Global SITREP C2-25: Superpower of the Eastern Mediterranean

 

Israel, Greece and Cyprus

UPDATED 18 December 2025: Most readers may have long since forgotten Global SITREP A6:16 which focused on the regional superpower triparty alliance of Israel, Greece and Cyprus. Just shy of a decade since the alliance was initiateded it has now officially established a joint Rapid Reaction Force (RRF).

The RRF initially numbers 2,500 personnel, 1000 from the IDF, 1000 from Greece and 500 from Cyprus. It will have a two-squadron air force, one each from Israel (F-35 Adir) and the Hellenic Air Force (F-16C/D); a surface and subsurface naval element, and multiple brigades of land forces to include special operations elements. The RRF fundamentally alters the military balance of power in the central and eastern Mediterranean Sea and the Middle East as a whole.

A Rapid Reaction Force of this size is only intended to preempt kinetic enemy action or to serve as a trip-wire for the introduction of larger, more capable forces to confront an enemy.

21 December 2025: The wise are paying attention to the so-called rumors of renewed war against the Twelver-led Islamic Republic of Iran. They are not rumors, they are decisive Orders Of Battle (OOB) to eliminate the growing ballistic missile threat and the remaining 60% HEU the Twelvers possess.

In the much too brief June 2025 war Israel destroyed only those ballistic missiles deployed out of their protective underground tunnel systems. Those missiles which remained in the tunnels survived intact and operational. The war was forcibly truncated so that Trump could declare victory and "peace in the Middle East." Just because Trump said something was so doesnt mean it actually was so. 

The point here is that the surviving missiles are being renovated and upgraded swiftly with an emphasis on their warhead's destructive power over CEP accuracy. Renovated and new production are approaching a rate of 2,000 per month since September 2025. The bulk of the 60% HEU, and many centrifuge cascades, survived the US strikes on the Natanz, Fordo and Isfahan facilities.

According to IDF radio PM Netanyahu will brief President Trump on Monday, 29 December at Mar-A-Lago, Florida. The U.S. has a good idea of Israel's new OOB, and Trump has played down the Netanyahu briefing; he's not one to thoroughly walk back his declarations of total destruction last summer. Netanyahu is prepared to say that Israel's OOB is a go-it-alone plan; that the US can participate because Iran also threatens it in the region and elsewhere. The timing of a unilateral Israeli strike is on a short fuse.

FINAL UPDATE 29 December 2025: As the world-at-large prepares to celebrate the arrival of 2026 AD with fireworks, parades, concerts, pageantries and parties, it will do so while ensconced in grand delusion. Global peace is not on the horizon, global war is.

Communist China has made clear to subdue Taiwan by force within two years time. Russia has no intention of ending its warwith Ukraine, the deployment of nuclear forces into Byelorussia (Belarus) is far from being a peaceful overture. Iran, according to the IAEA, retains the capability to produce multiple nuclear weapons. Iranian dissidents report the IRGC is also feverishly constructing biological and chemical warheads for its newly refurbished ballistic missiles. North Korea's "Rocketman" has nukes in abundance and nuclear submarines to deliver them from one end to the other of the Pacific Ocean's aptly-named "Ring of Fire." All of this is in addition to the simmering conflicts across Africa, South and Southeast Asia as well as South America. 

Sounds like a good reason to celebrate, right? But then, what happens according to Holy Scripture the world almost universally ignores as myth or fable? The wars erupt and a messianic figure and a false soothsayer arise and the thoroughly deluded masses of planet Earth shout "Peace and Safety, Peace and Safety!!" The world may hardly even notice the sudden absence of the Christians they love to hate, but they'll then dive head first in a feeding frenzy into the earthly wealth left behind.

Well, perhaps there is something to joyously celebrate after all - our soon and sudden departure to be with the LORD forever more.

Global SITREP C1-25: Jihadist Syria

 

Shapping the Syrian battlespace

UPDATED 28 November 2025: Since the Sunni jihadist conquest of Ba'athist-ruled Syria almost one year ago there has not been a minute where Eschatology Today favorably entertained the al-taqiyya coming from the "transitional" government led by Al-Qaeda jihadist Ahmed al-Sharaa. Apparently neither has the coalition government of Israel, its intelligence organs and the IDF.

The map above fairly indicates how the IDF in the past 12 months has been shaping and preparing the battlefield against the jihadist enemy to the north. Light blue is the Israeli Golan. The yellow corridor indicates the IDF's forward positions within Syria. Several protected Druze villages are located on both sides of the yellow corridor. 

