Global SITREP E10-15: Israel Threatens "Crushing Blow" on Lebanese Hezbollah

Update 05 January 2016:  That didn't take long. Exactly one week after posting the three sentences highlighted below (in red), Hezbollah has begun its attack upon Israel as ordered by Ayatollah Khamenei for the reasons outlined in the opening paragraphs of this SITREP. The next steps will be to witness the response Israel has promised will be the result of such attacks.

That this attack occurs just as Saudi Arabia and its Sunni Arab allies have entered into a state of virtual war with the Islamic Republic of Iran fully exposes the overall eschatological mindset of the Twelver regime in Tehran. In keeping with the Twelvers fervent brand of political messianism and desire to hasten that eschatology by all means available to them, the greater the chaos in the Middle East the better their chances of self-fulfilling their eschatological expectations. War with Israel has always been the key to this expectancy.

What is occurring on Israel's border with Lebanon and the Golan is far more than mere retaliation for Israel's dispatching into eternity of the baby-murdering Islamic terrorist Samir Kuntar; this is an emergent battlefield which could quickly envelope the whole of the Northern Front, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Sea of Galilee with the eternal fate of the city of Damascus hanging in the balance.

28 December 2015: There is every indication this morning that Israel is prepared to strike "crushing blows" against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Whether those blows are preemptive or reactionary may depend a lot on exactly what intelligence Israel has collected regarding Hassan's Nasrallah's bombastic rhetorical threats against Israel.

Preliminary airstrikes launched within the past 24 hours by the IAF appear to have occurred along the Lebanese-Syrian border; according to YNet the strikes were confirmed by Israel's Foreign Ministry Director-General Dore Gold to have preempted the transfer of SA-22 'Greyhound' mobile SAM systems (Pantsyr S1) from Syria to Hezbollah.  These strikes are likely both a stern warning and a dare to Hezbollah's Hassan Nasrallah: if Hezbollah is feeling froggy - go ahead and jump, but the result will be a dead frog hitting the ground impaled on an IDF bayonet. See Samuel 13 for the strong prophetic relevance here.

Hezbollah's forces have been decimated in Syrian combat, not unlike their Iranian officer corps, regular IRGC forces and proxy militias. The recent combat death of IRGC Major General Hossein Hamedani, among the hundreds of IRGC combat deaths suffered in the last two months, has resulted in Ayatollah Khamenei's appointment and return as overall IRGC commander in the region their most senior veteran flag officer, Major General Mohammad Jafar Assadi, a/k/a Abu Ahmad. Major General Assadi was the IRGC commander in Lebanon a decade ago so his appointment to return along with another thousand or so fresh IRGC troops may well be what lies behind Hassan Nasrallah's braggadocio regarding what he is sending to Israel in retribution of the recent assassination of the child murdering terrorist Samir Kuntar.

This also belies the seriousness with which Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei regards the overall situation in Syria where continued defeats will almost certainly provide cause to the Iranian Expediency Council's Assembly of Experts, led by Hashemi Rafsanjani, to call for the ousting of the Supreme Leader. After all, in Twelver-Hojjatieh ruled Iran there is the essential necessity for a Supreme Leader who effectively demonstrates the kind of "rightly guided" leadership for hastening the arrival of the al-Mahdi. Negotiating away Iranian nuclear weapons with the "Great Satan" is another sign of weakness in the velayat-e-fiqh this Ayatollah has come to personify, and is not something a Twelver truly worthy of his jihad can live with. Regime change in Iran is an integral theme of the Jeremiah 49:34-39 prophecy.

Therefore, attacking Israel in an attempt to instantly widen the war, and thus the al-Mahdi-hastening chaos that would ensue, appears to be what the current Ayatollah is counting on to maintain his position. A Syrian regional official from Quneitra, Ra'afat al-Bokar, confirmed this Iranian plan in telling the Fars News Agency the coming attacks will occur from Israel's Golan as well as from Syrian territory as well. This does not bode well for the longevity and well-being of Lebanon, Syria or Iran and is certainly in keeping with the multiple prophecies levied against them by the Lord's prophets of Israel.

