UPDATE 9 March 2015: Today's update to this SITREP is purely to refute a recent article authored by Leo Hohmann that was published by WorldNetDaily (WND). Hohmann's article claims early on that "WND contacted several prophecy experts and Bible teachers to get their take on this phenomenon." I will now execute this refutation without the obligatory, in-your-face merchandising of agenda-driven, dubitable quality WND literary and DVD productions.
The first refutable point to be made is that Leo Hohmann's article, "Has antichrist ascended to world stage?," is condescending right from the get-go as he characterizes a great many dedicated Christian students, researchers and teachers of Bible prophecy in a most disreputable and diminishing manner. According to Mr. Hohmann these many Spirit-filled and distinctly learned personages of the Bride of Christ are merely "speculating" "prophecy buffs." This characterization evokes the notion that their important work in the Word of God is nothing more than an inconsequential abstract hobby.
The second refutable point is that it has not yet dawned on Mr. Hohmann that none of the prophecy students writing about the sudden ascendancy of the new Greek Prime Minister have said anything of the sort that he is the antichrist, or that he will become the antichrist. What they have said is analogous to, "this is what the Bible says, and this is what I see, so let's keep an eye on this guy to see what happens from this point forward." This is what good watchmen do regarding the prophetic Word of God.
Thirdly, and to the contrary of Mr. Hohmann's non sequitur, none of his inferred "prophecy experts" actually are "prophecy experts." This is primarily due to the simple fact that no such thing exists as a human being "prophecy expert." There are men and women who can quote Biblical chapter and verse, but none of that guarantees a perfection of understanding and application of the proper hermeneutic exegesis. The Holy Spirit is the purveyor of such expertise and none of the "experts cited in Mr Hohmann's article have cornered the Bible prophecy market in this regard.
Fourthly, a brief look at Hohmann's three cited sources. First up is the WND headliner, the ubiquitous "Joel Richardson," a prolific ghost writer of prophetic eisegesis, and whose primary claim to Bible prophecy expertdom is a half-dozen or so unbiblical books, mostly published by WorldNetDaily, with each uniformly declaring contrary to the express Word of God about Greece (Daniel 8:8-9), yet with unequivocal certainty, that the coming Antichrist will be an adherent of Islam from Turkey. How's that for unbiased substance, eh?
The next cited "prophecy expert" is Pastor Carl Gallups. At first glance Carl Gallups is one whom I did not expect to see referenced in this article. At second glance, I see why he follows "Joel Richardson." His interpretation of Bible prophecy, which is available in another brand spanking new WND Superstore book, is especially egregious. This is especially true regarding his interpretation of The Revelation of Jesus Christ. (he says the Chernobyl disaster of 1986 was the Third Trumpet, meaning we all missed the Harpazo and we're now deep into the 70th Week!) Simply put, it is just trumpeting preposterous. It pains me to write that Carl Gallups is candidate numero uno to have to write a hundred times on the prophecy interpretation classroom chalkboard the text of Revelation 22:18-19. Make that two-hundred times.
Finally, we have the third WorldNetDaily Superstore Bible "prophecy expert" Mark Blitz. Mark, according to Hohmann's article, states flat out that the new Greek PM is not the antichrist. Of course, Mark is correct, Alexis Tsipras is not the antichrist. Not yet anyway; we'll have to see how things unfold. However, I do disagree with Mark Blitz that being a 'watchman on the wall' is anything but a speculative waste of time, and I did not have to stay in a Holiday Inn last night to come up with that. Nor did I write a book about the prophetic significance of a sequence of blood moons interspersed with a solar eclipse when all the Spirit-inspired Word of God really says three times is, respectively:
Most "prophecy buffs" interpret these verses to state that the Lord will break open the Sixth Seal during Gabriel's prophetic 70th Week (Daniel 9:24-27) and on one occasion, and one occasion only, the sun will become black and the moon will turn red. One time, not four times with a bisecting dark sun prior to the 70th Week.
