Global SITREP A5-23: Jordan Valley Revisited

The Jordan River Valley, Galilee to Dead Sea

UPDATED 15 February 2023: We're revisiting the Jordan River Valley once again as some things have changed with the passage of the past ten years, and some other things have advanced that make the "Sovereignty Plan" achievable in the very near future. First, the image above illustrates the Jordan River Valley in yellow and green colors. The red shaded area illustrates the "Valley of the Passengers" (Valley of Hamon Gog) of Ezekiel 39:11-16, but that's already been discussed at length here.

One thing which has not changed is the fact that Israel has militarily controlled the Jordan River Valley since the War of June 1967 when it was conquered in a defensive war from Jordanian forces. Arab forces from Syria to Jordan to Egypt invaded Israel in an attempt to reverse the outcome of the 1948 war of Israel's independence. Jordan, following the 1948 war annexed the Jordan Valley to incorporate it into its existing territories east of the Jordan River, but the June 1967 war cancelled the annexation.

Putting on our strategic thinking caps we will now look graphically at precisely why military control of this territory is essential to make the heartland of Israel, Judea and Samaria, secure. This is illustrated by the image above. The Jordan Valley, shaded in gray, secures the eastern flank of Judea and Samaria. Without Israel's control of the Jordan River Valley would require engaging in that part of the 1967 Six Day War war all over again necessary. That clearly was not within the will of God, so the conquest became a strategic fact. However, even though the IDF has controlled this territory for the past 56 years for the purposes of its national security, and even as of this writing, the status of the Jordan River Valley is that it is not officially part of the State of Israel. That status is about to change!

MK Danny Danon of Likud, and Israel's former U.N. ambassador, decided not to be part of the new government so that he would be free to focus on drafting legislation the new government intends to act upon. To this end MK Danon has drafted legislation that will put all of the Jordan River Valley under full Israeli sovereignty. If we thought that the government of Israel officially recognizing the nine Jewish communities that have existed in Judea and Samaria for decades would be a problem, we clearly forgot the repercussions that the long-promised annexation of the Jordan River Valley might present.

MK Danon's legislative bill has the support of powerful groups on the political right, most notably Israel Beytenu and the National Camp, and its is also codified within the agreements that made the governing coalition a reality. Possibly of equal importance is the fact that the Israeli Left also supports Israel's control of the Jordan River Valley. The absence of genuine opposition makes the realization of this imminent legislation an irreversible fact, as is the newly emergent Zionist Israel upon the world stage. Bible prophecy being fulfilled in real-time.

 Marana'tha!

  2. Whoa! This is big. Having no genuine opposition in Israel is amazing.
I can only imagine the fireworks at the United Nations.

  3. Jmoll,
It is indeed - in all sorts of ways!

How about this unity based upon Israeli sovereignty as an indicator of the fulfillment of Isaiah 11:13?

And, boom!, there comes the next verse of Isaiah 11:14.

I would hope that folks, even the 'doubting Thomases', see these events taking place and then do swan dives into their own copy of the Word of God!

Gabriel was not kidding about the end coming like a flood. Yes, don't blink indeed! Dominoes falling left and right.

  4. If you're following along on the Israel "past as prologue" theme, and the associated prophetic return to Temple worship, then you must also seriously consider Israel's returning to Biblical (Old Testament) jurisprudence.

That's what the current hot-button issue of judicial reform in Israel is all about. Israel has no constitution, what Israel has is Basic Law. But what Israel will have is Biblical Law. To understand the judicial system that Jethro introduced to Moses and Moses then put into practice it is necessary to read Exodus 18.

    1. So he said.

Daniel 2:21 says "And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding."

God does all that He pleases.

    2. I agree, Who can resist God?
Israel is plagued by the same division of Left verses Right but both sides recognize that they need their own land.
We are watching the word of God being fulfilled before our eyes and I can't think of a better place than here to stay informed.

    3. Jmoll,
So true! Almighty God is irresistible, even to those who deny His existence. I pray that all of them have a prayer, and the opportune time for that is the present. That availability window is closing rapidly.

  6. Global SITREP C5-22: The Unfulfilled Prophecy of (Yehoshua) Joshua 13 of July 4, 2022 is now front and center.

Israel has a shipment of product from the Karish off-shore drilling site enroute to Europe. The overt Hezbollah threat of war now has nowhere to hide.

    2. Eschatology Today is keenly aware of the October Maritime Border Agreement agreed to by the former Lapid government in Israel.

However, more important is the new Netanyahu government's view of that agreement. Bibi has made it very clear he regards it the same as he regarded the Oslo Accords - that is, null and void.

This is why the Netanyahu government made the 9 settlements in Judea and Samaria official and will soon annex the Jordan Valley. Oslo is dead.

Netanyahu's government will ignore the Maritime Agreement as being as illegal as Oslo.

      This is a new Israel.

  7. The former SECSTATE has a proven record. He seems to have avoided the viral decadence in the upper echelons of government. I would prefer to see him as SECSTATE again if the Lord tarrys.
We need honorable people like him representing the U.S. and standing with the State of Israel.

  9. Back on the front burner is the recent US-Israel Iran strike exercise 'Juniper Oak.'

Word is that the allies will strike “one minute before Iran starts enriching uranium to the military-grade, 90 percent [U-235]."

    1. UPDATE: There is a report that a surprise inspection by the IAEA at the Fordow nuclear enrichment facility has detected U-235 enriched to a virtual weapons grade level of 84%. (14% higher than the 60% limit announced by Iran for the Fordow cascades.)

An official announcement at the IAEA meeting in Vienna, Austria in March is likely, but that may be water under the bridge if this level of U-235 enrichment is also assessed by the US and Israel.

Israel can and will act (strike) unilaterally if necessary.

  11. Leftist MSM in Israel and in the West are spreading a gross falsehood about Israel's Likud-led government agreeing to abide by the Biden Administration's "pump the brakes" on its Judea and Samaria initiatives and halt things for "several months.".

No such thing has been agreed to.

Nine settlements official recognition and 10,000 new units of residential construction in Judea and Samaria are a fact and proceeding as planned.

The truth of the matter is that Israel's Civil Administration Higher Planning Committee is not scheduled to meet again for "several months." When it does convene again new approvals and new construction will be approved in accordance with the Sovereignty Movement's planning for the region.

    1. Follow-up: Politics in Israel are wholly unpredictable in "normal" circumstances. In fact they're as volatile these days as any active front in war. But, then again as made clear recently, this is a new Israel, a Zionist Israel, sprinting towards the 70th Week of Years.

Yesterday, with the battle in Shechem as a back-drop, the Higher Planning Committee of Israel’s Civil Administration approved the construction of 400 new houses in a Gush Etzion community 11 south of Jerusalem (in Judea) where several houses had been demolished by order of the Supreme Court in 2018. Also approved were an aditional 1,000 new homes scattered throughout Gush Etzion.