The above map indicates the triangle-shaped area (left of the red-line) on the Golan frontier between Israel, Jordan and Syria where the Islamic State-aligned terrorists of the Liwa Shuhada al-Yarmouk (Yarmouk Martyrs Brigade) are known to have maintained predominant territorial control since 2013. An official IS announcement of a 'Wilayat Yarmouk' or 'Wilayat Deraa' may be only a matter of time.

  1. Taking a moment to note that a recent defector from the ranks of Islamic State has provided intel which proves to be very interesting.

The defector stated in his initial interrogation that IS in Iraq and Syria and its Wilayat Sinai associates do not live in fear of the military forces of any nation... except for those of the Israel Defense Forces.

Only the IDF strikes fear in their hearts because, as the defector made clear, the IDF are experts of experts in guerrilla warfare anywhere in the Middle East.

  2. Ken,

Absolutely! We must always be mindful of the fact that Islamic State at its core is composed of the remnants of Saddam Hussein's regime (intelligence and military) and Al Qaeda in Iraq. They are well aware and very fearful of the exceptional amount of hurt Israel can bring down upon them with at any moment.

    1. True Sean, but don't they also know that any amount of damage israel does will cause the world community to come down on israel? Wouldn't that embolden them to some extent?

  3. hartdawg,

Russia, the US, UK, Britain, France, Jordan, Qatar and the UAE have been bombing the daylights out of Islamic State for a couple of months, and Russia is even indiscriminate in its bombing by hitting Syrian civilians half of the time.

I doubt anyone will so much as squeak when Israel joins in the strikes on Islamic State. For what it's worth, they barely squeak now when Israel takes out Hezbollah and Syrian targets directly.

With the lone exception of Ezekiel 38/39, when Israel has recovered from the whole Psalm 83 war scenario, notice what the much larger Israel's condition is (which will include all of Lebanon, as well as much of Syria and Jordan and probably the whole of Sinai) just prior to the appearance of Gog and his Magog-led confederation - Israel is at peace fearing no nation on earth.

I think the geo-political-military situation will be an entirely different paradigm in the very near future, and the world is still, albeit just barely, in the pre-70th Week era.

  4. Dear Sean and fellow Watchers,
Happy New Year! God in His grace has let us watch another year start on planet
earth. May He grant us wisdom in the days, weeks and months ahead to know the
prophetic importance of future events. I thank God for learned watchers like Sean
to help the rest of us see the true meaning of events and how they relate to our
soon glorious departure of this wicked world. I know you all join me in praying
that many will come to the knowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord and there is no

  5. Hey sean, I'd like to ask you a question. First of all, please understand that this is a real question, I'm sure that you get a lot of "questions" that aren't really questions but are more like traps to trip you up or to start some argument.
Second, although this may have been covered, I'd like crystal clear clarity. Here it is:
Since Ezekiel 38 & 39 is a clearly pre-70th week prophecy, and psalm 83 clearly pecedes Ezekiel 38 & 39, probably by several months since they have to recover prior to Ezekiel 38 & 39, and Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49 appear to occur prior to psalm 83, since all these things are clearly pre-70th week and there doesn't seem to be much of a gap between the harpazo and the 70th week, is it foolish to be looking for the harpazo to occur at any moment? When I consider all the pre-70th week prophecies, I find myself getting discouraged and thinking to myself, "he can't come back today, or even this year, next year maybe". What would you say to that? Is that a logical conclusion or an attack from the enemy?

  6. Hartdawg,

Dear Brother....I am THEE last prophecy educated person to try to even answer your question to Sean.

But let me just offer you this....Our God is an Awesome God! And in saying that, we can only speculate as to how big of a gap there is between the Rapture and the Tribulation.

I don't believe that anyone can claim "thus the Lord told me" and therefore we can only give our own individual interpretation and speculation. Otherwise, we set ourselves up for confusion and discouragement. And we know where that comes from.

