Global SITREP A3-22: Is the 70th Week Upon Us?

13 January 2022: I've embedded here a Part I and Part II video series made by Stephen Dexter. I do not know Stephen, and had never heard of him before this morning when he was introduced to me by our sister Gail, with whom I have communicated on several occasions. It must be said these videos are very well made, almost cinematic in scope and without question reveal very quickly that Stephen Dexter has logged countless hours of study in their presentation, much of it paralleling my own study of the Scriptures.

So therefore, and against my own self-imposed rule against posting YouTube videos, I nevertheless am compelled that this two video series should be offered to Eschatology Today readers. The subject material within these videos are identical to a great number of posts on Eschatology Today over the past eight years. In particular the three part series titled "All These Things Be Fulfilled" as well as "Global SITREP B3-20: Psalm 90:10 Exegete" and the series of 2017 posts regarding the sign of Revelation 12:1-2. These are all Spirit-led subjects from Scripture, and in these two video's many of you will hear them echoed once again. Play them, watch in full until the end, and then pass judgment if you feel the need.

However, that all said, it must also be said that it took the entire day for the wrestling with the times and dates which are made within both videos to be overcome. We all know about "date setting" and how many in the fellowship of the bride of Christ are vehemently against the practice. So, I waited on the Lord to answer me, to guide and correct as necessary. It was then that it was realized that I had done such general date setting with the interpretation of Psalm 90:10 in concluding that we are a generation of strength; that 80 years from May 1948 would terminate our generation circa the year 2028. That has been a central theme of Eschatology Today for the majority of its existence. Also came the reminder that I felt led by the Spirit to say that it would not surprise if we were also warned 7 days ahead of time as Noah had been warned 7 days in advance. That theme was also picked up within these videos.

Is all of this perfect; is the information presented absolutely 100% correct? No, probably not because only God is absolutely perfect and 100% correct in His prophetic word. This is why I have led off notification of this post by quoting Habakkuk 2:1-3 as the last comment I make in the previous SITREP. It came to me that all of the Psalm 83 prophetic scenario, Jeremiah, Isaiah and other prophetic texts will have to literally come to fulfillment as a flood within the next few months if the dates presented are accurate. In this I've come to quickly understand that all of the anticipated prophetic fulfillments can actually occur with months or even weeks at the earliest, or actually be events of the 70th Week. This is no time to be dogmatic 

It goes without saying that everything I've noted herein as a watchman in these past 12 years stands to be corrected, simply because my 2028 and Stephen 2028/2029 date for the Second Coming of our Lord Yeshua HaMashiach are only about 6 months or so from one another. As was Habakkuk prepared to be corrected by the word of the Lord, so am I. 

As the Lord responded to Habakkuk: 

 

"Though it tarries, wait for it;

Because it will surely come,

It will not tarry."

Global SITREP D5-18: Jeremiah!

16 October 2018: I've been led to devote time to reading and studying the Book of Jeremiah, and some of the other books attributed to him. Though not yet fully completed, this study needs to be put forward, as a work in progress if you will, because the urgent truths and critical warnings found in Jeremiah are as relevant to our world today, especially to the modern State of Israel, as they were in his day. This is more proof that the Word of God is truly His living and enduring word. 

(Side bar: Eschatology Today strongly encourages all to read the Book of Jeremiah, it's like reading tomorrow's headlines in advance concerning the Middle East!)

As we all know, in those ancient times in the centuries that followed Solomon's united kingdom, Israel was divided into two polities, the kingdom of Israel in the north and the kingdom of Judah in the south. Israel failed to heed the warnings of God regarding its sins and infidelities and was overtaken by the Assyrian Empire. From an early age in his role as a reluctant prophet Jeremiah saw the warnings God was sending to Judah concerning it not following the same path that led to Israel's conquest by Assyria.

What is to be seen in Jeremiah is that the modern State of Israel has placed itself in the same situation as Jeremiah was warning Judah about in his day. Israel today to a great extent is compromising with the current world order instead of seeking what only God can provide. 

In the book of Jeremiah you will find the detailed definition of a nation's infidelity to God. Such infidelity is specifically likened to the activities of a harlot, a faithless one; indulging in various types of harlotry and wickedness. Paraphrasing Jeremiah 3, "Can a wife have two husbands? Can a man be divorced from his wife, have her lay with other men and then take her back? What pollution is this?!"  And so Jeremiah's urgent and critical call was for Judah's national repentance from this harlotry because judgment surely was coming without it. And, as we also all know, the judgment of Judah came in a similar form as it did for northern Israel. For Judah the judgment came in the form the of Babylonian conquest, the destruction of the 1st Temple and 70 years of exile.

