Sooner Rather Than Later...

UPDATED 31 October 2025: The above image illustrates the near future, envisioning the building of the Third Temple. How near is this envisioned future? Sooner than most people have yet to consider its nearness. 

Certainly, it will follow the end of the ongoing war in Gaza which is currently in hiatus at the insistence of an American president. And the ongoing yet unfinished war in Lebanon versus the radical Shi'a militias and now, with a high probability, versus the army of the current government of Lebanon itself (Joshua 13:1-7). And the long unfinished war with Syria and the dissolution of that state (Isaiah 17), in addition to the fulfillment of Isaiah 11:14 which is directly connected to the Gaza war. In fact, all three of these prophetic verses are inclusive of each other because they all come from the same source, the LORD God. Tying all of these together is the prophet Ezekiel who also received the word of the LORD and spoke it in Ezekiel 28:24-26. 

None of this is new to longtime reader of Eschatology Today, but as with all of Scripture is bears repeating and repeating again until the Harpazo removes us and the Restrainer from this world. We're in the midst of a flood, albeit one that that has the appearance of a trickle at times, yet we are assured the LORD keeps His Covenants and His appointments.

2 November 2025: Indications and Warnings (I&W) concerning renewed warfare on Israel's periphery, while forecast months ago on Eschatology Today (we fully understand the jihadist' objectives and battle rhythms) are now present in most media outlets.

Despite the Trump Administration's repeated denials on the application of the Judea and Samaria sovereignty initiative in the Knesset, the facts within PA-controlled areas of the same region paint an entirely different future. 

The dictatorship of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is facing a near-term Arab overthrow. Polling done by a Ramallah organization reveals that 80% of Arabs in PA-controlled cities simply want Abbas gone and a type of the late-Yahya Sinwar as his replacement. In sum, the Arabs within Judea and Samaria want HAMAS rule. 77% also want HAMAS to remain in Gaza. These Arabs don't want a new intifada, they want full-scale jihad against Israel.

To the north an unambiguous warning from Israel has been delivered to President Aoun's increasingly bellicose government over its "feet dragging" to disarm Hezbollah and remove all traces of the Shi'a jihadists to northern Lebanon. Intel coming from the U.S. Ambassador (which originates from within the USIC) reveals Hezbollah's fighting forces number 40,000 and a refurbished rocket arsenal aimed at northern Israeli communities of 25,000 to 30,000. Instead of relocating Hezbollah north of the Litani River the Lebanese Army is deploying southwards to confront the IDF. The Lebanese government is preferential to conflict with Israel vice civil war with Hezbollah - a no-win scenario to be sure.

We are all well aware of the Lord's prophetic word, of its inevitability. What is quite evident now are the possible - if not probable - catalysts to literal fulfillment.

This map indicates the IRGC-QF clandestine use of Suakin Port, 50 km south of Port Sudan, which connects to a overland-bridge crossing Egypt to a final maritime leg to Beirut, Lebanon. Think Ezekiel 38/39 where Persia, Kuwsh and Put are noted.

This graphic illustrates the various AORs of Hezbollah's subunits in southern Lebanon (Aziz and Nasr) and the Badr unit north of the Litani River, plus the strategic depth afforded by the Beqaa Valley. This prophetically is related directly to Joshua 13:5.

UPDATE 12 November 2025: The USS Ford (CVN-78) Carrier Strike Group 12 (CSG-12) arrived on station in the SOUTHCOM AOR yesterday. CVN-78 has Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 8 embarked. CSG-12 also  includes USS Bainbridge (DDG 96), USS Mahan (DDG 72), and the integrated air and missile defense command ship USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG 81).

Back-to-back X-class solar flares and CMEs resulted in the magnificent red and green aurora seen last evening/this morning over Cheyenne, Wyoming. This set of auroras have the appearance of a type of cosmic rainbow to my eyes.

UPDATE 16 November 2025: The prophetic Word of God often comes to fulfillment in ways and by means no human being can fathom beforehand. This, by all appearances, appears to be the present situation. The Trump Administration has placed itself in league with Muslim/Islamic nations who worship a false god. The Abraham Accords are an attempt to legitimize and place on equal footing the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob with a false god and which denies the purely divine nature of Jesus the Christ (Yeshua HaMashiach). Hailed by many the world over as a pathway to peace for several years now, it has always had hidden within it what can now be clearly seen as a man-made counter to the Will of God regarding the restoration and redemption of Israel in the land given to Israel's fathers.

On this basis the Trump Administration has taken to the United Nations for a vote to legitimize the division of the God-given Land Covenant. As of this morning the key members of Israel's cabinet met and made an unequivocal statement that there will not be any pathway to the creation of a "Palestinian State" west of the Jordan River. There is also now a hard point of division between the foreign policy of the United States and that of the State of Israel which never existed previously. Push is rapidly coming to shove. The passage of the United Nation vote is reportedly assured due to the majority of islamic nations that are in support of it - simply because they see it as a definitive path to the destruction of the State of Israel.

Will a firm rejection by Israel of the United Nations Security Council vote to partition Eretz Israel not result in a war with the "pricking briars" of the enemy nations all around? The Trump proposal should receive at least nine votes of the fifteen UNSC member nations to secure its passage. Eschatology Today cannot see how such a war can be avoided due to the fact that all of the Lord's prophets have foretold it, Asaph, Isaiah and Ezekiel in particular, as well as the specific results that will come out of such a war. This situation, as currently understood, has major implications for an epic prophetic convergence.

