Global SITREP B7-25: Unintended Consequences

30 September 2025: What comes next following PM Netanyahu's unmandated acceptance of Trump's "end the war" plan? A potential landslide of unintended consequences from Trump's grandiose Nobel Peace Prize gambit is more than likely to be unrestricted warfare.

3 October 2025: President Trump today issued on his Truth Social platform a "last chance" ultimatum to HAMAS to accept his peace plan by 6 PM Eastern Daylight Time, Sunday, October 5. 

Trump claims 25,000 HAMAS soldiers have already been killed and the remainder will be hunted down to suffer the same fate if his peace plan is not accepted. According to Trump the remaining HAMAS soldiers "are surrounded and MILITARILY TRAPPED, just waiting for me to give the word, “GO,” for their lives to be quickly extinguished."

UPDATE 5 October 2025: Let's face facts, Trump's 3 or 4 day ultimatum to the Islamic jihadists (<i>let that sink in as to who and what they are, their religious ideology and what they did to 1,200 innocent human beings on 7OCT23</i>) has been an abject failure. 

Eschatology Today wrote early on that it would be impossible for the Islamic jihadists to abide by Trump's dictate proposal to end the war. And they haven't. The jihadis have balked at the three most basic conditions of releasing all hostages within 72 hours, complete disarmament and renunciation of any future role in Gaza, nevermind the remaining seventeen or so items of Trump's proposal.

There are still <i>thousands</i> of heavily armed jihadists in Gaza with hundreds of hidden arsenals and undiscovered tunnel redoubts. This is beside the fact that Islamic jihadists never surrender to a non-islamic enemy. For 1,400 years no such surrender has ever taken place. Not even once. 

So, does anyone truly believe that in twelve hours time (6 PM Washington time) HAMAS and Palestinian Islamic Jihad will surrender, disarm and release all living and deceased hostages?

By the way, since the Trump plan was made public the IDF has NOT relented from its combat operations in Gaza but has increased them.

The areas in yellow indicate the six localized areas that reportedly (for the time being) will be excluded from sovereign eretz Israel.

8 Septermber 2025: The HAMAS terror attack at Ramot Junction this morning strongly indicates the map above may be nothing more than a trial balloon of wishful thinking as all of the yellow-colored urban areas are infested with islamic terror cells. The IDF will have to subdue each of them.

14 September 2025: Once again the Yesha Council has demanded that PM Netanyahu immediately declare Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria. Their slogan is "Palestine or Sovereignty." 

Today's Yesha Council demand comes after the UNGA last week overwhelmingly voted for a non-binding resolution to recognize a non-existant palestinian state within Israel's borders. There remains just over one week before France and Saudis, with considerable EU backing, unilaterally recognize an independent terrorist state in Judea and Samaria.

PM Bibi Netanyahu is almost certainly plum out of options since this can of worms can no longer be kicked any further. He must annex and declare full sovereignty which will be an act on par with Israel's declaration of independence 77 years ago.

IDF Armored Forces Enter Gaza City

16 September 2025: The government of the State of Israel this Tuesday morning confirmed what Eschatology Today stated in commentary on Monday, 15 September, and several times previously in recent days - the full scale ground invasion and conquest of sprawling Gaza City (Operation Gideon's Chariots II) is now underway. 

The complete destruction by IAF air power of more than 50 high-rise buildings, which previously dominated the Gaza City skyline, was preliminary to massive, heavy IDF ground forces rolling in like an armored tsunami.

We can reasonably expect the rest of this current week to be unlike anything witnessed in a very, very long time.

However, it is not enough to dwell upon these current events, as this is a time (we all know it!) to focus again on the LORD's prophetic word, the true reason for Eschatology Today to exist.

We are to be witnesses to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 28:24 and the removal of HAMAS in Gaza as a pricking brier. Make no mistake, as the LORD makes clear through Ezekiel 28:25-26, He is executing judgments on all those around Israel. These two verses clearly point to the condition of Israel in Ezekiel 38/39, the concluding judgment prior to the 70th Week of Years (Thlipsis and Megas Thlipsis).

So, now all of the "pricking briers" will receive His executed judgments. Psalm 83 is a primary overview, as is Joshua 13:1-7, as is Isaiah 11 and 17, plus Jeremiah 49. The Egyptians would do well not to ignore Isaiah 19 - but they will because they've submitted their nation to the false god of arabia, and at least for the time being according to Isaiah's prophecy. I leave it to the reader to again review what the LORD has declared through His prophets; they've all been repeatedly recited here over the past sixteen years.

I believe we're well into the terminal phase of existence prior to the Harpazo of Christ's bride. Lamps well oiled, He is coming for us!

Global SITREP B5-25: Sovereignty

 

UPDATED 14 August 2025: The Yesha Council of 19 community leaders in Judea and Samaria have called on PM Netanyahu to apply full Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria by Sunday, 17 August 2025.