Prophecy experts? Negative, folks. These gentlemen do not even attain complete agreement with each other much less the majority of the rest of the Bride of Christ.

However, and the point of all this is that now I get it, I really, really do get it. I interpret this self-aggrandizing article is nothing more or less than an in-your-face commercial advertizement for WND book and DVD sales. This is hardly prophetic when it comes to WND, it's rather a very consistent matter of practice: they want your dollars for their commercial interests.
15 February 2015: This Global SITREP leads off with the current Mid East Prophecy Update video from Pastor JD Farag. The lead-off topic in Pastor JD's video sermon presentation is the current update topic subject in the Eschatology Today 'The Origin of the Antichrist' blog post - the new PM of Greece...
In the above video Pastor JD freely admits that he was at first dismissive of the political developments in Greece, but with sound counsel in the form of Emails and web postings coming from the Mainland (Pastor JD is in Hawaii) he became intrigued. As you watch this MUST SEE video (captioning included) you will learn why Pastor JDs intrigue was transformed to become the impetus for this video and why this SITREP is titled as it is.
Also, Pastor JD references the NTEB website article (from whence the above image of Tsipras was borrowed) and information posted there directly linking the new Greek PM with the Pope and Vatican. I've already referenced my own discussion on this with Terry James at Rapture Ready. Here's a link to Terry's 2 February "Nearing Midnight" commentary "Antichrist Archetype Emerges."
So let's consider, within the context of the Psalm 90:10 defined 70-year generation plus an additional 10 years defining a generation of strength, what is currently happening:
1) Just prior to Israel's 70th year as a reborn nation in fulfillment of Isaiah 66:8 we have standing on the various world stages:
2) A strong candidate for Ezekiel 38/39 'Gog of Magog' leading a militarily resurgent and adventurous Russia;
3) A charismatic leader suddenly assuming power in the prophetic nation of Greece and executing actions in his own name;
4) This same newly emergent leader, acting as a candidate for the EU Presidency just a few short months ago, meeting with the Roman Pope to discuss a peace treaty for the Middle East.
5) The very real possibility in the near term of simultaneous multi-front war erupting on Israel's northern, central and southern frontiers as foretold in Psalm 83, Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 11.
Is there any question about the season we are living in? Is Jesus your Savior; your family's Savior?

Early this morning I first read your latest update to the 'Origin of the Antichrist' article and then watched pastor JD's video.
ReplyDeleteI was amazed that he too was talking about this new Greek leader.
I found interesting, checking Wikipedia entry (in French language) related to this Alexis Tsipras, that he only appointed the unusually small small number of 12 ministers (cabinet level), all men.
It is interesting that he didn't appoint any woman which is a bit odd considering the guy is supposed to be a radical leftist (leftists in Europe believe there should be equal number of male and female cabinet members).
Another interesting thing is that his party failed to secure absolute majority in the parliament (they got 149 seats out of 300 in the assembly) and they add to form a strange coalition with a small right-wing isolationist party that got a few seats to be able to secure majority.
Popularity enjoyed by this communist leader within right wing circles (notably in France) is something that really struck me).
No question about the season we are in.
ReplyDeleteLuke 21:36
Watch therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
appropriate verse for the times.
NG,
ReplyDeleteThe points you make will show us exactly how much and what kind of supernatural charisma this man is possessed of.
I have found nothing in the narrative of Gabriel (to Daniel) that would disqualify this man from becoming the man spoken of following the key antichrist archetype of Antiochus IV Epiphanes in Daniel 11:36 and forward.
A big AMEN to that Kenny!
ReplyDeleteI am somewhat taken aback that there are very well known Bible prophecy teachers who do not understand the role that Greece plays in Last days prophecy.
ReplyDeleteIt's as if they've never read or do not yet understand the Book of Daniel where the angel Gabriel provides an extensive and detailed narrative on this very subject.
