4 August 2018: Many are there who erroneously teach, or repeat as teaching because they have been so taught, that the phrase "in that day" refers specifically to the day of the Lord, also known as the "tribulation" (Greek: thlipsis) and "great tribulation" (Greek: megas thlipsis). These prophetic periods of time are known on Eschatology Today primarily as the 70th Week per the angel Gabriel in Daniel 9:24-27. I find this kind of teaching on the phrase "in that day" or "on that day" to be an considerably inaccurate interpretation of prophetic Scripture.
For example, the prophet Amos was speaking for the LORD God when he foretold 800 years in advance what would occur on the day our Lord was crucified: (emphasis mine)
“And it shall come to pass in that day,” says the Lord God,
“That I will make the sun go down at noon,
And I will darken the earth in broad daylight..."
The point, therefore, is that this phrase refers to a specific day and even to a specific time in which a specific event takes place. And with the LORD God, there have been and are yet to occur multiple appointments on specific days.
This is exactly as Amos 8:9 foretold the events that would take place on the day of the crucifixion of our Lord. We know as fact from Matthew 26:45, Mark 15:33 and Luke 23:44-45 that the sun was darkened at the moment of our Lord's passing from this world from the 6th hour to the 9th hour. Sunrise marks the 1st hours, so the 6th hour is Noon, 12 PM, midday, and the 9th hour accordingly is 3 PM.
This was a three-hour long eclipse of the sun by Almighty God. Did Amos spend the time to precisely calculate 800 years in advance a darkening of the sun that would occur precisely at midday on the Jewish passover circa the year 33 AD? No, no need for that, God, as the text states told Amos directly what would take place in the future. God told Amos precisely what He would do on that day. God has appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth, Job 9:7, Job 38:33 and Jeremiah 33:19-26 prove it is so, as least until the LORD God Almighty decides otherwise.
This celestial event is exactly what Amos foretold would occur "in that day" and the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke confirm it as fact. So too did Dionysius the Areopagite (Acts 17:34) (a Greek man in Athens who became born again by the sermon of Paul at the Areopagus well after the crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ) made a record of the sun's darkening at the precise time of Jesus crucifixion.
What we have learned in hindsight through modern technological means is that in the heavens above this event occurred at a position in the sky directly at the feet of the lamb, the constellation Aries. The sun, moon and the stars were used in what was the most important sign of all time - the redemption of all Created humankind by the Word, through whom all things were made. " All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made." John 1:3.
All of this sets up the next great darkening as foretold in in Scripture: "For the stars of heaven and their constellations Will not flash forth their light; The sun will be dark when it rises And the moon will not shed its light." Isaiah 13:10.
When does this next great sign take place? Jesus told us in the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24:29) that it will be, "Immediately after the tribulation (thlipsis) of those days..." Immediately after the first 42 months of the 70th Week in other words, at the conclusion of the thlipsis and before the start of the megas thlipsis. Mark 13:24 repeats this. Even earlier Joel 2:31 foretold this will occur BEFORE the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. In "that day" is, specifically, the megas thlipsis; the great tribulation; the final 42 months of the 70th Week.
But wait, there's more. This day is also when Jesus opens the 6th Seal, as we read in Revelation 6:12-17. These prophetic verses inform that day includes a really great earthquake. Luke 21:25 expounds upon this, so that the entire earth quakes causing dismay among the nations of the world at the "roaring and tossing of the seas." A global quake that, in all likelihood, will be of a magnitude well beyond a 9 or 10 on the Richter scale.
So, what would cause a global quake of such an unprecedented magnitude? To learn the answer we must turn to Isaiah 13. Read this chapter carefully. Firstly, we find that Isaiah 13:6-10 provides incredible details for what is written in Luke 21:25. But then we come Isaiah 13:13 at which the LORD God provides an exquisite detail that answers the question of what would cause such a global earthquake:
"Therefore I will shake the heavens and the earth will move out of her place."
I know of no other way to interpret this other than the earth will be shaken out of its station in orbit around our sun which the LORD God has maintained since its Creation. This, in my interpretive view, is the direct result of Jesus opening the 7th Seal. Imagine... the sun dark, blood red moon, stars not where mankind has known them to be since they were first seen and the earth moved out of her place in the order of the solar system. Yes, when the sun is dark, the stars can be seen during what would normally be daylight hours. This makes perfect sense of what Luke wrote immediately after verse 25:
"Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken." Luke 21:26
Who among you brothers and sisters does not now understand the full context of prophetic Scripture as presented here? I asked in another very recent post "Are You Ready?" To put it bluntly, anyone who is not ready to be taken in the Harpazo will have to live through the possibly fatal events described above. Why risk that when Jesus can keep you from it if you will believe on Him. It's a no-brainer.