The return of our Lord IS imminent! And when the Father says it's time for His Son to come and get us....it will be at just the right time, no sooner, no later.

And let me just say this, nothing, and I mean nothing else HAS to happen before the Rapture can occur.

And for some encouragement: Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You

    Love ya Bro!

  7. hartdawg,

I believe this dispensation began with the Day of Pentecost and will end with the Harpazo. This is a very God-ordained and ordered period of time which permits us a uniquely literal interpretation of Scripture; prophetic Scripture in particular.

(MUST READ - Matthew 24:45-51 before reading this comment any further.)

In studying this I see two things which stand out:

1.) How did Noah know when he was to enter the ark and escape the flood?

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be."

Moses, the faithful servant full of wisdom, did everything that God has commanded him to do.

And then what does God do? God the Father told Noah to enter into the ark! God gave Noah eight days advance notice of when the flood would come. (READ: Genesis 7:1-5) God told Noah on one day to enter the ark, and Noah then had seven more days to enter the ark, him and all his household and all the living things who were to be spared from the flood. Noah and the Ark is a template of the Harpazo.

Is there any real difference between Noah, the faithful servant of wisdom, and the bride of Christ, also a faithful servant of wisdom, that they should be treated differently?

2.) What was the duration of time, the gap of time, between our Lord's visible ascension into Heaven from the Mount of Olives and the day of Pentecost, the day which was the "Promise of the Father"? (i.e. the Feast of Weeks - Leviticus 23:15 and Deuteronomy 16:9)

Both of the above OT references refer to 7 weeks of time, which is how long in literal, 24-hour days? It is 49 days.

The Greek word 'Pentecost' means "the fiftieth day" and it directly refers to the 50 elapsed days between the day of Passover and the day of Pentecost, the "Promise of the Father", the day the Church of Jesus Christ was born with the baptism and of the Holy Spirit upon the gathered apostles and other brethren who numbered about 120 altogether. (Acts 1:15).

So, after Jesus rose from the dead He walked and talked and taught and gave many signs to the apostles for 40 days, ascended into Heaven from the Mount of Olives, and then ten days later the Holy Spirit came upon all of those in the upper room and the Church age began.

Seven weeks and then one day until the promise of the Father is kept.

Here we have both OT and NT references given in the Holy Spirit of the the Promise of the Father being kept at the end of the seventh week following Passover.

I believe we will know when the time comes just as God told Noah seven days in advance, and Jesus let it be known by virtue of the seven weeks after Passover when the Holy Spirit was poured out by God upon all those in the upper room as Promised by the Father.

As I understand this lesson from Scripture of the whole Word of God, ours is a 'Blessed Hope,' but in these last days it is even more than that it is also a Blessed Promise to be Harpazoed to Him in the air in the twinkling of an eye.

None of the true bride of Christ will be caught unawares, only the evil servants will be.

So my answer to your question is:

Any sense of a 'gap of time' after the Harpazo to the start of the 70th Week is irrelevant to the Bride of Christ; it is of no real concern to us, except for us to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ so as to reach save by the Blood of the Lamb of God as many as possible from what will assuredly follow on this earth.

God knows who that last gentile to be saved will be; it is not for us to know.

    ReplyDelete
  8. The Promise of God the Father was/is two-fold:

    1) baptism of the bride of Christ in the Holy Spirit and
    2) to keep the bride from the flood of the 70th Week through Harpazo with Christ Jesus.

    ReplyDelete
  9. That answers my question, and I sincerely hope that I didn't make you mad with the question.
As I was reading the passage something jumped out at me, the part in the passage where the master put the faithful and wise servant over all the masters goods, I can't help but see that as a reference to millenial reign. Is that accurate?

  10. One more quick question, I don't know if it's my phone or something with this site, but every time I post a comment it always double posts. Do you know what it might be?

  11. hartdawg,

Never you worry for one second, I would not get angry when someone posts a valid question regarding Scripture. Your question was a very real question I happen to believe has been on the minds of others as well. Hopefully I have provided a response which serves them as well.