More work to do!
I agree with you Sean, this new Greek prime minister might really be the Antichrist. The new Alexander the Great.
ReplyDeleteThis would mean the three of the end-time evil figures are now on stage: Putin/Gog, Pope Francis/The False Prophet and Tsirpas/Antichrist.
Are we missing any significant character (I mean on the evil side)?
If not then the stage is set. We can definitely lift up our heads because our redemption is drawing very, very near!
Maranatha!!!
One prophetic archetype is an interesting curiosity.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the presence at this specific time of the three primary archetypes is far beyond being a curiosity... it is a sign in and of itself.
Wow! Extraordinary developments on all 3 evil partners. Like a flood, these events will come - this year even! I read The Guardian's article on Tsipras- he is "full of confidence" and "Greece will be a totally different country in 6 months". Zero cannot be - he is convincing the dumbed downed segment...but can't hold a candle to Tsipras in brilliance. (I've heard some ask-Is Zero the AC? NO! But an AC agent I suppose)
ReplyDeleteAnd George Soros (the Hungarian-born non-observant Jew born Schwartz György) has been the financial bedrock from which both Obama and Tsipras were launched upon a deluded world.
ReplyDeleteSean,
ReplyDeleteThanks for this update. I was also thinking the ungodly attitudes and actions of so many nations and peoples today truly make it out to be very perilous. Plus the turning away of many from what the Bible teaches.
Looking up!
2Ti 3:1
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
Sean,
ReplyDeleteAs I was reading all of the comments, Isaiah 59 came to mind and it is a great Word for the very time as this:
Isaiah 59:19
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
I wonder why the news media and most other venues of communication are so quiet about George Soros. Even heard Marco Rubio is a product of Geo. Soros or I believe the statement was that Marco had worked for the Soros organization prior to his election of recent years.
I do believe that the wheels are already turning very swiftly towards a world wide showdown between Good and Evil and our focus has to be straight on and firm from this day on.
We dare not put our trust in politics or other nations. Every day we see the deception and blindness of our elected officials and it sometimes feels like a weird nightmare. We keep yelling and trying to break through the cloud of darkness surrounding them and it is all in slow motion and they cannot hear us.
To involved in the current distraction that is man made and for that, mankind will pay a very dear price.
GG5/Shalom
Hey NG, if I may make one comment to you, pope Frances better fits the description of the harlot riding the beast in revelation 17 more than the false prophet. The false prophet comes in during the middle of the time of Jacob's trouble.....that's what I'm thinking anyway
ReplyDeleteHi Sean,
ReplyDeleteJ.D. Farag's update was especially awesome this week and I'm so happy you featured it here on your blog site. It seems you were right all along, everyone will really be watching this new PM of Greece. What I wanted to share with everyone is this is a good time to read aloud the Psalms, they are so comforting in these times and a reminder that God is our refuge and our fortress. Psalm 91 is especially wonderful and all those that surround it. Praise be to our everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. Maranatha!
You know I was reading the NTEB article last week and when I got to the part with Soros all I could picture in my head was that scene in the first Left Behind movie when the soon to be anti-christ was talking to that monitary backer about giving Israel plans to their third temple...
ReplyDeleteI thought WOW! LaHaye NAILED that =)
We shall see... or perhaps not...
Ken B
Kenny,
ReplyDeleteI think all of those novels were written with the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit... so the accuracy is not a surprise... at least to myself.
Sean could you provide more detail on the role of Greece in end times prophecy?
ReplyDeleteChris:
ReplyDeleteSee: "The Origin of the Antichrist" post directly below this one on the blog main page.
The Book of Daniel contains 90% of the detailed Scripture dealing with this man, Revelation the other 10%.
