UPDATED BELOW: 7 October 2021: It's not looking good in the WESTPAC (Western Pacific). A headline and article published yesterday by DailyWaire.com: "Chinese State Media Warns U.S.: 'War May Be Triggered At Any Time' Over Taiwan."
All pretense of even relative calm between the Communist mainland and the Nationalist democratic government on Taiwan has evaporated. The air force of the PLA have intruded within Taiwan's ADIZ (Air Defense Identification Zone) well over 150 times since last Friday, with 56 combat aircraft intruding on Monday, 4 October, just three days ago. These aggressive intrusions of PLA J-11 combat aircraft are a virtual daily occurrence and in every circumstance are they intercepted Taiwanese Air Force F-16 fighters. The confrontations are normally brief, less than 15 minutes, but in this environment air combat could erupt and end in a first contact within seconds.
The Communist mouthpiece paper Global Times made clear this week that the trigger for the PLA military to bring punishment upon Taiwan's "secessionist forces" will occur, and "Time will prove that this warning is not just a verbal threat." This was followed by a Communist tweet: "Since Taiwan authorities are preparing for war, let's see whether Australia is willing to accompany Taiwan[s] separatist regime to become cannon fodder."
As we've noted previously, there is no question that Japan will act militarily in defense of Taiwan. Make no mistake, Japan is urgently preparing for war with China. The CCP response has been that it would nuke Japan in the event of Japanese intervention in "Chinese internal affairs." As for the U.S. under fully CCP-compromised President Joe Biden, the longstanding ambiguity of the Taiwan Agreement (maybe we will, maybe we won't) remains as it is.
Here are all of the ingredients necessary for tactical nuclear warfare to erupt in the WESTPAC. The question then becomes, will it remain a tactical exchange of nukes or escalate up to strategic strikes. Wars and rumors of wars.

Eschatology Today will note that this Russian-Chinese J-SAG evokes the future fulfillment in Scripture found in Daniel 11:44 regarding military news from the east and the north resulting in a specific 70th Week military engagements. Nevertheless we see these same military powers acting in concert today in prologue for the future. This transit is also a direct threat to Japan with respect to the Japanese declaration of its intent to defend Taiwan in the event of Communist Chinese military action.

But what Ezekiel 38/39 makes very clear is there are specific set conditions and circumstances which preface that prophetic fulfillment and none are yet evident.
But this could go a long way towards "getting the ball rolling."
BTW... "...At any time..." is no exaggeration.

I know there are alliances to be formed yet, but seems as if with the major players in place, it wouldn't take long to "get that ball rolling." I can't remember what else I am missing . . . ?

Israel will be a land recovered from war.
A land at peace, living in safety and security, fearing no enemy.
A land of unwalled villages having neither bars or gates.
A land rich in commodities and valuables, a land to be plundered and despoiled.
None of these conditions exist now, but they will exist after Isaiah 17, Psalm 83 and Jeremiah 49 have been fulfilled.

ReplyDeleteWhat is your personal evaluation on the possibility that China might actually back up it's treat to use strategic nuclear weapons on Japan. Obviously, China is more than capable of doing so, and, also, I am sure the trauma of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are still very much a part of Japan's racial psychology.
And, if they did, what kind of response would that bring about from the free world?

ETA: I am specifically talking about a strategic as opposed to a tactical nuclear strike, but either one would would elevate the situation a thousand fold, so I guess my question remains the same.

I do not believe they'd make this move with South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and the U.S. 7th Fleet armed to the teeth at their rear.
The militarily obvious must happen prior to the westward march of these kings of the East.

By the "militarily obvious" you mean that Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the 7th Fleet of the USA, (this group of allies in a nutshell) will go down in flames (in a future military confrontation)? I assume, that's what you insisted, - IF i got that right- so "the kings of the East" will be free to move later in the tribulation era.

A US Navy Seawolf-class fast attack nuclear sub. the USS Connecticut, was recently operating submerged in the South China Sea when it collided with "an unknown object" according to media reports.
ReplyDeleteEschatology Today sourcing reports the "unknown object" was actually a ChiCom PLA/N attack sub, and most likely one of their diesel boats operating on batteries in close proximity to the US boat.
There were non life threatening injuries aboard the Connecticut which pulled into safe harbor at Guam.
Update: A pack of Chicom Type 093 nuclear subs were shadowing HMS Queen Elizabeth CSG in South China Sea. One of the collided with USS Connecticut while submerged.

New info is that the Chinese sub was heavily damaged in the collision. The damage sustained also created critical nuclear reactor problems! The ChiCom Type 093 boat was thereafter scuttled in very deep water.
As you know Sean, but others might not, the Seawolf is considered to be, by and large, the best hunter-killer class in the world. We only have three of them. Due to the costs and the opinions among military experts and politicians, we cancelled what was supposed to be a contract for many more.

I honestly hope that this story is misinformation. If not, that would mean we only have 2 Seawolves in operational condition for the foreseeable future (I have no idea the extent of the damage or how long it would take to repair).