The operation today in Beit Jinn at the base of Mount Hermon revealed the Syrian jihadist government has been deeply involved in attacking the IDF and the Druze communities in southern Syria. Cut to the chase - the map above shows the current border, but Bible prophecy indicates the northeastern border will be at the Euphrates River.

29 November 2025: On Monday this past week President Trump issued an Executive Order (EO) to officially declare the Muslim Brotherhood (al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun) to be a foreign terrorist organization (FTO). The Jamaa Islamiya (JI) terrorists the IDF struck with ground troops in Beit Jinn, Syria yesterday are, in fact, the Lebanese branch of the Muslim Brotherhood; they operate on both sides of the Lebanon-Syria border. Israeli intelligence uncovered preparations by the JI in Beit Jinn to launch cross-border attacks into Israel. The JI embedded themselves within both HAMAS and Hezbollah in the 2025 war in Lebanon, and now in Syria. Also in Syria are ground troops from Houthi Yemen.

6 December 2025: As can be seen in the above map the Trump Gaza End War Plan is all about Israel's withdrawal from "Arab" land. The blue line is where the IDF was when the first phase began. The yellow line is where the IDF is today. The red line is where the IDF is to be when phase two begins. The orientation at each line up to this point is towards the Mediterranean Sea, or the area still under HAMAS/PIJ terrorist control.

Guess where Egypt wants to put the so-called "International Stabilization Force" (i.e. Arab-Islamic Military Forces) when phase two begins? On the current IDF yellow line, but not oriented towards the Sea, they want the orientation towards the IDF and Israel.

8 December 2025: GAZA HUDNA - PHASE II will begin upon the islamic terrorists release of police officer Ran Gvili's remains. Officer Gvili was killed on 07OCT23 and his body was kidnapped into Gaza as a hostage. The terrorists have always known where Gvili's remains are located but pretend otherwise for their benefit. Shame on Israeli authorities for playing the terrorists game for more than two years.

Iranian Hanukkah Threat?

16 December 2025: The above poster (enlarged left, original right) have appeared in Tehran of late threatening Israel with a new war. The northern Israeli coastal city of Nahariya has been singled out in a specific threat which reads "Towards the next war: Nahariya, get ready!" 

We tend to take Iranian threats seriously, but this could also be a psyop intended to distract from Hanukkah celebrations in the immediate aftermath of the Bondi Beach massacre masterminded by the IRGC-QF. 

Nahariya is located approximately 6 miles from the border with Lebanon.

UPDATE 28 December 2025: The terrorist bombing of the Alawite mosque in Homs, which has killed eight and injured eighteen others, is a sure sign that the sectarian war tearing Syria apart is far from resolved. 

The explosive devices were prepositioned for a maximum casualty effect. Sunni jihadists are at the forefront of suspects as rumors swirl of an imminent Alawite insurrection along the Mediterranean Sea coastline governorates of Latakia and Tartus. 

Former al-Assad generals exiled in Russia are receiving massive funding from other wealthy Syrians tied to the former regime. The insurgency has weapons depots, around 168,000 troops and thousands of former Syrian Army officers. The elite 4th Division figures prominently.

BREAKING: Al-Sharaa and his transitional government are not taking this threat lightly; his Syrian Army has in the last few hours deployed troops and armor into the city centers of Tartus and Latakia.

The Magoi and the Birth of Jesus Messiah

The Eschatology Today tradition continues to bring this post forward. This is the 15th re-posting.

10 December 2025: (Original Posting date 6 January 2010): The above image is an artistic rendering of the three Magoi (Magi). In fact, there had to have been quite an entourage who accompanied the Magoi, primarily because of the basic fact that no one makes a 1,000+ mile round trip journey across the desert east of the Jordan River, that between the Parthian Empire and Roman-occupied Israel west of the Jordan River without the supplies of a life-sustaining caravan and significant numbers of mounted cavalry for protection. The actual number of gentile visitors from the east was probably closer to 300 than just 3. It's also a minor miracle that the illegitimate Roman puppet King Herod did not think the appearance of this caravan from the east wasn't the advance guard of a Parthian invasion.

The importance of the whole story about the Magoi (Matthew 2:1-12) is quite likely unknown by most Christians. That's because we've not spent much time learning about it, even though it is Scripture, Old Testament (Numbers 24:14-25; Micah 5:2-5; Isaiah 60:2-6) and very specific prophetic Scripture at that.

Oh, we all know and have visualized one way or another the "We Three Kings" Christmas carol, and have seen Nativity scene imagery like the above for the sum of our lives, but that's not the half of it. There's more... so much more to the story.