Uh.....wow. That's all I can say....very articulate thought right? I have been listening to JDs prophecy updates for close to two years now....like you he always has great info. I continue to look for new sources of info to confirm what I'm reading/hearing in the world (and most importantly, filter it through scripture). I have only found a few (5-6) sites that I feel are reputable. I'm sure there are hundreds, but I've narrowed it down to the same ones (yours being one of those). To see multiple sites picking up on this is very intriguing, to say the least. While there is much that remains to be seen, this is a hard individual to overlook (especially the part about his inaugural acceptance utterance). Your piece on 2 Thess (man of lawlessness being revealed) is making me think that maybe we may know the identity of the ac, or at least a strong indication. Regardless, thanks for your updates! I look forward to them as they occur. Thanks also for all the comments from all readers....I learn from y'all as well. Good bless!
ReplyDeleteStraining to hear the call,
Lance
Sean,
ReplyDeleteI just really noticed this statement you made and I have a question for you; So let's consider, within the context of the Psalm 90:10 defined 70-year generation plus an additional 10 years defining a generation of strength, what is currently happening:
My question is "does this mean I am a woman of strength because I have attained the 70 years plus the required 10 years to arrive at my 80th year and still going strong?
I got up this morning a little less slower than normal but it was simply because I really didn't want to crawl out of my nice and cozy warm bed and place my bare feet on the cold floor. But I truly don't feel old and feeble and so I am expecting my ABBA to keep me healthy, fit in mind and body and pound out all of the bumps and lumps that the enemy might kinda want to put in my pathway.
Now with this new man popping up on the world scene, I just want to be here and keep things moving in the direction that the Holy Spirit leads us in. But if I tell you I am excited beyond anything I have ever experienced before, except my Salvation time, you have to know that I feel like a kid again and anxious to get this Age completed to the Glory of God, Son and Holy Spirit.
Thanks for putting up with me and you might all keep my dear hubby in prayers because he is a very quiet man and not accustomed to lively and joyous activities that will probably cause there to be a sound wave breaking in our household, very soon. He still is not saved and his name is JIM! Looking so forward to his becoming a real GEM in God's Kingdom.
GG5/Shalom
Lance,
ReplyDeleteIn my view the critical point is the revealing of the Antichrist following when He, the Restrainer, is taken out of the way.
Who exactly is the Antichrist revealed to?
To the world at large? No, they will follow and worship him as a peacemaker and one whose genius is greater than all others. Jews will received him as a messiah, they will mistakenly accept him initially as "Messiah ben David."
So who is the Antichrist revealed to after the Harpazo?
It is my view that he is revealed to the Tribulation Saints and the 144,000 Jewish evangelists. Christians in other words. This is where i think some prophecy teacher make a minor error in saying that Christian will not know who the Antichrist is. They most certainly will and God will seal them on their foreheads for the first 3.5 years of the Thlipsis (Tribulation). In the Megas Thlipsis (Great Tribulation) Antichrist, fully powered by Satan for that final 42 months, will overcome and martyr the Tribulation Saints.
I believe the angel Gabriel tells us so much about this 'son of perdition' in the Book of Daniel so that we will be informed; being informed is part of having the oil for our lamps ready for when the Bridegroom comes IMHO.
GG5,
ReplyDeleteI don't think Psalm 90:10 speaks to individuals, it speaks to the generation as a whole.
I specifically think it applies to Israel in this last generation; the same one that Jesus referenced in the Olivet Discourse -- our generation.
All -
Our prayers to the Lord for GG5's hubby JIM and his salvation in Christ Jesus!.
Great insight Sean. Never thought about the emphasis of "revealed". I think you're dead on in your assessment, that's the only thing that makes sense. Thanks
ReplyDeleteIt occurs to me that this item needs rise from the comments section and rise to inclusion in the main post.
ReplyDeleteThere are additional 'last days' indicators that need to be included as well.
Sean, does the revealing of the ac speak to his nature or his ID? At this time no one knows the identity of the one who will rule the world (even tho we can surmise), and when he is revealed, there will also slowly dawn a second revelation as to his nature. My thot is that these two do not neccessarily need to be synonymous.