Global SITREP G8-21: The Crisis in Jerusalem

14 November 2021: Around 5 AM this morning Eschatology Today received an Email notification from a Jewish source in Jerusalem, Israel. Briefly stated, the news is that the Biden Administration has been pressuring the Israeli government to "abandon Israel's sovereignty over the entire city of Jerusalem." To this end the Biden Administration, and Eschatology Today has been very unambiguous about who and what constitutes the "Biden Administration, plans to separate the former US Consulate General (18 Argon Street) in the city to serve as the U.S. Embassy to "Palestine." This effort has been in Israel's secular news within the past couple of days, most notably in The Jerusalem Post. 

On the surface this effort seeks to undo all that was accomplished by the Trump Administration in 2018 with the move of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem (14 David Flusser Street) in recognition of the 2017 U.S. declaration of Jerusalem as "the eternal and sacred capital" of the State of Israel. The functions of the consulate general were then merged into the U.S. Embassy to serve as a Palestinian Affairs Unit. Thus far the government of Israel has expressed vehement opposition to Biden-Blinken plan, and that is a good thing.

However, the godless Biden Administration and its State Department agenda to force Israel to renounce its sovereignty over Jerusalem is prophetically explosive to say the least. Zechariah 12 stands as the prophetically clear danger claxon to all concerned. But even more than that, Jeremiah 12 is indicative of the nearness of the coming deliverance of all Israel during the 70th Week of years. If you're not clear-minded about the prophecy of Jeremiah 12, now would be a very, very good time to refresh! Eschatology Today views this as a great sign for the end of the current dispensation and the brief dispensation which follows - the 7 literal years of the prophetic 70th Week of Israel. 

In whose name is Jerusalem? It is where the Lord God has placed His Name (2 Kings 21:4-7).

Global SITREP E10-21: Operation Guardian of the Walls

UPDATE 15 May 2021: According to info received from a special edition of the MEMRI Iran Threat Monitor Project (ITMP) communication was made from HAMAS Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades which revealed that both HAMAS and PIJ are firing Iranian-made "Sejjil" missiles and several other types of Iranian "arrows" with the designations SH85, J80, SA120, S40 and Q20.

The enemy also has a name for this war. That name is "The Al-Quds (Jerusalem) Swords War." IRGC General Mohammed-Hossein Sepehr has stated that Iran has built bases from Tehran to Baghdad, and from there to Beirut, Syria, Yemen, and to the Horn of Africa. These bases have been built in order to wage war on the cancerous growth that is Israel. He stated, "We have a religious duty to annihilate Israel."

The weapons noted above were delivered to Syria on direct flights from Iran, moved overland into Lebanon where they went to Hezbollah armories. From there they were transported by sea to Gaza. Obviously, these weapons transfers occurred over many years; they were personally overseen of Hajj Qassam Solemani, the late general who ran the IRGC Qods Force. The transfers also involved direct meetings between Hassan Nasrallah of Hezbollah and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. 

Al-Assad's specific approval for the transfer of the missiles was discussed al length by Nasrallah and Solemani with them agreeing that whoever met him face-to-face first would request his permission to execute the transfer to HAMAS. Nasrallah had the face-to-face and al-Assad's response to the transfer request was "as far as I am concerned, no problem."

Also among the weaponry transferred were Russian-made Kornet anti-tank missiles sold to Iran, transferred to Syria and on to HAMAS in Gaza. There are also armed "suicide drones," known as "Shahab." Some of these Shahab drones have recently attacked Israel's natural gas platforms off the coast of Gaza. Some of the transfers also were routed through the former regime in Sudan. Much of those transfers were conducted under the guise of "diplomatic relations." The movement of diplomatic "bags" is covered under international accords; a "bag" may be as large as a shipping container. They are exempt from the routine customs inspections.

Israel was aware of the weapons transfers and has  been attacking their storage depots inside Syria for well over a year now. Based upon the sheer size of the missile barrage from Gaza, Israel got some of the shipment, but most certainly not all of them. The IDF have got a serious fight on their hands. It's no coincidence that rockets continue to trickle into Israel from both Lebanon and Syria in the past couple of days. A sign of the expanded war to come, no doubt. 

An almost certain IDF armor incursion into Gaza will encounter the Kornet ATGM and other weapons. These ATGMs are stationed near to the Gaza border with Israel to exact a heavy toll on IDF armor. The IRGC Qods Force, Hezbollah and HAMAS/PIJ work very closely together, like to peas in a pod; they all have the same higher command structure. 

Altogether, this war was planned for years in advance and the objective is to soundly "defeat the occupation forces" and liberate all of Palestine. Planning for this war really intensified in May of 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The HAMAS/PIJ soldiers came from both Gaza and Judea and Samaria. They trained covertly at camps set up by Soleimani and they numbers in the thousands. Many have returned to their homes; some now are serving as the tip of the 5th column spear inside Israel.  As we all know from Psalm 83, this is precisely the objective as prophesied by Asaph.

11 May 2021:  Operation Guardian of the Walls is the name of Israel's ongoing military response to HAMAS and PIJ rocket and incendiary attacks. Closing in on nearly 300 strikes of all types in Gaza alone as of this morning, 11 May. The number of terror rockets fired into Israel is about the same.