A new, unified committee made up of the various and increasingly numerous Jewish groups ascending the Temple Mount has been created. This unified committee will see to all needs and issues of Jews on the Temple Mount and coordinate ascents with the police.

In Lebanon the terrorists of Hezbollah have fully reneged on the stipulations of the ceasefire agreement and now openly threaten the Lebanese government by refusing to disarm.

At this point the true bride of Christ is consistently seeing prophetic fulfillments on a day to day basis. The "news of the day" is full of such reports, be they precursory or foreshadowings. This, in and of itself, is also highly prophetic and so stated explicitly in I John 2:18...

"Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour."

IDF Merkava IV MBTs Advancing in Gaza

18 August 2025: Initial reports of IDF armored columns with heliborne air cover are advancing on Gaza City. For now we'll assume the columns are advancing from all directions for complete encirclement. 

This IDF advance follows news that Egypt and Qatar attempted a fast one, via global media, by getting HAMAS to accept a partial and phased release of hostages, another islamist ruse which Israel had fervently rejected days earlier.

Defense Minister Katz has approved "Gideon's Chariots B" as the official IDF nomenclature for the operation to conquer Gaza City. Israel has to date completed the conquest of 75% of the Gaza Strip. The ongoing IDF advance is a well-planned maneuver known as 'shaping the battlespace.' The estimate to complete this operation is reported to be three to four months or by the close of 2025.

20 August 2025: With respect to the operational time line noted above, PM Netanyahu has directed that the operational time line be considerably shortened. It appears that execution of this directive will require overwhelming force and lethality above and below ground level.

31 August 2025: The title of this SITREP is the crux of the problem Israel has had since June of 1967! 

The outine map of modern Eretz Israel is misleading because it is still only a dream, something hoped for instead of something taken back, something achieved - sovereignty over all of the land of Israel, which includes Judea and Samaria and most importantly Jerusalem and Temple Mount.

The jihadist muslims of Gaza have held nuclear-armed Israel at bay for almost two years of continuous warfare because Israel has not achieved sovereignty over all of the land. Isreal has been in a standoff with their enemies all around which are a pricking briar. Israel was brought back into this land which God gave to their fathers in fulfillment an eternal covenant and of a God-breathed prophetic word. 

When Israel moves to rectify this shortcoming of sovereignty only then will Israel will realize what the prophets have all declared "saith the LORD God." 

What if Joshua had not moved on Jericho as instructed? What if Moses had not led Israel out of Egypt?

Prophetic Scripture tells us that all the nations will beseige Jerusalem. Jerusalem under the control of an islamic waqf? No! They will come for Jerusalem and the Temple Mount under Israel's Sovereign control and be dashed to pieces in the process.

Israel in sovereign control of Jerusalem is the key to the fulfillment of all the prophecy we have studied here. Gaza schmaza, it's about Jerusalem!

Final Update 1 September 2025: Based upon the lack of any response to yesterday's update, it appears that no one has an awareness concerning Zechariah's prophetic conversation with the Angel of the Lord, the vision of the horses and the vision of the horns.

Global SITREP B4:25: Egypt and Syria

UPDATED 13 July 2025: The government of Egypt has flat-out rejected the plan put forward for the IDF to redeploy its forces in Gaza in the event of a ceasefire. The Egyptians claim the plan constitutes a "national security" threat to Egypt. Egypt is a co-mediator with Qatar in the currently stalemated talks in Doha for another 60-day hudna between Israel and the Gaza terrorist factions (HAMAS, PIJ, etc.).

It must be noted that HAMAS originated in Egypt as a spinoff of the Al-Ikhwan Al-Muslimun (Muslim Brotherhood). Both Egypt and terrorist sponsoring Qatar have a vested interest in seeing the survival of the terrorist factions in Gaza. In reinforcing their displeasure the Egyptian government says it will increase the deployment of its armored forces opposite Gaza's southern border and across the Israel-Egypt border in the northern Sinai. It is also not lost on Israel's citizens that Egypt facilitated the cross-border arms smuggling that began long before October 7, 2023. Most concerning are the Egyptian statements claiming they may abbrogate (withdraw from) the "peace treaty" with Israel.

Given that HAMAS' is doing everything it can to thwart the Doha talks, it's not inconcievable that a united Islamist front is what Israel is actually facing on its southern borders. We'll look at prophetic Scripture next.

The entirety of Isaiah 19 speaks prophetically about what lies in the near future for Egypt, and also during the Millennium Reign of Christ on the Earth. This chapter is written in easy to understand plain language and largely devoid of high-end symbolic meaning. I leave it to the reader to investigate fully as we've touched on this before.