I also hope that my Scripture-based belief has been made crystal clear; the bride of Christ, indwelt by the Holy Spirit will without question be in the know immediately prior -- whether it is 7 days or 49 days -- that our Harpazo is about to happen; we will not be caught unaware of its occurrence.

Indwelt by the Holy Spirit how could it possibly be otherwise; are we no different than those who will be carried away by the flood? Of course we are different and we will be in great anticipation to hear that shout, the voice of the archangel!

Yes, we will all reign with Christ on this earth during the Millennium. That is what is meant by the good servant being put in charge.

Also, I recently made posting comments open and unrestricted and I removed word verification. Perhaps that is why double posting is occurring. I will turn word verification back on and see if that helps.

  12. Wow....that (being made aware of the harpazo) is a revelation for me. I guess I always thought that being changed in the blink of an eye meant that we would be caught up unawares. Awesome clarification Sean! Thanks Hartdawg for asking.

  14. Lance,

You can also try looking at the Harpazo in this manner: (per 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

The Lord will appear in the air above the earth, and with a command given like the voice of an archangel and the trumpet of God all of the dead in Christ no matter where they have been buried on the earth since Jesus ascended into Heaven in 33 AD will be brought back to life and rise into the sky to be with Christ.

We will literally hear Jesus give the command "COME UP HITHER" in a voice like that of the archangel (a chief angel; a great prince; a warrior angel) Michael. Michael's voice sounds like the trumpet of Almighty GOD. One can only imagine how powerful that is; it is something the likes of which no human being on this earth has ever heard before! And we will see all those who had been dead rise into the air in their new glorified bodies.

Then in the next instant all of the bride of Christ shall be transfigured into new glorified bodies and we will be caught up (i.e. harpazō) into the air to be with our brethren and together we shall all meet Christ in the clouds and ascend into Heaven (see: Revelation 4).

Also, take a good look at 2 Kings 2:1-15.

How many "sons of prophets" knew beforehand that God was going to harpazō Elijah up into Heaven in Bethel... and in Jericho... and at the Jordan River?

How did these "sons of prophets" know when this harpazō would happen?

  15. I find a need to make it very clear that while some will dance in public around this issue, for the well-stated purposes of this blog I will not be doing any dancing. I have stated these things several times previously, but the time has yet again come to re-state them. This is what I believe because this is what Scripture says in the plain text.

Why did Jesus speak to the Jews in parables?

It is because of what Moses was told to tell the Jews about their Spiritual condition due to their disobedience in Deuteronomy 29:4 "Yet the Lord has not given you a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this very day."

Paul very clearly reiterates this important message in Romans 11.

So, Jesus spoke to the Jews in parables because they could not, and still do not (for the most part) to this day, clearly understand things of a Spiritual nature.

This is very important to know when one studies Jesus' signs of the Last Days sermon on the Mount of Olives: the Parable of the Fig Tree, the Parable of faithful Servants and Evil Servants in Matthew 24, and the Parable of the Ten Virgins and the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25.

I reject any teaching that the parable of the ten virgins relates to true believers during or after the 70th Week.

I believe the parable of the ten virgins relates directly to the bride of Christ and our awaiting the coming of our Bridegroom, the Lord Jesus Christ prior to the advent of the 70th Week.

This is a parable about us, both Jew and Gentile born-again believers and how we should be conducting ourselves being indwelt by the Holy Spirit.

The oil in the lamps of the ten virgins represents the Holy Spirit. Virgins with the Holy Spirit will know when the Bridegroom approaches and will be taken in the Harpazō, those with out the Holy Spirit will not be taken, and the door into the Bridegroom's house will be shut in front of them, and when they protest they will be told by Him, "I do not know you."

They will be left behind to endure the 70th Week. Hopefully they will be among those whose white robes are washed in the Blood of the Lamb or who are martyred because of their faith and are seen in Revelation 7:9-17.

