24 September 2018: The end-game in Syria is no longer about rebels. Now it's all about a big powers (i.e. nuclear powers) face-off: Russia, Syria and Iran versus Israel, the U.S. and our allies.
We've already addressed the details found in Jeremiah 49:23-27 and Isaiah 17 many times over. I went over all of that material again in recent hours, and then it hit me like a brick.
Consider this question: Is Israel alone capable of causing the destruction of Syria as a nation? If you think so, think it over again. Re-read the prophecies, pray over them, ask our Father about them.
Having done that, and to that end, here's some key info I'm sure needs our re-consideration.
The prophetic text of Isaiah tells us clearly that many nations rush into the war in Syria. They are there today. Russia, Iran, USA, UK, France... and the list goes on. They rushed in and will soon make extremly hasty exits. Damscus destroyed, a ruinous heap of rubble; Syria no longer a nation among the nations of the world.
As important in the coming catastrophe is that Israel will take significant damage. Isaiah says so. Believe it. Why does this happen? Most likely because Israel is still in unbelief; they've not yet returned to Covenant relations with the Lord; He's not yet poured out His Spirit upon them.
[Side bar: It won't be like this for Israel during Ezekiel 38/39. That's when God will intervene directly to save Israel from physical destruction, pour out His Spirit upon them and the Covenant relationship is then rapidly restored. Let me cut this short before getting too far ahead.]
Remember, the Lord knows what is about to happen, and He makes use of this for His sovereign purposes - foremost among them is to bring Israel back into the Covenant relationship, and that leads Israel into eternal salvation in Christ Jesus.
[Another side bar: We just considered recently when the Lord will shake the heavens, thereby moving the earth and stars out of their places. We saw through that study of prophecy that this occurs in the beginning of the latter half of the 70th Week. The Temple is defiled via the Abomination of Desolation; Israel flees into the wilderness for safekeeping. So, there's no one counting the days, no Sanhedrin during those last 42 months sighting the new moon, quite simply because it won't be where it's supposed to be. Nothing will be in the heavens above, as we know them today, where they are supposed to be. There will no longer be any purpose for the sun, moon and stars as the Lord intended in Genesis 1:14 and as Jesus proclaimed in Matthew 24:29. Again, cutting this short.]
It is my belief that the pre-70th Week prophetic flood begins with the disaster in Syria foretold by Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49:23-27. We know it's all downhill from there, but an unbelieving world continues on marrying and giving in marriage. It is not far off, but very, very close at hand. I believe this because very serious ultimatums and threats - even as you read this - are being issued by both sides of this conflict. These are not easily walked back. Very suddenly all pretense of deconfliction of military forces in this arena will evaporate like dew in the morning sun.
Russia, in the aftermath of the IL-22M Coot-A shotdown, and for which it bears sole responsibility, has made blunder upon blunder. A cascade of blunders. Russia seeks to woo Turkey away from NATO as a strategic Russian ally. The Idlib invasion was called off for this reason; Trukey fighting Russia, Syria and Iran in Iblib was a non-starter in Russia's strategicm long-game view. Why would Russia need warm water ports and airfields in Syria when many more of the same might be found on Turkey's southern coastline on the Mediterranean Sea? It's a no-brainer. If it comes down to it Russia would jettison Syria like a bad habit if it could secure a strategic alliance with the Turks.
Push will eventually come to shove, possibly unintentionally, as the fiasco of the IL-22M shootdown has demonstrated. When this happens everything, and that means the billions upon billions of rubles that Russia has invested in Syria will literally go up in smoke and ash. Russia will then seek recompense against Israel in earnest. This will occur shortly after the Psalm 83, Isaiah 11, Ezekiel 28 conflict resolves into its ultimate fulfillment, and the enigmatic Gog has risen to power in Russia. This we know all so well according to the prophet Ezekiel. Consider also, as we have many times previously, there is no Syria in the Psalm 83, Isaiah 11 or Ezekiel 28 prophetic narratives. There's only Lebanon, Jordan, the Sinai, Gaza plus Judea and Samaria (including Jerusalem) involved.

Sean,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update! Coincidence that this happened one year after the Revelation 12 sign?
Maranatha!

Justin,
ReplyDeleteAll I know for sure is that 'things' are moving more swiftly in the past year; flood gates about to burst me thinks.
