24 February 2018: This SITREP is an essential update for three previous SITREPs: C5-17 Making Sense of Current Events of 4 June 2017, the final update to D10-17 Paradigm Shattering Changes Reshaping the Middle East - Part II of 6 December 2017 and the first SITREP of 1 January 2017, A1-17 Israel Sovereignty. A re-familiarization of these SITREPs from the oldest to the most recent is a recommeded refresher.
These three Global SITREPs are the Eschatology Today foundation documenting the greatest change to come to Jerusalem since its liberation fifty years ago in June 1967 and the sudden establishment of the United States Embassy in the city just 80 days into the future from today, and the as yet unknown but sudden standing up of the 3rd Temple in the Holiest city on the earth and the future capital city of the planet.
Here's the big news if you've not yet heard it. On May 14, 2018 there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Embassy of the United States of America in Jerusalem (seen in the image above), the newly and officially recognized capital city of the State of Israel, on the 70th anniversary of Israel's modern existence. To repeat that last bit again: "on the 70th anniversary of Israel's modern existence." The timing of this event is absolutely perfect, so perfect that it simply has to be ordained by the LORD.
There should be a lot of pastors talking about this because throughout Israel's history periods of 70 years have always been milestones, benchmarks. In the 9th chapter of the book that bears his name Daniel states his understanding "by the books" of the significance of 70 years. Daniel's understanding, until the angel Gabriel came and explained these things to him in detail, was based upon what the prophet Jeremiah in chapters 25 and 29 had given as God-breathed prophesy.
This might be something a good pastor properly atuned by the Holy Spirit to in-the-process-of-fulfillment Bible prophecy might talk about in this Sunday's sermon, no? If not, then might he want to preempt his prepared sermon and reconsider due to the importance of this subject, no? Just asking, because it is a pretty important subject in these last days. If not, then a repeat of Jeremiah 25:3-4 might well be in progress and the particular pastor who misses this important event is not hearing what God has spoken by the Holy Spirit. Israel, for the most part, has a good reason at present for such Spiritual blindness or deafness (Deuteronomy 29:4 and Isaiah 29:10), but a born-again pastor of The Word? So, we make note of it here as has been the case for some years now.
May 14, 2018 marks the 10th shavuim since Israel was born in a day back in 1948 in fulfillment of Isaiah 66:8. A shavuim is the Hebrew word for a group of seven, seven of anything, but in this instance the context is that we are talking in terms of years. May 14 2018 is the 10th shavuim in the modern-day context of Israel's existence.
This 70 anniversary is an important milestone or benchmark. Just as Daniel realized he was very near the end of the 70 years prophesied by Jeremiah for the Babylonian captivity, so too we realize that the 70th year of Israel's existence points directly to an imminent start of the final 70th Week of Gabriels prophecy; it highlights that we're very near the end of that gap of time, the so-called Church Age, which began at the conclusion of the 69th of the 70 weeks of years in Gabriel's prophecy (Daniel 9:24-27).

2) it says that jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles is complete, that tells me jerusalem will not be completely under Israeli control until the second coming. So I'm wondering if something will happen between now and may 14 2018

DeleteHartdawg's question depends on one's accepted interpretation or meaning of what Jesus said, Paul reiterated in Romans 11, and the OT prophets spoke about.
DeleteIn my view the "times of the gentiles" is not directly related to the Harpazo, but is directly related to Ezekiel 39:29 which is clearly prior to the start of the 70th Week.
Jerusalem, the city, became sovereign to Israel in June 1967.
I always thought that the time of the Gentiles was related to the second coming, not the harpazo or the 70th week. And my number 2 point, was more of me wondering aloud

DeleteRead Romans 11:25 and ask yourself if that statement is a reference to Jesus second coming, or if it relates to the fullness of gentiles being grafted into the Holy family.
I thought that the fullness of the Gentiles and the times of the Gentiles were two different things. Perhaps i have been mistaken. I once heard it said that it's alot harder to unlearn than it is to learn. I hope I'm not making you mad, I'm just trying to figure alot of this out on my own rather than relying on what has been spoon fed. This whole thing I've just accepting everything I have been told is really starting to get to me.
DeleteYour so right Sean, the church is witnessing the unfolding of prophetic events. We should, like Daniel, pray. Like a bride, preparing for the big day. To the vipers of the world it is the great days of the wrath of God but to the church it is the promises of our King to take back the earth as it is written.

