Global SITREP B4-24: How Close Are We?

Iranian Advanced Centrifuge Display

09 August 2024: The past ten months have been a continual and literal fulfillment of our Lord's words from His Olivet Discourse on the Mount of Olives, particularly that part where our hearing of "wars and rumors of wars" is concerned. He assured us that "these things must take place, but the end is not yet." We're directed not to fear their occurrence, but to see them as literal signs of His coming again. Amen.

In all of the current conjecturing and speculation about what the enemies of Israel will or will not do, the image above is to remind that the Twelver regime in Iran continues to make steady, unabated progress in acquisition of HEU for a nuclear weapon. The advanced technology being deployed in this endeavor increases month by month and has taken on an increased impetus since Iran's thwarted conventional direct attack upon Israel in April 2024. Current thinking on the potential of a successful Iranian and proxy attack on Israel would almost certainly result in an Israeli and possibly a US counter-strike on Iranian nuclear weapons related facilities.

Is this where the dire prophetic narratives of Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49:34-39 fit into events of the very near future? There's a real reason for the mass exodus of civilians from Iran as well as the destruction of Damascus and of the Syrian state these prophets speak of. Again, we're not to fear these things coming to pass but to see them for what they are in the ever-accelerating run-up to the 70th Week of Years.

IAF Strike Package on a pratical, reciprocal bearing training mission
Boeing 707 Refueler, F-35I and F-15I aircraft were on this mission last week.

UPDATE 18 August 2024: The assessment as of this date is for the ceasefire and hostage negotiations to fail in the coming week when HAMAS rejects the "deal."

The rejection will likely result in Iranian and proxy force attacks on Israel followed by Israel's direct response. The Israeli response will, as expected by IDF Command, result in "catastrophic consequences" for Lebanon. It remains to be seen if the Coalition Forces (CENTCOM, et.al) will actively participate in the Israel response against Iran.

If this assessment pans out Global SITREP B5-24 will then be published.

  2. The Russian war in Ukraine has taken an unexpected turn - Ukraine invaded Russia proper a couple of days ago (noted in B3-24 comments). The Ukrainian troops have pressed their attack along 3 axes into Kursk Oblast to a depth of 35kms or so against conscript Russian troops mostly. Most knowledgable sources are staying mum on what the Ukrainian objectives might be. Eschatology Today notes that this incursion into "Mother Russia" comes at a time when Western/NATO armor and F-16 fighters have joined Ukrainian formations.

The signs in our sun are exceptional. They're not in the past tense as they continue to explode with regularity on the highest scale. C and M-class flares are impressive enough, but I believe there's a unprecedented number of X-class flares popping off in recent weeks, both on the sun side facing the earth and on the side facing away from us.

X-class flares have release more energy than a billion thermonuclear weapons in an instant, by far the largest explosions in our solar system!

  5. The question: "How Close Are We?" has several answers and each depends on a given point of view (POV).

If the POV is with respect to the Harpazo, the correct response is one of imminency.

If the POV is with respect to the war in Gaza, the correct response is the one given by IDF officers in a signed letter to their Commander, as published HERE

It should be plainly obvious that these IDF offiers are 100% correct.

    1. Furthermore, these officers are 100% correct because the doctrine of warfare they adhere to and avocate for is the same as the doctrine God gave to Moses who gave it to Joshua to execute. This doctrine is detailed explicitly in Joshua 11.

    3. Bro Sean; The same thing really is happening now, isn't it? Hardening of the enemy's hearts I mean. Joshua 11 is absolutely brutal; which is realistically, the only thing that will effectively end the 'pricking briar' plaguing Israel at present. And these officers are coming forward like this, just in time for Joshua 13. Bro. Steve.

  7. Don't know if the IDF will preempt the coming attack, but wouldn't be surprised.

I'm thinking a massive counter-attack might be more likely and then a multi-front campaign to remove all sticky briers from Israel's midst.

The IDF CoS has approve a multi-front battle plan.

    Go as Joshua.

  8. Tremendous events on Temple Mount today as two MKs ascend with more than 1,600 fellow Jews, to pray, to prostrate themselves, praying for victory and control of the Mount of God.

Israel will strike Iran irregardless of the outcome of their attacks; two large drones appraoching the Israeli border from Lebanon were shot of out the sky while still in Lebanon's airspace.

