentioned this before, but what's the best way to answer those who say that? I always simply go by what the scriptures say, but what are your thoughts? These are people who I mostly agree with on most points, except for this one.
ReplyDeleteThe picture above is a great visual of all the signs we are witnessing.
ReplyDeleteI definitely don't want Jesus saying to us what he said to the two on their way to the village called Emmaus in
Luke 24:25 Then he (Jesus) said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken.
Let's keep pressing on!
hartdawg,
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of teachers who will say that the Harpazo is nowhere to be found in Matthew 24-25; that the "Olivet Discourse" is about and for Israel in the 70th Week.
This teaching is the source of one of the longest running arguments I know of.
I take the view that Jesus was speaking directly to the first Christians - His disciples - who took that message after the Day of Pentecostand taught it (Matthew, Mark and Luke especially) through their Gospels. Matthew was written for a Jewish readership, but Mark and Luke were written to the Gentiles.
Since Jesus gave this prophecy to the first members of the church, i.e. the first of the bride of Christ, how can it therefore not be a relevant teaching for us? So, of course it is for us, and it also is for Israel. Was Jesus unaware that what He was doing on the Mount of Olives at that time would be carried into the formation of the church fifty days after His resurrection? Of course He was aware; He was and is God incarnate in all His omniscience.
The arguments of some against this are the equivalent of saying that the whole of the Old Testament has no relevance to the bride of Christ. Of course the whole of the word of God is relevant to us, simply because it is the word of God.
Matthew 24-25 have parallels in Daniel 9:24-27 and Revelation 6 thru 19. Does it matter if the Greek word "harpazo" does not appear in these two chapters? I don't think so, because since the Olivet is about the 70th Week the bride of Christ will have already been taken in the Harpazo. This is why, as I think about this, the direct references to the Harpazo are found elsewhere in prophetic Scripture, like John 14:1-4, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. it is also why the Harpazo is shown in Revelation 4 and the 70th Week begins with Revelation 6.
When the dominoes fall there's a specific sequence to their falling. The second and third dominoes won't fall until the first is toppled to commence the sequence of their falling.
I think most of the teachers who use those arguments are hyper dispensationalist.
DeleteSean, I also like Luke chapter 21, paying particular observation to the words "they" and "your".
ReplyDeleteGooday Sean,
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying your updates, with the sense that we are forever on the cusp of history. I was introduced to Hal Linsey's work in the 80s and never really took any of its warnings seriously. Thirty years later, the whole fabric of society and the complexion of world affairs are very different beasts and those signs that the Bible foretold are suddenly appearing with increasing frequency. Who would have thought, for instance, that the Soviets and the Iranians would have a unified purpose? Back in the 80s, the Islamics would have loathed the godless Soviets. Now the two have common goals with respect to the future of territories abutting Israel, a mere spitting distance from where the two will meet their fate.
This time around, I'm a lot more interested in what those signs mean. With no wish to sound like a sycophant, I am very grateful for your blog and appreciate your wisdom and insights.
I have one question for you this morning. What sort of time lag do you think there might be between the end of the destruction of Gog and Magog's forces and the start of the 70th week?
As always, best regards,
Darrin
Darrin,
ReplyDeleteGood question and I hope the answer I have is up to the task of answering it fully.
I believe in the literalness of Psalm 90:10.
"The days of our lives are seventy years;
And if by reason of strength they are eighty years,
Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow;
For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Jesus spoke of one Jewish generation which would not pass away before witnessing all things prophetic take place. A 70 to 80 year span of time defines this generation of which Jesus spoke.
In that, I see Israel's founding in a single day in 1948 (in literal fulfillment of Isaiah 66:8) as a sort of start date of an end times calendar. Israel is the Lord's timepiece, everything is calibrated to it.
2018 marks the 70th year of Israel's modern existence; it is also the 10th Shemittah in a unbroken succession of Shemittah years for Israel. Both of these have a Spiritual significance in my view, and that makes 2018 an important year for Israel. I expect MAJOR prophetic events to be unfold in and around that year, and which we currently are within 15 months of reaching.
I also see that the Lord's calendar is one of 360-day years, meaning His time scale and ours are not in sync with each other. On this note the days are literally shortened for the sake of the elect.