The bottom line with Isaiah 19 is that no nation of the Earth goes up against Almighty God and survives intact to challenge Him again thereafter, at least not for an entire Millennium and that is swiftly and permanently dealt with as well.

There is also Daniel 11:42-43 which concern the 70th Week of Years specifically with respect to Egypt and the nations to its immediate west and south.

At present we watch numerous prophetic events unfolding in real time and knowing with absolute certainty there is no stopping this flood as it sweeps everything in its path, except the Bride of Christ, into the 70th Week of Years.

UPDATE 15 July 2025: Overnight IDF was attacking Hezbollah in Lebanon's Beqaa Valley where the terrorist Radwan Force is reconstituting its fighting capability in order to attack the IDF and State of Israel. Hezbollah's rearming is in violation of the Lebanon-Israel ceasefire agreement. Violations will result in ever more powerful IDF strikes and other actions by Israel. Lebanon's government has been put on notice.

At the same time the IDF was attacking Syria's interim government forces in the Dara'a and Sweida region of southern Syria. The Syrian advance into Sweida resulted in the loss of several armored vehicles and troops. Israel has vowed to defend the Druze of southern Syria and whose extended families also live in northern Israel.

Also at the same time the IDF mechanized forces were busy pushing into central Gaza City, Jabaliyya and other terrorist hot spots as well as in central and southern Gaza where pockets of HAMAS and PIJ rocket fire into Israel continue sporadically. Egyptian Army forces continue to be reinforced in the northern Sinai opposite the Philadelphi Corridor and to the south opposite Israel's Negev.

16 July 2025: The above map is for reference should the IDF launch a ground operation into southern Syria. Such an operation will necessitate movement through the Dara'a governorate in order to confront and remove the Syrian regime's terrorist threat to the Druze-majority As Suweida governorate.

Global SITREP B3-25: The Beginning of Sorrows

UPDATED 26 June 2025: Israel's Operation Rising Lion turned out to be an undeclared 12-day war (12-23 June) against the Twelver regime of Iran. After the U.S. Midnight Hammer strikes on Fordo, Natanz (black dot in the image above) and Isfahan, which were not a declaration of war, but a well-planned and perfectly executed coup de grâce to force the Twelver leadership to sue for a cessation of hostilities. This was achieved and for the time being tenuous hudna (ceasefire) between Israel and Iran has literally been "hammered" into effect. How long this will endure is subject to rife speculation, conjecture and future events.

Not long after the hudna was accepted the Twelver Parliament voted near unanimously (one abstention, zero no votes) to renew the regime's nuclear program. Of course, the operating reactor at Bushehr was never touched over the 12 days of war, meaning even after this war Iran may still have a path to nuclear weaponization. Both the U.S. and Israel say that evidence of renewed nuclear weaponization would lead to new strikes. 

A curious thing occurred over the 12 days of intense Israeli air strikes in Iran. The IAF flew its numerous airstrike packages unimpeded over Syria and Iraq with nary a whimper from either country. Not many countries around the world objected either.

According to Israeli officials in Mossad and the IDF their forces have long been inside Iran and will stay in place for the foreseeable future. Some are suggesting that the objective now is to facture Iran into several ethnic polities (Kurds, Arabs, Baloch's, Azeris, etc.). This also is strong I&W that the confrontation with Iran is not over but has been put into a temporary hiatus, thus confirming Jeremiah's prophecy.

27 June 2025: Three quick notes.

1.) Heavy construction equipment is already busy moving earth at the Fordo nuclear complex. The IRGC clearly wants to get back inside the mountain quickly.

2.) The IAF chief has directed his forces to ensure air superiority in Iranian airspace for the foreseeable future and to continue suppression of Iranian ballistic missiles.

3.) President Trump days he'll for certain order new strikes in Iran if the situation warrants. I assess that Trump prematurely let Iran and the IRGC off the hook and has made a serious miscalculation in not taking out the Ayatollah.

UPDATE 5 July 2025: We've said so previously and it warrants repeating and/or a reminder: the war with the Twelver regime in Iran IS NOT OVER. Not for the State of Israel and not for the United States of America. The belligerent threats coming from the black turbaned mullahs are unlimited and unending. The fearful damage done across the entire spectrum of their military capabilities has truly caused much dismay among the Twelver elites, but their core theological beliefs remain unbowed. The fervent desire to destroy America and Israel is more pronounced than before and for this objective the mullahs will require a nuclear weapons capability with a low-tech delivery method of the most rudimentary kind. By ship or camel they will use whatever method is available. And so the inevitability of renewed warfare is assured, from now until Ezekiel 38/39.