The more I think about it, the more I am astounded by the fact that the gentile Magoi who came out of the Parthian (Persian) Empire and made this tremendous journey did so after fervently holding to the prophet Daniel's detailed prophecy (given by the angel Gabriel in Daniel 9:24-26) concerning the coming of the Messiah for over 600 years, and waited generation after generation for a very specific sign in the skies, and all the while knowing the precise number of days until the Messiah's birth because of the details given in the prophecy. They knew how to count Hebrew years, and exactly how many days each year had. They knew precisely when to look for the star.

And then once that sign appeared and the number of days had elapsed they rounded up the multiple parts of a large caravan and the water and provisions for the entire group's survival, plus the gifts for the object of their 500+ year devotion for what had to be a round trip of something well in excess of 1,900 miles across barren desert, mountains, marshes, rivers and wadis.... I stand here approximately two millennia and two decades later in complete awe just thinking about it.

The caravan was quite probably a round trip from Seleucia to Jerusalem and back, on foot and by beast of burden, of GENTILE believers coming from the Magoi's descendants of Nebuchadnezzar's Babylonian Empire, the Persian Empire, Alexander the Great's Empire, the Seleucid Empire to the Parthian Empire of the Roman Era.

That these GENTILES, these Magoi, had clung to and fervently believed in the exquisitely detailed God-breathed prophecy of Daniel concerning the coming birth of the Messiah for hundreds and hundreds of years, through all of the events, wars, and tumults that had occurred in this crossroads region of the known world, is without question the greatest account of the prophetic Word of God causing belief in the God of Israel among gentiles in history prior to the crucifixion, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Having been in those same Middle Eastern deserts, such a specifically purposeful journey undertaken 2,000 years ago is mind-boggling to this author. These gentiles from the regions and lands of Israel's captivity knew the details of, believed in, and all the while eagerly awaited the birth of the Messiah. And the Jews, for the most part, due to their disobedience and the spiritual blindness and deafness placed upon them by the Covenant of Moab, besides the Covenant of Horeb, (Deuteronomy 29) knew nothing of His coming; that He would literally be the God of their fathers born in the flesh of a man.

And here we are, knowing in detail that the days of time which are left until the advent of Daniel's 70th Week are all but palpable... just stand in awe and in praise of God. My brothers and sisters, just stand in awe and praise to be a living part of all this.

Global SITREP B10-25: A New Caesar

 

A New Caesar

UPDATED 18 November 2025: Donald John Trump was elected as the 47th President of the United States of America. He was not elected to be the Prime Minister of the State of Israel. Nevertheless he has blustered, bluffed, huffed and puffed his way to a self-appointed chairman position over several other unelected (appointed) potentates known as the "Board of Peace" (BoP) according to UNSCR 2803. According to UNSCR 2803 the BoP will oversee the transition from the IDFs military control of Gaza to foreign military forces, a/k/a the International Stabilization Force (ISF). These are foreign military forces on Israel's border under the command of foreign military commanders who may not be supportive of Israel's selfdefense requirements. UNSCR 2803 is a threat to Israel.

The ISF will be run from a Command and Control (C2) center at the US Army base in Kiryat Gat, Israel. As can be seen in the above image the C2 center has been operational for some time. According to Trump more "big announcements" are forthcoming.

The "big announcement" that will not be made is that this unenforceable UNSC resolution will turn out to be worse than the Oslo Accords, worse even than UNSC 1701 the U.S. forced upon Israel in 2006 and which allowed Iran to rebuild Hezbollah into an even greater existential threat. NOTHING has been learned from decades of diplomatic mumbo jumbo like this, ALL of it relying on nonexistent Arab-Islamic "good will." Hence the $1Trillion Saudi bribe (Bakhsheesh). Nothing will suffice the Arab-Islamic nations other than the destruction of Israel. Then their Dar al-Harb intent will be directed at us. That being said, we know from His Word something other will take place.

UPDATE 26 November 2026: The number, type, intensity and location of the recent and ongoing IDF combat exercises speak volumes about the preparations in progress for renewed warfare. 

The Lebanon "ceasefire" has all but run its course. The primary enemy forces in Lebanon (HAMAS and Hezbollah - backed by IRGC-QF) are close to completing a consolidation of assets in order to operate cohesively. There is no rational expectation that Lebanon's government will disarm either group within 30 days; that's a pie-in-the-sky boilerplate for the media.

Israeli Reshet Bet radio this morning on its several FM channels is focused on the threat from Islamic Jihad's build up of combat power with al-Shara'a so-called government doing nothing to interfere. This is aided by the Trump Administration's de facto moratorium on IAF airstrikes to degrade the jihadist build up of warfighting power.

Such is the overall military situation that of necessity it requires PM Netanyahu's daily, if not hourly attention. Trump's request for the termination of the Netanyahu witch hunt has clearly fallen on the deaf ears of the Israeli opposition.