UPDATE 15 August 2018: In line with a comment I posted to this SITREP yesterday, I believe the mystery of this unprecedented event has been revealed through Scripture! From Leviticus to the Book of Daniel to Paul's letters to the Thessalonians to The Revelation of Jesus Christ, the mystery of this is revealed in great detail. The Bible interprets the Bible, and the underlying truth of it all will probably stun you as it stunned me once it was all laid out in coherent fashion.
As we saw in all of the above discussed prophetic Scripture God is going to move the earth out of her orbit around our sun. Put any thought to this whatsoever and what jumps out at you? The times and the seasons would have to change as a natural cause and effect. Who set the times and the seasons at Creation? The LORD God did!
When Daniel was seeking the correct interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's dream from God (Daniel 2), God immediately provided the interpretation to Daniel in a night vision. In responding to God for providing him the night vision Daniel said, "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and seasons..." Who has the power to change the times and seasons of the earth? God alone does.
How many times have you read the phrase here, "the past as/is prologue"? Bunches of times, and with this subject the phrase "past is prologue" is more relevant than ever. The 70th Week is all about Israel, the salvation of all Israel, and to a lesser extent, the innumerable multitudes of gentiles who will be saved by the preaching of the 144,000 Jewish missionaries of every tribe of Israel. And during the 70th Week what will be of tantamount importance to the Jews who will have had the Holy Spirit poured out upon them? Keeping the festivals and ordinances set by God for their worship in the coming 3rd Temple on the Mount.
Leviticus 23 lists these ordinances of God for Israel. These ordinances are the ordained holy days or festivals of Israel, they are the God-given laws of Israel! They also foretell the future sequencing of prophetic events. I am sure many of you are quite aware of this aspect, so for brevity sake I'll present them in exsum fashion. They are the four of the spring season: The Sabbath, Passover and Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits and Weeks. Jesus completed the prophetic aspect of these with His death, resurrection and the sending of the Holy Spirit in the spring of 33 AD. The next three are the fall festivals and they foretell the future: Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles. These should be studied by all in detail, but not within the context of this SITREP. Yet I believe in them we can see the sequential three major end-times events: Harpazo, Atonement of Israel and New Jerusalem.
With the earth shaken and moved out of its place how could the proper timing of the festivals be known? They are based on the lunar calendar. Sounds very problematic, but not more so than immediately after the Antichrist attempts to usurp the ordinances of God by proclaiming himself God in the Temple of God at around the mid-70th Week and in the overcoming of the Two Witnesses. Satan, in the person the Antichrist, attempts to usurp the role of God Himself. And then, after Antichrist is laid low by what I believe will be an assassination attempt, Scripture tells us (in the Gospels and in Revelation) about the Abomination of Desolation. This is where the false Prophet will cause evil men construct and stand up in the Holy Place within the 3rd Temple the image of the Antichrist. Daniel 7:25 speaks to this concerning what Antichrist will try to do, saying: (my emphasis added).
"He shall speak pompous words against the Most High,
Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,
And shall intend to change times and law.
Then the saints shall be given into his hand
For a time and times and half a time."
So, by the Scripture-based events described in the original part of this SITREP, detailed expressly in Isaiah 13:13, God thwarts Satan's intended plan (Satan indwells Antichrist during the final 42 months of the Megas Thlipsis (Great Tribulation) to change the times and the laws established by God by moving the earth out of its place, thereby fulfilling Isaiah's and Daniel's prophetic words (Isaiah 13:13 and Daniel 2:21). Satan's plan to usurp the authority of God is made null and void by the very deliberate act of God in moving the earth out of its place, thereby changing completely the times and the seasons so that they can no longer be accurately measured or observed. Satans attempt to usurp the place of God and His ordinations will amount to the most epic fail of all time.
As Paul explained to the Thessalonians (1 Thess. 5), we who are watching, sober and wise, understand these things. But to those of the night and darkness (the unrepentant, sinners) these things are and will remain incomprehensible. And we have covered what Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 on a couple of occasions, yet in the context of this SITREP, verses 3 and 4 are of paramount importance. Now we all can understand why the prophecy of Isaiah 13:13 and all of those related to it will take place. Our God is in complete and total control and always will be.
Addendum: There are numerous other verses in Scripture, many of which are Jesus' own spoken discourse, that directly relate to this topic. A couple to note are Matthew 24:15-22 and 29-31, and the parallel verses of Luke 21:25-28. Study and see how many more you can find!