  16. Hartdawg,

I don't want to over simplify anything but it seems like you are connecting our harpazo with the 70th week TOO MUCH.

What I am meaning is all those wars / conflicts will happen before the 70th week, True. But we really don't know how that relates to our harpazo other than the nearness of the harpazo... The Bible tells us when we see these things begin to happen look up, our redemption draws near. But doesn't tell us that we will actually see the Gog Magog conflict etc. but we can use scripture to understand that the conflict will happen before the 70th week. We could be taken away this afternoon and Gog Magog wont occur for another 4 years...

Know what I am trying to get at?

  17. Sean,

I just read the verses (2 Kings 1-15) that you cited, and wow (as underwhelming as that is) is all can say. Clearly, Elijah's catching up was widely communicated. I must confess that I grew a little disheartened through the second half of 2015. So many relevent events occurred, and we're still here. I'm ready to go, but I know there must be more to do...so be it, His will not mine. It does give me great hope that there will be some direct indication before we are caught up....aside from the multitude of signs. Just today, the small voice inside of me gave me the feeling of "not too much longer now". I think it was a spiritual pat on the back, and a confirmation to finish strong. Sometimes I think that voice is the self-serving side of me that wants to hear what I want to hear. Discernment is vital all of the time, but more so in these times. Regardless, I really appreciate your shedding that light....well done!

Also, I have heard the parable of the 10 virgins taught that it occurs in the 70th week as a description of people not being indwelt by the Holy Spirit....and needing to "work out their salvation" as it were. That parable says that you know not the hour or the day your master returns. From the onset of the 70th week, seems anyone who wants to know will know the general timing of the Lord's return, so again I think this fits your description of the parable being pre-70th week. Just a thought.

  18. I know what you mean Ken... and I've discussed many of these things previously in blog items and comments...

Things such as Ezekiel 38/39 makes no mention of a Temple or ritual worship on Mount Moriah, thereby indicating it is clearly a pre-70th Week prophetic fulfillment. We know the Temple will be standing and rituals occurring during the first 42 months which is the term of the Two Witnesses ministry in Jerusalem according to what is revealed in Revelation.

There is a belief among some that since there was no gap of time between when Noah completed loading the ark (in the very often completely overlooked final seven days) and when the flood came, they apply that to the Harpazo's occurrence.

I find it hard to fathom how Noah's sons and their wives did not know what was about to happen and when it would happen via either Noah telling them directly, or their seeing with their own eyes God leading two of every unclean animal and seven of every clean animal directly into the ark for all of those final seven days. They ALL had to know exactly what was about to happen one way or another, it was so very unambiguous.

And we also know that the Church Age will end with the last gentile coming to faith in Christ, and only God the Father, who has known the end from the beginning, will know what that moment occurs. It is at that point the Father will send His Son to collect the bride.

  20. Hi Sean and fellow watchers,
I truly believe the Parable of the Ten Virgins is about the church and our need to
be filled with the Holy Spirit! During a Sunday school class at that Lutheran
church I used to attend, not anymore I promise you, they were talking about this parable. As you can imagine they had no idea that the oil in the virgins lamps was
symbolically referring to the Holy Spirit and our need for Him. Incredible!
Now to my question. I've read about Noah and that God told him he had seven days before the flood. Maybe God had to tell him in advance because of the animals he
had to get on the ark. We don't have that work to do. So, will we have warning
before the harpazo or are we going about our daily lives then we are gone.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hi Rhonda,

Perhaps that's correct, after the better part of a hundred years to construct the ark and acquire sustenance for all living things for forty days survival, the final seven days were God's time table for the "All Aboard" command.

Still, it was seven days of notice before the main event.

    ReplyDelete
  22. So, to clarify, do you think we will have advanced warning of the rapture before
it actually happens? I'm asking because I've never thought about that before. I
always thought we would be here one second and with the Lord the next second. Thank
you for your thoughts on this matter. Oh, did you watch JD's prophecy update on
Sunday? He mentions the Iran/Saudi conflict and how it relates to Ezekiel 38.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Rhonda,

I am basically asking folks to be Bereans on this issue as I have been.

