Ezekiel 39:6 |
18 January 2020: The events which took place in Moscow, Russia this week are assuredly relevant to the prophetic visions given in Ezekiel 38-39 as noted in the chosen title for this SITREP, and which, for the purpose of continuity, is essentially an update for the 2009/Update 2014 post The Prophetic Road to Revelation (Part IV): The War of Gog of Magog and the 2012 post Clues to the Timing of Ezekiel 38/39 and other Insights.
Sweeping top to bottom change to the government of the Russian Federation came as the result of a stunning speech this past Wednesday (15JAN20) by its President Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly. In the speech Putin announced reforms that would change the very nature of Russia's governnance. Those changes resulted in the instantaneous resignation of the entire government The resignations were not in protest of the announced reforms, but in support of them and of Putin's objective agenda behind them. In the midst of this single day upheaval came word that an obscure apparatchik of the Russian tax service, Mikhail Mishushkin, was elevated to the office of Prime Minister. Mishushkin was elevated in leap-frog fashion above a total of thrity-two Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers of the Government with nary a signle protest. Not so much as a peep. Tsar Valdimir has spoken.
Or should it now be acknowledged, Gog of Magog the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, has spoken.
Thanks Sean for the new update..
ReplyDeleteI guess, Putin likes to take Russia back to the days of USSR.
Or, as I see it, he's moving things forward to the days of Gog of Magog.
DeleteSean,
ReplyDeleteI have searched your excellent 'The Prophetic Road to Revelation,' parts I through IV, and 'Clues to the Timing of Ezekiel 38/39 and other Insights,' but I cannot find any reference to the Israelites dwelling safely without walls; I'm new to your group so I may have overlooked a reference.
It has been suggested that the initial Gog attack might target a portion of Israel that indeed consists of unwalled dwellings resulting in God's immediate intervention, thereby fulfilling the prophesies.
"You will say, 'I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates'- " Ezekiel 38:11 NKJV
I would be grateful for any guidance you might provide regarding this matter.
Respectfully,
William Rich
Thanks Sean for this exiting update! Like you said on your previous SITREP, it's time to cut bait and fish! Tick tock... Counting down the rapture clock!
ReplyDeletebehold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Cor. 6:2
Baptistmama,
DeleteThis SITREP is just a few opening sentences waiting on future development sentences to join them. We're seeing emergent minute prophetic details and that's really exciting!
William,
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting!
Ezekiel 38:11 was not addressed in TPRR Part IV. The reason is stated in this excerpt:
"In consideration of the “who” and “when” aspects having been fairly well identified by so many commentators, this section will look at some other specific details concerning the “what,” “where” and “why” aspects of Ezekiel’s 2600-year old Divinely inspired prophecy."
And in the second reference, Ezekiel 38:11 was intimated thusly:
"There is no mention of the Antichrist or of Jerusalem or any existing Temple in Ezekiel 38/39. I believe these are indicators that the attempted invasion by Gog's confederation occurs during a period of time when Israel is dwelling securely (after Psalm 83, Isaiah 17 for example) but has not yet rebuilt the Temple."
In other Eschatology Today postings over the last 10 years Ezekiel 38:11 is directly addressed, but that verse is peripheral to the current rise of Gog and the thoughts that will be put in his head in the near future.
Russian activists take aim at Putin
ReplyDeleteWhy is everyone silent.. Are we in the process of some new updates? Can't wait for the next one.sean, I am sure something in store for us :)
ReplyDeleteNick,
ReplyDeleteHopefully everyone is talking with our Father. This is what Jesus did for us by taking on our sin and sending the Holy Spirit - we converse with our Father directly.
The new SITREP rolls out later today...
As we look around at this groaning world, it can get so discouraging and disheartening. I had no idea when I started watching over 25 years ago that it would be as hard as it is now. I believe we are all in constant prayer as we read the headlines and take in all the suffering. We are human and God knows we are dust, that we grow weary in the Christian walk. He knows and understands our longing for Him. He doesn't blame us for aching for a crumb, a bit of reassurance every day that he is soon coming to rescue us. These lulls between the birth pangs can seem so long, especially as we are getting so close.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all you do, Sean. It must seem at times that you are holding this whole website family on your shoulders. Thank you for the reminder that only as we focus on God we are lifted up and encouraged - only as we praise him for who he is - the mighty Creator and Sustainer of this Universe do our trials seem light and momentary.
Lord, help us to be patient, to wait prayerfully, hopefully, expectantly, and even joyfully, as we know your timing is perfect and that you will sustain us, provide for us, guide us, and comfort us as we wait. Please help us to reach out to those around us who don't know you. Soften their hearts and bring conviction, open their eyes to the warnings that so blatantly assault us on a daily basis. Uplift those watchmen on the internet who so faithfully report events and encourage us with their wisdom and ministry. Bless Sean and his family and all of his online, Christian family as he ministers to us through the calling you have given him. Amen and Maranatha.
ShelleyB,
DeleteThat was one awesome comment and prayer, thank you, Amen and Marana'tha!
Yes, definitely Amen, ShelleyB!
ReplyDeleteIsrael under rocket attack from Gaza. Red Alert sirens wailing.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteNew here. Russia today is more powerful than even the Soviet Union. Their S500 air defense system is one of the best in the world. It also successfully tested hypersonic missiles thus creating a new arm race. Day by day Russia military is getting stronger. The red army will sure come to the holy Land anytime. Its defeat will be a shocker to the world. And has Turkey officially left NATO? Seems to me that it is leaning towards Magog
Well, interesting changes in the past 4-6 weeks.
ReplyDeleteAs we see the world in a self imposed quarantine. I was thinking this morning how Mr.Gog might be thinking it's a good time to take a spoil while the world is preoccupied with saving the lives of their citizens. Hence, the statement from Eze 38:13“Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’
Seems to me a fitting time, especially with the bride of Christ's imminent departure.
Also, with most flights and roads a lot more vacant it will minimize deaths at the harpazo.
Of course, this is just speculation in self isolation, studying God's word.
Peace to all, I pray God keep you in these trying times.
Israel is also in isolation from COVID-19, so taking down walls, bars and gates, and living in peace and security with no one to make them afraid is not an immediate potential to take place IMHO.