Global SITREP B2-25: Iran War

 

GBU-57A/B MOP (Massive Ordnance Penetrator) 

UPDATED 19 June 2025: The world waits for President Trump's decision to eliminate the Iranian Twelver regime's nuclear weapons program at the Fordo complex. The image above illustrates the only weapons system on earth capable of achieving that end: A B-2 Spirit stealth bomber and GBU-57 MOP. And it will likely require several B-2 Spirits dropping their MOPs in succession to ensure the destruction of Iran's deeply buried Fordo nuclear weapons complex. When several B-2s were announced to have arrived at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean weeks ago, this is precisely the message that was sent to Tehran.

22 June 2025: The above image became a reality, times 12, on Fordo during the evening hours last night. The OPDEC employed by American armed forces was magnificent. Full coordination with the IDF was equally magnificent. American submarines also launched a hailstorm of Tomahawk SLCMs at Isfahan and Natanz nuclear sites. Reliable battle damage reports from Iran and the retaliation upon Israel will come out today. Iranian retaliation against the US forces in the Arabian gulf has so far not taken place.

OPERATION MIDNIGHT HAMMER

New Battle Damage Assessments (BDA) are becoming available now. The precision of the GBU-57 MOP drops on the under-mountain Fordo nuke site were beyond anything seen previously. 

To say the impacts were "impressive" as a descriptive term is massively insufficient. All 12 MOPs entered the Fordo main cascade hall, and they did so via six initial impact points, meaning two 30,000 lb MOPs went through each of the same initial impact points with each successive MOP burrowing deeper and each 5,300 lbs of explosive charge creating successively greater damage.

The B2 crews flew nonstop from the central US mainland, dropped their two-each precision ordnance onto a target the size of a washing machine, and then flew nonstop back to the USA. That's well over 63,000 pounds of very high explosives delivered with pin-point accuracy. Trump was correct, Fordo obliterated.

The just under twenty trucks imaged at Fordo on Friday were delivering fill dirt to seal the entrances. This was done because the IRGC feared that special operations troops would enter the mountain facility. Any IRGC troops inside the sealed Fordo complex were likely vaporized.

U24 June 2025: In the angel Gabriel's 70 Weeks prophecy to Daniel there is a single verse which spans the the entire length of time, from Jesus Resurrection to the beginning of Israel's 70th Week of Years, which is initiated by antichrist's confirmation of a covenant among many [nations].

The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

We are witnessing this flood; we are in 2025 AD at the tail end of the 1,992 years since Messiah the Prince was "cut off" circa 33 AD. There is not a single prophecy about this period of time that has not begun an active process of literal fulfillment.

There are additional major prophetic events that are about to take place and they come straight from the texts of Isaiah, Ezekiel and others the LORD ordained to speak for Him through His Spirit. At any instant our Harpazo (Rapture, Laqach) will occur.

Final Update 25 June 2025: The so-called "12 Day War" is over. Immediately following the surgical and spectacularly successful B-2 Spirit strikes and submarine launched Tomahawk missile strikes the Twelver regime cried "Uncle" and notified the US directly of their 14 missile strike on Al Udeid Air Base and when it would occur allowing US defenses to obliterate all 14 missiles in flight. Iran has been militarily neutered and now is a third-rate power, just as Ezekiel prophesied in equating Iran with Libya and Sudan.

However, also as foretold in prophecy the pre-70th Week wars and rumors thereof have not ended, they will continue all the way to the soon Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Global SITREP B1-25: The War Expands

UPDATED 11 June 2025: A joint IAF and INS (Israeli Navy) strike (image above) against persistent Houthi attacks set the Yemeni port of Hodeidah ablaze. The Israeli strike featured the firepower of Sa'ar-6 class missile frigates launching powerful precision missiles. If the above imagery is any indication the Houthis have lost their primary port facility in Yemen for years to come.

Firstly, who are the Houthis? They are a relatively recent group founded by Hussein al-Houthi which emerged in Yemen in the 1990s. Originally, they were known as the "Believing Youth" (BY), but officially they're known as Ansar Islam. They're also a branch of Shi'ism known as Zaydism. The Houthis assumed control of most of Yemen in 2015 after a decade long civil war, 2004-2014. Since then, the Houthis have been a well-armed proxy force under the Shi'a Twelvers of Iran.

From the perspective of Bible prophecy, the Houthi dominance under Iranian Twelver leadership will be fairly short-lived in these last days. A major event or series of events, unknown at this time, will occur to transform Houthi-controlled Yemen into the Ezekiel 38:13 Yemen we know as Sheba. That soon-to-be Yemen-Sheba is aligned with the Arab Dedan and a large Western alliance of nations (merchants of Tarshish and all their young lions) which opposes the Gog of Magog Confederation's assault upon the State of Israel. This is why the current events in the southern Arabian Peninsula are of critical importance these days and are due close attention going forward.

The strategy noted above is to neutralize the three primary proxies of Twelver Iran: HAMAS in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen. An important aspect at this point are the seemingly imminent strikes that will de-nuclearize the Iranian Twelvers and also eliminate their ballistic missile capabilities.