In today's world, and the world which lies in the immediate future, there is the great harlot called Babylon. Many are those who have debated about this mystery revealed in Revelation 17, the "mother of harlots and of the abominations of the earth." This subject has been discussed here previously, so this is nothing new. The mystery Babylon are the nations of the world; all of them harlots having joined with the Antichrist during the 70th Week in a geopolitical and false religion worshiping Satan. 

Yet, one need not try to peer into the immediate future... the nations of the world are harlots today practicing infidelity towards God, giving only lip service to Him, yet allowing all forms of ungodliness, and murder of the unborn, sexual perversions of every type -- but our media and leaders across the board say its okay because these abominations are cloaked in a rainbow colored flag to make them acceptable. Nonsense! These things are complete and utter national harlotry as defined in the God-breathed Book of Jeremiah! 

And the current secular State of Israel is thoroughly involved in this global harlotry and is partaking in its sins on a daily basis; it will only get worse - until God, desiring that a remnant of all Israel be saved - will intervene directly. Make no mistake, the current secular State of Israel will agree to observe a pact with Sheol; it will accept its confirmer as messiah.

Another discernment from the Book of Jeremiah is that the ancient king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar, was a type of Antichrist. Yet in the near future of the 70th Week, during the relatively short time of the Antichrist and his false prophet, there will not be a 70-year period of judgment, but one of just 7 years, the last 42 months or 1,260 days of which will be catastrophic like nothing ever experienced by mankind on this earth previously (see here and here).

And to wrap this up, there's this final observation. Just as Jeremiah stood and spoke God-breathed prophecy in the 1st Temple on the mount prior to its destruction, so too will the Lord's Two Witnesses stand in the 3rd Temple speaking prophecy and executing judgments during the first 42 months or 1,260 days of the 70th Week. Not just one prophet prophesying, but two! 

Global SITREP C8-18: The Great Darkening - What it Really Means For This Earth! - PART II

20 August 2018: So we proceed with Part II of this subject. 

Eschatology Today believes it would be remiss to not begin with a brief side-bar regarding the brethren of Berea, Macedonia, due to the invoking that term we use today which carries the name of their city. 

How many are aware of the phrase "first to the Jew, then the Greek (Gentile)"? We all know it comes from Paul in Romans 1:16. We should also know that when the Apostles departed Israel to preach the Gospel their first stop wherever they went was to the local synagogue in the various foreign lands. The Jews were in diaspora all across the ancient world well before the Romans sack Jerusalem in 70 AD. Many Jewish communities, like the one in Berea, Macedonia had been there for as many as four centuries prior to the time of Jesus Christ on this earth. Jewish colonies existed throughout Asia Minor, Greece and ultimately Rome itself. The Book of Daniel contained the prophecy of the coming of the Greek Empire of Alexander, and its eventual division into four lesser kingdoms. Paul was himself a Hellenized Jew living is Tarsus, Seleucid Empire. 

So, it was to this Jewish diaspora that the Apostles first presented the Gospel of Jesus Christ as Messiah. The intense political upheaval within the Macedonian-Greek Empire after the death of Alexander the Great in the 2nd Century BC led to a pronounced revival of Jewish messianism. So, little wonder that Paul and Silas in presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Bereans in their synagogue received the word they preached after searching their Jewish Scriptures. See: Acts 17:10-15. "...they received the word in all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so." This is what we should do also on a day to day basis to determine if something we read online is so, Eschatology Today included. There is no better example of a Jewish or Gentile Christian than those of ancient Berea, Macedonia.

In true Bereanism, more references to the unprecedented event have been found and need to be shared. In the second chapter of the prophet Haggai's book, there are a pair of distinct references indicating that shortly after the 3rd Temple is standing in Jerusalem the events discussed in this now two-part series will take place. In Haggai 2:6  and 2:22 there are what I believe a dual-purpose prophetic passages concerning the Lord's shaking of heaven and earth and judgment upon nations while the temple stands in Jerusalem.

Also direct your attention toward Hebrews 12:26 where the prophetic promise of a greater shaking is found: "Yet once more i will shake not only the earth, but also heaven." Verse 27 amplifies this by saying: (emphasis added) "Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain."

Then we have Isaiah 24:1-6. Many commentators of years past would explain this language as simply an ancient Hebrew prophet venting, as if he were going off on some kind of ancient Jewish rant. An "it's what they do" kind of thing. To that I say nonsense. The ancient prophets ALL spoke with the authority of God by the Holy Spirit. They spoke what He wanted to be written down. None of this is to be taken as merely figurative Hebrew language. 

And then there is a reference to the great darkening and the great shaking of heaven and earth in the very distinctive past tense. The reference is by John of Patmos, and it is found in Revelation 20:11 where we read, "Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them."

Another thought to consider. The others planets in our solar system. Mercury, Venus, Mars. The so-called wandering stars. Since the Lord shakes the heavens and the earth is moved out of its place, it stands to reason the other planets would not be immune to the Lord's handiwork.

