UPDATE 18 November 2023: The big Ohio-class nuclear-powered submarine in the Middle East is sailing with the Eisenhower CSG somewhere in the Arabian Sea. The converted boomer boat is the USS Florida (SSGN-728) and she's carrying 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles for delivery to Iranian military targets should either Hezbollah or Iran join the war against Israel as they've threatened.
There may be a significant indication that this US power-play is not enough to deter Iran (and its proxies) from entering the war. On Wednesday, 15 November, the Twelver regime's Houthi proxy in Yemen launched an armed drone strike against one of the Eisenhower CSG combatant vessels in the Arabian Sea. That ship was the Arleigh-Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Thomas Hudner (DDG-116) as it was transiting in international waters in the Red Sea. The Houthi drone was shot down at distance by the ships air defense systems.
This attack by Iran's regional proxy forces is in addition to the current total of 61 attacks on US troops in their bases in Iraq and Syria as of yesterday, 17 November. The Biden Administration is between Iraq and a hard place in that it must put brute, kinetic military force on the table if deterrence of the Iranian Twelver's is to have any change of success. Thus far, and according the the Pentagon, 60 American troops have sustained minor injuries in the proxy attacks in Iraq and Syria, but all have since returned to duty.
And can be seen in the above collage image, the Islamic Republic of Iran is surrounded by a most impressive array of American military power in every direction on the compass. The USS Ford CSG to the west, B-1 Bombers to the north, the USS Bataan ARG to the south, and the USS Eisenhower CSG to the east, not to mention dozens of the world's best strike aircraft based throughout the region. As Israel presses on to the south of Gaza in its hunt to exterminate HAMAS, PIJ and other terrorists, push will come to shove at some point as almost no one believes Iran will back down at this point.

13 November 2023: The prospect for a much greater war across the MidEast looms today as the deterrent warnings from both Israel and the United States appear to have fallen upon deaf Islamist ears. From Lebanon, through Syria and Iraq to the heartland of the Islamic Republic of Iran the rhetorical flames of a great war increase by the hour. IDF commanders in the north want to take the war of attrition with Hezbollah deep into Lebanon but are, for the moment at least, being held back by political decisions and international pressure. This pressure will likely evaporate should the IRGC-QF proxies invite a large U.S. retaliation. At that time the IDF will initially seek to drive to the Litani River in Lebanon, but DM Gallant is not bluffing when he recently stated that Beirut could become Gaza.
In Israel the prospect of full-scale war with Hezbollah in Lebanon is being discussed in terms of not if it will escalate, but when. At this time the when this war will escalate is regarded as imminent. Hence the need for this new SITREP. Israeli civilians living in eight villages, moshavim and kibbutzim located along Israel's northern border, just inside the so-called 2000 U.N. Blue Line and within the Ma'ale Yosef Regional Council and the Upper Galilee Regional Council, have been instructed by the Northern Command to enter protective spaces.
Within prophetic Scripture this larger war can be seen within the texts of Jeremiah 49:23-27, Isaiah 17 and Joshua 13:1-7 which have never previously found fulfillment. The death toll will be great.
It's such a blessing to finally see that Eschatology Today is not alone among prophecy-centric sites concerning the current and rapidly expanding war.

I was conducting an "audit" to see what several long-standing prophecy teachers had to say most recently about this prophetic war when I found Don's article.
Some teachers are slowly coming around, but most still have not 'seen' as I've 'seen' them in the prophetic sequencing.
My view has always been that "Psalm 83" began when Israel was re-born in 1948, per Isaiah 66:8, and has continued ever since, lacking only the final acts of fulfillment (occuring at this time) and like a flood, per Gabriel's prophetic narrative to Daniel.
Most of them see these prophecies as distinct wars (Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Isaiah 11:12-14, Joshua 13:1-7, and Jeremiah 49, et al.) Problem here is that there's not enough time remaining for all of these to occur separately.
They're all in a rapid sequence, like a flood, inter-connected within the scope of today's Middle East.
Not one of these pre-70th Week prophesies has a single indicator regarding time - except for one, and that one puts their ultimate result of fulfillment in the frame of the same time, all at once, as a net result: Ezekiel 28:24-26.
Also, we can reasonably expect the Harpazo to occur in the small gap between Ezekiel 28:24-26 and Ezekiel 39:29. This is THE greatest indicator of the termination of the Dispensation of Grace, the so-called "Church Age" and the onset of Israel's 70th Week of Years per Daniel 9.
I believe the Harpazo should occur with the next 12 to 36 months, which is very similar to Don's view.
As each piece of the prophecy puzzle is put in place it presents a clearer picture for us to see.
DeleteThe church today, just like at it's formation, struggles with understanding God's word and His plan. Only a few see it clearly. Confusion comes due to a lack of biblical understanding.

want to hurry along His plan because of our desire to see His purposes completely accomplished.