Global SITREP B9-25: Sooner Rather Than Later

 

Sooner Rather Than Later...

UPDATED 31 October 2025: The above image illustrates the near future, envisioning the building of the Third Temple. How near is this envisioned future? Sooner than most people have yet to consider its nearness. 

Certainly, it will follow the end of the ongoing war in Gaza which is currently in hiatus at the insistence of an American president. And the ongoing yet unfinished war in Lebanon versus the radical Shi'a militias and now, with a high probability, versus the army of the current government of Lebanon itself (Joshua 13:1-7). And the long unfinished war with Syria and the dissolution of that state (Isaiah 17), in addition to the fulfillment of Isaiah 11:14 which is directly connected to the Gaza war. In fact, all three of these prophetic verses are inclusive of each other because they all come from the same source, the LORD God. Tying all of these together is the prophet Ezekiel who also received the word of the LORD and spoke it in Ezekiel 28:24-26. 

None of this is new to longtime reader of Eschatology Today, but as with all of Scripture is bears repeating and repeating again until the Harpazo removes us and the Restrainer from this world. We're in the midst of a flood, albeit one that that has the appearance of a trickle at times, yet we are assured the LORD keeps His Covenants and His appointments.

2 November 2025: Indications and Warnings (I&W) concerning renewed warfare on Israel's periphery, while forecast months ago on Eschatology Today (we fully understand the jihadist' objectives and battle rhythms) are now present in most media outlets.

Despite the Trump Administration's repeated denials on the application of the Judea and Samaria sovereignty initiative in the Knesset, the facts within PA-controlled areas of the same region paint an entirely different future. 

The dictatorship of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is facing a near-term Arab overthrow. Polling done by a Ramallah organization reveals that 80% of Arabs in PA-controlled cities simply want Abbas gone and a type of the late-Yahya Sinwar as his replacement. In sum, the Arabs within Judea and Samaria want HAMAS rule. 77% also want HAMAS to remain in Gaza. These Arabs don't want a new intifada, they want full-scale jihad against Israel.

To the north an unambiguous warning from Israel has been delivered to President Aoun's increasingly bellicose government over its "feet dragging" to disarm Hezbollah and remove all traces of the Shi'a jihadists to northern Lebanon. Intel coming from the U.S. Ambassador (which originates from within the USIC) reveals Hezbollah's fighting forces number 40,000 and a refurbished rocket arsenal aimed at northern Israeli communities of 25,000 to 30,000. Instead of relocating Hezbollah north of the Litani River the Lebanese Army is deploying southwards to confront the IDF. The Lebanese government is preferential to conflict with Israel vice civil war with Hezbollah - a no-win scenario to be sure.

We are all well aware of the Lord's prophetic word, of its inevitability. What is quite evident now are the possible - if not probable - catalysts to literal fulfillment.

UPDATE 5 November 2025: A detailed exsum of the ALMA Center assessment of Hezbollah's reconstitution by the IRGC-Quds Force begins with these two graphics.

This map indicates the IRGC-QF clandestine use of Suakin Port, 50 km south of Port Sudan, which connects to a overland-bridge crossing Egypt to a final maritime leg to Beirut, Lebanon. Think Ezekiel 38/39 where Persia, Kuwsh and Put are noted.

This graphic illustrates the various AORs of Hezbollah's subunits in southern Lebanon (Aziz and Nasr) and the Badr unit north of the Litani River, plus the strategic depth afforded by the Beqaa Valley. This prophetically is related directly to Joshua 13:5.

UPDATE 12 November 2025: The USS Ford (CVN-78) Carrier Strike Group 12 (CSG-12) arrived on station in the SOUTHCOM AOR yesterday. CVN-78 has Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 8 embarked. CSG-12 also  includes USS Bainbridge (DDG 96), USS Mahan (DDG 72), and the integrated air and missile defense command ship USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG 81).

Back-to-back X-class solar flares and CMEs resulted in the magnificent red and green aurora seen last evening/this morning over Cheyenne, Wyoming. This set of auroras have the appearance of a type of cosmic rainbow to my eyes.

UPDATE 16 November 2025: The prophetic Word of God often comes to fulfillment in ways and by means no human being can fathom beforehand. This, by all appearances, appears to be the present situation. The Trump Administration has placed itself in league with Muslim/Islamic nations who worship a false god. The Abraham Accords are an attempt to legitimize and place on equal footing the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob with a false god and which denies the purely divine nature of Jesus the Christ (Yeshua HaMashiach). Hailed by many the world over as a pathway to peace for several years now, it has always had hidden within it what can now be clearly seen as a man-made counter to the Will of God regarding the restoration and redemption of Israel in the land given to Israel's fathers.