All of this sounds like a repeat of the days of Noah. Catastophic events. Mountains and islands moving out of their places. I wonder if this will change our year back to 360 days. So much for underground bunkers.

In all honesty and candor, in all of my eschatological studies... the absolute bombshell that is within Isaiah 13:13 was completely transparent.

I will say this also... since this occurs smack dab between the two halves of the 70th Week it's a good thing only 42 months will remain otherwise the Lord's statement that those days will be cut short to prevent the extinction of all life.

I had a chance to talk to Dr. Walt Brown after I read his book, In the beginning, he wrote back in the 50's, many of his finding have been proven true of the oceans of the deep opening up during Noah's flood.
Now we have the shaking of the heavens also.
I would say most of us can now understand how Noah felt being a preacher of righteousness and his voice falling on deaf ears.
How many unbelievers today would take to heart what has been put forth here today?
Sean, this was mentioned in other comments on this very post about how bad it's going to be. This may be an obvious statement but It cannot be over emphasized. I remember watching the thief in the night movies back in the eighties and then reading the Left Behind novels in on my way home from church back in the eighties I remember my mom and dad saying something to the effect of " These movies may have scared you but it is gonna be far far worse than these movies could ever portray". Although some of these books maybe theologically accurate, I do not think that they even scratched the surface as to the magnitude of disasters during that time.

Sometimes I just look around wherever I might be and I just feel sadness thinking about how horrible it’s going to be like and how many will perish because of foolishness. I want to just scream wake up!!
ReplyDeleteBack in the early 60's I was half scared out of my wits when I had a horrible nightmare about a major assassination the would actually become true on Nov. 22, 1963 and that was the beginning of my Long search in God's word for HIS realness and meaning that lead to my salvation! So yes, God can reveal to anyone the very truth of what is already beginning to take place now but much worse later on!

ReplyDeleteThe LORD God, while the Creator was on the Cross sacrificing His life to provide all humanity redemption from sin, performed a miracle by darkening the sun for 3 hours, from Noon to 3 PM.
In the middle of the 70th Week, at the point where Revelation 6:12 begins its narrarive of Christ's opening of the 6th Seal, there will again be a great earthquake, the sun will turn black as animal hair sackcloth (see the image at top of the SITREP for an approximation), and the moon blood red; the stars will fall out of their places, the sky will receed as a scroll being rolled up and every mountain and isle will be moved out oftheir places, and the cause of all this cosmic disturbance will be due to something the LORD God will do, as Isaiah wrote:
"I will shake the heavens - and the earth will move out of her place."

Anyone who paid attention in science class knows the earth, tilted on its axis at 23.5 degrees, has an eliptical orbit around our sun. It makes life on this rock since the fall of mankind into sin possible.
The eccentricity (+/- 3%) of these fairly specific orbital parameters has been quite stable over the past 2000 years and more. At mid-week ofthe 70th Week it will all swiftly change
Then comes Jesus' opening of the 7th Seal and a brief silence in heaven. This is followed by the first four of the seven trumpet judgments. These appear to be logical follow-ons to the earth being moved out of its place in orbit. The 5th and 6th Trumpets are utterly supernatural.
Finally, the 7th trumpet proclaims the end of the kingdoms of men and the arrival of the Kingdom of Christ.

What is the opening title of this SITREP? It is "The Great Darkening."