So, from 2018 to 2028, which is a 10-year span from the 70th to the 80th year, I would expect all things to become fulfilled, including Jesus Second Coming to establish His Kingdom on this earth. 2028 minus the finite 7 years of the 70th Week brings us back to 2021, five years from now.
Given the details of the burying and burning of the Magog horde in Israel east of the Dead Sea, I believe the 70th Week commencement with the Antichrist's confirming of a 'covenant among many' itself occurs within a very small and finite number of days after the destruction of Gog's forces. Ezekiel 38/39 is a limited nuclear war, so the world will be demand peace and the 'covenant among many' will appear to provide it.
So the 'time lag" in your question is a temporal period that I believe is extremely short. It takes almost no time to confirm a peace formula, 'covenant among many' which already exists, perhaps a week to a month of time as we measure them.
A similar question to the one darrin asked, (and I believe that you're answer is 100% spot on) is the time lag between the final fulfillment of psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38. I believe that the time lag for that is also short.
DeleteYes, also short to give Israel time to recover and establish the safety & security that Ezekiel prophesied would be in place when Gog of Magog comes.
Delete"Like a flood". Right sean?
DeleteTalk about signs!!! I'm been visiting my parents in Iowa and yesterday morning,
ReplyDeleteSept. 3rd I felt the 5.6 earthquake from Oklahoma. I didn't know what the swaying
was at the time, but did wonder if it could be an earthquake. My sister in West
Des Moines said the shaking woke her up!! Iowa is not used to earthquakes so this
is significant. My parents and sisters are liberals and not watching for Jesus to come and snatch us away. They dismissed the earthquake because they blame fracking as the cause. On another note: I have a question about the Gog/Magog war. You know in Ezekiel 39:4 where it says Gog will be killed on the mountains of Israel.
Now of course God can do anything He wants and will, but this day and age presidents do not go into the battle themselves, they send their armies. So if Magog is Russia and Gog is the president of Russia, Putin now of course, why would he be there? Putin, zero, Erdogan etc. would not be there but their generals and armies? Just something I was thinking about............
Thanks Sean.
ReplyDeleteBased on your response, plus the two posts that follow, we should expect a lot of activity in the very near future. Without wishing for you to reinvent the wheel by re-explaining for my benefit all that is meant by the various prophecies to which you refer, the basic chronology (as I understand it from the several posts) is:
A) the Psalm 83 prophecy, in which Israel defeats a confederation of states comprising of nearby nations, leading to
B) the Ezekiel 38/39 prophecy involving Gog and Magog, followed by
C) the 70th week, beginning no later than 2021.
Do you have a prior post to which you can refer me that ties this all together?
Darrin
hartdawg,
ReplyDeleteYes, exactly, like the flood of events prophesied by the angel Gabriel to Daniel. Daniel 9:26c
"The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined."
The Hebrew word for flood is sheteph, the figurative meaning or mental image of which is like an effusion of liquid or gas under high pressure, a torrential outpouring.
Darrin,
ReplyDeleteNot only Psalm 83, but also its parallel verses in Isaiah 11:14-15 (routing of the Palestinian terrorists in Gaza, with the scope of the war manifesting from eastern Egypt to the Euphrates) and Ezekiel 28:24-26, along with Joshua 13 (i.e. the conquest of Hezbollah in Lebanon); Isaiah 17 with its parallel in Jeremiah 49:23-27.
I also believe a directly related parallel of Ezekiel 38/39 is found in Jeremiah 49:34-39 (Elam-Persia, Iran).
The tying of all this together is basically the sum total of this blog since 2009. But individual posts are found in the five parts of "The Prophetic Road to Revelation" and perhaps Global SITREP E5-14: Beholding the Truth About Armageddon (posted 16 November 2014). There's one more, but I have to repair the URL to make it work properly: "Advancing Our Situational Awareness of 'Last Days' Wars.
Sean, Could the "unless those days be shortened..." mean it could be before the ten extra years of strength (Psa 90:10), meaning only eight or six etc. So it would be after the 70 yr generation but sometime in the midst of the extra ten years the a/c will sign the covenant among many.
ReplyDeleteDarrin,
ReplyDeleteSee the 'Featured Post' of top right-hand column.
Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteThe same cadre of global elitists who fear their own political fiction creation (i.e. former VP Al Gore's human-caused 'global warming' nonsense) more than they fear the real clear and present dangers of this world, are also the creators of the non-existent fracking threat to the environment.
Many normally intelligent people, a great many of them die-hard Democrat Party adherents, fall for the 'fracking' political ruse hook line and sinker.
The fact of the matter is that it is the Federal Government's EPA which totally and completely controls what goes on in the wells in that part of Oklahoma where the 5.6Mag quake of September 1st was centered.
The EPA is politically controlled by the Obama Administration. So, if the blame must be issued, then it must be levied by these same Democrat Party voters against the Obama Administration because that's who is ultimately in control of the EPA's waste water injection activities in Oklahoma. They are creating the problem they use to frighten people for political purposes in the furtherance of their political agenda.
In case anyone asks, and according the the USGS, waste water injection into old wells IS NOT fracking. It is waste water disposal into underground chambers. Waste water injection well are NOT associated with felt earthquakes, especially those of a 5.6 Magnitude, or even lesser quakes which are barely felt. There isn't a single oil well that does not have a by-product of waste water; it is how oil is extracted since oil wells were first drilled in search of 'black gold'.
About Ezekiel, and the burial of Gog and his hordes in Israel... what does the word of God have to say beginning with Ezekiel 38:1-6? (Emphasis added)
"Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. Persia, Cush, and Put are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops—many people are with you."
And 38:22 "And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
Gog does not stay behind in his land of Magog... he comes to Israel with his armies and allied armies... Ezekiel 39:11
"“It will come to pass in that day that I will give Gog a burial place there in Israel, the valley of those who pass by east of the sea; and it will obstruct travelers, because there they will bury Gog and all his multitude."
On the fracking issue. The earthquakes are occurring because there are deep holes drilled into the earth and with fracking and waste water injection actually breaks up the rock formation which then allows for pressure release in areas where there normally would be none.
DeleteA good thing to do is whenever an earthquake strikes, go directly to the coordinates with Google earth and see what's there. Fault line, dormant volcano, wells etc. You will be astonished at how many occurr directly at a pumping site. Really astonished.
As for the rest, you are right on!!!!, :)
Hi Ally,
DeleteAccording to the USGS website, waste water injection, by definition, is not fracking (for the purpose of residual oil extraction).
The main issue I was addressing was Rhonda's about the 3SEP quake of Mag. 5.6 which was about 5 to 6 km deep (over 19,000 feet deep). The injection shafts in that same general area were drilled to only a fraction of that depth, around 3,200 feet on average.
The 3SEP quake was a natural occurrence unrelated to the oil industry. It was caused by a rupture of a shallow but major SW-NW slip-strike fault about 9 miles NW of Pawnee, OK.
Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteOne thing I forgot to add... the 1 SEP quake epicenter near Pawnee County, Oklahoma was 3.7 miles deep, or 19,536 feet deep.
The newest and deepest wells in Pawnee County run from 2,950 feet to 3440 feet deep, which is an average depth of 3195 feet.
This quake occurred more than six times deeper (16,341 feet deeper) than the average well depth. So how could waste water have caused this quake? Short answer: it couldn't.
Jmoll,
ReplyDeleteThat phrase about days being shortened is with respect to the saving of a remnant of human life on planet earth as a result of the judgments of the 70th Week. I.E., Had those days not been shortened no life would have survived (on the earth)."
The Antichrist's confirming of the covenant among many is the definitive, singular event which commences the start of the 70th Week. None of us will be on the earth to witness it; we will have been Harpazoed prior to its occurrence.
Sean,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the references. I will study these this evening in concert with the right hand column link to which you have directed me.
I'm really quite amazed at the idea of 'Gog', whether he be Putin or a successor, leaving the security of his homeland on a foreign military excursion. I don't know of any such parallels since the days of the Crusades, but then again the hooks of the Lord will prove utterly irresistible. For all we know, the 'hooks' could be the hope of personal glory in leading a modern day Crusade against Jerusalem. There is ample historical precedent for that idea.
Darrin
There has ben lots of national leaders ensconcing themselves in war zones in recent times. Many were military commanders who became national leaders after leading troops in the field, but others simply showed up in the midst of an ongoing war. And since the advent of ICBMs and Cruise missiles, national leaders are 24/7/365 targets of a decapitation first strike.