ReplyDeleteIt is also of note that Iran is in the process of unifying it's control of the Golan as well as Lebanon, the area from which the Gog troops approach Israel
God bless, and thanks for the insight.
Wayne
Wayne,
ReplyDeleteIt relates to his complete identification as the Antichrist, the beast, the man of sin; son of perdition.
The key is understanding the original Greek text that Paul wrote (to the people of Thessaloniki, Greece which is important in and of itself as noted by Pastor JD in the video).
The word we read in English is "revealed". The Greek word is "apokalyptō" (Strong's G601)
This word means "to uncover, lay open what has been veiled or covered up, disclose, make bare."
Compare this to the original title and first Greek word that John wrote in The Revelation of Jesus Christ: "apokalypsis." (Strong's G602)
The meaning is near identical to what Paul wrote in that both texts speak to a revealing.
See: 2 Thessalonians 1:7 and 1 Peter 1:7; 1 Peter 1:13; 1Peter 4:13 and several dozen other Scriptures.
So, now that I have linked directly to Geri Ungurean's well-researched article at the NTEB website, I'm going to open it up here a bit to acknowledge that Alexis Tsipras is really Alexis Cipra, and his billionaire father, Pavlos Cipra (d-2012)which was sourced to this French-language website.
ReplyDeleteIn this French article I see several names/organizations of note, such Le Pen, and Mossad.
There is another English-language article which speaks to this same type of link between intelligence agencies. If you are interested in this sort of intrigue then read this YNet article published this morning about Roger Auque a/k/a Pierre Baudry. I have a suspicion these there is a direct connection here.
The bottom line is that the new Greek PMs real name is Alexis Cipra.
Sean,
ReplyDeleteIn Daniel 8 the antichrist becomes very strong but not by his own power. Does his power rise first from the backing of a guy like Soros, or satan, or maybe both.
Dan 8:24
24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. 25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand
Just a thought here, perhaps it's been covered but here it goes, if the rendering in 2 thessalonians 2 : 2 is the day of the Lord then it doesn't say how long prior to the day of the Lord (70th week ) the antichrist will be revealed, if the rendering in 2 thessalonians 2 :2 is the day of christ (harpazo) then doesn't that mean that watchful Christians can have an idea of who the man of sin is prior to the harpazo? I'm not sure which rendering is correct tho.
ReplyDeletejmoll106,
ReplyDeleteDan. 8:21 is about Alexander the Great. Verse 22 is about the end of Alexanders Empire, his lack of a living heir to assume leadership of the Empire, and its breaking up into four smaller kingdoms ruled by the Diadochi or Successors (Alexander's leading military commanders) who were:
1.)Ptolemaic Egypt,
2.)Selucid Mesopotamia plus Central Asia,
3.)Attalid Anatolia
4.)Antigonid Macedonia
This outcome explicitly and perfectly fulfilled the angel Gabriel's prophecy. This is why, I for one, take the remainder of Gabriel's prophecy beginning at Daniel 8:23 as literal as literal can be; these yet unfulfilled prophecies are going to be fulfilled as explicitly and perfectly as they have been up to this point.
Daniel 8:23 is key to understanding the remainder... it says "...in the latter time of their kingdom..."
Whose kingdom?
The Western kingdom! This is proof, along with Gabriel's additional details in Daniel 9:24-27, that the Antichrist will arise in the West, from the nations which became the successor Roman Empire. Notice also that two of the four Roman legions involved in the fulfillment of Daniel 9:26 honored by Rome with Greek names:
Legion 5 (Legio V) after Macedonia.
Legion 15 (Legio XV) after the false Greek god Apollo.
The power referred to in Daniel 8:23 is demonic, satanic power.
hartdawg,
ReplyDeleteI decided some time ago to forget about how those phrases are rendered by different men interpreting differently. To me the focus of proper hermeneutics in interpretation of Scripture should be on how these passages are in plain text and as such need to be understood as literally as they are written.