On this basis the Trump Administration has taken to the United Nations for a vote to legitimize the division of the God-given Land Covenant. As of this morning the key members of Israel's cabinet met and made an unequivocal statement that there will not be any pathway to the creation of a "Palestinian State" west of the Jordan River. There is also now a hard point of division between the foreign policy of the United States and that of the State of Israel which never existed previously. Push is rapidly coming to shove. The passage of the United Nation vote is reportedly assured due to the majority of islamic nations that are in support of it - simply because they see it as a definitive path to the destruction of the State of Israel.

Will a firm rejection by Israel of the United Nations Security Council vote to partition Eretz Israel not result in a war with the "pricking briars" of the enemy nations all around? The Trump proposal should receive at least nine votes of the fifteen UNSC member nations to secure its passage. Eschatology Today cannot see how such a war can be avoided due to the fact that all of the Lord's prophets have foretold it, Asaph, Isaiah and Ezekiel in particular, as well as the specific results that will come out of such a war. This situation, as currently understood, has major implications for an epic prophetic convergence.

Global SITREP B8-25: On The Prophetic Road to Revelation

 

UPDATED 13 October 2025: At the Knesset in Israel this morning they're celebrating the release of the hostages and speaking very pragmatically about a long-lasting "peace through strength" in the Middle East. Eschatology Today will give the speakers in the Knesset this day as it is clearly a God-given day. It was appropriate that President Trump began his speech by invoking the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. 

However, even through they may be men of the Judeo-Christan faiths none are speaking with the authority of Almighty God. As we read in Holy Scripture days such as this one are actually important signposts along The Prophetic Road to Revelation. Despite all the glowing expectations voiced this morning there are unintended consequences directly ahead. 

Here it is very important to note that in the Arab and Muslim nations which participated in this "peace process" they are not handing out sweets on the streets. That is most telling as we will soon see.

Also today at the Gaza Peace Deal Signing ceremony in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt post-hostage release there was talk of Gaza reconstruction - but only after the demilitarization of HAMAS and the other jihadists has taken place. Were there Arab Muslim countries volunteering to take the Islamic jihadists weapons away from them? No, there were not. Not Turkey, or Qatar or Egypt or the UAE. So who then completes this task? Does HAMAS disarm itself? Yeah, right. So, what force does? The only capable force is the IDF, meaning all proclamations of peace are just so much hot air and wishful thinking. Neville Chamberlain would be proud, he had worthless signatures on paper too. 

15 October 2025: The IDF has been directed by Defense Minister Israel Katz to formulate new plans for the total conquest of Gaza and elimination of HAMAS. 

The trigger for renewed, full-scale warfare by the IDF is the determination that the terrorists have not released all of the remains of deceased hostages as well as their failure to promptly and completely disarm.

17 October 2025: The current situation is one where HAMAS is providing the rope with which they will hang themselves. These terrorists are wildly flaunting the ceasefire terms they agreed to abide by, even murdering fellow Gazans, continuing attempts to engage the IDF either in firefights or ambushes to effect soldier kidnappings. 

The express warnings have been given by Israel and the US. Eschatology Today believes renewed warfare will take us to the condition Ezekiel noted Israel would realize per the opening verses of chapter 38. At that point the prophetic Pslam 83 scenario will be historical fact.

The War of Tekumah

19 October 2025: This morning HAMAS brazenly attacked a mechanized IDF unit in Rafah with anti-tank rockets. A significant IDF land battle resulted from the attack with the Air Force acting in its usual force multiplier role joining the battle with heavy strikes on HAMAS targets in the south and north of Gaza. 

THE WAR OF TEKUMAH

The government voted to rename this The War of Tekumah. Tekumah means Resurrection or Rebirth. Eschatology Today thinks the naming change is appropriate as this renewed war stands to fundamentally reshape Israel and its landscape in the coming days as foretold in Scripture, i.e. Israel fully reborn.

UPDATE 20 October 2025: Consistent with the central theme of SITREP B8-25: On the Prophetic Road to Revelation, the critical importance of the War of Tekumah in prophetic last days events requires unambiguous language.

In the vein of past as prologue, the role of the United States President Trump at this time mirrors in an important aspect that of the Persian King Cyrus. Neither Cyrus (His annointed, Isaiah 45:1) nor Trump in our day, knew/know the LORD initmately but did/do acknowlege His existence. Eschatology Today prays for Trump to receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior soon, yet his recent history and actions may indicate an "annoiting" pursuant to the Sovereign Will of God.

