Global SITREP E9-15: An Eschatological Year In Review

20 December 2015: The final SITREP of the current year will take a look at those eschatological things which are important to us as we continue to watch the signs pointing to our Lord's soon return in the clouds and a command with the voice of an archangel to "come up hither."

Firstly, there is no longer remains any issue with with the firm placement of Ezekiel 38/39 as a pre-70th Week prophetic fulfillment. In a direct response to prayer seeking clarity on the issue, the Lord has shown through the Scripture of Ezekiel 38/39, Romans 11 and The Revelation of Jesus Christ that there will be two kinds of Israel in the context of the 70th Week just as there are currently two kinds of Israel in the context of the present pre-70th Week context.

One is clearly remaining in disbelief; living in rejection of Jesus who came in His Father's name as the promised Messiah. This is the Israel that will fulfill our Lord's prophetic words (John 5:43) at the start of the 70th Week when they receive the false messiah who comes in his own name.

The other is the true Spiritual Israel; it is they who will know the "I Am" who is the Lord their God (Ezekiel 38/39); it is they, all Israel, who will receive Jesus as Messiah; who will have the Spirit of God poured out upon them (Ezekiel 39:29). Their number is 144,000 and they will come, 12,000 individuals each, sealed with the sign of God on their foreheads from every tribe of the children of Israel (Revelation 7). It is these Jewish evangelists who will preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world during the 70th Week which will result in the innumerable saved souls seen in Revelation 7:9-17 who will "come out of the Great Tribulation" (the Megas Thlipsis) in robes washed white in the blood of the Lamb.

Speaking of Ezekiel 38/39, one of the most common threads in the newspaper eisegesis coming from the Islamic Antichrist (IA) theorists of late is that Turkey is the land of Magog, the home of Gog, the man who is also one and the same as the world deceiving and conquering Antichrist. The entire IA theorem is the most easily debunked, rebuked and reproofed of all end-times interpretations via the plain text of Scripture alone and real-world historical fact. The thing here is, facts continue to occur in world history, and we're living in the most important pre-70th Week fact-making periods that will ever exist.

Speaking of established facts, apparently none of these  purveyors of literary nonsense and their hoodwinked minions have ever bothered much to pay attention to established historical facts, both Biblical and real-world, so it should come as no great surprise that they pay even less attention to current events and the facts they are establishing in front of the eyes of the world.

One of the most glaring is that Turkey and Russia are literally at each others throats in military confrontation over Russia's intervention in Syria and the Turkish shoot-down of a Russian bomber in Turkish airspace for just 17 seconds. If anything these IA theorists are fond of propagating for cash were true, then the current situation in Western Asia should have suited itself very well towards a Turkish-Russian military alliance simultaneously opposing the wannabe Caliphate known as the Islamic State as well as the State of Israel. However, as can be seen by everyone, this is not the fact of the matter. Turkey, a now much militarily reinforced member of NATO, and Russia have been for a very few weeks a hairsbreadth from a shooting war, as are Turkey and the Shi'a Twelver theocracy ruling Iran and its Lebanese Hezbollah proxy. The greatest part of the Ezekiel 38/39 Magog confederation clearly lies to the north and northeast of the Caucasus Mountains.

Another fact is that after a five-year hiatus diplomatic relations between Turkey and Israel have turned one hundred eighty degrees from where they had been in the aftermath of the Mavi Marmara incident of 2010. Following intense and broadly-based negotiations between the two in Switzerland Turkey and Israel are in a position to resume their previously close alliance. The Russia-Turkey conflict near instantaneously shut off the bulk of Russian petroleum products flowing into Turkey. Stepping into this breach is an opportunistic Israel with its operational Tamar gas field, with the potential of billions of dollars worth of petroleum opportunities in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea being offered to the Turks. On this new threshold is a very lucrative partnership between Israel and Turkey that will based upon moving Israel's immense Leviathan natural gas field product into European markets through a Turkish pipeline. This relationship will revolve around the Delek Group of offshore developers and the Houston, Texas-based Noble Energy Corporation to fully develop the Leviathan and Tamar gas fields among a few others and get a good portion of the estimated total of  40 trillion cubic feet of natural gas product into Turkey via a direct pipeline.

So, are these resources the source of the many spoils of Israel referred to in Ezekiel's prophecy? Sure looks that way.

As we enter the year 2016 there are a plethora of things which will continue to have powerful prophetic implications. From the war in Syria, to Iranian nukes, to the newly established Saudi anti-jihadist military coalition and a resurgent NATO and morphing of the Western alliance to include more and more nations, to the technological arena and new reports of breakthroughs or quantum leaps in artificial intelligence (image of the beast), all of these and more will be watched and posted to this blog.

In the meantime, and in between updates... Marana'tha!

  1. Just a quick comment, the spiritual who will receive Jesus as their messiah will be more than 144,000. According to zechariah 1/3 of israel will be saved. I'm of the belief that the 144,000 in revelation 7 is the start of it, but at the end of the 70th week 1/3 of israel will be saved

  2. I am speaking only of those Jews who are referenced in Revelation 7.

Of course there are an innumerable number who have accepted Jesus as Messiah.