    1. No surprise at all Ben Gvir is one of them (2 MK's).

I also noted several comments from observers and participants, taking a satirical poke at the (planned & failed) objectives of the islamic 'Al Aqsa Flood' operation (e.g. "Those who wanted to see the Al-Aqsa Flood, received over 40,000 Jews this year, strengthening Jewish sovereignty on the Temple Mount").

Definitely a reinvigorated Israel - one that is fed up with pricking briars. Bro. Steve

  9. The problem in Israel is the current government, mostly the politcal part of Likud, they're feckless, of no utility in fulfilling the Lord's will.

Itamar Ben Gvir and the Orthodox have my support, along with the Officers who wrote the letter noted above that mirrors Joshua 11.

  10. Why was there no reference in Scripture to the April attack from the Persian enemy. Not necessary because none made it into Israel to cause damage?
And for the current threat, is there no Scripture reference because it also will fail to materialize?
We have the most sound basis there exists to believe these things.

The Exception is Isaiah 17, but that involves Aram Damascus, Aram Syria.

    1. Surprised no Berean student of the Holy Bible would touch on this issue.

So I will cut to the chase. There is nothing in Scripture, prophetic or otherwise, or in history for that matter, about armed conflict between Persia (Iran) and Israel. Zero, zip, nada.

      Delete
    2. Bro. Sean; That is a really interesting point. God says that HE will break the bow of Elam. He also says that HE HIMSELF will drive the Sidonians (Hezbollah et al) 'out before the Israelites'.

Given the known 2-way links between Iran and Hezbollah, it would be consistent with Hashem dealing with that particular (joint) adversary at a direct level. The inference being that the IDF (& Michael) takes care of the other 'pricking briars' - to become a land of unwalled villages; recovery from war.

Perhaps a warning / precursor to His direct and summary destruction of the entirety of the Gog-led invaders at Ez. 38-39? Bro. Steve

    3. So, you're saying that there's no scripture regarding an attack by Iran on Israel because it either won't happen, or that God will protect Israel from casualties?
Also, I'm curious if you think the current Ukraine invasion of Russia is a catalyst of Russia to turn against Israel? The Hook in the jaw if you will?

    4. Bro. Steve,

A careful reading of Jeremiah 49:34-39 reveals God issueing
      seven "I will's."

Anytime God says He is going to do specific, sequential, non-benevolent things to an entire nation... we might want to pay attention before that wrath falls.

      Delete
    5. Bro. Sean; This is interesting indeed. I counted 8 'I wills' - number eight being in v.39 - and referencing restoring Elam's fortunes at a future time. Total 180 from the other 7.

What do you make of this? The Persians and Israelites actually had a frequently good relation pre-islam. Is there some sort of reconciliation / mass-salvation post-Ez.38-39 (post-Harpazo?). Certainly the Church in Iran is growing like wildfire. Thoughts? Bro. Steve

      Delete
    6. Bro. Steve,

I believe the 7 "I wills" as pre-70th week of years, and the 8th as during the Millennial Reign of Christ. Other than that, 100% agreement.

    7. To repeat... this is unambiguous...

There is nothing in Scripture, prophetic or otherwise, or in history for that matter, about armed conflict between Persia (Iran) and Israel. Zero, zip, nada.

  12. What about Jeremiah 49..breaking the bow of Elam. I thought Elam was Iran.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Mags: My understanding of the point Bro. Sean is making here, is that it is God Himself who will take directly care of "the bow of" Elam (basically their offensive military capacity). He expresses a similar intent in Josh 13:6 - vis. personally dealing with the 'Sidonians' (God says: "I myself") - which can be reasonably contrued to be Hezbollah & friends.

Contrast with for example, Isaiah 11:14 - where "They" ('They', being the Israelites) will: "...swoop down on the slopes of Philistia to the west;..." (basically conquer Gaza - which we are seeing now in real time).

If I have got this wrong, feel free to correct. Bro. Steve.

    2. Bro. Steve,

Nothing wrong. The point being made here is the same exact point made on Eschatology Today for the past 9 years. This is the last time it will be made because nobody but God know if there is time for yet another repeat. Here is where it began, just for the record.

    3. I have to follow the above with this. I've not seen any other expositor make these observations (interpretations); this is how the Spirit has led me.