UPDATE 13 June 2025: The first stage of the war prophesied in Jeremiah 49:34-39 commenced at approximately 03:00 13 June 2025 when IAF aircraft went "wheels up." This was the execution of what the IDF calls "OPERATION RISING LION".

It may have begun an hour earlier when a clandestine Israeli (Mossad) drone base in the heart of Iran launched waves of UAVs at select targets in the country. At least five waves of attacks on key Iranian military leadership, the majority of its nuclear scientists and technicians, a number of ballistic missile sites, dozens of remnant air defense sites and air defense radars, and nuclear sites, such as Natanz, were effectively destroyed. The Iranian capital Tehran was struck as well. This war will continue, at a minimum, until we near the end of this month and battle damage assessments (BDAs) indicate the overall mission objectives have been achieved. The initial Iranian retaliation in the form of a 100-strong drone swarm were eliminated well outside if Israeli territory. 

Major global media for the past two weeks at a minimum stressed how the Trump Administration was preventing Israeli strikes on Iran. Nothing was further from the truth as the US was informed all along, and in great detail since 7 June. In fact, there were key Trump Administration personnel who knew more than Israeli opposition leaders. Clearly the secrecy protocol that was followed in the planning and in the waves of airstrike execution was iron clad. Iran was taken in complete surprise. The dissident Iranian population was unharmed and now, even at this early stage, they can clearly see how weak the Twelver regime is.

Brothers and Sisters, we are watching Bible prophecy being fulfilled in real-time. 

The areas bordered in red to the upper above no longer exists. The large area in the center is receiving repeat strikes in drilling down at least three levels where the uranium enrichment cascades are located.

UPDATE 3PM 13 June 2025: New assessment Iran is reported to have launched just 100 missiles of at Israel; civilians ordered to shelters all across Israel. Israel has warned that attacks on its civilian population will result in the destruction of Iran's oil production and exporting facilities. This "red line" was crossed by Iran today.

Dozens of Iranian missiles have been intercepted; US assistance to defend Israel was expected and did occur. Two barrages of about 50 missiles in each was detected. The IAF is doubling down on striking Iranian missiles prior to launch.

According to the IDF, it is Twelver disinformation that Israel attacked the underground Fordo nuclear weapon assembly facilities. The IDF denies they have struck Fordo.

Global SITREP A10-25: Operation Gideon's Chariots

UPDATED 16 May 2025: This SITREP begins essentially as a continuation of the last segment of SITREP A9-25, "Israel's Military Conquest of Gaza," and nomenclatured as "Operation Gideon's Chariots" by the IDF. As noted, this Operation might have had a preemption during this past week (12-16 May) had the Gaza terrorists of HAMAS and the PIJ made significant moves toward releasing all remaining hostages (dead or alive). This did not take place during the stipulated 'Window of Opportunity" during the American president's visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE.

Israel is seven hours ahead of the US meaning that the Israeli Cabinet-approved Operation Gideon's Chariots commenced several hours ago with massive airstrikes all across Gaza in preparation for the IDF introduction of massive armor and infantry movement into the enclave. The objective is to capture and occupy completely the whole of Gaza and eliminate all terrorists within it. As you might expect this operation entails a long-term plan and IDF presence in Gaza. This will not be a typical "in and out" IDF operation. This is a military conquest in the truest sense of the word.

IRAN 

Also as noted in SITREP A9-25, this past week was Iran's final opportunity to secure a nuclear agreement with the United States. As President Trump departed the UAE he spoke to this, telling assembled media: 

"Iran has an American offer regarding the nuclear program and needs to move fast or something bad will happen."

The obvious question here is, how fast? Perhaps as fast as it takes for Trump to return to the White House Situation Room. Clock ticking.

21 May 2025: The IDF Operation Gideon's Chariots continues apace with more than one hundred fifteen targets in Gaza struck in the past 24 hours. IDF naval and ground forces are press their assaults against terrorists above and below ground level with hundreds of the enemy killed in action. Thus far the IDF has sectioned Gaza into several distinct parcels of land and creating buffers between each of them to preempt any possibility of terrorist enemy force's ability to reinforce and/or rally. At the Kerem Shalom Crossing into Gaza IDF reservists and civilian activists blocked access for aid trucks to enter the strip, vowing to halt aid shipments while HAMAS and PIJ hostages continue to be held in squalor and depraved conditions. IDF CoS MG Eyal Zamir revealed yesterday that a new phase of this operation is just beginning that will showcase increased firepower, maneuver combat that will clear and destroy all infrastructure and opposition encountered.