Global SITREP C6-18: The Great Darkening - What It Really Means For This Earth!

4 August 2018: Many are there who erroneously teach, or repeat as teaching because they have been so taught, that the phrase "in that day" refers specifically to the day of the Lord, also known as the "tribulation" (Greek: thlipsis) and "great tribulation" (Greek: megas thlipsis). These prophetic periods of time are known on Eschatology Today primarily as the 70th Week per the angel Gabriel in Daniel 9:24-27. I find this kind of teaching on the phrase "in that day" or "on that day" to be an considerably inaccurate interpretation of prophetic Scripture.

For example, the prophet Amos was speaking for the LORD God when he foretold 800 years in advance what would occur on the day our Lord was crucified: (emphasis mine)

“And it shall come to pass in that day,” says the Lord God,

“That I will make the sun go down at noon,

And I will darken the earth in broad daylight..."

The point, therefore, is that this phrase refers to a specific day and even to a specific time in which a specific event takes place. And with the LORD God, there have been and are yet to occur multiple appointments on specific days. 

This is exactly as Amos 8:9 foretold the events that would take place on the day of the crucifixion of our Lord. We know as fact from Matthew 26:45, Mark 15:33 and Luke 23:44-45 that the sun was darkened at the moment of our Lord's passing from this world from the 6th hour to the 9th hour. Sunrise marks the 1st hours, so the 6th hour is Noon, 12 PM, midday, and the 9th hour accordingly is 3 PM. 

This was a three-hour long eclipse of the sun by Almighty God. Did Amos spend the time to precisely calculate 800 years in advance a darkening of the sun  that would occur precisely at midday on the Jewish passover circa the year 33 AD? No, no need for that, God, as the text states told Amos directly what would take place in the future. God told Amos precisely what He would do on that day. God has appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth, Job 9:7, Job 38:33 and Jeremiah 33:19-26 prove it is so, as least until the LORD God Almighty decides otherwise.

This celestial event is exactly what Amos foretold would occur "in that day" and the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke confirm it as fact. So too did Dionysius the Areopagite (Acts 17:34) (a Greek man in Athens who became born again by the sermon of Paul at the Areopagus well after the crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ) made a record of the sun's darkening at the precise time of Jesus crucifixion. 

What we have learned in hindsight through modern technological means is that in the heavens above this event occurred at a position in the sky directly at the feet of the lamb, the constellation Aries. The sun, moon and the stars were used in what was the most important sign of all time - the redemption of all Created humankind by the Word, through whom all things were made. " All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made." John 1:3.

All of this sets up the next great darkening as foretold in in Scripture: "For the stars of heaven and their constellations Will not flash forth their light; The sun will be dark when it rises And the moon will not shed its light." Isaiah 13:10.

When does this next great sign take place? Jesus told us in the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24:29) that it will be, "Immediately after the tribulation (thlipsis) of those days..." Immediately after the first 42 months of the 70th Week in other words, at the conclusion of the thlipsis and before the start of the megas thlipsis. Mark 13:24 repeats this. Even earlier Joel 2:31 foretold this will occur BEFORE the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. In "that day" is, specifically, the megas thlipsis; the great tribulation; the final 42 months of the 70th Week. 

But wait, there's more. This day is also when Jesus opens the 6th Seal, as we read in Revelation 6:12-17. These prophetic verses inform that day includes a really great earthquake. Luke 21:25 expounds upon this, so that the entire earth quakes causing dismay among the nations of the world at the "roaring and tossing of the seas." A global quake that, in all likelihood, will be of a magnitude well beyond a 9 or 10 on the Richter scale.

So, what would cause a global quake of such an unprecedented magnitude? To learn the answer we must turn to Isaiah 13. Read this chapter carefully. Firstly, we find that Isaiah 13:6-10 provides incredible details for what is written in Luke 21:25. But then we come Isaiah 13:13 at which the LORD God provides an exquisite detail that answers the question of what would cause such a global earthquake:

"Therefore I will shake the heavens and the earth will move out of her place."

I know of no other way to interpret this other than the earth will be shaken out of its station in orbit around our sun which the LORD God has maintained since its Creation. This, in my interpretive view, is the direct result of Jesus opening the 7th Seal.  Imagine... the sun dark, blood red moon, stars not where mankind has known them to be since they were first seen and the earth moved out of her place in the order of the solar system. Yes, when the sun is dark, the stars can be seen during what would normally be daylight hours. This makes perfect sense of what Luke wrote immediately after verse 25:

"Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken." Luke 21:26

Who among you brothers and sisters does not now understand the full context of prophetic Scripture as presented here? I asked in another very recent post "Are You Ready?" To put it bluntly, anyone who is not ready to be taken in the Harpazo will have to live through the possibly fatal events described above. Why risk that when Jesus can keep you from it if you will believe on Him. It's a no-brainer.

