Global SITREP D6-18: Has The Jordanian "Breaking Point" Taken Place?

This map shows the Naharayim/Bequra region at the confluence of the Jordan and Yarmuk Rivers. Israel lies to the West and North, while Jordan lies to the Southeast. The base map is a 1:20,000 map by the Survey of Israel (1953). Also shown is the region (now called Peace Island) that was accorded special treatment by the 1994 Israel-Jordan peace treaty, taken from the map in Appendix IV of that treaty.

21 October 2018: Sooner or later a previous SITREP or multiple SITREPs return to the fore because Eschatology Today is based fully upon Bible prophecy. This is the case again with the announcement this morning from King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan that it has exercised a one-year notification option to cancel this land lease annex to the 1994 Peace Treaty with Israel. The annex leased two fairly small parcels of land of about 4 square miles in total (Naharayim/Baqura and Tzofar/Ghumar) to Israel for twenty-five years.

Eschatology Today thinks this action by the Jordanian government amounts to an attempt at appeasement of the Islamist Palestinian majority living in Jordan, within which HAMAS (al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun) has always been the key powerbroker. The insigificance of the land in question has no bearing on tactical or strategic issues between Israel and Jordan. The abrogation of the treaty's Annex I is merely Abdullah II appearing to show that he can take something away form Israel; to stand up to Israel and pay no price for doing so. He's dead wrong in his calculus.

Since this action gains absolutely nothing for Jordan unless it is a first small step to something much larger, such as the "great upheaval" in Jordan discussed in previous Global SITREP's B4-17: Is Jordan Nearing a Breaking Point, and B10-13: The Jordan Valley, then that is what it is, part of a larger agenda at play. There also may well be an attachment of this issue to what was discussed in SITREP C9-18: The Price to be Paid. A review of those three SITREPs will serve as a refresher for the fulfillment of Psalm 83, Isaiah 11:14 and Ezekiel 28:24-26 which grow ever closer.

  1. Before looking for the 70th week, I am looking for Ezekiel 38&39, before looking for Ezekiel 38&38, I am looking for psalm 83, but before even looking for psalm 83 I have been looking for Jordan to break its peace treaty with Israel. That is the piece of the puzzle that I have been looking for.

  2. Precisely the point of the Jordan-centric SITREPs posted sine 2013.

    The differences between the Psalm 83 Arabs and those of the Sheba and Dedan alliance become more pronounced with each passing month.

  3. Well who'd have guessed that Tzipi Livni would have the same view as Eschatology Today on the Jordanian abrogation of the treaty.

    1. Isn't she a liberal who supports Israel giving up land?

  4. That's not the issue with Tzipi. She recognizes the disaster that has resulted from Israel's giving up Gaza.

    She's a Zionist who now believes in a two-state solution, Israel for Jews, and a "Palestine" for "Palestinians."

    She rejects the "right of return" of palestinian refugees to Israel because it is the antithesis of a two-state solution. Tzipi says palestinian refugees have a right to return only to a palestinian state.

    All that aside, the point is that Tzipi believes the abrogation of the Israel-Jordan treaty annex portends for even worse issues to result - and this matches what I wrote above in the SITREP.

    1. That's a fact!

      The "all Israel" who emerge after the Harpazo and are represented (at a minimum) by the 144,000. Ezekiel 39:29.

      Yet, the Israelis of the State of Israel will still enter into the covenant (treaty) to be confirmed by Antichrist.

      No different than those Israeli leaders who've made covenants (treaties) with the false god of Islam in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Egypt 20-some odd years ago.

      They habitually reject following the true God of their fathers, to spiritually fornicate with false gods and dark powers.

  6. Along with the other "dispicable im bedded one" dispersed throughout the USA and Israel! What do you suppose God has been doing all of this time, keeping a careful watch on His Beloved, and not already prepared to send His People out to stop their devious plans of destruction? Remember, "no weapon formed against us will prosper" and also, "Greater is HE who is in YOU than he who is in the world"! But for that matter, think "when the enemy comes in, like a flood God raises up a banner against him!" Now go study the biblical meaning of the word "raise up" and then "banner"!

    Love to all and
    Shalom, Shalom!

  7. In the near-term future when we return to the subject of Jordan, we'll return most likely to update this SITREP.

    If you read Isaiah 11:14 (a sub-set verse linked to Psalm 83), it is clear as a bell that Gaza and Jordan (Edom, Moab and Ammon) are inextricably linked together in the coming battles.

    "But they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the west;
    Together they shall plunder the people of the East;
    They shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab;
    And the people of Ammon shall obey them."

    For now.... moving on to current events.
