Egyptian Armor in the Sinai |
13 July 2025: The government of Egypt has flat-out rejected the plan put forward for the IDF to redeploy its forces in Gaza in the event of a ceasefire. The Egyptians claim the plan constitutes a "national security" threat to Egypt. Egypt is a co-mediator with Qatar in the currently stalemated talks in Doha for another 60-day hudna between Israel and the Gaza terrorist factions (HAMAS, PIJ, etc.).
It must be noted that HAMAS originated in Egypt as a spinoff of the Al-Ikhwan Al-Muslimun (Muslim Brotherhood). Both Egypt and terrorist sponsoring Qatar have a vested interest in seeing the survival of the terrorist factions in Gaza. In reinforcing their displeasure the Egyptian government says it will increase the deployment of its armored forces opposite Gaza's southern border and across the Israel-Egypt border in the northern Sinai. It is also not lost on Israel's citizens that Egypt facilitated the cross-border arms smuggling that began long before October 7, 2023. Most concerning are the Egyptian statements claiming they may abbrogate (withdraw from) the "peace treaty" with Israel.
Given that HAMAS' is doing everything it can to thwart the Doha talks, it's not inconcievable that a united Islamist front is what Israel is actually facing on its southern borders. We'll look at prophetic Scripture next.
The entirety of Isaiah 19 speaks prophetically about what lies in the near future for Egypt, and also during the Millennium Reign of Christ on the Earth. This chapter is written in easy to understand plain language and largely devoid of high-end symbolic meaning. I leave it to the reader to investigate fully as we've touched on this before.
The bottom line with Isaiah 19 is that no nation of the Earth goes up against Almighty God and survives intact to challenge Him again thereafter, at least not for an entire Millennium and that is swiftly and permanently dealt with as well.
There is also Daniel 11:42-43 which concern the 70th Week of Years specifically with respect to Egypt and the nations to its immediate west and south.
At present we watch numerous prophetic events unfolding in real time and knowing with absolute certainty there is no stopping this flood as it sweeps everything in its path, except the Bride of Christ, into the 70th Week of Years.
Watching!
Hagarites???

In terms of Psalm 83 - which in my interpretation has been in a process of fulfillment since 1948 - yes!
DeleteAbrams up against Merkavas. Interesting. Bro. Steve
ReplyDeleteBro Steve,
DeleteEgyptian military exploits can be divided according to Scriptures into pre-70th Week and during 70th Week.
In neither case does the Egyptian military fare well; they are defeated and conquered in both frames of reference.
Bro. Sean; Thanks for the extra detail. For sure, I am in absolutely zero doubt about the conflict outcomes (been a student here at ET for several years now ;-) ; more of a purely tactical observation that this will be the first time (?? - correct me if I'm wrong) that the IDF and its Merkava's have gone up against Western armour. It's always been Soviet stuff until now. That being said, the Merkava is a pretty amazing platform IMO. Also and per Bro. Jon's comment above, I continue to observe with fascination, the speed at which the 'inner ring' coalition continues to coalesce. Flood indeed. Thanks again. Bro. Steve.
DeleteBro Steve,
DeleteYes, this would be the first time the Israeli Merkava Mk4M would engage Egyptian Abrams M1A1. Advantage to Merkava with Trophy protection system. The Israeli ATMOS 2000 will also take out Egyptian armored forces. Israel has the qualitative advantage over Egypt across the board.
The IDF launched an operation in southern Syria. In two Dara'a locations the IDF destroyed (MBTs) Main Battle Tanks.
ReplyDeleteNew information reveals the Main Battle Tanks that Israel attacked belong to the current Syrian regime. They were enroute to engage the Druze in Sweida which Israel has repeatedly warned the IDF will protect forcefully. This is an important development.
DeleteSyrian government forces continue their advance on the Druze in Sweida. Anticipating IDF intervention.
DeleteSeems we may need a very brief, simplistic recap of recent Egyptian history to date, and which may serve for understanding the current situation.
ReplyDeleteEgypt had a civil war in the second decade of the 21st Century (2012-13). Remember Mubarak or Morsi?
Defense Minister el-Sisi led a military coup d'etat. Massacres ensued. The Egyptian military then consolidated totalitarian of the state and the economy. Egyptian officers knew and know nothing about Egyptian capitalist enterprise. This led to a decade of UAE and Qatar bailouts totaling many BILLIONS of dollars, and the resultant Egyptian financial crisis of 2023-24. The US offer of an additional $7.5 Billion bailout was rejected by el-Sisi's military government as "external interference." There are 90 MILLION Egyptians at or below poverty level existence. Revolt ready masses. Egypt shifts its foreign policy towards the East (China, North Korea). And now the threat to scrap the peace treaty with Israel. Wag the Dog ring a bell?
The Shi'a Twelver's have called for all bodies of resistance in the West to assassinate President Trump. They have established a bounty of $42 million for whoever completes the task.
