Global SITREP D1-14: The War Continues; PA Official - Clear the Land of Jews from Jordan to the Sea; And Another Quick Halt

8 August 2014 - OPE Day 33: As expected HAMAS renewed its rocket attacks against Israel today. The IAF immediately went back into combat air operations, striking targets throughout Gaza.

There is now no question about it - the IDFs boots on the ground have a mission to complete, and not just in Gaza. INN/Arutz Sheva is reporting this morning that Fatah Central Committee member (and global PA representative) Tawfiq Tirawi has made a public call for the destruction of the State of Israel. "We [Fatah] remain committed to the promise: freedom, independence, and driving out the occupier from the entire pure land, from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea." Tawfiq Tiwari has made such statements in the past, most recently when the unity agreement came this past April between HAMAS and Fatah. Such statements are 100% consistent with the prophetic text of Psalm 83:4.

Another senior PA official, Azzam al-Ahmad, who is the lead PA negotiator in Cairo, made public statements today reinforcing the now established fact that Fatah, HAMAS and the PIJ are currently on the same page with respect to continuing the war they started against Israel. These jihadi calls by the senior PA leadership did not fall upon deaf ears in Judea and Samaria, particularly in Hebron where violence and green Islamic HAMAS flags were evidence everywhere the eye dared to gaze. The same was true in Amman, Jordan where "Death to Israel" was the order of the day. Friday is the Muslim prayer day, so the mosques and their imams were clearly working a higher jihad against Israel gear than has been noted previously.

Meanwhile, back in southern Israel, the Israeli government will monetarily subsidize the exodus of its citizens to safer locations away from Gaza border town locations but not fully out of the terrorist's rocket range. The Israeli government is doing this while they try to figure out how to bend over yet again to inane US and European opinions which come from those who are not within the Islamic jihadists line of fire. I think it no understatement by any stretch of the imagination to say that this war is now entering a phase which borders upon the ridiculous, yet which according to Bible prophecy found in John 5:43 is pretty much par for the course for Israel's leadership, or lack thereof, in these last days.

10 August 2014: Another quick halt in a seemingly never ending stream of quick halts to the war in Gaza appears to have taken hold just as HAMAS sent one of its largest Iranian-made rockets screaming towards Tel Aviv. The fourth hour of the newest halt to combat is just moments away.
Breaking News: Military Coup d'Etat in Iraq
The bigger news is in Iraq, where a military coup is in progress in Baghdad where the new President of Iraq (a Kurd) just chosen by the Iraqi Parliament has refused to allow Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to continue his Shi'a dominated and pro-Iranian government. Maliki's Shi'a troops then began seizing key government buildings in Baghdad and effected an encirclement of the Green Zone. Iraq today appears to be in a state of total chaos, with American military intervention having just gotten underway in support of al-Maliki's government against the forces of the jihadist Islamic State and well as the Kurds defending their semi-autonomous northern enclave along the Iranian and Turkish borders.

  1. Hey Sean, how's it going? I have a question about psalm 83 and if it's a disingenuous question or if my thinking is wrong then please correct me. Here's my question, do the details in psalm 83 portray all the surrounding enemies coming against Israel at once, such as would likely be the case if isis took over all the surrounding nations? Or could we expect a war like the current one with hamas to escalate and all the psalm 83 nations become involved? While I believe it is of upmost importance to stay informed on the current situation, I'm expecting that when the time comes for the final fulfillment of psalm 83 that all the nation's will come against Israel at once. Am I wrong?

  2. hartdawg,

No one can possibly know exactly how the final fulfillment of Psalm 83 will occur.

There is no right or wrong answer to how the prophecy will come to its final fulfillment.

However, and with that said, the prophecy Psalm 83 will come to fulfillment precisely as the prophecy states in verses 9 through 18.

And what Psalm 83 also does say very clearly is that all of the named enemies, even though they are sects of islam which are at war with each other, they come against the God of Israel and Israel as confederates, and with one consent seek to erase both from the face of this earth.

But Psalm 83 does not stand alone, but with companion prophecies.

Ezekiel 28:24 refers to the enemies of Israel as a "pricking briar." Can all thorns on a briar prick at once? Yet all of the thorns shall be removed and never be of any grief to Israel again.

    And what of Isaiah 11:14?

This verse tells us united Israel "shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west..."

Is this not consistent with how Israel is now taking on HAMAS in the north and south (the shoulders) of Gaza simultaneously?

"...they shall spoil them of the east together..."

Then united Israel turns to the east. What is to the east? Judea and Samaria (West Bank).

"...they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them."

And then... Edom, Moab and Ammon in that order. Notice a direct of travel here? I do, it is South to North.

There is no right or wrong answer, yet the Word of God speaks for itself and with the utmost Authority.

  3. So what do we know about Ibadi?

Is he just as close with Iran as Maliki?

  4. What Mark is referring to above is the Iraqi Parliament's newly designated Prime Minister of rump Iraq, Haider al-Ibadi.

Haider Al-Ibadi, of the Shi'a United Iraqi Alliance (Islamic Da'wa Party, headquartered in Nasariyah, Iraq), was charged by Iraqi President Fouad Massoum with putting together a new government within 30 days to replace that of the ousted Shiite Nouri al-Maliki.

Al-Maliki rejects his dismissal and has deployed his forces throughout Baghdad in a coup d'etat against the Parliament and President of Iraq and his own ruling political party. Iraqi is a house, what's left of it, that remains acutely divided along Islamic sectarian lines (Sunni vs. Shi'a), and now even with the Shi'a sect itself.

The important thing is that the Shi'a United Iraqi Alliance is (obviously being Shi'a) very pro-Iran. They are Khomeini supporters of the 1979 Iranian Revolution, of which the current Iranian government Ayatollah Khamenei is the successor. This means they are enemies of the United States of America and, of course, Israel.