UPDATE 15 August 2018: In line with a comment I posted to this SITREP yesterday, I believe the mystery of this unprecedented event has been revealed through Scripture! From Leviticus to the Book of Daniel to Paul's letters to the Thessalonians to The Revelation of Jesus Christ, the mystery of this is revealed in great detail. The Bible interprets the Bible, and the underlying truth of it all will probably stun you as it stunned me once it was all laid out in coherent fashion. 

As we saw in all of the above discussed prophetic Scripture God is going to move the earth out of her orbit around our sun. Put any thought to this whatsoever and what jumps out at you? The times and the seasons would have to change as a natural cause and effect. Who set the times and the seasons at Creation? The LORD God did!

When Daniel was seeking the correct interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's dream from God (Daniel 2), God immediately provided the interpretation to Daniel in a night vision. In responding to God for providing him the night vision Daniel said, "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and seasons..." Who has the power to change the times and seasons of the earth? God alone does.

How many times have you read the phrase here, "the past as/is prologue"? Bunches of times, and with this subject the phrase "past is prologue" is more relevant than ever. The 70th Week is all about Israel, the salvation of all Israel, and to a lesser extent, the innumerable multitudes of gentiles who will be saved by the preaching of the 144,000 Jewish missionaries of every tribe of Israel. And during the 70th Week what will be of tantamount importance to the Jews who will have had the Holy Spirit poured out upon them? Keeping the festivals and ordinances set by God for their worship in the coming 3rd Temple on the Mount.

Leviticus 23 lists these ordinances of God for Israel. These ordinances are the ordained holy days or festivals of Israel, they are the God-given laws of Israel! They also foretell the future sequencing of prophetic events. I am sure many of you are quite aware of this aspect, so for brevity sake I'll present them in exsum fashion. They are the four of the spring season: The Sabbath, Passover and Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits and Weeks. Jesus completed the prophetic aspect of these with His death, resurrection and the sending of the Holy Spirit in the spring of 33 AD. The next three are the fall festivals and they foretell the future: Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles. These should be studied by all in detail, but not within the context of this SITREP. Yet I believe in them we can see the sequential three major end-times events: Harpazo, Atonement of Israel and New Jerusalem.

With the earth shaken and moved out of its place how could the proper timing of the festivals be known? They are based on the lunar calendar. Sounds very problematic, but not more so than immediately after the Antichrist attempts to usurp the ordinances of God by proclaiming himself God in the Temple of God at around the mid-70th Week and in the overcoming of the Two Witnesses. Satan, in the person the Antichrist, attempts to usurp the role of God Himself. And then, after Antichrist is laid low by what I believe will be an assassination attempt, Scripture tells us (in the Gospels and in Revelation) about the Abomination of Desolation. This is where the false Prophet will cause evil men construct and stand up in the Holy Place within the 3rd Temple the image of the Antichrist. Daniel 7:25 speaks to this concerning what Antichrist will try to do, saying: (my emphasis added).

"He shall speak pompous words against the Most High,
Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,
And shall intend to change times and law.
Then the saints shall be given into his hand 
For a time and times and half a time."
 
So, by the Scripture-based events described in the original part of this SITREP, detailed expressly in Isaiah 13:13, God thwarts Satan's intended plan (Satan indwells Antichrist during the final 42 months of the Megas Thlipsis (Great Tribulation) to change the times and the laws established by God by moving the earth out of its place, thereby fulfilling Isaiah's and Daniel's prophetic words (Isaiah 13:13 and Daniel 2:21). Satan's plan to usurp the authority of God is made null and void by the very deliberate act of God in moving the earth out of its place, thereby changing completely the times and the seasons so that they can no longer be accurately measured or observed. Satans attempt to usurp the place of God and His ordinations will amount to the most epic fail of all time.

As Paul explained to the Thessalonians (1 Thess. 5), we who are watching, sober and wise, understand these things. But to those of the night and darkness (the unrepentant, sinners) these things are and will remain incomprehensible. And we have covered what Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 on a couple of occasions, yet in the context of this SITREP, verses 3 and 4 are of paramount importance. Now we all can understand why the prophecy of Isaiah 13:13 and all of those related to it will take place. Our God is in complete and total control and always will be.

Addendum: There are numerous other verses in Scripture, many of which are Jesus' own spoken discourse, that directly relate to this topic. A couple to note are Matthew 24:15-22 and 29-31, and the parallel verses of Luke 21:25-28. Study and see how many more you can find!

Does Revelation 12 Point to a Specific Day in the Near Future?

UPDATED 27 June 2017: A big hat-tip to Jeff for finding and bringing this update to our attention. The importance of this sign has been reinforced by a prophecy that Micah wrote about 150 years before the Babylonian conquest, or roughly 2,600 years ago. Micah's prophecy is a jaw dropper.