And then, BEFORE you post a comment, read the rules of commenting, and then, before you comment, read the comments section fully to see other posts that appear at a time before your post will appear -- you might just learn a few new things that make the point of focus of your comment moot. Moot point posts get deleted during active moderation of their content.
Secondly, there is NOTHING in Scripture which is theory. Zero, zip, nada. Nothing that appears on Eschatology Today is theory. Zero, zip, nada.
For the most part this blog deals with exegesis of prophetic Scripture - and - real wourld events which have a direct bearing on prophetic Scripture in an active process of fulfillment.
That all said, let me put it a third way so a few may yet comprehend the initial and secondary point of this SITREP.
1.) THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY ECLIPSED THE SUN FOR A FULL THREE HOURS BETWEEN MIDDAY AND THREE IN THE AFTERNOON WHEN JESUS WAS ON THE CROSS.
I don't care one iota how God did it, just that He did it.
And that He did it is confirmed by Scripture wherein are the accounts of the eyewitnesses.
2.) THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY WILL ECLIPSE THE SUN AGAIN IN THE NEAR FUTURE. HE WILL COLOR THE MOON BLOOD RED, HE WILL CAUSE THE EARTH TO QUAKE, HE WILL CAUSE THE STARS TO MOVE OUT OF THEIR PLACES - AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - HE WILL MOVE THE EARTH OUT OF ITS CURRENT POSITION IN ORBIT AROUND OUR SUN.
In other words, the LORD God will perform great miracles on that day; He will out-do what He did on the day of Jesus' crucifixion.
That will be a very important day no doubt.

ReplyDeleteTo think on how God is going to test those who have not come to faith in His Son, Jesus, makes me tremble. Not for my self, but for all those who missed the opertunity, friends and family perhaps. His word describes the times we’re living in today. I would not want to be here when the indwelling Spirit is removed from this earth. It’s already apparent who will be nashing and grinding their teeth. No sir, I want no part of it.

ReplyDeleteI am 43 and I can say in my life there has been a sad but dramatic way the christian population views God's word. We used to accept miracles as just that, but now people are continually trying to find a "logical" solution. To me this is a mistrust of God Himself, perhaps a lack of fear of God? Maybe this is part of the spirit of Laodicea?
Earth created in 6 days? Sounds impossible! Science says "no way!"
Total flood of the earth? Sounds impossible! Science says "no way!"
Splitting the Red Sea in two? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! Science says "no way!"
Turning water to wine? Maybe it was white wine and Jesus just put some food coloring in it. Science says "no way!"
A man lies dead for 3 days and rises from the dead. Come on! Science says between 24-72 hours the internal organs decompose! And that is provable/repeatable science!
So the account in the Bible tells us that the sun was blackened for 3 hours and people go to a NASA solar computer program to see if there was an eclipse around the same time we think our Messiah was actually crucified. My first thought here is I have lived through a couple solar eclipses, they only last a few minutes, that should be the end of that...
Google says "During the brief period of totality, when the sun is completely covered, the beautiful corona — the tenuous outer atmosphere of the sun — is revealed. Totality may last as long as 7 minutes 31 seconds, though most total eclipses are usually much shorter."
So we are at a point when people pretend they are using "logic" to solve the miracles in the Bible but they aren't even using logic to logically figure out something that they will not be able to figure out...
It's a miracle. Did you forget a dead man arose from His grave and appeared to a thousand people?

DeleteI've followed this further because of a question that suddenly popped up in my head from nowhere.
ReplyDeleteWhen the LORD shakes the heavens and the earth is "moved out of her place," does our moon move along with us, that is stay in its orbit?
The moon is incredibly important to the earth; its effect on gravitational forces, global tides and moon-based calendars is indispensible.
And in Revelation 6:14 the sky splits apart like a scroll being rolled up.
This is where the 7 Trumpets start to be sounded by 7 angels -- vegetation is burnt up, the sea is struck, the Wormwood star falls to earth and fresh water becomes deadly to drink, and at the 4th Trumpet the sun, moon and stars are darkened by a third during day and night.
So the earth is still rotating with the moon nearby, but its much darker than before... and the 7 Bowl judgments are still to come! Yet this is the final point in the Bible in which there is any mention of the moon. It's as if from here forward the moon becomes irrelevant; purposeless.
As you will see in the coming update later today... this is about the changing of "the times and the seasons." It is about the LORD God asserting His sovereign and supreme authority over all Creation and His thwarting of Satan's attempt to usurp it during the 70th Week.

Sean, I just read your update for today and I felt like a ran a marathon. My heart is still racing at the in depth plans God has for this world. It makes the end time novels of today seem like children stories. I'm gonna go back and read it a little more slowly.