The neoCommunist Biden Admin and Democrat Party have lost all credibility in Israel. An epic rupture in bilateral relations that has little chance of restoration has occurred in the last 5 days. Bottom line: Israel has been wholly betrayed by Biden and Democrats who now openly side with Islamic jihadists in Gaza and within Israel itself.

If you've been following comments under SITREP E9-21 then you well aware of the circumstance of how this new conflaggration began in Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. This frees Eschatology Today to focus on current news and leave the history to historians.

We are informed by the prophet Ezekiel that prior to the Gog/Magog invasion God speaks to the mind of Gog, "You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’." It may yet turn out that Operation Guardian of the Walls might morph into the fulfillment of Ezekiels prophecy. The current rhetoric coming from PM Netanyahu has been heard repeatedly in the on again-off again conflicts with the Islamic jihadists of the Gaza Strip. 

Therefore it remains to be seen in the coming hours/days if this operation truly is the debut of Israel's new no-holds-barred warfighting doctrine we've discussed recently as "Israel Victory." The IV doctrine has all of the elements necessary to produce the outcome foretold by Asaph, Isaiah, Ezekiel and perhaps even Jeremiah. The Iranian hand in Gaza is plainly evident, and a northern front operation by Hezbollah and Syria is entirely possible. It's also interesting to note that this newest shooting war in the Holy Land has erupted just about two weeks prior to Pentecost.

Global SITREP A8-19: Temple Mount

24 February 2019: Last night Israeli police arrested the man pictured above, the head of the Jerusalem Waqf, because on Friday, 22 February, he ordered the breaking of the locked chain in place since 2003 at the Gate of Mercy. This gate, known in Hebrew as the Sha'ar HaRachamim, is known in Christianity as the Golden Gate and provides direct access to the Temple Mount.

The Friday order to break in allowed Muslims to swarm inside the long-closed interior compound through double doors known as Bab al-Rahma (southern door) and bab al-Taubah (northern door). Also arrested was Sheikh Salhab's deputy, HAMAS' Sheikh Najih Bakirat, who is also leads the Academy of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Islamic media are referring to these arrests as "abductions." In this action the Jordanian Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Abdul Nasser Abu Al-Basal, declared Israeli forces  to be "playing with fire." Later this morning the two Waqf officials were released from police custody with an order banning them from Temple Mount for one week.

In this action the Islamic Waqf is seeking to usurp Israeli sovereignty by igniting a full-fledged religious war over control of the Temple Mount. It is not Israel that plays with fire, but Islam itself. Eschatology Today made this clear nearly ten years ago when we quoted Zechariah 12:2-3 in the post titled: America, Listen to the Lord thy God and Leave Jerusalem Alone!!! 

"Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of [a]drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it."

Global SITREP B6-18: Jerusalem and the Temple Mount

23 May 2018: Islamists like having their way in almost every conceivable venue. However, when it comes to imagery of currently non-existent realities, not so much. 

This is especially true when it comes to U.S. Ambassador David Friedman who had his smiling visage captured while standing next to a large modern-day portrait of the City of Jerusalem. This Jerusalem does not yet exist because it illustrates the Temple Mount minus the Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque. This image was enough for one of Mahmoud Abbas' innermost circle to refer to our Ambassador as a "terrorist settler."

Take a closer look by clicking on the image above. You'll notice that while the two aforementioned structures are absent, the very and imminently prophetic Third Temple is very much present in the very center (heart) of the portrait. 

This is not a new image. There have been dozens of these produced over the years. Eschatology Today published one of them back in January 2014 at the head of a post entitled "All These Things Be Fulfilled." What is new at this time is that the U.S. Ambassador, fresh from his newly opened U.S. Embassy residence in Jerusalem, has had his smiling image taken standing next to one. 

Every picture is worth a thousand words, but this image is speaking volumes, especially with the United States Government representative to Israel appearing as he does with it. Altogether this image conveys official U.S. Government sanction to the portrait and what it depicts. Some will call this inflammatory. Eschatology Today will call it eminently prophetic as this image will shortly become the fact-of-the-matter for the Jerusalem and Temple Mount skyline.

How would it become the fact-of-the-matter reality as prophesied in God's Word? It is the assessment of Eschatology Today that Iran is the unspoken key. Iran's military presence in Syria is the key to a lot of unfolding prophetic fulfillment. If Iran were not in Syria, Israel would have no over-riding interest in Syria and no reason to conduct preemptive strikes anywhere on Syrian territory. 

However, the current military fact is that as long as Iran is in Syria, then Israel MUST continue to launch heavy preemptive strikes on all of its military assets and personnel. There is no other option for Israel. And any one of the coming strikes could be the ignition point for the warfighting that would eventually reach Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.

Global SITREP A9-18: The Focus on Jerusalem

24 February 2018: This SITREP is an essential update for three previous SITREPs: C5-17 Making Sense of Current Events of 4 June 2017, the final update to D10-17 Paradigm Shattering Changes Reshaping the Middle East - Part II of 6 December 2017 and the first SITREP of 1 January 2017, A1-17 Israel Sovereignty. A re-familiarization of these SITREPs from the oldest to the most recent is a recommeded refresher.

These three Global SITREPs are the Eschatology Today foundation documenting the greatest change to come to Jerusalem since its liberation fifty years ago in June 1967 and the sudden establishment of the United States Embassy in the city just 80 days into the future from today, and the as yet unknown but sudden standing up of the 3rd Temple in the Holiest city on the earth and the future capital city of the planet.