Let's get straightaway to the point. We all know by now the details of the text of Revelation 12, that this prophetic sign will occur in the heavens above us on 23 September of this year.  The prophecy of Micah 5:2-4 is our focus here, and verse 3 in particular: (bold lettering mine for emphasis)

"Therefore He shall give them up Until the time that she who is in labor has given birth; Then the remnant of His brethren Shall return to the children of Israel."

"Until the time that she who is in labor has given birth." In the Revelation 12 sign it is Virgo that is in labor, and she gives birth on 23 September 2017. The Revelation 12 sign specifically points to and specifies what we know prophetically about the sequence of events in these last days; and Micah tells us when! Micah says here point-blank that the change from the dispensation of the Age of Grace to the focus being returned to Israel per the 70th Week prophecy given by the angel Gabriel, as well as what Paul wrote in Romans 11, is about to occur!!

2 March 2017: In my last comment prior to this update, I mentioned I was focused on the specifics of this God-given prophecy; that because of the fact that it is The Apocalypse of Jesus Christ nothing can be added to or taken away from it.  That was several hours ago at this point.  I now understand the 'big picture' of what the prophecy of Revelation 12 is about. As you will see in the embedded links of this update, Eschatology Today has already touched upon most of the aspects of this 'big picture' view.

I believe the signs of Revelation 12 are literally two-fold. Notice the gap of time between verses 5 and 6 of Revelation 12 are separated by about two thousand years of literal time as we know it. So while this chapter of The Revelation of Jesus Christ is parenthetical to the book as a whole, but this chapter itself is presented in a sequential order.  

First-fold: this prophetic sign (many scholars agree) appeared on 11 September 3 BC.  It literally foretold by three or so years in advance the earthly virgin birth of our Lord. It was the sign that the Persian Magoi had been waiting on and were actively looking for according to what Daniel had taught them hundreds of years previous to that time. It was the sign they followed westwards into Roman-occupied Judea. When the Magoi saw the sign they immediately set out having the requisite amount time necessary to make that long journey from Persia, arriving in Judea in time to inadvertently alert the Roman puppet governor to the birth of the newborn 'King of the Jews,' and then to locate and arrive at the manger of our Messiah King to present their gifts. Satan was there also, as we know, because the Roman-puppet governor, being duly informed, ordered the slaying of all newly born male children in his realm. We know all of this from the Gospels.

Second-fold: The signs of Revelation 12 will appear again on 23 September 2017. It now foretells of what is to occur during the very near future of the 70th Week. It is a sign, among all of the other signs which our Lord has given us (Olivet Discourse), which alerts all watchmen to the season we are in. In this second-fold part of the prophecy, the woman is not Mary mother of Christ, but rather it is Israel, the bride of God, the remnant thereof, that God will supernaturally hide from the Beast (Antichrist, Satan-incarnate) in a location to the east of the River Jordan during the final 1,260 days (42 months) of the 70th Week. The twelve stars around her head signify the twelve tribes of remnant Israel, and which we also know will constitute the 144,000 Jewish evangelists who will preach the Gospel in saving the souls of millions of the Saints of the 70th Week. So this sign, this year, announces the fast approach of the 70th Week and the pre-70th Week Harpazo of the bride of Christ who will be found worthy to escape the horrific events of those final seven years. 

Notice that the appearance of Satan in both aspects of this prophecy are how he appears ultimately as the Beast, the Antichrist, the little horn who rises up among ten horns who are the modern-day heir of ancient Rome. Satan, who will indwell Antichrist the man, or Satan-incarnate, is pictured in this prophecy in his final Beast form of having seven heads and 10 horns. This must occur in very close proximity to the Harpazo. Virtually all expositors of prophecy that I will pay attention to agree that the bride of Christ is caught up into Heaven in the blink of an eye with Christ, as Satan and his fallen angels cast out of Heaven permanently as the war in Heaven against the Archangel Michael and his faithful angels is lost. Would our Lord remove us from this earth to take us into a Heaven that is experiencing a final war between good and evil? No, I think we arrive there as heaven is rejoicing in verse 12.

We do not know they day or hour, but we know that the coming of the Groom for His bride is close; really, really close!


25 February 2017: It has been just over three years since this item was posted here. I have brought this discussion forward from December 2013 because at this point during these last days the astronomical events described in Revelation 12:1-2 will occur in just over 6 months time. I am reminded at this time of the sermon that Peter gave to the crowd on the Day of Pentecost. Peter's sermon leaned heavily on the God-breathed words of the prophet Joel  as recorded for us in Acts 2:14-39. As commanded by our Lord, we watch therefore for all of the signs which He has foretold to us.

Revelation 12:1-2 (NKJV)

"Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth."

The video down below provides an excellent introduction to this topic.  The referenced celestial event in these two verses appears to correlate to this event coming to literal fulfillment beginning on the morning of Saturday, 23 September 2017.  That said, I must make one thing absolutely crystal clear. This has nothing whatsoever to do with "astrology." Period. This is a study of Revelation 12:1-2 and the purposes of the heavenly bodies which the Lord Himself has assigned to them, specifically per Genesis 1:14, which says:

"Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years..."

