24 February 2026: This inaugurates a new phase in the ongoing postings to Eschatology Today, from the longstanding Global SITREP series to a dated chronology simply termed Signs.
The establishment of the State of Israel is at the top of the list as a Sign of the end of this age. Make no mistake, the re-establishment of Israel in the Covenant Land is an ongoing process, witness the struggle over Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley.
Within the past day something occured here that has not happened since Jesus walked on this land, and the Hasmonean's ruled until the Roman conquest. The national banner of Israel was raised atop Mount Sartaba which fronts on the Jordan Valley.

In Israel's ancient history and during the Second Temple period this mount held, and still does have deep religious and national importance. A Signal fire would light up on the Mount of Olives opposite the Temple, and then a Signal fire would lit on Mount Sartaba. Jews in Babylon understood this Sign. Now in this era the same signalling is taking effect echoing ancient times. On Rosh Chodesh Nisan a signal fire will be lit as a signal [via TV] to the Jewish diaspora all over the world that "Israel Lives."
26 February 2026: "War and rumors of war" are a sign. The current rumor of war between the US/Israel and Iran is like an epic storm rumbling towards us over plains and mountains, or a tsunami rushing a relatively calm shoreline. Its sudden arrival will alter most things in ways that are currently only supposition or conjecture in the secular world.
Bible prophecy is more direct in the effects that will take place. Iran under the Twelver regime will go from a major threat and number one terror sponsoring state in the world to a second or third-rate has-been power, such as the war-torn rump of Sudan and Libya. So says the ancient Spirit-inspired prophet Ezekiel. It is the nearness of Ezekiel's prophetic military action which is the clearest indication of when the Bride of Christ will be instantaneously taken up to be with the LORD. 27 February 2026: As noted previously, the presence of Persia in the disastrous Magog confederation assault on Israel per Ezekiel 38/39, indicates a US/Israel attack in the near future will likely not achieve a regime change in the ruling theocracy. An attack or a "palace coup d'etat" could change the top tier Twelver leadership. Should this occur the most likely candidate for leadership and continuation of hatred for Israel might be Ali Larijani, a very close associate of Ayatollah Khamenei and the one he has personally tasked to ensure the survival of the Islamic Republic, even though Larijani is not a Twelver.
28 February 2026: Just when the visits to Eschatology Today tanked to rock bottom in the last 48 hours, the order was given and the U.S. Department of War began the execution of OPERATION EPIC FURY against the Islamic Republic of Iran at 0'Dark Thirty this morning.
The State of Israel is also striking the Islamic Republic in concert with the US Armed Forces, making this a truly joint operation. Hezbollah targets in Lebanon have also been hit hard this morning by the IAF. At least one Israeli Naval Service (INS) submarine armed with Israel's second strike nuclear deterent put to sea this morning. It was last seen departing Haifa at high speed.
The Houthi's in Yemen have declared the Bab al-Mandab strait closed to all shipping. They claim to attack all US and Israeli ships they can reach.
In the Gulf the first strikes of Op Epic Fury hit several IRGC naval bases from which an attempt to deny transit access to the Strait of Hormuz would originate.
Twelver retalitation targeted the US Naval Support Activity in Manama, Bahrain. A video appears to show a direct hit on the US 5th Fleet HQ. There are also videos of Iranian missiles being shot down over the UAE.
The primary objective of Op Epic Fury appears to be neutralizing the Twelver regime (Tehran has been hit several times so far), its IRGC bases, infrastructure and nuclear sites. Given the intensity of action a new post will begin this morning.