Here's the big news if you've not yet heard it. On May 14, 2018 there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Embassy of the United States of America in Jerusalem (seen in the image above), the newly and officially recognized capital city of the State of Israel, on the 70th anniversary of Israel's modern existence. To repeat that last bit again: "on the 70th anniversary of Israel's modern existence." The timing of this event is absolutely perfect, so perfect that it simply has to be ordained by the LORD.

There should be a lot of pastors talking about this because throughout Israel's history periods of 70 years have always been milestones, benchmarks. In the 9th chapter of the book that bears his name Daniel states his understanding "by the books" of the significance of 70 years. Daniel's understanding, until the angel Gabriel came and explained these things to him in detail, was based upon what the prophet Jeremiah in chapters 25 and 29 had given as God-breathed prophesy. 

This might be something a good pastor properly atuned by the Holy Spirit to in-the-process-of-fulfillment Bible prophecy might talk about in this Sunday's sermon, no? If not, then might he want to preempt his prepared sermon and reconsider due to the importance of this subject, no? Just asking, because it is a pretty important subject in these last days. If not, then a repeat of Jeremiah 25:3-4 might well be in progress and the particular pastor who misses this important event is not hearing what God has spoken by the Holy Spirit. Israel, for the most part, has a good reason at present for such Spiritual blindness or deafness (Deuteronomy 29:4 and Isaiah 29:10), but a born-again pastor of The Word? So, we make note of it here as has been the case for some years now.

May 14, 2018 marks the 10th shavuim since Israel was born in a day back in 1948 in fulfillment of Isaiah 66:8. A shavuim is the Hebrew word for a group of seven, seven of anything, but in this instance the context is that we are talking in terms of years. May 14 2018 is the 10th shavuim in the modern-day context of Israel's existence. 

This 70 anniversary is an important milestone or benchmark. Just as Daniel realized he was very near the end of the 70 years prophesied by Jeremiah for the Babylonian captivity, so too we realize that the 70th year of Israel's existence points directly to an imminent start of the final 70th Week of Gabriels prophecy; it highlights that we're very near the end of that gap of time, the so-called Church Age, which began at the conclusion of the 69th of the 70 weeks of years in Gabriel's prophecy (Daniel 9:24-27).

🔺BREAKING NEWS: 22 January 2018: Speaking at a special session of the Knesset U.S. VP Mike Pence tweeted from Israel shortly thereafter that the new US Embassy in Jerusalem, Israel will be opened before the end of  "next year" (2019). 

Global SITREP E1-17: Paradigm Shattering Changes Reshaping the Middle East - Part III

Israel's Iron Dome destroying HAMAS rockets evening of 13DEC17

13 December 2017: As of this evening, and within the past three hours, additional war by attrition rocket fire from Gaza into Israel has occurred. At least three rockets were fired by Gaza terrorists as of this writing. This rocket fire into Israel is exactly what the Spirit-inspired prophet Ezekiel intended when he wrote in Ezekiel 28:24...

"And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the Lord GOD."

The key context in the above Divine warning strictly applies not only to all of Gaza, but also to Lebanon, Judea, Samaria, Sinai and Jordan. Make no mistake, when it comes to Israel returning fire in a meaningful manner, that fire will be merciless, unrelenting and overwhelming. The meaningful IDF response, when it comes, will not consist pin-pricks at local HAMAS or Jihad Islami targets of opportunity. The meaningful response will cleanse Gaza completely, permanently of any threat to Israel.

10 December 2017: Has there ever been seen an image like the one above, where another nation's national emblem was put upon Jerusalem's Old City wall side-by-side with Israel's national emblem, since the founding of Israel 70 years ago? This display was done by the municipal government of Jerusalem one hour prior to or in anticipation of President Trump's announcement. Usually in that part of the world, as well as in the University of California at Berkeley, the American flag is trampled upon and burned more often than not.

Nevertheless, this overt display powerfully illustrates Israel's current secular nature. It graphically illustrates Israel's thanksgiving to America for the blessing bestowed upon it instead of the God of their fathers. It illustrates how willing Israel will be to accept a secular "covenant among many" that comes in the wake of the battle of Ezekiel 38/39. If you're thinking as Eschatology Today is thinking about this - there's something wrong with this eschatologically based upon what Ezekiel revealed from God in chapter 39:21-29. 

It occurs in this thinking that one method with which the Lord can and will instantaneously change this particular Israel-America paradigm would be to send His Son for His bride. The blessed hope of all born-again believers, a great majority of whom dwell in these United States, the Harpazo, will instantly alter the secular and religious dynamic back to and probably well beyond what was experienced during the eight years of the Obama Administration. Back to a vehemently leftist and very anti-Israel dynamic with the Restrainer removed. We've all had thoughts on this for some time now. Based upon those thoughts what is stated above seems very reasonable to assume for the near future.

If you find disagreement with this, then take a look at what the venom-spewing Israeli leftists are saying today in their analysis piece at Haaretz: Blame the Christians for the coming of Armageddon. Already we are hated for His Name's sake. So comes the fulfillment of the Lord's prophecy found in Matthew 10:22-23.

