| Sooner Rather Than Later... |
UPDATED 31 October 2025: The above image illustrates the near future, envisioning the building of the Third Temple. How near is this envisioned future? Sooner than most people have yet to consider its nearness.
Certainly, it will follow the end of the ongoing war in Gaza which is currently in hiatus at the insistence of an American president. And the ongoing yet unfinished war in Lebanon versus the radical Shi'a militias and now, with a high probability, versus the army of the current government of Lebanon itself (Joshua 13:1-7). And the long unfinished war with Syria and the dissolution of that state (Isaiah 17), in addition to the fulfillment of Isaiah 11:14 which is directly connected to the Gaza war. In fact, all three of these prophetic verses are inclusive of each other because they all come from the same source, the LORD God. Tying all of these together is the prophet Ezekiel who also received the word of the LORD and spoke it in Ezekiel 28:24-26.
None of this is new to longtime reader of Eschatology Today, but as with all of Scripture is bears repeating and repeating again until the Harpazo removes us and the Restrainer from this world. We're in the midst of a flood, albeit one that that has the appearance of a trickle at times, yet we are assured the LORD keeps His Covenants and His appointments.
2 November 2025: Indications and Warnings (I&W) concerning renewed warfare on Israel's periphery, while forecast months ago on Eschatology Today (we fully understand the jihadist' objectives and battle rhythms) are now present in most media outlets.
Despite the Trump Administration's repeated denials on the application of the Judea and Samaria sovereignty initiative in the Knesset, the facts within PA-controlled areas of the same region paint an entirely different future.
The dictatorship of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is facing a near-term Arab overthrow. Polling done by a Ramallah organization reveals that 80% of Arabs in PA-controlled cities simply want Abbas gone and a type of the late-Yahya Sinwar as his replacement. In sum, the Arabs within Judea and Samaria want HAMAS rule. 77% also want HAMAS to remain in Gaza. These Arabs don't want a new intifada, they want full-scale jihad against Israel.
To the north an unambiguous warning from Israel has been delivered to President Aoun's increasingly bellicose government over its "feet dragging" to disarm Hezbollah and remove all traces of the Shi'a jihadists to northern Lebanon. Intel coming from the U.S. Ambassador (which originates from within the USIC) reveals Hezbollah's fighting forces number 40,000 and a refurbished rocket arsenal aimed at northern Israeli communities of 25,000 to 30,000. Instead of relocating Hezbollah north of the Litani River the Lebanese Army is deploying southwards to confront the IDF. The Lebanese government is preferential to conflict with Israel vice civil war with Hezbollah - a no-win scenario to be sure.
We are all well aware of the Lord's prophetic word, of its inevitability. What is quite evident now are the possible - if not probable - catalysts to literal fulfillment.

ReplyDeleteExcellent! And Psalm 60:6 as well! There are direct connections between these Psalms and the whole of Joshua 13. The Valley of Succoth is also east of the Jordan River, apportioned to the tribe of Gad. This will be because the Lord has spoken it, from David, Asaph and His other servant prophets. Same for Jordan, as we see in Ezekiel 39:11, ("there in Israel") these locations are east of the Jordan River and the Red Sea. Israel's borders are expanding to the full Covenant land promises in Genesis.
DeleteI don't know whether the temple will be rebuilt after psalm 83 or Gog/magog. I was reading Zechariah 12 to see if I could get some clues, but it seems that the chapter talks about psalm 83, then halfway through the chapter it jumps forward to the 2nd advent. I lean towards after Gog/magog because 2 thessalonians 2 and revelation 10 both call it the temple of God, but while the church is present, we're the temple of God so whenever the temple is rebuilt, the church is no longer present so I think it's rebuilt after Gog/magog. Just my thoughts. if I'm wrong, then please point out my error. Im always open to a good teaching