    1. .....and we both know the success those jews will have too. Which by the way gives lie to those replacement theology heretics.
I personally, I don't know how much longer the proverbial kettle will continue to boil. I been expecting the final fulfillment of psalm 83 since late 2006 but here we are 9 years later. I'm thinking that the only reason why things haven't exploded yet is the holy spirit s restraining force. That's all I can come up with anyway....just my opinion.

  3. hartdawg,

I have always believed that "replacement theology" is a very descriptive phrase of those people who reject the Word of God and replace it with their own theology.

In other words they are blasphemers of the very highest order, standing in denial of virtually everything that Paul wrote through the Holy Spirit and we read in the New Testament about Israel.

How can anyone read what Paul wrote in Romans 11, for example, and deny the prophetic truth about Israel today and in the 70th Week is in my view blasphemous in the extreme.

The pre-70th Week prophetic fulfillments we are anticipating are on the Lord's schedule; He's known the end from the beginning, and He's let us know that we are in the season through physical manifestations (the existence of Israel and other literal prophetic fulfillments) and Spiritual manifestations as well (they are so obvious as to make denial an impossibility).

    1. Your response kinda makes my next question moot:). I was going to ask you if you could see this senerio playing out much longer without seeing the conclusion of the prophecies in Isaiah 17 and psalm 83,not to mention Jeremiah 49, come to pass. Personally, I don't see it dragging out for more than a year, but that's just man's perspective. There's still a few years left in the "fig tree generation" and the Lord wants as many saved as possible.
Have a merry Christmas, I'm up here in Alaska visiting family.

    2. Hartdawg,
Me too, I think a few months to a year might be all there is left before the "flood" cuts loose.

    1. Nancy,
And I appreciate your taking the time to read this blog. Please ask if there is anything specific in eschatology that you're curious about.

  5. Hi Sean and hartdawg,
It was about nine years ago I started an excellent bible study group called BSF (Bible Study Fellowship), I'm sure I've mentioned it here before. It is all around the country and international as well. The book we studied my first year was Romans.
It changed my life!! I was baptized as an infant in the Lutheran Church Missouri
Synod, even though I lived in Iowa for most of my life. I was brought up in one of
those families that went to church every Sunday morning and made fun of the people that only came on Easter and Christmas. A large percentage of Sunday school lessons were from the old testament about the Jewish people Abraham, Sarah, Joseph and the coat of many colors, Moses and the parting of the Red Sea etc. The problem was they never taught the connection of those Jewish patriarchs and the State of Israel. It wasn't until BSF when I finally realized something was "off" in their teaching. The theology of the church replacing Israel was very subtle. I never remembered hearing that the church replaced Israel until I started asking questions. When I told my pastor and some of the elders that I had learned that the Jewish people were God's chosen people and they would have a time of their own redemption and God had not replaced them, I was called a heretic. My question to you and your readers is what now for them. They teach the gospel, that Jesus is the only way to the Father but they are blind about Israel and the Jewish people. This lack of understanding wouldn't keep them from salvation right? I also had a problem with the teaching that we were eating Jesus actual body and drinking His blood in communion. I told them I believed the elements represented Jesus' body and blood not His literal body. Then I really got in trouble. I was told I could not take communion at the church again. They said I would be unworthy! What do you think will happen to these Lutherans and I believe Catholics teach the same thing? It was when I read and studied Romans 11 and I think 13 as well that I knew they were blind to the truth.

    1. Again, Romans 11 & Revelation 7 are very unambiguous prophetic chapters regarding modern-day Judaism (Israel). Denial of their true meaning is intentional blasphemy of the Spirit, and there is a price to be paid by those who do so.

    Hi Sean,

Just seeking an important update from you on the Mideast Turkey vers Russia in northern Syria situation:

Russia sources are now talking of a buildup of Turkish forces on the Syrian border in preparation for a major "invasion" into Northern Syria, presumably on the public pretext of supporting beleaged fellow ethnic Turkmen populations.

Given your strategic intelligence knowledge are you leaning towards this being likely ? - and if so how could that fit into the biblical prophetic picture.

    Shalom - Marantha,

    Rob

  7. Rob,

The only source I have seen thus far which says Turkey is massing troops for an invasion of Syria has its origin in Russia, and that means it is propaganda.

The quote making the rounds today is from Igor Konashenkov of the Russian Defense Ministry:

"“The Russian defence ministry registers a growing number of signs of hidden preparation of the Turkish armed forces for active actions on the territory of Syria.”

The Turkish military forces on the border are at the moment largely preoccupied with handling a wave of 70,000 Syrian refugees who are fleeing the Russian Air Force's indiscriminate carpet bombing around Aleppo.

There is nothing new to add to what has already been stated regarding Syria and the prophecies of Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 40:23-27.