Most astute observers are noting that the prospect of continued US-Iran nuclear talks progressing are all but exhausted leading to some global media reports suggesting that a unilateral Israeli operation to strike Iranian nuclear sites may be imminent. The Iranian Twelver regime opines that these reports are simply psychological operations (PSYOPS) intended to frighten them. Whatever the case may be, the fact of the matter is that President Trump's 60-day ultimatum for successful negotiations "or bad things will happen" expired several days ago. The ultimatum was no bluff and certain member of the regime's elite in Tehran understand this implicitly. This has created internal division with some expressing the view that the regime's days are finitely numbered due to kinetic external threats and internal rebellion.

UPDATE 30 May 2025: Eschatology Today has had issues with the actions of President Trump during his recent Middle East trip, in particular the catering to the interests of Islamic nations, Sunni and Shi'a, on the Arabian Gulf. These issues were overcome due to the strong conviction that the LORD God has put our president in a position of power in the furtherance of His sovereign will in these 'last days.' However, in recent days the underlying and extremely secular rationale behind the Trump Administration's agenda has become quite transparent and explicit with respect to Syria which is now led by the supposedly reformed Al Qaeda terrorist Ahmed Al-Sharaa (al-Jolani). 

As recently noted in the comments section of this SITREP, the current U.S. intelligence assessment is that the Syrian "transitional government" is in a precarious situation given the existential pressures facing it. The Alawite-Ba'athist regime of Bashar al-Assad fell earlier this year, but the military threat posed by former regime members and their foreign allies may yet result in a catastrophic, full-scale civil war and collapse of the "transitional government" in Damascus. 

Students of prophetic Scripture should understand precisely what this means as it presents the possibility of an uncontrollable civil war in Syria which involves Israel. Isaiah 17 speaks to the ruination of Damascus and the collapse of the Syrian state. Such a result need not necessarily occur due to a nuclear strike upon Damascus, but by an intense civil war that also consumes the entire country. The prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 49:23-27) also laments the destruction of Damascus. These prophecies foretell of a coming all-consuming war for Syria and great destruction inflicted upon Israel as well. 

Thus, it appears as though the Trump Administration through its overtures to Syria as it exists today may be an attempt to preempt the assessment of US intelligence agencies. Nevertheless, what the LORD God has spoken through the prophets will take place and the American administration's efforts to forestall will come to nothing. It is written!

Global SITREP A9-25: The Terminal Phase of the War Against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Part II

UPDATED: 28 April 2025: This SITREP is likely, if not hopefully, just in time to chronicle several major events in the Middle East, South Asia, East Asia and Europe where active wars and rumors thereof are a persistent threat to evade all attempts to avoid escalation.

First of all, and with respect to statements by various ministers in Israel's government regarding the necessity for victory in Gaza to secure peace for Israel's future, all prophetic Scripture, Psalm 83, Isaiah 11 and Ezekiel 28 and 38/39 in particular, make it clear that Israel will not know peace and security until all enemies on its current borders have been vanquished in battle. And that peace and security will be short lived as it presages the brief yet end of the current age war of Gog of Magog.

President Trump is saying exactly what the "fake news" wants to hear. Very upbeat about saying a "deal" with the Twelver Regime in Iran will happen POTUS is at his Trumpian best these days. Trump knows, for example, that there is no way the mullahs will accept the deal being demanded of them for sanctions relief. It is almost to a "T" the same deal that Muammar Khaddafi accepted in 2003 for Libya to dismantle and eliminate its nuclear weapons program that had begun in 1970. In surrendering his potential nukes to the US and UK the case can be made that Khaddafi sealed his fate and murder in the 2011 revolution. It happened in Iraq to Saddam, and later to al-Assad in Syria, albeit with Israeli Air Force kinetic persuasion. This is exactly what the Iranian Twelver hardliners and the North Korean's are advising Khamenei: give up Iranian nukes and you and the regime are toast, history proves it!  As if on cue the new U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, stated in a Jerusalem address that if Iran does not give up its nuclear weapons program President Trump "will not be dragged into a war, he will lead it." And that's what is most likely to happen real soon, Iran will balk at the last moment, and the bunker busters will fall.

Peripheral vision is also keeping tabs on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Communist China's bullying of the Philippines and other nations bordering the South China Sea, as well as increasing instabilities within the European Union. There's a fast-approaching crunch time with all of these, not to mention the escalating tension between nuclear-armed India and Islamic Pakistan.

2 May 2025: The enemies of God and of the people of Israel have resorted to burning with fire that which has never belonged, does not belong and will never belong to them. These are acts of asymmetric warfare which 3,000 years ago the singing prophet Asaph pleaded with the God of Israel to intervene with his Spirit-inspired Psalm 83.