I have just begun to study all of the elements involved in this celestial occurrence, having previous looked at just portions of this subject, yet I do believe it is something that occurs at an appointed time as the text of Revelation 12:1-2 clearly tells us. That this particular celestial alignment occurs in conjunction with the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) on 21-22 September 2017 is special to say the least. 

The year 2017 has long figured prominently in my eschatological studies, it is the year that will mark the 70th anniversary of the rebirth of Israel. It is less than four years into the future from today.  It fits perfectly within the number of years discussed in Psalm 90:10, and leads me to conclude that this final generation is indeed one of "strength."  I am of the belief that this celestial event marks the start of a flood of prophetic fulfillment (2017-2020) which leads directly to the commencement of the 70th Week and not it's midpoint as discussed in the video presentation. In no manner whatsoever does this date set the Harpazo, but it does inform one and all just how truly imminent the Harpazo is.

On Saturday, 23 September 2017 the moon rises above the horizon at 9:17 AM. It will be broad daylight if it is not a cloudy day, yet to an earthbound observer the moon will appear as seen in the image above on the third day following the New Moon of 20 September. Therefore, the woman referenced in Revelation 12:1 would appear to be standing on top of the approximately 12% of the moon illuminated on that particular day, the first day of the week following the Sabbath Day. As the angel Gabriel informed Daniel, knowledge in these 'last days' has increased to the point that we can see this celestial event in advance through the technology that has been developed. .

Revelation 11:3-13 The Two Witnesses

1 August 2016: This is not an update, but a re-post of one of my favorite posts on Eschatology Today.  Nearly five years within the Eschatology Today archive realm, it's about time we looked at the prophecy of the Two Witnesses again. Thanks and a hat tip to Miriam for the reminder!

5 December 2011: I believe that most of Revelation 11 is very literal with just a few, fleeting symbolic references. With that in mind let’s look at the Two Witnesses. The Two Witnesses are God’s personal representatives on Earth who are active in Jerusalem during the first 1260 days of the 70^th Week. They are anointed by God with tremendous supernatural power for all of those 1260 days. This is the same kind of anointed power that Moses and Elijah (Eliyahu in Hebrew – my God is YHWH)) both wielded in performing the will of God in ancient times. Their attire of sackcloth is symbolically important to Israel; both Moses and Eliyahu wore sackcloth and it is the attire of Israel’s prophets.

The Two Witnesses are human beings, they are Jewish and they may well be alive right now somewhere in Israel, or at a minimum are soon to be born. If alive now they are young and most likely unaware of their future calling from God or of each other. While many speculate that the Two Witnesses will be Moses and Elijah returned to the Earth, this is not at all likely because those servants of the Lord were long ago transfigured into their eternal bodies. This is known because both were seen to be present at the transfiguration of Jesus (Matthew 17:3-4). Therefore, the Two Witnesses are quite probably going to be two of the 144,000 Jewish male evangelists who will receive an exceptionally special calling from the Lord. This calling will likely be like that which Moses and Elijah received; both were literally called and began their missions for God abruptly.

In self defense of their persons their supernatural power will consume their human enemies with fire, the kind of fire that water cannot extinguish and consumes utterly and completely. Like Elijah’s fire. Their power will cause the cessation of any precipitation for the entire 1,260 days in which they prophecy. In the arid Middle East this is bad enough, but it gets worse. They will then turn other consumable water sources into blood making them non-potable, and strike anywhere on Earth with all manner of plagues whenever they desire, like Moses did to Egypt prior to the Exodus. No wonder the whole world of deceived peoples will hate them with such a passion. The Two Witnesses’ only friends will be each other, the 143,998 Jewish evangelists and the Tribulation Saints.

And then their time is finished. At the end of the 1,260 days the demon king Abaddon/Apollyon is freed from the abyss, indwells and reanimates the Antichrist who has suffered a mortal head wound and he promptly kills the Two Witnesses to the delight of all the deceived around the world. Given the nature of their immense supernatural power manifest over the previous three and one half years the people of Jerusalem will leave their bodies lay where they will fall in the street upon death, refusing them any burial. These events will in all probability be seen live on satellite broadcast around the Earth in real-time. There will be unbridled celebration and gift-giving by the deceived, Antichrist worshipping millions around the world.

And then it happens, three and one-half days after their death these rotting street corpses will suddenly be resurrected and transfigured, confounding and terrorizing those who will see them standing alive once again. Suddenly the celebrating stops as this breaking news flashes around planet earth at the speed of light. The people will hear a voice from Heaven calling them upwards and they will witness a Harpazo ascension just like that which the disciples saw upon Jesus’ ascension. Up into Heaven on a cloud the Two Witness shall go while the world watches in thunderstruck awe. Within that same hour an earthquake strikes Jerusalem, a tenth of the city crumbles to the ground and 7,000 souls are killed. Many of those who survive will repent on the spot and give all praise and glory to the God of Heaven.