I've also learned things from Scripture that were not clear previously.
ReplyDeleteWhen the Third Temple is being constructed it will not be like most noisy construction sites but almost silent in comparison.
“In building the temple, only blocks dressed at the quarry were used, and no hammer, chisel or any other iron tool was heard at the temple site while it was being built.” (1 Kings 6:7)
The blocks that have been quarried for the Temple construction are being dressed with diamond cutting and smoothing tools!
Another detail is directly from Daniel 9:27.
“He will make a firm covenant with the many for one shabua [a week of seven years], but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering.” (Daniel 9:27)
What is the purpose of this covenant? It is a firm agreement 'among many' that allows Temple worship services to be commence (i.e. sacrifices, oblations, grain offerings). It is these services that will be halted after 42 months, in the middle of the shabua.
It is then that the Lord's Two Witnesses are killed and the image of the beast is stood up in the Holy Place within the Temple. This begins the Megas Thlipsis (Great Tribulation -Time of Jacob's Trouble).
None of this occurs unless the Temple is already standing!
A practice burning of a Red Heifer occurred this past July 2025. It was done as a forerunner for when a truly pure heifer is found. All five of the Red Heifers kept in secret at Shiloh were found to have more than one black hair which disqualified them. A pure heifer will come in the Lord's appointed time.

Hi jmoll; Yes, I agree, the attention to finer details is what sets this forum apart from its contemporaries. I was actually going to ask about the the heifers - now I don't need to. Also - with the stones being cut currently - and although I'm not a construction expert (!!) - it seems that the Temple could be put together with surprising speed at the appointed time - almost like a lego set. DeleteInterestingly, my study this week led me to Psalm 146 and Psalm 33… what strikes me most is that God Himself made an EVERLASTING covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Abrahamic Covenant). His plans never fail, but will be fulfilled to the letter in His timing. The plans of MAN however, well those are different… the plans of man, are not everlasting. (I have in mind the Abraham Accords here, which is far different than the Abrahamic Covenant.) These plans will cease to exist when that man perishes, even if it is repeatedly declared by that particular man that it will be an “everlasting peace”. Israel is strongly reminded multiple times not to put their trust in man, but to put all of their hope in God, as should we all.
It’s sobering to meditate on all of the implications here. I know it’s not new information, and that we are all aware of these passages in Scripture…the exhortations and the promises. It’s just interesting to me how clearly it seems to be written. It’s a travesty that it gets overlooked and ignored, and then the consequences follow.
Indeed, a state-of-the-art lego set assisted by cutting edge software and new methodologies will make actual construction very rapid.

That all takes place during the 70th Week of Years, some time after the Bride of Christ has taken up in the Harpazo. They are sealed in between the 6th and 7th Trumpet judgments so they are unharmed by the judgments or by Antichrist. They are considered "first fruits" in Israel's redeption.

Israel has been striking Hezbollah in southern Lebanon on a daily basis, someday's have multiple strikes. Israel, expecting a Hezbollah retaliation, cautions that would lead to a minimum of several days of open warfare. And as always the UNIFIL is utterly useless.

Residents (Human Shields) of four communities were warned well in advance to evacuate at least 500 meters from identified structures. The buildings struck were clear violations of the Lebanon-Israel ceasefire agreement of a year ago, an agreement the Lebanese government is either powerless or refuses to enforce.

DeleteFrom a related but slightly different angle, I can't help but suspect that the current US Admin is playing these islamists in a Machiavellian manner. With proper understanding of islamic doctrine regarding dar al-islam; dar al-harb; the true purpose of jihad and the attendant incumbency on islamists to impose sharia wroldwide via the latter; comes the unavoidable realisation that there can never be peace with these people in a Western sense (as you well know and have explained, a 'hudna' is definitely not 'peace'). What is left therefore, is the option of choosing the timing and circumstances of the inevitable conflict; ideally in a manner that makes the other side (i.e. the islamists in this case) think that they are the one's driving things.
The current Administrations actual carried out actions - both now and in the first term - have been largely and consistently supportive of Israeli security. This might be elaborate theatre. I recall for example, that they appeared to be 'bickering' in the period immediately prior to blowing Fordo to smithereens.

In 66-73 AD is was the father/son duo of Vespasian/Titus who determined (through the counseling of Flavius Josephus - Yosef ben Mattityahu) that they would self-fulfill the prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27. They then sacked Jerusalem, destroyed the Temple and executed genocide against the Jews, but knew absolutely nothing of what Jesus foretold in the Olivet Discourse.

When I think not only of those who lost their lives in foreign wars over our history, but the men and women of the Revolutionary War and the Civil War (heartrending, that one), it makes me want to weep. Most people have no idea the life we live is enjoy here is due to the service of our military.

Actually, God tells us in Revelation 11:7-10 that the whole world will rejoice and make merry with gifts like it was Christmas when Antichrist kills the LORD's Two Witnesses (Enoch, Elijah).