The total of eighteen fixed and rotary-wing water and retardant-dropping aircraft were actively fighting the fires yesterday. The initial batch of these aircraft deployed from NATO countries as well as from Ukraine. The main effort was in the Jerusalem Hills where the primary objective of firefighters was to re-open the Tel Aviv to Jerusalem highway. The highway was successfully opened to traffic yesterday. Miraculously only twenty-two civilian injuries were due to smoke inhalation and twenty firefighters have suffered mild injuries thus far.  Approximately 20 terror arsonists have been arrested by Israeli authorities in the past two days, with at least one individual caught in the act. The latest news is that intensive efforts have at least contained the several fires as of Friday morning.

Asaph concluded Psalm 83:13-18 with these words 

O my God, make them like the whirling dust,
Like the chaff before the wind!
14 As the fire burns the woods,
And as the flame sets the mountains on fire,
15 So pursue them with Your tempest,
And frighten them with Your storm.
16 Fill their faces with shame,
That they may seek Your name, O Lord.
17 Let them be confounded and dismayed forever;
Yes, let them be put to shame and perish,
18 That they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord,
Are the Most High over all the earth.

UPDATE 5 May 2025: There are several items to address in this update. It may take a day or two to get to each of them.

The least important of them is that the 60-day ultimatum given to Iran by the U.S. concerning its nuclear weapons program is all but expired as of this week. We note that that ultimatum was not issued by the Sovereign LORD God; His appointment as given by the prophet Jeremiah remains active on His calendar as it always has. Nevertheless, there are strong I&W that great force by human agencies are about to be unleashed against the regime in Tehran and their proxies.

One has to wonder how the Islamist's mindset is able to come to terms with the fact that the non-divinity of their devotion is yet again 100% absent as it was 77 years ago? Are they not confounded, dismayed and rolling in abject shame? 

Israel's Military Conquest of Gaza

The fact is, especially for the Islamists in Gaza, that much worse is coming upon their raised heads as an additional tens of thousands of Israel's mighty army are about to swarm over and under Gaza destroying everything in their path. HAMAS, PIJ and all of their ilk stand to become extinct within a very brief period of time as we measure it. May they quickly realize that the God of Israel is the One and Only LORD of all His Creation. Amen. 

The schedule looks something like this - SECDEF Hegseth will arrive in the MidEast in 7 days (12 May). On 13 May through 16 May President Trump will be visiting Saudi, Qatar and the UAE. From now until President Trump's departure from the MidEast is a so-called "Window of Opportunity" for the terrorists to release all hostages, living and deceased. 

Failure to release the hostages will result in the IDF immediately executing "Operation Gideon's Chariot" which is the full and complete military conquest of Gaza. There will be no IDF withdrawal from conquered territory, all territory will be secured above and below ground and annexed as Israel's "security zone."

Some readers may not have seen this in the archive listing of Eschatology Today posts and SITREP's, so it may serve as both a reminder and new information for all readers. It most certainly is relevant to the present as you will see after reading it.

Global SITREP B3-18: The War Against Iran Escalates: JCPOA Nuclear Deal is Toast

30 April 2018: It was a very bad day for the Islamic Republic of Iran, and if it's any consolation to the Ayatollah, much worse days are yet to come. 

The image above is of the fireball that erupted following a preemptive strike on what had been known as the Syria Arab Army's 47th Brigade base located 7 miles south of Hama in northwestern Syria. The base, which had been occupied by an IRGC militia of Pakistani Shi'a known as Liya Zaynabiyoun, is adjacent to the village of Ma'arin al-Jabal. The "had been" is due to the size of the first and second order detonations; it is unlikely much remains of this base. 

This base itself has been noted by some as a bunker complex. On the contrary, the three massive above ground structures were perfect for housing and/or assembling fairly large ballistic missiles. The largest of the structures, seen in satellite images captured earlier this year, was well over 400 feet in length and 300 feet in width, two relatively smaller structures measured approximately 300 feet in length and 75 feet in width. Eight ancillary buildings were adjacent to the larger ones and could not have escaped the primary and secondary blasts intact.

Accordingly, use of a bunker buster bomb does not fit the above-ground nature of this facility. However, Israel's version of the US Mk-82 laser guided bomb, known as the MP-500 (Massive Penetrator 500 lbs) could have been the weapon of choice to level this facility and leave a gigantic smoking hole in its place.

The main blast registered as a 2.6 Richter scale event on regional seimosgraphs. According to many reports the blast and dozens of simultaneous secondary ordnance detonations killed or wounded a very large number of the Pakistani Shi'a militiamen who apparently had duty safeguarding two hundred Iranian ballistic missiles destined for delivery to Lebanese Hezbollah. That delivery has obviously been cancelled. Additional strikes are reported to have occurred at bases near Aleppo, but they do not even remotely compare to what happened at Ma'arin al-Jabal at 10:30 PM Sunday night.