Jerusalem is the capital of Israel 7 December 2017

07 December 2017: The above image is obviously one taken by a Reuters photographer this morning somewhere in Judea and Samaria as the American recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital city occurred well after sundown. The scene above is one we all expected to see this morning. The battle lines are clearly drawn and low-intensity conflict of various forms has been engaged by the IDF in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and soon from Gaza and the Sinai.

The American declaration on Jerusalem has also been seized upon by the Iranian Ayatollah as casus belli (an act or situation provoking or justifying war) against the United States of America. The IRGC, its Qods Force and the various militias under their control do nothing without the Ayatollah's approval. As stated in SITREP D1/Part I of this series, these enemies have declared US armed forces in Syria and Iraq as targets to be attacked. 

Like a pebble tossed into a standing body of water, or the epicenter of an earthquake, the waves created by those kinds of events quickly radiate outwards in every direction. In Syria and Iraq the battle lines now also exist wherever U.S. forces are operating in those countries and, most probably, for hundreds of miles beyond.

Global SITREP D9-15: On A Sunny Day Jerusalem...

CAUTION: The video below contains graphic terrorist violence. It was posted from Israel on 13 October 2015. It shows a male "Palestinian" terrorist waging jihad against random Israeli people on a street in Jerusalem. The terrorist runs down a man with his automobile, the terrorist then gets out and hacks his victim to death with a meat cleaver. Then this terrorist attacks the next man he sees who is responding to the violence and is immediately murdered with the same meat cleaver. An Israeli armed with a small caliber automatic handgun then shoots the terrorist point-blank in self-defense. The small caliber rounds do not stop the terrorist and he rises twice more until nearly the entire clip finally puts him down for good. 

15 October 2015: We have all heard of the Islam-mandated violence committed by "Palestinians" against the average citizens and families of Israel for all of 15 years now, ever since the "intifada' of 2000. Pizza parlors blown up, buses blown up, sniper fire into residential neighborhoods, kidnappings, stabbings and home invasions where cold-blooded murder of the family is the objective. This is unrestrained Islamic jihad in its purest form waged by "Palestinians" against the entire population of Israel. FINAL UPDATE 21 October 2014: Brothers and Sisters in Christ, it seems as though the point of all this may have been missed. We're not getting it, so to speak. Many of us complain that their pastors do not teach prophecy. Okay, so they're not fully teaching the word of God. So why are they still your pastor?

Under the title of this 'Eschatology Today' blog are the words "Current world events seen through the clarifying lens of the Lord's inerrant prophetic word." The Lord's inerrant prophetic word. I teach Bible prophecy on this blog, through current events especially because so very much of the imminent fulfillment of Bible prophecy is about military conflict and the weapons of modern warfare. These are the finer details of the bigger picture that has already been given to us by God.

Allow me illustrate my conclusion that "we're not getting it" by asking a question. Is there a more perfect word than what God has already given us in the Holy Bible? Or would it be better if I were to quote directly from the English Standard Version of The Second Epistle of Peter ? "And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts."

What of these future things have the prophetic words of the Lord failed to inform us about? Do we really need more books and DVDs on the subject of Bible prophecy, or do we really need just to read and study what the Lord has already put directly in front of our eyes in virtually every language of mankind? 

Yet many of us say, "we will not be here to see these things, we cannot know how they will come to pass."  Not true! We have already seen them occur through the fully confirmed prophetic word of God! 

In the prophetic Book of Daniel we are instructed point blank about the person and ethnic origin of the man who will be the Antichrist. There is no mystery about that man. This was absolutely confirmed in 168-67 BC via the exploits of the Macedonian-Greek king of the Seleucid Empire, Antiochus IV Epiphanes, the ultra-specific forerunner of Antichrist. And of the coming 70th Week, what part of that yet future event was not precisely foretold to us via the historical events of the 7-year long war from 66 to 73 AD that was neatly divided into two distinct halves between the Roman Empire and Israel? We won't be here to witness the European Antichrist or the 70th Week of Israel? Not true, we already are witness to these events because God has told us about them in great detail and has shown us through the historical record how they will happen in the future.

And the 3rd Jewish Temple, is that construction on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem going to be some kind of exception to the already established prophetic word of God?  Of course not.  Are you still not sure about what is going to happen in the near future fulfillment of Bible prophecy? Are you still not "getting it?" Then read about it in the historical record, and be mindful of the Apostle Peter's unambiguous instruction which I shall once more repeat in a slightly altered paraphrase: The fully confirmed prophetic word of God which you do well to pay attention to as a lamp in a dark place until the Harpazo takes place.

17 October 2014: We know from Bible prophecy, such as the verse from Jesus' Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24:15 and the angel Gabriel's earlier prophecy of Daniel 9:27, that the structure occupying the physical site of the first and second Temples on Mount Moriah continues to exist on time borrowed from God the Father, just as the Bride of Christ's continued presence on this earth is based upon His Supreme Authority alone. 

However, it's been some time since I have seen jihadist muslims exhibiting a palpable fear of the inevitable demise of the Dome of the Rock. This notice came in the form of two articles this week at YNETNews.com.

The first was Wednesday, 15 October's "Powder Keg on Temple Mount" by Assaf Kamar, and the second is yesterday's follow up published by Reuters News Service, "HAMAS leader urges Muslims to defend Temple Mount mosque from 'Israeli takeover'." 