Sean, the only thing I would add to Don’s prediction would be that since Jesus will have to fulfill the three fall feasts like He did for the four spring ones, He would likely set His foot on the Mount of Olives on Rosh Hashana 2033 to begin the final fulfillment. I’m with you on the 12 to 36 months to the Harpazo. Hard to believe we’re talking this way after watching for so long!

Amen Brother!! Something I did some time ago - and kind of re-did of late, was systematically familiarise myself with the geography of Samaria (north of Jerusalem) and Judea (south of Jerusalem). Really good in Google Maps in satellite view. Esp. all those towns that regularly pop up in the news (Nablus, Jenin, Hebron etc.). Any fellow ET'er brothers and sisters who have not done so (probably most have) - worthwhile exercise. Really helps break the whole 'West Bank' false narrative. Joel Rosenberg published an article recently highlighting 1 Kings 8:44-53, Solomon's prayer for captives, that they may repent and know that God is their God. Amazing how applicable this is today--and isn't that what John says: that the world may know!

Interesting that you mention The Late, Great Planet Earth, as that is the very book that brought me to knowing that God, He is God. If the Bible is right about prophecy, and how can we say otherwise, then it is also right when it claims I am in a sinner in need of salvation. Hal Lindsey's book bore much salvation fruit, methinks. It sure did in my life.

ReplyDeleteHal's book was, and still is, an introduction to what we know as dispensation theology for the many still in need of finding salavation in Christ the Lord, and using prophecy to get to that convicting point. Truly a Spirit led book who impact in the early 1970s is almost without peer, save the Bible itself. It's one of the reasons why Eschatology Today exists.

US strikes would be in defense of Israel as well as for our regional allies, plus the OIR Coalition.
Iran would not be destroyed but militarily reduced in their capabilities to fulfill the role in Ezekiel 38/39.

ReplyDeleteHezbollah has been launching heavy, short-range rockets at Israeli border communities (largely evacuated). Hezbollah also embeds Arab language journalists with the terrorists launching these rockets. This morning two such journalists were confirmed KIA (by Lebanon-based sources) during the IDF return fire on the launch positions in Lebanon. The reason for this embedding is as obvious as the nose on Nasrallah's face: to create civilian shahids (islamic martyrs) to justify war against Israel. Human shields are a long-standing islamic warfighting tactic.

For example, in May 2023 Global SITREP B6-23: A Disaster in the Making was an I&W bread crumb (Indication and Warning) of the war now in progress. The largest barrage of rockets (approx. 50) from Lebanon since October 7 occurred last night. This barrage was retaliation for the airstrike which killed Mohammed Ra’ad, the son of Hezbollah's highest member in Lebanon's Parliament, and four other Hezbollah soldiers. Most were intercepted by the IDF Iron Dome system. These are big, short range rockets with massive high explosive (HE) warheads capable of tremendous damage with a direct hit.

ReplyDeleteThe most recent attack in Syria was with a short-range ballistic rocket by Kata'ib Hezbollah. Those terrorists were tracked down by a USAF AC-130J "Ghostrider" aircraft which destroyed their vehicle as it departed from the launch point and killing the several terrorist occupants instantly.
The IRGC-QF and proxies began these attacks on US forces within a day of the IDF ground forces entering Gaza; our war and Israel's war are directly connected to one another.
The reasons for Israel's government to accept the Gaza ceasefire are understandable, but that doesn't negate the fact that many more Israeli citizens will pay with their lives for this mistake.

Additional hostages might not be realeased in the coming hours. ReplyDeleteIf I could discern that war was coming so too did Israel's intelligence apparatus. This has been proven beyond doubt by the whistleblowers from the IDF's Unit 8200. It was certain commanders who dismissed that hard intel as "fantasy."
In similar fashion there were some professed Christians who dismissed the war Indications and Warnings published on this blog in advance. Some doubting Thomas's to this day still are in denial.
The resumption of combat ops in Gaza will ignite the full scope of the title of this SITREP... and result in the Part II of this SITREP within hours from now.
But... (there's always a 'but') history may repeat in a similar way.

The Iraqi army became a guerilla force, the Fedayeen Saddam, and the Fedayeen Saddam merged with Al Qaeda to become the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
This may repeat with HAMAS, PIJ and PFLP, etc, etc IF the war is not promptly restarted to become mission complete. There are rumblings in Israel that "international pressure" might preempt the restart of the war.
By Sunday it should be clear what will occur.

ReplyDeleteAs of today there have 44 who've prayed for Israel since the new appeal was posted 5 days ago. We're all praying in agreement, so therefore God will answer our prayer in His sovereign way.
We accept this by faith and in the knowledge that the red heifer for purification will be sacrificed on the Mount of Olives in about 18 weeks from now.