In Old Testament (OT) times large populations of various peoples were relocated to distant lands. This as the OT makes abundantly clear was within the LORD's will. Trump has repeatedly proposed relocation the Gaza civilians to various nearby Arabic-speaking lands. Coincidental? I think not as God is in control. His Will is in action every day and everywhere.

We know the outcome of the war in Gaza. The ongoing pulverization of its structures into rubble and dust; the eventual dispersement of the populatiom are prophetic certainties. Zephaniah 2 and Amos 1 will come to literal fulfillments. In fact, the entire coastal region of southern Israel and Gaza is prophesied to become grasslands for the grazing flocks of Israel's farmers and ranchers. These God-breathed prophetic words tell us true believers that Trump's vision of Gaza becoming a Middle Eastern version of the French Riviera has a zero chance of becoming realized.

"In the past month, we have witnessed ridiculous claims regarding the relations between the U.S. and Israel. Israel is an independent state - our security policy is in our own hands. We have clarified with respect to international forces that Israel will determine which forces are not acceptable to us. We are not willing to tolerate attacks against us, and we thwart emerging dangers. We do not ask anyone's permission for this."

Global SITREP B7-25: Unintended Consequences

30 September 2025: What comes next following PM Netanyahu's unmandated acceptance of Trump's "end the war" plan? A potential landslide of unintended consequences from Trump's grandiose Nobel Peace Prize gambit is more than likely to be unrestricted warfare.

3 October 2025: President Trump today issued on his Truth Social platform a "last chance" ultimatum to HAMAS to accept his peace plan by 6 PM Eastern Daylight Time, Sunday, October 5. 

Trump claims 25,000 HAMAS soldiers have already been killed and the remainder will be hunted down to suffer the same fate if his peace plan is not accepted. According to Trump the remaining HAMAS soldiers "are surrounded and MILITARILY TRAPPED, just waiting for me to give the word, “GO,” for their lives to be quickly extinguished."

5 October 2025: Let's face facts, Trump's 3 or 4 day ultimatum to the Islamic jihadists (let that sink in as to who and what they are, their religious ideology and what they did to 1,200 innocent human beings on 7OCT23) has been an abject failure. 

Eschatology Today wrote early on that it would be impossible for the Islamic jihadists to abide by Trump's dictate proposal to end the war. And they haven't. The jihadis have balked at the three most basic conditions of releasing all hostages within 72 hours, complete disarmament and renunciation of any future role in Gaza, nevermind the remaining seventeen or so items of Trump's proposal.

There are still <i>thousands</i> of heavily armed jihadists in Gaza with hundreds of hidden arsenals and undiscovered tunnel redoubts. This is beside the fact that Islamic jihadists never surrender to a non-islamic enemy. For 1,400 years no such surrender has ever taken place. Not even once. 

So, does anyone truly believe that in twelve hours time (6 PM Washington time) HAMAS and Palestinian Islamic Jihad will surrender, disarm and release all living and deceased hostages?

By the way, since the Trump plan was made public the IDF has NOT relented from its combat operations in Gaza but has increased them.

FINAL UPDATE 10 October 2025: Despite media reports, and even American and Netanyahu government statements, that all of the IDFs military objectives have been achieved the facts of the matter are in diametric opposition to such pronouncements.

The various terrorist groups in Gaza, led by HAMAS, PIJ, al-Shaabab, PFLP and smaller formations of islamic jihadists, have NOT been defeated, removed from power, disarmed or removed from the territory of Gaza. In fact, in a very short period of time, perhaps as soon as Monday, 13 October, the lead jihadists of HAMAS will have de facto control of all territory abandoned under the Trump peace protocol negotiated by Witkoff and Kushner and a handful of Islamic governments. 

Israel having lost well over 1,000 of its finest troops has also, at least temporarily, lost this particular war against Islamic jihadism in Gaza. In Lebanon the Hezbollah and Amal jihadists have not been defeated, are regrouping and rearming to re-engage in war with Israel. 

What we hve now is yet another islamic hudna, a temporary time-out to the war. Both sides have gained lessons learned and the next massacre of innocents will make the October 7, 2023 massacre look pale in comparison. Syria and Jordan will join in the next conflict; Isaiah 17 indicates the death toll Israel will endure "in the day of disease and incurable pain."

There's precedent here for those with a certain type of temporary amnesia. In its first term (2017-2021) the Trump Administration "45" brokered FOUR Arab-Israel peace agreements. This war nearly trampled on all of them, the next one will trample on all of them despite Trump saying this deal ensures "an everlasting peace." 

Bible prophecy assures that only Jesus Christ will bring an everlasting peace.