      JEREMIAH 49:34-37

"34 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,

(PAY ATTENTION! At this time Judah was a conquered vassal state of the Babylonian Empire under under its King Nebuchadnezzar.

Nebuchadnezzar installed Mattaniah as his vassal king over Judah, and decreed that his name be changed to Zedekiah.) This is the preface to Jeremiah's prophecy against Elam (Iran).

      The prophecy, verses 35-37 follow:

35 “Thus says the Lord of hosts:
‘Behold, I will break the bow of Elam,
      The foremost of their might.
36 Against Elam I will bring the four winds
From the four quarters of heaven,
      And scatter them toward all those winds;
There shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go.
37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies
And before those who seek their life.
I will bring disaster upon them,
      My fierce anger,’ says the Lord;
‘And I will send the sword after them
      Until I have consumed them.
      "

“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?”

  21. It's becoming a recurrent theme where US-media, being parroted by most Israeli media and regional Arab Muslim media, are reporting blatant disinformation and bald-faced lies in an agenda designed to save HAMAS and PIJ terrorists from extinction in Gaza. The most egregious of these originated with the WaPo and PBS' Judy Woodruff and were themselves based upon pure nothingness, complete fabrications. (Asserting that PM Netanyahu had agreed to abandon the Philadelphi and Netzarim corridors, and allow HAMAS to reconstitute and re-occupy the whole of Gaza).

This is how ongoing wars can receive a dousing of high-octane gasoline to create a far greater conflagration.

The media intention of harming Israel to save Ikhwan Muslimun (muslim brotherhood) terrorists sponsored by the IRGC-QF will certainly backfire by orders of magnitude, as Scripture confirms.

    ReplyDelete
  22. By now everyone should be aware that the Gaza terrorists had murdered in cold blood by gunfire (as opposed to the media parlance "killed") the six hostages recently recovered. The IDF believes they were murdered as the terrorists determined the IDF had launched a multi-faceted rescue operation to free them.

Who negotiates with such inhumane animals? War crimes on steroids. But these tunnel rat terrorists deserve dignity, humanitarian sustenance and to live in peace within a state of their own on Israel's borders according to the Left? There's not been folly such as this since Munich in 1938. The Holocaust of six million Jews soon followed that fiasco.

    1. The answer to the above is found in the Scripture of Joshua 1:1-9. The Lord's promise of verse 4...

("From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.")

...has never been revoked by the Lord, which also means that no man or group of men can alter it in any way.

All Israel need do is cleave to the subsequent verses of Joshua 1: 5-9.

This is the way in which Ezekiel 28:24-26 will be fulfilled.

Again, to all Israel, go as Joshua!

      Delete
    2. So, in the clearest, most unambiguous way possible, what is being said here is that while we do not know specifics of what or how the promise of God will occur, it will nevertheless occur exactly as prophetic Scripture says it will occur.

I believe Israel now stands on the threshold of the fearsome events that will result in fulfillment.

  25. Israel launched a massive preemptive strike in Lebanon. 100 IAF strike aircraft struck thousands of Hezbollah's rocket launchers that were remotely timed to strike Israel at 5 AM this morning. Hezbollah announce just prior to its planned attack that the time had come to avenge its assassinated mikitary commander. They did not take Israel at its word to do everything necessary to defend against an attack.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The mass preemptive strikes by Israel on Hezbollah early Sunday morning largely blunted the terrorist attack to avenge Fuad Shukr.

Israel reports the attack was 210 rockets and 20 drones (230); Hezbollah claims 320 were launched. While the vast majority were either destroyed prior to launch or were destroyed in the air some did get through to cause damage and injuries. No strategic targets in Israel were hit.

The IDF/IAF have a standing order to defend the homefront as necessary. Adm. Daniel Hagari said this week will be dangerous. Nasrallah will speak in four hours time.

Most are saying this battle was just a major escalation and not the onset of full-scale war, but anything can happen and probably will without notice.

The region is an active war zone no different than Gaza and that means during the course of IDF combat operations civilians will be evacuated to "humanitarian" areas to save lives.

Iran has been smuggling advanced weapons of every description into Judea and Samaria to open another war front within Israel. The smuggling is coming through Jordan.

IDF operations in Tulkarem, Jenin and other urban locations are in progress at this time to eliminate the entire terrorist network.

This is, by prophetic definition, the Psalm 83 War.