The physical disappearance of the Dome of the Rock from Mount Moriah, only to be replaced by the third and final Temple to be constructed by human hands, is essentially the LORD God declaring His eternal sovereignty over Jerusalem and the Mount for His sovereign people, the whole House of Israel. This inevitability is expressed in modern parlance in the title of this SITREP, as "Going... Going... (soon to be)Gone!"

Then what? Then the conditions will be right for the 3rd Temple, the 70th Week Temple, the temple of the final Abomination of Desolation, to be constructed. Israel will have secured national sovereignty over the Mount to construct "the temple of God," or "naos Theos" in the original Greek written by John of Patmos in The Revelation of Jesus Christ, chapter 11, verse 1. The Greek word Naos refers only to that part of the physical, measurable temple structure on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem which contains both the Holy of Holies and the Holy Place. The Greek word Theos, refers specifically to the Godhead Trinity, that is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The LORD God.

Jewish men will construct this 3rd Temple in absolute accordance with the positive commandment given to them in ancient times by God on Mount Sinai the day after Yom Kippur. According to the Temple Mount Institute, the Lord's commandment to rebuild the temple is "one of the 613 mitzvot, the commandments that Israel is perpetually obligated to fulfill." It has been a binding obligation to rebuild the Holy Temple upon every successive generation of Jews since the destruction of the last temple in 70 AD. And as it is written in 1st Chronicles 28:19 per David's instructions to Solomon in building the 1st Temple, “All this,” said David, “the Lord made me understand in writing, by His hand upon me, all the works of these plans.” And follow these plans they did and will do so yet again in our time!

All of the vessels of the Holy Temple are an integral part of its full construction, and its physical design is detailed within the Tractate Middot of the Talmud Bavli (Babylonian Talmud) and conforms to the dimensions, characteristics and attributes of the Second Temple begun by Zerubabbel in 538 BC, precisely 70 years after the destruction of the Solomon's Temple by Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon in 587 BC, and completed in 515 BC. This completion is fully celebrated in Ezra 3:10, and so pleased God that He prompted the prophet Haggai (Haggai 2:23) to present Zerubabbel with a special blessing: "On that day, declares the LORD of hosts, I will take you, O Zerubbabel my servant, the son of Shealtiel, declares the LORD, and make you like a signet ring, for I have chosen you, declares the LORD of hosts."

Notice something in the above two paragraphs. There is nothing here from the Christian perspective. Not a single word in any interpretation of prophecy, nor is there any distinctly Christian perspective. There is just the written commandment of God carried out by His people. There is no Christian interference in something uniquely Jewish! And so shall it be with the rebuilding of the coming Holy Temple, by Jewish hands and in strict conformity with Divine instructions. 

It is most interesting to make an important note of fact here that none of the Holy Temple instructions in the Book of Ezekiel are 100% relevant to what the Jews will soon be rebuilding on Mount Moriah. Most of the 2nd Temple's construction was after the 1st Temple that Solomon built, with only certain aspects of Ezekiel's Temple (Chapters 40-43) included in the overall design as it represented a far future Temple. That fact would make the full application of Ezekiel's prophetic instructions specifically relevant to the future post-70th Week Temple, the Holy Temple of Jesus' Millennial Kingdom, and the time when very specific geographic and topographical considerations as described will become totally fulfilled in the very act of the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Global SITREP B10-13: The Jordan Valley

UPDATE 27 March 2014:  Getting back to the premise of the 20 December post regarding the "great upheaval" that will have to overtake Jordan, an article published in the Winter 2012 edition of Middle East Quarterly (link is to a .pdf) is now making the intel round again. The article was authored by Mudar Zahran and it gives a glimpse of what that upheaval might look like as well as its causation.

In that article Zahran shows how the relative clam in Amman, Jordan is an illusion maintained by the Hashemite, (i.e. Bedouin) royal family and regime. Zahran effectively points out that the "Palestinians" are the largest ethnic group within Jordan, and that they have a profound hatred of the Hashemite regime whom they view as illegitimate occupiers and intruders upon the eastern half of their country. The bottom line: A full-fledged revolt in Jordan is extremely likely; it would be a revolt where the minimum 66% majority of common "Palestinians" take up arms to overthrow the regime of the minority Hashemite Bedouin elite.

Keep an eye on Jordan as this is precisely the kind of "great upheaval" in Jordan that would be a precursor to Jordan's involvement in the coming Psalm 83 finale. Islamist Palestinians in control of Amman and the rest of that land east of the Jordan River would then rapidly set their sights on Israel as a remainder to be conquered west of the Jordan River. Or so they will think according to Psalm 83.

3 February 2013: Once again DEBKAfile has the confirming data regarding the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan's very strong opposition to a "Palestinian" security or military presence in the Jordan valley. Jordan has once again diplomatically smacked U.S. SECSTATE John Kerry upside his head with the "Treaty of Peace Between the State of Israel and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan." In particular there are two parts of the treaty King Abdullah II wants Kerry to pay attention to: Annex I (borders and sovereignty issues) and Article 9 which deals with Jordan's 'special status' regarding Jerusalem and the Temple Mount and the high priority Israel places on Jordan's historical role in negotiation regarding its final status. In effect King Abdullah II is telling Kerry that there can be no Israel-Palestinian accord without Jordan's concurrence.