DeleteThe first light I see shining is these are God events not natural or human/nation causing events. The day of God's wrath has come and He will now put to silence the mouths of those who have not taken for themselves the pardon for their sins he has offered these past two thousand years.
Though satan would desire for the world to follow him he is thwarted by God's intervention, a multitude will make the choice to believe through the events described above and will enter heaven having given up their lives believing in Jesus.
God is the orchastrater of these events to redeem Israel and all others who repent.
No one will have any excuse, they will know it is God.
Our departure is the God ordained event which removes His own before that day.
A day of signs, fear, wrath, judgement.
I say, Flee from the wrath to come, believe on the Lord Jesus NOW while there is still time.
No wonder the LORD GOD will remove the Body of Christ Jesus before that terrible day happens. All of this also begs the answer to Sean's question regarding "will the moon also be removed out of her place?" All of the fall festivals are announced by the appearance of a certain phase of the moon. So if she is removed how will the Jews know when the festivals are to happen? Then too, the spring season? Will there be seasons due to the fact that the earth will be removed from her position with the solar system? Well, now you know you have caused all of the little gray cells to start clicking again and truthfully, I have never considered any of those events because I truly planned on being gone from this earthly habitation way before that.
ReplyDeleteI think I am over staying my time limit already but I cannot get my mind wrapped around seeing the sky roll up like a scroll or even the thought of total darkness covering the whole face of the earth, - 'EVERYWHERE AT THE SAME TIME". Would that be a misunderstanding on my part about the whole passage? And another question in regard to the situations that are in existence right now: is there any real Scriptures that tell of a Holy Spirit drawing of the unsaved to redemption before that total darkness happens? I can't find any but there are people that tell me there is.

Just imagine all the amateur and professional astronomers, NASA-types, ESA-types, etc, radio telescope and visual, IR, COBE, you name it, on the day when there is cosmic upheaval followed by dead silence in the heavens. Nothing is where it's supposed to be. Scientists falling over dead from coronary attacks.

The reason I ask and its kind of out there but I noticed there are 7 days between the American Labor Day holiday (Sept. 3rd) and the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah (Sept. 10th)? I know the name of our holiday doesn't have anything to do with giving birth but we all know God has a sense of humor and nothing is by chance. Just wondering what you all thought of that. Oh, and anything interesting thing is that the next day after Rosh Hashanah is Sept. 11 when we had sudden destruction in 2001??? All of this after Israel turns 70 years old, again.

ReplyDeleteHow about Matthew 24:29-31 (Jesus' Olivet Discourse) being the advance notice? (Emphasis added). Verse 29 is precisely what this SITREP is about and is a sign for what follows. Verse 30 is the pre-Harpazo sign. Verse 31 is the Harpazo. What are we to do with these three verses?!
“29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
The above Matthew 24 verses concerning Jesus' Olivet Discourse were also included in the four verses of Mark 13:24-27. (Same emphasis added)
"24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; 25 the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven."
And for a third time, Luke 21:25-28 repeats Jesus' own words of His Olivet Discourse:
“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
Again, I ask, what are we to do with these three accounts of Jesus' words regarding the great darkening and shaking of the heavens which include the Harpazo gathering of His elect from the earth?
Take careful note... all three accounts are about the exact same events which take place immediately prior to the Megas Thlipsis (Great tribulation), or the "wrath of God" or the "Day of the Lord" as they are also referred to in Scriptures such as Joel 2:30-31, or Isaiah 13:9-13 and The Revelation of Jesus Christ 6:12-14.
This is also spoken of in Revelation 1:7
"Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, every one who pierced him; and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him."
If I am being asked about it, this is no "secret Harpazo" because everyone on a darkened earth suddenly sees Jesus Christ in the clouds in great power and great glory. What a spectacular Revelation of Jesus Christ this is!
OR, are there to be two Harpazo's ... the first for the bride of Christ priorto the 70th Week and the second for the Jewish elect immediately prior to the Megas Thlipsis (Great tribulation? There is no doubt that the darkening great shaking occurs between the Thlipsis and Great Thlipsis, concurrent with the Abomination of Desolation (AoD).
Remember also, the AoD is when when Jesus' has instructed the Jews in Judea to drop everything and flee to the mountains of Israel. Why would they be told to run and flee if they are also the Jewish elect to be Harpazo'd prior to the Megas Thlipsis/Great Tribulation?
I know by the conviction of the Holy Spirit what I believe all these verses are about. Everybody else has to determine what they are about for themselves.