It is really important to understand what the Holy Spirit is plainly saying through Paul here. The acute difference between "the day of Christ," which Paul clearly wrote here, and the phrase "day of the Lord" while Paul did not write here, are key to understanding this Scripture.
Beginning with 2 Thessalonians 2:1 Paul speaks directly to the occurrence of the Harpazo/Rapture. The purpose for this epistle is to stop false teaching regarding the Harpazo.
Verse 2 is literally in "the day of Christ;" that this phrase speaks directly to the occurrence of the Harpazo, the Rapture.
The "day of Christ" is the Harpazo.
Paul also referred to the "day of Christ" as "that day." In using these phrases Paul is speaking directly to the whole of the Bride of Christ throughout time to the present. The phrase "day of Christ" is Scripture is unique to the Apostle Paul; no other New testament writer used this phrase.
In contrast to this, the "Day of the LORD" is a time when God directly intervenes in the world to accomplish His plan for the world. It is not Scripture that is directed to the Bride of Christ, but to those who have rejected Christ and will therefore endure the judgments of the 70th Week, a/k/a the Thlipsis and Megas Thlipsis.
What is clearly stated in verse 3 cannot be made any clearer if one understand these important distinctions.
Sean,
ReplyDeleteHere is a Turkish article about where this new Greek PM's family originates from:
http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/tsi...&NewsCatID=351
A local newspaper in Turkey’s Thracian province of Edirne has reported that Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’ family was originally from the nearby town of Kırklareli.
In its Jan. 29 report, daily Hudut quoted the provincial head of the Freedom and Solidarity Party (ÖDP) in Edirne who claimed that Tsipras had visited the city in 2010 for a joint event between his SYRIZA coalition and the ÖDP.
According to Nevzat Çolak, the new Greek prime minister said during their meetings in Edirne that “he feels at home” when he visits the Thrace region in Turkey, as his family was originally from Babaeski, a village in the nearby Kırklareli province.
“He is a smiling person. He was very happy at the interest we showed, and we ate meals of liver together,” Çolak added.
It is not immediately clear when the Tsipras family migrated from Turkey to Greece. The population exchange between Turkey and Greece, agreed in the Swiss lakeside town of Lausanne in January 1923, came after the two states sought to fix their borders after the Turkish War of Independence. Around 1.5 million Greeks from Anatolia and around 500,000 Muslims from Greece were “exchanged” in accordance with the treaty.
Tsipras' relatives in the Athamania village, near the western Greek city of Arta, told Hürriyet that his father, Pavlos, is from Arta, as well as his parents. His mother Aristi, however, is from Kavala, a northern Greek city near the border with Turkey.
"I don't know if her family were migrants from Turkey," Dmitris Tsipras said.

Now, look at this from the Encyclopedia Britannica:

"Rome assigned much of Thrace to the kingdom of Pergamum"
The Encyclopedia article also states that Thrace was a part of Macedonia where Alexander the Great originated from. In fact, it states that Alexander recruited his valuable light armed troops from Thrace.

Seleucid kingdom, (312–64 bc), an ancient empire that at its greatest extent stretched from Thrace in Europe to the border of India. It was carved out of the remains of Alexander the Great’s Macedonian empire by its founder, Seleucus I Nicator. (See also Hellenistic Age.)

Revelation 2:
To the Church in Pergamum
12 “And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: ‘The words of him who has the sharp two-edged sword.
13 “‘I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not deny my faith[b] even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. 14 But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality. 15 So also you have some who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans. 16 Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth. 17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone that no one knows except the one who receives it.’
Oh how the Turks love to lay claim to this man. Of course, being Muslims they cannot help but to exaggerate profusely their own self-importance.