It’s going to be a non-stop breaking news cycle from Jerusalem in the middle of this 70^th Week, and the worst of it is yet to occur. The Antichrist, the False Prophet and their forces are now about to enter the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies of the Temple that John the Revelator just measured with a reed in the opening verses of Revelation 11. They are there to halt the worship services and stand up the Abomination of Desolation. The return of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God on Earth is now just 42 months away.

Global SITREP D5-14: A Critical Point in Time Has Arrived

Update 18 September 2014: Detail for the explanation of why I chose this image. In this image the Earth appears to be wearing its death mask. This image reminded me of Revelation 6:8 the first time I laid my eyes upon it.  We are living in the critical moment in time just prior to when Revelation 6:8 becomes reality, when Earth will literally become "The Late, Great Planet Earth." and there is not a sign present today which does not point direct at that future reality,

"And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."

I've spent some time studying this verse, and as with most of the words within the Bible, there's more to these words than their plain text meaning in English.  Take the word 'pale' in the above. Did you know that in the original Greek text the word is chlōros and is directly related  to the color green. This is proven by referring to Mark 6:39 for it is the exact same word as in this verse of Revelation. This word chlōros is used twice more in Revelation 8:7 and Revelation 9:4 where in both instances its meaning is without question to something which is green in color. So what color is the horse in Revelation 6:8? It is a green horse.

And the rider of this horse is a proper name because it is capitalized: Death. In the original Greek text: Thanatos, and Thanatos is synonymous with pestilence. And another proper name follows with this male rider, Hadēs which is a direct reference to a dark, infernal region; an uncomfortable and dismal place where the souls of the sinful dead go once 'Thanatos' has separated them from the body that had just been alive on the Earth. To put this in another perspective, go back to Mark 6 and read verse 11. This is the fate of those on the Earth who have refused the Word of God, the saving Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. But we're not just talking, with respect to Revelation 6:8, about a few individuals or even a couple of cities, we're talking about one-fourth of all humanity alive on the earth at this time, or in real numbers as of right now, just a shade under 2 Billion people. A critical point in time has arrived. On which side do you stand? The rest of this Eschatology Today post will now, hopefully, make more sense.

29 August 2014: Not being a huge fan of rhetorical questions, I am still feeling compelled to ask: Was there ever a time when multiple and very specific 'last days' eschatological themes were resonating simultaneously or glowing white hot as they are today? I do not recall any such time within this parameter as the present time.  

I vividly remember as a teenager the "Six Day War" of June 1967 and its effect upon the Bride of Christ in the very Christian town I grew up in. In my opinion the 'Six Day War' was a wake-up call that was the impetus for a major believing Christian revival which resulted in an extremely explosive growth in the sheer numbers of "born again" Christians in the United States. The 'Six Day War' war was the impetus for most of what occurred during the 1970s "Jesus freak" phenomenon as the psychedelic, long hair and bell-bottom pants-wearing secular world of that era referred to burgeoning mass of new believing Christians.  Most importantly, in that war Israel regained, through deliberate and focused military action, the whole of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount.  Hindsight being 20/20, the 'Six Day War' was a stepping stone to the reality that exists at this very moment, a full 47 years later. 

The same is true for the Yom Kippur War of October 1973, which at the time appeared to be developing specific circumstances which evoked the Ezekiel 38/39 prophecy with the very real prospect of a Russian military invasion and intervention in the Yom Kippur War because Israel's military was poised to over-run both Damascus, Syria and Cairo, Egypt had the order been given to do so. There was nothing other than the prospect of a military intervention by the Soviet Union, or a nuclear confrontation between the United States and Russia, which held the IDF back from taking both Damascus and Cairo and essentially brought that war to an end. Close to a multiple prophetic fulfillment reality, but no cigar, primarily because Iran (Persia) at that time was a military ally of both Israel and the United States.

So here we are in 2014, and within the passage of the preceding 47 years we have seen Israel essentially end its territorial expansion in the Holy Land through wars with the pan-Arab/Islamic enemy nations, and even begin to give significant or discuss giving significant portions of the land gained back to the existential enemy. And at this time, if one is looking critically at a plethora of Bible prophecies, one will see several that appear to be on the very precipice of present-day fulfillment. This is a very unique time in world history.