For a very long time now the teaching of a great many interpreters has always been of a "secret harpazo."

The first aspect of the "secret harpazo" is that Jesus comes, catches up His bride but nobody actually sees Him. The second aspect is the harpazo must be secret so that Satan cannot interfere with it.

The first problem I have with this is that when Jesus was Himself caught up into Heaven the disciples all physically saw Him rise into the sky. In the next instant two angels are standing there and what they say makes the coming harpazo of the bride of Christ anything but a secret. The angels said (with emphasis added)"

"Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."

You know how many Bible teachers I've heard who actually taught this fact? Exactly zero.

So, after this I thought, 'if these teachers got this plain text Bible teaching wrong, what else is there about the Harpazo they are teaching that is not correct or not discussed.'

And therein lies what I found by being a Berean, testing that teaching by reading the Word. I recalled almost all Bible teachers what have said about Noah and the Ark being a simile or a template for the Harpazo event. Great, so let's read that narrative. Lo and behold, there it was in plain text, seven days advance notice to Noah and likely his wife, sons and their wives, of when the judgment of God would fall upon the corrupted earth.

And I found by sheer omission in the short narrative about those final seven days, or even in the narrative dealing with the previous hundred years for that matter when the ark was being built and the essential supplies acquired and stored away, there was not one word about Satan attempting to circumvent or throw a wrench into God's plan to save the pure seed of Adam He found in Noah, and the animals who would survive to repopulate the earth.

At about this time I also discovered that the Harpazo is based upon the whole cloth of the ancient Hebrew betrothal scenario, that is it is based upon Torah Law. The Biblical narrative is parallel and essentially verbatim to that tradition, which is something all Jews would understand basically, although perhaps not on the ultimate Spiritual level. But I soon discovered through the Holy Spirit an understanding that the Hebrew betrothal was a virtual template of how the Harpazo will occur.

The thing here is that although the precise timing of the Groom's coming for the bride was not know (the day or hour of His arrival) is absolutely was preceded by a torchlight procession from the Father's house, where the Groom had prepared a place for the bride, to the house where the bride had been living since they had parted during the year-long engagement. The torch-light procession, which was loud and very celebratory, would stop just short before arriving at the house and a final great shout would announce the arrival of the Groom's arrival thus signaling to the bride that her actual departure with the Groom was not only at-hand, but now an imminent reality. With this she would go out to meet the Groom.

In this template I also see some fairly straight forward foreknowledge of the bride regarding the approach and arrival of the Groom's party. With this knowledge she is supposed to make final preparation to depart forever to be with her betrothed in their new abode.

In all of this I am of a mind to say, yes, while the day and the hour are not known, the watchful and truly prepared bride of Christ is well aware of the season, how long the Groom has been gone preparing a new place, and that immediately prior to His arrival she will know that he is coming by some sight or sound or other Spiritual discernment. This is a joyous occasion, a once in all of history event which is the exact opposite of a funeral.

By the way, it appears to me the media today are likely following their globalist political masters instructions and are downplaying the North Korean nuclear test that was conducted at 01:30 Zulu (GMT) on 6 JAN 2016.

I just checked seismic data and the detonation registered Magnitude 5.1 just below the surface of the earth, i.e. in a nuclear test tunnel/shaft.

A M5.1 detonation indicates a Hydrogen bomb was indeed tested.

That this may have not been a fully successful H-bomb test is completely irrelevant - even a failed H-bomb detonation is still powerful enough to utterly obliterate a large city of a million or more people.

I'd just like to ask one question that may seem open ended but I simply want to hear your understanding of the matter. I believe God has richly blessed you with a ministry here. I think God has given you incredible understanding of His Word for the purpose of preaching and warning the Bride. On top of that, you are well versed in political and military procedure and practice.

What do you believe will be the trigger and what kind of time frame do you expect for the events Asaph foretold to begin?