Then came Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu's equally massive nuclear bombshell regarding the Iranian nuclear weapons program. To be short and sweet on this issue, this intelligence coup makes preemptive strikes on the Iranian nuclear weapons sites more likely than not. The nonsensical JCPOA that Obama and Kerry masterminded is now just so much burnt toast. We'll find out how burnt it is in about 12 days time.

It also must be noted that the Israeli human intelligence collection operation which secured the hundreds of thousands of documents and digital data is unlike anything any nation has achieved in modern history. A close second intelligence coup might be the Polish engineer during WWII who memorized the Nazi "Enigma" cryptographic machine's impossibly complex inner workings so that allied engineers could reporoduce it in England. However, even the Enigma machine pales in comparison the the details exposed by the Israeli operation.

And as US President Trump prepares to meet with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, Eschatology Today would be completely remiss to not note one important detail revealed by PM Netanyahu. The Iranian warhead design appears to be virtually identical to the primary core that Kim Jong Un was photographed standing next to not too long ago. As has long been maintained here, the North Korean and Iranian nuclear programs have been conjoined twins for decades.

UPDATE 1 May 2018: If you've not yet seen the entirety of PM Netanyahu's presentation on the Islamic Republic of Iran's "Project Amad," please make the effort to do so as what I am adding as an update will bring all of his revealed information full-circle and bring full understanding on why Iran has been dead set on the development nuclear weapons.

The Iranian development of nuclear weapons has always been 100% about Shi'a Islamic eschatology. In fact, the name of their effort, which PM Netanyahu revealed as "Project Amad" is actually over-anglicized from the Farsi language and should be "Project Amahd." "Project Amahd" itself is actually Farsi shorthand for its true name, "Project al-Mahdi." Many of you are now likely having a light bulb illuminating in your minds because you are aware that the mythical al-Mahdi is central to much of the Islamic creed. For Shi'a Islami, the al-Mahdi is ground zero for all of their eschatological beliefs.

The focus here will not be on the mythical man who is this Shi'a messianic figure, but what his adherents, known as Hojjatieh and Twelvers, believe. For them the al-Mahdi is the foundation of everything they believe. And what they believe is the utility of nuclear weapons in quickly achieving their end-state objective in hastening the al-Mahdi's reappearance once they possess such weapons. Israel knows this, and the U.S. Government ever since the Clinton Administration has known this. Now we all know this.

A few brief points on what the Shi'a believe and are acting on. The Iranian Shi'a Twelvers, who are 85% of Shi'a Islam, all believe that the Sunni Muslims will make war on the al-Mahdi. So Iran has been at war with Sunni Islam for some time due to this belief. 

The Iranian Shi'a Twelvers also believe - and this explains perfectly why Iran is so invested in the Syrian Civil War - that a great war must occur in Syria until the country is completely destroyed. A similar rationale exists for the country of Iraq. The Shi'a Twelvers, such as former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his clique of Hojjatieh clerics believe that provoking nuclear war with Israel or America will hasten al-Mahdi's reappearance; such chaos is critical to this end. If the Islamic Republic of Iran acquires nuclear weapons, such as the five weapons PM Netanyahu cited, they will use them.

Now you should have full understanding on why the U.S. and Israel, and a precious few other nations, particularly Saudi-led GCC, see the imperative necessity of preempting Iranian acquisition of nuclear weapons even if it means launching strikes into Iran.

Russia-Iran Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty

UPDATE 22 April 2025: Eschatology Today believes that the events of the past three days effectively signal that the critical moment of the Jeremiah 49:34-39 prophecy is now at hand. Do not be dismayed if you missed notification of the events, the vast majority of the media deliberately attempted to keep you in the dark. However, that's why I and some other watchmen are here!

Saturday night Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu issued a video recorded speech. Although advance notice was given of the speech the vast majority of Israel's left-wing media outlets declined to air the speech in full. Some even declared it unworthy of the airtime required to present it in full, while others obfuscated the critical point of the speech completely. Nevertheless, the critical point in the speech came when the PM said that while he greatly preferred a joint strike by the US and Israel to neuter the Iranian nuclear program, Israel is prepared to go it alone.

The response to PM Netanyahu from Russian dictator Vladimir Putin came yesterday morning when he officially signed (ratified) the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty (CSTP) between Russia and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This "covenant" between Russia and Iran is effectively a comprehensive alliance geared toward their military and diplomatic agendas. It is a direct challenge to Israel and the United States intended to forestall joint or unilateral military action against Iran's nuclear program. 

Leaning forward, Eschatology Today assesses that the CSTP will fail its intended purpose but will ultimately result in the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38/39. Put another way in full, the CSTP will fail to preempt the fulfillment of Jeremiah 49:34-39 but will result thereafter in the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38/39. In-between these two fulfillments are the fulfillments of Isaiah 17 and the conclusion of the Psalm 83 war, both currently in a process of fulfillment.