06 January 2014: Contrary to most other Israeli media, this morning's news published at DEBKAfile confirms what was posted to this topic one month ago. Most Israeli media are putting a decidedly pro-Kerry spin to their reports, probably because their editorial staffs believe it is better to see whipped-cream-pie-in-the-sky reporting than the truth concerning the abject rejection of US SECSTATE Kerry's so-called "framework" has received from Israel, Jordan and the PA. The best that they can say is that Kerry spent more than 1 hour yesterday in Amman with Jordan's King Abdullah II and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh. However, there is not one word about Jordan's total rejection of Kerry's plan for the Jordan Valley. This is the kind of ridiculous spin one can expect from the globalist's compliant lapdog media.

20 December 2013: The "great upheaval" that will have to occur within Jordan for it to become openly hostile to the existence of Israel is any change to the status of Mount Moriah (Temple Mount) that has existed since the end of the Six Day War in June 1967. This "great upheaval" is something that could be manufactured almost overnight. And it has been. We may refer to this new situation is an Islamic demand for apartheid on Temple Mount, or a Muslim Only Temple Mount.

On the very day of my posting this topic, the issue of Jordanian control of the Temple Mount suddenly reemerged when a Muslim riot erupted in the early afternoon on 6 December was instigated by a Jordanian cleric in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. When Israeli police intervened to halt the Muslim rock-throwing riot directed at themselves, a no-brainer intervention which the Jordanian cleric knew would happen, made-up charges of an Israeli plot to make Muslim worshipers "uncomfortable" at the Mount appeared out of thin air. Even the long-term presence of security cameras on the Mount suddenly became an issue for the clerics as well as Jordanian government ministers.

Now the Muslim's have raised the bar in the control of Temple Mount they were given in great error by General Moshe Dayan some 46 years ago. The Muslim clerics have urged their deceived youth resort to violence and bloodshed in the instant they see any Jew or Christian engage in prayer, or what they believe is prayer, on the ground of the Temple Mount. Previously Christians have been allowed to ascend and to pray on the Mount, but no longer as the Muslim clerics are now declaring the Mount to be a "Muslim Only" religious site.

I am of the assessment that this new situation may well force Israeli authorities, and I mean in the Israeli Knesset, to take action to enforce a full and free access to the Temple Mount by Jews, Christians and Muslims. Per Bible prophecy, Jerusalem, the Temple Mount, will be the center of the "great upheaval" in these last days. It will likely be the largest spark in a sea of sparks to ignite this powder keg in the near-term.

06 December 2013: The geo-political and military situation in the Jordan Valley (image above) is tremendously informative as to where we are prophetically with respect to the fulfillment of Psalm 83, Ezekiel 28:24-26 and Isaiah 11:14 at any point in the near term. This present situation clearly informs that some great upheaval will have to occur within the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (Jordan's official name) for it to become openly hostile to the existence of Israel as made clear in the prophecy.  

As can be determined by reading an article published yesterday morning in The Times of Israel, at the present time Jordan is resolutely supportive of Israel through the IDF maintaining total military control of the Jordan Valley and the West Bank instead of Palestinian Authority's forces. Amman wants Israel to complete a security fence along this frontier because it would be a security benefit for both Jordan and Israel. Jordan has been telling its American ally that it supports Israel's position in the ongoing negotiations with the Palestinian Authority. And US SECSTATE John Kerry's notion of an international security force for this region has already been shot down in flames, almost before it was presented to these nations.

Obviously Jordan and the PA are not reading from the same sheet of deadly music as seen in the above noted prophecies, therefore something of a sea-change will have to occur between these two nations. Isaiah 17 might be the catalyst for that change, but only time will tell. It's clear to me that Jordan will be key to how the final fulfillment of the Psalm 83 prophecy comes to fulfillment. We'll keep an eye on this for new developments.

The map above  has been added to illustrate the nations and peoples prophetically identified by Asaph in Psalm 83. This is how the region was geo-politically divided 2,900-3,000 years ago. However, at that time none of these nations or peoples were united in an alliance against Israel. Only since 1948 A.D. has this been true, making Psalm 83 a prophecy in he process of fulfillment for our time.

Ezekiel 37:10 "Meh'ode Gadowl Chayil"

29 December 2012:  Ezekiel 37 is a now fulfilled prophecy about the restoration of modern Israel. In modern times Ezekiel's ancient prophetic vision of a valley filled with dead, dry bones which received new flesh upon them and a spirit that God breathed upon from the four winds of the earth came to fulfillment just two years after the Holocaust in the death camps and ovens of Nazi controlled Europe. The tenth verse of Ezekiel 37 tells us these bones then stood up as "mehode gadowl chayil" - "an exceedingly great army."  This army is "the whole house of Israel," and it is known to us as Tzva Hahagana LeYisra'el, literally The Army of Defense for Israel, the IDF.

We will take a look at the eschatological future of the IDF, what the Word of God does and, surprisingly enough, does not have to say about it. However, no discussion about the future of the IDF can be complete without at least a brief look at its origins, exactly as Ezekiel foretold that this exceedingly great army would suddenly arise in the land of Israel and that valley of dry bones. An executive summary on origin of the IDF and its Psalm 83 adversaries can be found in Eschatology Today's original 5-part series from 2009: The Prophetic Road to Revelation (Part II). 

As we all see from the history of the Psalm 83 military engagements fought thus far, the IDF has emerged victorious at a high cost in each one of them. The concluding battles on the southern, central and northern fronts will be the same, and according to the related Isaiah 17 text, even more so. However, as with most things prophetic, the IDF does not operate in a vacuum, particularly in these few years prior to the 70th Week. The difference has been the spiritual realm activity manifest on Earth by Israel's prince, the archangel Michael. In these days prior to the Lord pouring out His Spirit upon the whole house of Israel the archangel Michael has been busy and he's going to become busier.