In his speech to the Israel people at 1 PM IST today, PM Netanyahu made clear that the IDF will resume combat operations in Gaza to neutralize the remaining terrorist elements "the hard way" should the current agreement fail. And fail it will.

The areas in yellow indicate the six localized areas that reportedly (for the time being) will be excluded from sovereign eretz Israel.

8 Septermber 2025: The HAMAS terror attack at Ramot Junction this morning strongly indicates the map above may be nothing more than a trial balloon of wishful thinking as all of the yellow-colored urban areas are infested with islamic terror cells. The IDF will have to subdue each of them.

14 September 2025: Once again the Yesha Council has demanded that PM Netanyahu immediately declare Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria. Their slogan is "Palestine or Sovereignty." 

Today's Yesha Council demand comes after the UNGA last week overwhelmingly voted for a non-binding resolution to recognize a non-existant palestinian state within Israel's borders. There remains just over one week before France and Saudis, with considerable EU backing, unilaterally recognize an independent terrorist state in Judea and Samaria.

PM Bibi Netanyahu is almost certainly plum out of options since this can of worms can no longer be kicked any further. He must annex and declare full sovereignty which will be an act on par with Israel's declaration of independence 77 years ago.

IDF Armored Forces Enter Gaza City

16 September 2025: The government of the State of Israel this Tuesday morning confirmed what Eschatology Today stated in commentary on Monday, 15 September, and several times previously in recent days - the full scale ground invasion and conquest of sprawling Gaza City (Operation Gideon's Chariots II) is now underway. 

The complete destruction by IAF air power of more than 50 high-rise buildings, which previously dominated the Gaza City skyline, was preliminary to massive, heavy IDF ground forces rolling in like an armored tsunami.

We can reasonably expect the rest of this current week to be unlike anything witnessed in a very, very long time.

However, it is not enough to dwell upon these current events, as this is a time (we all know it!) to focus again on the LORD's prophetic word, the true reason for Eschatology Today to exist.

We are to be witnesses to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 28:24 and the removal of HAMAS in Gaza as a pricking brier. Make no mistake, as the LORD makes clear through Ezekiel 28:25-26, He is executing judgments on all those around Israel. These two verses clearly point to the condition of Israel in Ezekiel 38/39, the concluding judgment prior to the 70th Week of Years (Thlipsis and Megas Thlipsis).

So, now all of the "pricking briers" will receive His executed judgments. Psalm 83 is a primary overview, as is Joshua 13:1-7, as is Isaiah 11 and 17, plus Jeremiah 49. The Egyptians would do well not to ignore Isaiah 19 - but they will because they've submitted their nation to the false god of arabia, and at least for the time being according to Isaiah's prophecy. I leave it to the reader to again review what the LORD has declared through His prophets; they've all been repeatedly recited here over the past sixteen years.

I believe we're well into the terminal phase of existence prior to the Harpazo of Christ's bride. Lamps well oiled, He is coming for us!

Global SITREP B5-25: Sovereignty

 

UPDATED 14 August 2025: The Yesha Council of 19 community leaders in Judea and Samaria have called on PM Netanyahu to apply full Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria by Sunday, 17 August 2025.

A new, unified committee made up of the various and increasingly numerous Jewish groups ascending the Temple Mount has been created. This unified committee will see to all needs and issues of Jews on the Temple Mount and coordinate ascents with the police.

In Lebanon the terrorists of Hezbollah have fully reneged on the stipulations of the ceasefire agreement and now openly threaten the Lebanese government by refusing to disarm.

At this point the true bride of Christ is consistently seeing prophetic fulfillments on a day to day basis. The "news of the day" is full of such reports, be they precursory or foreshadowings. This, in and of itself, is also highly prophetic and so stated explicitly in I John 2:18...

"Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour."

IDF Merkava IV MBTs Advancing in Gaza

18 August 2025: Initial reports of IDF armored columns with heliborne air cover are advancing on Gaza City. For now we'll assume the columns are advancing from all directions for complete encirclement. 

This IDF advance follows news that Egypt and Qatar attempted a fast one, via global media, by getting HAMAS to accept a partial and phased release of hostages, another islamist ruse which Israel had fervently rejected days earlier.

Defense Minister Katz has approved "Gideon's Chariots B" as the official IDF nomenclature for the operation to conquer Gaza City. Israel has to date completed the conquest of 75% of the Gaza Strip. The ongoing IDF advance is a well-planned maneuver known as 'shaping the battlespace.' The estimate to complete this operation is reported to be three to four months or by the close of 2025.

20 August 2025: With respect to the operational time line noted above, PM Netanyahu has directed that the operational time line be considerably shortened. It appears that execution of this directive will require overwhelming force and lethality above and below ground level.