Do we fully understand the meaning of the word thlipsis (tribulation)?
The meaning of this word is directly related to the application of pressure.
The kind of pressure directly associated with false messiahs, wars, rumors of wars, famines, pestilences and earthquakes.
These things are thlipsis. Not megas thlipsis, just thlipsis, and we endure them have been in ever increasing fashion for about two millennia thus far.
So, when Jesus says "Immediately after the thlipsis of those days..." what do you think He was referring to?
The Harpazo remains imminent.
For me, it has been a process of realization (you might say revelation : ) throughout the last few years. I think there is an assumption that our eschatology will play out on a neat & tidy human timeline AND on the physical Earth.
ReplyDeleteEx. Church leaves Earth, terrible things happen on Earth, the devil comes to Earth, it gets worse on the Earth, Jesus comes to Earth....etc. All clean and tidy (except for the destruction & death of course)
What I started realizing (while looking FORWARD to the great sign) is that we are in a multi-dimensional reality. Eph 6-12 warns us of as much. I know we have always had Heaven and Earth, but the reality is something uncomprehensible....if we could see into these other realms, I’m not sure we could handle or process things. The thlipsis is akin to the movie trailers before the main event...on a much smaller scale. Like a movie trailer, it presents a slice of the bigger event (meant to entice you view or “join” that particular movie), but that is where the comparison stops. The thlipsis is worldly pressure exerted by Eph 6-12 forces to deceive, coerce or kill as many people as possible.....just so long as you miss Jesus, that’s all these forces care about. Once the Megas Thlipsis begins, God grabs the reigns back (He’s always had them, but He again starts to use them). At that point, reality as we know it now is over. The Earth WILL be shifted, the sky WILL recede, the moon WILL cease to give its light (meaning the sun has gone dark, the moon has been destroyed, both celestial bodies have been separated from each other, or something we can’t even comprehend..happens). Whatever, however....God does it & God takes over during this time. As for timing of everything, I’m beginning to think that time as we know it won’t even be a factor. Things could happen simultaneously, but be perceived by us as being separate events. I just now know that we have no comprehension of “Heavenly” things. We can read about what’s going to happen, but I’m of the belief that our minds can’t comprehend the scale of what’s about to occur.
The great sign is coming up on being one year behind us. Time (whatever that is) is short I think. This is a great topic & thread...love it!

What this is also about is the ongoing unsealing of what the prophets (like Daniel, etc) wrote about circa 2,500 years ago and which were Spirutually sealed until this "day."
Now it's all beginning to make really tremendous eye-popping sense, yet there's much more ore to come. This is one of the primary reasons this topic will remain at or near the top of Eschatology Today blog going forward, or until a Part II is posted under its own SITREP number.

ReplyDeleteI believe it goes beyond just the times and the seasons when Is. 13:13 happens. There will be cataclysmic disruptions of a force so great that nothing on earth has ever happened before to mankind's existence. Realizing that all of those verses are testimony to the total answer to God Almighty in HIS total disgust with all of humankind that refuse to open their eyes to the MIGHTY TRUTH of I AM! By the time the Body of Christ has been "Called UP here" God already knows long, long before who is the ones that will rush to the 144,000 Jewish Holy Spirit breathed, fire baptized evangelist will and BELIEVE That Jesus Christ is their Messiah of long ago.
I have to stop and pray for the Holy Spirit to guide my response.
How many of us have ever taken notice of what Sean has shared here for the whole world to see? How many of us have read right on past all of this when it came to stirring our inner most beings? How many of us know are beginning to get into the drama that is trying to be revealed and yet we turn away from it because it is upsetting to our 'peace and quiet'? Have we all been too busy with flesh instead of finding our foundations in God's POWERFUL HOLY WRITS?
Sean asked where are Bereans in all of this revealing discussion? Maybe all of the Bereans are waiting for the students who have not matured on their pathway of being Holy Spirit filled students and maturing Christians who are searching our Precious Scriptures to learn on a first hand basis with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We don't learn the deep things of HIS Word by jumping from one blog to another to find out what they think. We dig into the real research and study our bibles, dictionaries, Strongs Concordance and all of the AUTHENTIC published materials and stay away from the commercial sellers of fake anointing oil - (SNAKE OIL salesmen)! Dig in the Jewish scriptures for the wisdom of the ages. Most of this material is available on the Internet but use great discernment when you do so.