ReplyDeleteI deleted my previous response because there's a simpler way to address the issue.
The fulness of and the end of gentiles are two different things.
The "fulness of gentiles come in" that Paul spoke is realted to the Harpazo. After this point God turns His full attention to Israel, all Israel will be saved as represented in the 144,000 of every tribe who preach the gospel of Jesus Christ during the 70th Week.
Jesus' statement about the end of the times of the gentiles is a direct reference to Daniel 2 and his utter destruction of the fourth beast (i.e. gentile) empire at His second coming. Antichrist as leader of the beast empire will trample Jerusalem, from the murder of the Two Witnesses and the Abomination of Desolation to the end when Jesus comes down and His feet stand upon the Mount of Olives.
.....also, i made a mistake, a big one, I said in my comment how Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles until the time of the Gentiles is complete, I was wrong in that. It's the out-of-court that will be trampled down by the Gentiles. Please forgive my mistake, one may say that's a small mistake but anytime you miss quote the scripture it's a big mistake. Have i quoted it right this whole discussion could have been avoided so I'm sorry
DeleteOne more thing, I read this post several times but for some reason this morning it really hit me about the lateness of the hour, and Jerusalem being declared the capital on a 70th anniversary of being a nation. For some reason the Wonder of that just hit me whereas before I just kind of read it as another prophecy post. Aren't these amazing times that we live in? Doesn't it ever just hit you at random times?

The Second Coming of Christ (a phrase not found in the Bible) is expressed by the apostles in the following special terms:
(1) "Parousia" (parousia), a word fairly common in Greek, with the meaning "presence" (2 Corinthians 10:10; Philippians 2:12). More especially it may mean "presence after absence," "arrival" (but not "return," unless this is given by the context), as in 1 Corinthians 16:17; 2 Corinthians 7:6,7; Philippians 1:26. And still more particularly it is applied to the Coming of Christ in 1 Corinthians 15:23; 1 Thessalonians 2:19; 3:13; 4:15; 5:23; 2 Thessalonians 2:1,8; James 5:7,8; 2 Peter 1:16; 3:4,12; 1 John 2:28--in all 13 times, besides 2 Thessalonians 2:9, where it denotes the coming of Anti-christ. This word for Christ's Second Coming passed into the early Patristic literature (Diognetus, vii.6, e.g.), but its use in this sense is not invariable. For instance the word in Ignatius, Philadelphians, ix.2, means the Incarnation. Or the Incarnation is called the first Parousia, as in Justin, Trypho, xiv. 1. What purpose is served by Putin making this announcement? Is it a threat? Is it bragadoccio or a bluff?
I think this is Putin's way of extending his so-called, proclaimed, new and improved nuclear weapons umbrella over Syria and Iran.
However, Putin's rhetoric is basically designed for Russian domestic consumption and is meaningless to the US. Russia would have its backside handed to it by the US if push came to shove and the shove led to war.
The lesson of the recent battle in Sryia should have taught Putin something, but it hasn't.
So Putin, as Gog of Magog, will be killed and have his backside buried in the Valley of Hamongog, Israel in the near future.
Besides, the tests of these new weapons have been repeated epic failures.
With the greatest respect, does 70 Gregorian years qualify for prophetic significance?

ReplyDeleteAs a matter of course, it really doesn't matter if we count 70 years on the Gregorian (1948-2018) or Jewish (5708-5778) calendar because either way it's 70 literal civil years including the occasional intercalary months.
However, the Bible is very clear that the 70th Week of Gabriel's prophecy in Daniel 9 will be based upon a literal 360-day year.