31 August 2025: The title of this SITREP is the crux of the problem Israel has had since June of 1967! 

The outine map of modern Eretz Israel is misleading because it is still only a dream, something hoped for instead of something taken back, something achieved - sovereignty over all of the land of Israel, which includes Judea and Samaria and most importantly Jerusalem and Temple Mount.

The jihadist muslims of Gaza have held nuclear-armed Israel at bay for almost two years of continuous warfare because Israel has not achieved sovereignty over all of the land. Isreal has been in a standoff with their enemies all around which are a pricking briar. Israel was brought back into this land which God gave to their fathers in fulfillment an eternal covenant and of a God-breathed prophetic word. 

When Israel moves to rectify this shortcoming of sovereignty only then will Israel will realize what the prophets have all declared "saith the LORD God." 

What if Joshua had not moved on Jericho as instructed? What if Moses had not led Israel out of Egypt?

Prophetic Scripture tells us that all the nations will beseige Jerusalem. Jerusalem under the control of an islamic waqf? No! They will come for Jerusalem and the Temple Mount under Israel's Sovereign control and be dashed to pieces in the process.

Israel in sovereign control of Jerusalem is the key to the fulfillment of all the prophecy we have studied here. Gaza schmaza, it's about Jerusalem!

Final Update 1 September 2025: Based upon the lack of any response to yesterday's update, it appears that no one has an awareness concerning Zechariah's prophetic conversation with the Angel of the Lord, the vision of the horses and the vision of the horns.

Global SITREP B4:25: Egypt and Syria

UPDATED 13 July 2025: The government of Egypt has flat-out rejected the plan put forward for the IDF to redeploy its forces in Gaza in the event of a ceasefire. The Egyptians claim the plan constitutes a "national security" threat to Egypt. Egypt is a co-mediator with Qatar in the currently stalemated talks in Doha for another 60-day hudna between Israel and the Gaza terrorist factions (HAMAS, PIJ, etc.).

It must be noted that HAMAS originated in Egypt as a spinoff of the Al-Ikhwan Al-Muslimun (Muslim Brotherhood). Both Egypt and terrorist sponsoring Qatar have a vested interest in seeing the survival of the terrorist factions in Gaza. In reinforcing their displeasure the Egyptian government says it will increase the deployment of its armored forces opposite Gaza's southern border and across the Israel-Egypt border in the northern Sinai. It is also not lost on Israel's citizens that Egypt facilitated the cross-border arms smuggling that began long before October 7, 2023. Most concerning are the Egyptian statements claiming they may abbrogate (withdraw from) the "peace treaty" with Israel.

Given that HAMAS' is doing everything it can to thwart the Doha talks, it's not inconcievable that a united Islamist front is what Israel is actually facing on its southern borders. We'll look at prophetic Scripture next.

The entirety of Isaiah 19 speaks prophetically about what lies in the near future for Egypt, and also during the Millennium Reign of Christ on the Earth. This chapter is written in easy to understand plain language and largely devoid of high-end symbolic meaning. I leave it to the reader to investigate fully as we've touched on this before.

The bottom line with Isaiah 19 is that no nation of the Earth goes up against Almighty God and survives intact to challenge Him again thereafter, at least not for an entire Millennium and that is swiftly and permanently dealt with as well.

There is also Daniel 11:42-43 which concern the 70th Week of Years specifically with respect to Egypt and the nations to its immediate west and south.

At present we watch numerous prophetic events unfolding in real time and knowing with absolute certainty there is no stopping this flood as it sweeps everything in its path, except the Bride of Christ, into the 70th Week of Years.

UPDATE 15 July 2025: Overnight IDF was attacking Hezbollah in Lebanon's Beqaa Valley where the terrorist Radwan Force is reconstituting its fighting capability in order to attack the IDF and State of Israel. Hezbollah's rearming is in violation of the Lebanon-Israel ceasefire agreement. Violations will result in ever more powerful IDF strikes and other actions by Israel. Lebanon's government has been put on notice.

At the same time the IDF was attacking Syria's interim government forces in the Dara'a and Sweida region of southern Syria. The Syrian advance into Sweida resulted in the loss of several armored vehicles and troops. Israel has vowed to defend the Druze of southern Syria and whose extended families also live in northern Israel.

Also at the same time the IDF mechanized forces were busy pushing into central Gaza City, Jabaliyya and other terrorist hot spots as well as in central and southern Gaza where pockets of HAMAS and PIJ rocket fire into Israel continue sporadically. Egyptian Army forces continue to be reinforced in the northern Sinai opposite the Philadelphi Corridor and to the south opposite Israel's Negev.