I believe this impending prophetic situation was vividly described by the angel Gabriel to the prophet Daniel (Daniel 9:26)  as a world convulsing in unprecedented military conflict as though it were the ultimate in natural or man-made disasters. According to Gabriel, there is an indisputable gap of time following the terminus of the 69th Week when Jesus Messiah and His ministry was "cut off" and the point immediately thereafter when "the people of the prince that shall come" would destroy Jerusalem and the Temple, unto the very end of the prophecy for which Gabriel most importantly and metaphorically revealed the end-game: "... and the end thereof shall be with a flood..."  The key word in this passage is the Hebrew word sheteph [pronounced: shay-tef] meaning an effusion, a torrent, a downpour, the pouring forth of overflowing waters.

I am saying point-blank to any who would listen that we are witnesses to that critical point in time where "the end thereof shall be with a flood" is staring planet earth and its billions of inhabitants squarely in the face. In the original version of Hal Lindsey's "The Late, Great Planet Earth" he forecast this 'end times' would come to pass with a fair amount of eschatological detail.  Now, I am echoing Hal and saying that time he spoke of  has arrived. The many 'last days' prophecies whose fulfillment the watchmen of the Bride of Christ have been alerting this body of believers to, especially within the past 6 or 7 years, will now suddenly come upon this earth as if they were a flood - a flood of sequential, appointed time fulfillments. To use a metaphor to describe Gabriel's metaphor, I believe there is a rather small window of time, a very few precious years, remaining between the here and now of late 2014 and the advent of the 70th Week. The flood of prophetic fulfillments I am talking about will all occur within that window!

Is the Lord Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior? Are you a 21st century version of a 1970's "Jesus freak?" If not, now is a very good time to become one because Gabriel's prophetic 70th Week lies dead ahead. A flood warning has been given.

Update 31 August 2014: In the opening of this SITREP I deferred from being redundant by citing specific examples of the many prophecies mentioned above that will constitute the sheteph of fulfillments which will reconfigure planet earth specifically for the advent of the angel Gabriel's prophetic 70th Week. They have been discussed here numerous times in the past six and three-quarter years; all are available in the Eschatology Today blog archive found in the right-hand margin of the main page.

What I am interested in now are the real-world tangibles that provide a prima facie case which underlies all of those impending fulfillments. First and foremost among them is the near total absence of presence of overwhelming American military power, or even the threat of American military power which has defined and maintained the status quo of relative global political stability since the end of World War II and the birth of the modern State of Israel.  This power still exists, albeit currently downsized, yet the residual combat military power of the U.S. and its military allies still far surpasses any combination of potential enemies.  So why is the world in such disarray and teetering on the brink of another world war? 

This is almost singularly due to the election and re-election of the current commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the United States. As we have seen amply demonstrated in recent years, this CInC has placed the overwhelming power of U.S. forces in stand-down mode. This I find to be the principle reason behind Russian military aggression against its neighbors; Red Chinese military expansionism; an Iran on the verge of an indigenous nuclear weapons capability with intercontinental delivery systems; the rise of the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, and the placing of Israel's urgent military needs on a back-burner during wartime. These are the enemies which will shortly become the greatest threats to both world peace and security and to the State of Israel. Funny how both world peace and security comes to a nexus with that of the State of Israel. But it is no surprise because Bible prophecy speaks precisely to this in no uncertain terms.

The Rubic's Cube rendition of the planet Earth above is from an essay published this past Friday by the Wall Street Journal. The title of the essay, "Henry Kissinger on the Assembly of a New World Order," just about says it all, and particularly for those with a keen interest in Bible prophecy.  In this essay Henry Kissinger explains why the established concept of "world order" has entered into unprecedented crisis. He makes clear as a bell that the concept of "world order" is unique and exclusive in its origin among Western nations. These are independent nations of the West which after two world wars determined that since they controlled most of the world's territory and its economic well-being they would endeavor to establish this order among nations. And it worked, the desired world order existed, and as stated above, it was made possible and defended primarily by U.S. military power. 

Interestingly, HenryKissinger cites the years 1948 to the present as "a brief moment in human history when one could speak of an incipient global world order composed of an amalgam of American idealism and traditional European concepts of statehood and balance of power." Kissinger also declines to identify the current U.S. administration and its lack of a foreign policy doctrine back by military muscle as the root cause for the sudden rise of these threats to the established world order. To paraphrase him, the U.S. no longer walks tall and carries a big stick, but under Obama's dictate it slouches and slumps and has all but dropped the stick. In summation, Kissinger then makes clear that a restoration of world order depends upon two themes which are the antithesis of the current Obama administration: 1) the U.S. re-instituting and sustaining the concept of American exceptionalism, and 2) along with America's European allies the adoption of a coherent and "comprehensive geopolitical strategy."

In the meantime, war wages rampant in eastern Europe and in the Middle East, the kings of the East are securing their empire while stabilizing American military power is stood down by a president who has switched sides and, according to a former-CIA clandestine operator, is actively playing for the other team. I have known these specifics and others for many months, and think the time has come that others know them as well.  Praise the Lord that He is in full control and He is calling us up hither soon!