It is the final prophetic word of Gabriel  to Daniel found in chapter 12 verses1-3 which tie all of this together and informs us of the archangel Michael's role:

“At that time Michael shall stand up,
The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;
And there shall be a time of trouble,
Such as never was since there was a nation,
Even to that time.
And at that time your people shall be delivered,
Every one who is found written in the book.

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life,
Some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Those who are wise shall shine
Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness
Like the stars forever and ever."

Going 'Back to the Future' with the angel Gabriel

The direct interaction between the prophet Daniel and the angel Gabriel occurs over several chapters. Chapters 10-12 repeat and refine the visions given to Daniel in chapter 7, as well as 8 and 9. Daniel  chapters 8 through 12 in themselves are a more detailed look at the last days. These details Daniel tells us about came from Gabriel beginning in 550 BC (Daniel 8:1) and are a focused prophetic look at the period of human history beginning one-hundred ninety six years into the future, or 334 BC, when the Macedonian-Greek army under Alexander the Great crossed the Hellespont (the Dardanelles Strait) between Greece and the Persian Empire fulfilling the prophecy of the "Ram and the Goat" and concluding with the empire of the fourth beast, the Antichrist and the verses of Daniel 12 quoted above still in our future.

What is amazing in all of this is that there's not so much as a single mention of an Israeli army, the IDF, in the last days events and battles described. Nothing. The closest approach to describing the period of time we are living in right now is found in Daniel 9 where Daniel, fully understanding the word of the Lord through the prophet Jeremiah and the visions given to him thus far by Gabriel, is in the midst of extremely fervent imprecatory prayer and supplications to the Lord in loudly confessing all of the sins of the whole of Israel from the Exodus out of Egypt to the present day. We can know that the concluding period within this prayer is the present day because the Israel that Daniel is referring to is not the one taken captive in Babylon, but rather mirrors the Israel that Aspah prophesied about in Psalm 83.

Daniel 9:16 (emphasis added)

“O Lord, according to all Your righteousness, I pray, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people are a reproach to all those around us." 

The very next sentence in Daniel's prayer refers directly to the currently non-existent Temple in Jerusalem, and it is followed with a plea that is also in agreement with that of Asaph in the very first words of Psalm 83. I think it to be more than obvious that the IDF has been raised up as declared in Ezekiel 37:10 to be the Lord's instrument in accomplishing His purposes in answering the Spirit-led prayers of Asaph, Daniel and all of ancient Israel's prophets. These ultimate last day purposes of the Lord commence with the fulfillment Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 28:24-26 and they are purposes which precede the arrival of the 70th Week as foretold by Gabriel.

What is not evident in Scripture is that following the overwhelming victory of Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 28 when Israel is subsequently dwelling in the land safely and securely that anything like the IDF and its nuclear weaponry exists to defend Israel during the 70th Week. It may exist in its present form up until the Antichrist's confirmation of a "covenant among many," but during the 70th Week there is no reference in Scripture that points to the continued existence of the IDF. At that time God is working His will directly and through the activities of the Two Witness and 144,000 Jewish evangelists.

When Will The Third Temple Be Built?

04 December 2009: The Third Temple is coming to Jerusalem. However I have my doubts whether its construction will have anything to do with the reports being circulated regarding a long deceased rabbi by the name of Vilna Gaon or the alleged imminent destruction of the newly reconstrcuted Hurva (Ruins) Synagogue in Jerusalem.

We all know that the Third Temple will be where the Jews reinstate the daily worship and daily sacrifice which the Antichrist will put a stop to. It will be within the Temple, in that part known as the Holy Place, where an image that will be made to speak will be stood up.

These things have occured in the past as a template for the future, during the reign of the prototype antichrist, Seleucid King Antiochus IV Epiphanes. This event is the Abomination of Desolation.

Our Lord and Savior told us so:

“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place...”

I also believe that God's Word tells us when the Third Temple will be built during these last days. This is yet another specific template of a future prophetic event found in the Old Testament.The timing reference is related to the timing and conditions that were required for the building of Solomon's Temple on the Lord's specific instructions:

1 Kings 5:1-5, verses 3 and 4 especially.

1 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon, because he heard that they had anointed him king in place of his father, for Hiram had always loved David.

2 Then Solomon sent to Hiram, saying:

3 You know how my father David could not build a house for the name of the LORD his God because of the wars which were fought against him on every side, until the LORD put his foes under the soles of his feet.

4 But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side; there is neither adversary nor evil occurrence.

5 And behold, I propose to build a house for the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spoke to my father David, saying, “Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, he shall build the house for My name.”

After the enemies are defeated and wars on Israel's every side are won, then we'll see the condition set for the rebuilding of this prophetically important structure. After Isaiah 17, Psalm 83 are fulfilled I do expect the Temple to be constructed very quickly thereafter.

It will be through the reinstatement of Hebrew Temple worship in the Temple in Jerusalem that God will pour out His Spirit on all Israel in fulfillment of Romans 11 and a host of other Bible prophecies. And the scales will be removed from their eyes and they will look upon Him whom they pierced.

And the Bride is in Heaven with Messiah.