It wasn't Israel that hid behind the aircraft that was shotdown; to the contrary Russia is hiding behind it, or at least tryling to hid behind it.
Syrian air defenses were a shambles until the Russians took over the Syrian air defense network. The Russians are responsible for the shootdown of their aircraft.
Essentially this is no different than when the Russians blamed the US for the sinking of their Kursk submarine.
I'm thinking seriously that Isaiah 17 will be fulfilled WITHIN the next 2 years. I could be wrong but it's sure looking like that
ReplyDeleteI'm of the opinion that it'll be sooner than 2 years. I'm thinking in terms of months.
ReplyDeleteThis SITREP D3-18 is basically my own personal assessment of the current situation; how it has morphed away from being a civil war in Syria to become the East v West nuclear power showdown most folks assumed would occur in Europe in the late 20th Century or early 21st Century.
ReplyDeleteNo one foresaw Syria as being the site of the showdown, but as I read Isaiah 17 this is precisely how I interpret it. Now and moving forward in time we'll see if my assessment is valid or not.
Now there's a potential timeline for my assessment. The countdown clock starts ticking the moment the eight S-300 air defense systems are unloaded in Syria. It will hit zero the instant one of those systems begins tracking an IAF aircraft. This also applies to US aircraft.
ReplyDeleteThe Jeremiah 49:34-39 clock could also go into countdown if Iran follows through on its threat to launch ballistic missile strikes on Abu Dhabi, UAE and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
ReplyDeleteStay tuned...
It's has been stated here ad nauseum to beware of media disinformation, particular with regards to the war in Syria.
ReplyDeleteWell, here is the lastest whopper making the rounds.
Reports: The Russian electronic warfare (EW) system Krasukha-4 has been deployed to Syria for the first time as a result of the Russian spy plane being shot down.
Fact: The Russian Krasukha-4 EW system has been deployed to the Hmeimim Air Base in Latakia since early October 2015. (That's 3 full years for those keeping track of media rubbish reports).
Is this some kind if a major threat? No, and it hasn't been since 2015.
How many airstrikes has the IAF conducted in Syria since October 2015? Hundreds and all were very successful in destroyed their intended targets.
Next thing. The S-300 is also being reported by many as a big problem for Israel.
Again, the is a falsehood. Israeli pilots have been training against the S-300 systems originally purchased by Cyprus but now in service with the Greek Army. This was reported here a couple years ago.
Two OSINT items.
ReplyDelete1. US Intelligence has warned of potential for Iran-linked militias in Syria to launch attacks on US forces in Syria. SECDEF Mike Pompeo and NSA John Bolton responded to this intel saying (a) if the Iranian proxies attack us, we'll attack Iran as the source of the attack, (b) our response upon Iranian military forces will be a hellish nightmare for them.
2. Russia has taken over Syria's T4 Air Base. In so doing Iranian forces have had to evacuate the base. Russia is installing the S-300 (NATO: SA-10 Grumble) SAM system at the T4 Air Base.
Heaven help the Russians if these SAM systems target US or IAF aircraft.
Glad to see the blog somewhat active again it was oddly quiet the last week. I pray everyone is doing well.
ReplyDeleteEd,
ReplyDeleteThe inactivity has traditionally been due to the info posted here being weeks ahead of the actual events.
The recent inactivity probably means we're waiting for real-world events to catch up. It's hard as a group to discuss that which has not yet occurred. ;)
That is true lol
ReplyDeleteThe IAF's F-35I Adir has already been in action over Syria - and will be again when new missions against Iranian or Hezbollah targets are ordered.
ReplyDeleteThe F-35I has also conducted flight operations over "the entire Middle East." That speaks volumes at a high volume!
It will be months before Syrian troops will be capable of coherent operation of the S-300 battery deployed to the T4 (Tiras) Air Base.
Thanks Sean, we'll keep watching!
ReplyDeleteGreat Granny, are you out there? Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteJustin
Justin,
ReplyDeleteGG5 is fine; she was tweeting this afternoon. She'll be back here pretty soon.
IDF: Reinforcements are being deployed today around Gaza. These reinforcements include snipers, infantry and armoured forces as well as Iron Dome batteries.
ReplyDeleteIt occurs that with the transfer and deployment of S-300 to "Syrian" forces at T4 Air Base it is now time for Part III of this Syrian War Endgame series...