ReplyDeleteI came here this evening to apologize for my harsh words because I really did believe I went too far in scolding and I am sorry if it came across that way! I just KNOW that the hours are dwindling very quickly and we don't have time to waste on childish Ness any longer!
I don't mean to be harsh in any way, that was the old Grand but I have spent the day studying and following all of the passages that you referenced for all and I can never just stop at a few verses. So I took off and studied all of Zechariah and most of of the first 7 chapters after of Isaiah 13. I have notebooks laying all over the place and they are all chuck full of notes related to what we are talking about today! Now tomorrow, I hope I will be able to make sense of those notes and keep them all available for the duration of my life!

Re: your addendum about finding this in other places in Scripture - I was reading Psalm 18 yesterday and the first part of it, esp. from v.7, seems to be talking of a catastrophic, global earthquake (that includes darkness, hailstones and fire). Then I got to v.16 and it jumped out at me that this might be referring to the Rapture and to the time you have written about in this blog post.
Just my two cents' worth.

ReplyDeleteI believe you're right! Psalm 18:1-29 most certainly reads like a prophetic song. It is praise to God from King David for Asaph to put to music.
It is prophecy, last days prophecy of Jewish perspective, because in it David references a temple. There was no temple in ancient Israel until Solomon became king, so it's about latter days events and a latter days (3rd) temple.

There is no Jewish gematria to be applied to the plain text of the Word of God in this subject. The numbering of the verses is not related to the text they contain. The original Hebrew or Greek text contained no numbered verses. All the information the Lord wants us to know is right there in the plain text. All we have to do is be Bereans, search our Bibles and find even more richness in the direct references to the prophetic texts.
For example, and as pointed out previously, "Joel 2:31, Acts 2:20 and Revelation 6:12 (among other passages discussed in this SITREP) and what Jesus' said in the midst of His own Mount of Olivesend-of-days prophecy are all part of the exact same prophecy.
SITREP A2-16: The Groom is Coming For His Bride is also directly related to the subject of this SITREP, and could also serve as a refresher to the entire subject we're discussing at present. The comments section of that SITREP pretty much parallel the comments here, except in this SITREP the bombshell verse of Isaiah 13:13 is new knowledge.
Psalm 46 is a parallel passage for Isaiah 13.

You have the heathen raging, God utters His voice and the earth melts,
And in the end, God is exalted among the heathen and in the earth.
So, no matter who you are or what you've done good or bad, God is calling you now, to be forgiven of your sins and be saved from judgement and wrath.
It is far better IMHO to freely bow your knee now and call on Jesus to be saved and be washed and made a child of God than to be judged by God on the earth and then be made to bow your knee and confess Jesus is Lord and separated from Him for eternity with weeping and gnashing of teeth in the eternal fire.

ReplyDeleteWhat I have noticed is that the "Ring of Fire" is extremely active on both sides of the Pacific Ocean - but with one glaring exception. The west coast of North America, from Katmai volcano (Alaska) in the north to Colima volcano (Mexico) in the south is eerily quiet. Too quiet in fact.
My thoughts exactly Sean (as I sit here in LA for a company meeting). Friday can’t come quickly enough for me....it’s on a matter of time for this coast.

This is about the context within the Scripture account of Jesus' Olivet prophecy. Matthew 24:15 starts the context with a specific point of reference.
Matthew 24:22 declares: "And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened."
This is without any doubt occurring during the megas thlipsis, the Harpazo of the bride occurs quite some time in the past, three and 1/2 years at a minimum.
In Matthew 24:29-31 does the text say what happens to the elect which have been gathered from all over the earth by angels" Verse 29 is the great darkening which takes place. Verse 30 occurs subsequent to that, which is indicated by the word "Then... followed by His sign in Heaven and He is seen coming on the clouds with great power and glory - this is THE second coming. Verse 31 is the gathering of the elect from all over.
There is only an assumption that these elect are gathered to be in the Lord's presence. Key point here is that Jesus Christ has returned is now on the Earth, not in Heaven.

ReplyDeleteI see that now, and you're absolutely right, the Two Witnesses (The 2nd Woe) do get Harpazo'd into Heaven, and theirs is a mid-70th Week Harpazo at that - at the end of the first 1,260 days, the duration of their ministry of prophesy and miracles.
But they are only 2 very key individuals from OT times who never died a physical death before (Enoch and Elijah, I think). They've been in Heaven in human form (as the 2 olive trees and 2 lampstands) all this time. They will come back down to earth to fulfill Revelation 11.
The Matthew 24:31 passage is a gathering of many elect from all over.