ReplyDeleteThe Turks were latecomers to this region, arriving as the Seljuk Turks, a branch of Oghuz ethnic group from Central Asia, northeast of the Caspian Sea circa 900-1000 AD. It was at this time the Seljuk chieftain (Seljuk) converted to Islam and migrated into northern Iran circa and had taken Asia Minor (Turkey today) by 1100 AD.
The ancient Greeks came from Javan, and the Thracian peoples from Tiras, both of whom were sons of Japheth (Table of nations, Genesis 10:2 and Strong's G8494).
With respect to what Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 2:3
ReplyDelete"Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,"
The apostasia has been ongoing and increasing for quite some time now, particularly here in the USA; the most virulent form of the apostasia has taken root in some churches and is known as "Chrislam."
Also, here is the text of Young's Literal Translation (YLT) for 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 (Blue Letter Bible)
"And we ask you, brethren, in regard to the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of our gathering together unto him, that ye be not quickly shaken in mind, nor be troubled, neither through spirit, neither through word, neither through letters as through us, as that the day of Christ hath arrived; let not any one deceive you in any manner, because -- if the falling away may not come first, and the man of sin be revealed -- the son of the destruction, who is opposing and is raising himself up above all called God or worshipped, so that he in the sanctuary of God as God hath sat down, shewing himself off that he is God -- the day doth not come."
I would like to add one thing that I discovered in research. Alexis was born July 28th, 1974. His birthday was on the ninth of Av. While only a 1 in 365 chance, it's a standout piece to a quickly emerging puzzle.
ReplyDeleteCasey,
ReplyDeleteExcellent research catch and I confirm your research discovery:
Alexis Cipras was born on Tisha B'Av, Sunday, July 28, 1974.
Very Well Done!
Very impressive Casey, I was not even aware of Tisha B'Av.
ReplyDeleteThanks for it!
Sean, if I may, can I ask you what is your degree of confidence that current Greek PM is the AC? 30%? 80%? more?
On my side, I am 90% confident that Putin is Gog of Ezekiel 38/39.
I can in no way speak for sean, but personally, I'm very slow to jump on any bandwagon. That said, he seems to meet all the criteria. There is only 1 thing that can disqualify him, the timing. The man of sin will be revealed in his time, we must be watchful at all times. If it's his time then it seems to me that discerning Christians would have some inkling
ReplyDeleteQuestion, will you be keeping us posted concerning the elections in Israel? I don't know if you subscribe to Joel resenberg, but he says Netanyahu may lose. I realize God is in control but it still concerns me. I suppose it shouldn't at all but it's still good to keep posted
ReplyDeleteI'll be watching, but as we all know God is in total control.
ReplyDeleteI do not believe at this point that Israel turn out Bibi for a Zionist Union-led government given the threats from Iran, Hezbollah, HAMAS and Islamic State. If Bibi loses i will be surprised, mostly because i don't expect it will happen because Israel needs Bibi to protect her from Iran as much as from Obama.
I agree with you on WND. I am done with their website (I was not a frequent WND reader).
ReplyDeleteI still read WND, for they give me something to think about occasionally. Their primary strength is where politics interacts with faith.
ReplyDeleteFor Tsirpas to remain in the running as the AC, he does need to successfully (for Greece) navigate this crisis. We will see if his latest blackmail/negotiation offer works.
In observing the ISIS and Iranian threat, it seems like the biggest success of ISIS has been to cause more people in the world to support Iran. ISIS could never have waged a Gog/Magog style attack on Israel, but as soon as they are suficiently weakened, Iran/Syria and Russia will be in a far stronger position to make this attempt at Israel. We will see if God allows this to happen.
God bless
Hartdawg,
ReplyDeleteI just want to make one quick comment regarding the Israeli election.
A few weeks ago Isaac Herzog told the Washington Post “I trust Obama to get a good deal,” on Iran.
All Israelis who disagree with this statement (as I firmly believe most do) need to vote for the right next Tuesday.
