Global SITREP D8-15: Is This the End of Israel's "Pricking Brier"?

11 October 2015:  In today's edition of YNet.com's Alex Fishman's Israel Opinion column you can see a prime example of how a secular Jew properly puts blame for Arab muslim violence against Israel where it belongs, as well as improperly putting blame for Islamic violence where it does not belong - at the feet of fellow Jews, which he refers to rather antiseptically as "Religious Zionism."

Mr. Fishman's hand-wringing and galloping, unbridled fear lies not with the next injury to a fellow Jewish citizen of Israel, but with some unknown Arab muslim member of the Knesset - who pledges not one iota of loyalty to the State of Israel, but to islam because that is what is absolutely required of all muslims in the submission to the false god "allah" as dictated by the qur'an and their imams - that the Arab MK might be hit in the head by a rock thrown by a fellow muslim or a baton wielded by an Israeli policeman.

Americans must pay attention here, because a Republican candidate for President of the United States, Dr. Ben Carson, is absolutely correct in what he says about muslim's and the U.S. Constitution - i.e., not one of them can submit to the U.S. Constitution because to do so is diametrically opposed to the quranic dictate of submission (islam) to only "allah" and his will as expressed by the sayings of Muhammed and the sayings of his seventh century followers.

Mr. Fishman does not express any comprehension whatsoever about islamic violence, a/k/a jihad, being waged against Israel. He has no clue that the incitement to violence comes from one origin and one origin only - the sermons of the local imams in the mosques of Israel. He does not understand that the knives have come out of the kitchen because the qur'an says so and the imams preach it every day. Why else are explosives and firebombs kept in the al-aqsa mosque? It is an armory for achieving the will of their false god; all islamic mosques have this same purpose. They are the 'beach head' for the expansion of islam by the sword. This is the "organized leadership" that Mr. Fishman is utterly blind to.

And this non-sense about Israeli officials, who are and act as nothing more or less than the politicians that they are, tip-toeing in expressing their desire for "quiet" - this is what the secular Israeli wants; it's music to his ears. It's also music to the islamists ears as well!

Mr. Fishman wrote in his opening paragraph that "Israel (meaning the Israeli government led by Bibi Netanyahu) should crack down on its own provocateurs, emanating from the Islamic Movement, the Knesset's Arab faction, or Religious Zionism."  Lumping religious Jews in with Israel's implacable enemies - do you see this obscenity coming from Fishman's keyboard? Ignorance defined.

These religious Zionists have since the destruction of the Temple been praying for Israel's restoration to the land of Israel. Fulfillment of the prophetic word of God, no? Now they pray for the rebuilding of the Temple and restoration of the daily sacrifice and oblations. This is also prophetic, no? Yes! Again, this is prophecy yet to be fulfilled, and we know it will be. We can only pray that Alex Fishman will be one of those Jews to recognize and accept Israel's one and only Messiah; that he may be one of the 144,000 Jewish evangelists soon to spread out across the globe preaching the Gospel of Jesus which will bring millions to God during the 70th Week.

7 October 2015: Israel faces a great many threats at the present time, but the most pressing of them all is the lack of internal security and the safety of its citizens as they go about their daily lives. It is beyond unacceptable, and a possible cause of a government collapse, when the people of Israel find themselves being stoned, assaulted by would-be executioners and hangmen on a daily basis in their own God-given homeland. Who can count the number of Israeli citizens murdered in cold blood over the years by Arab Muslims living in their midst? Eitan and Naama Henkin were the most recent murder victims, but they won't be the last. Against this backdrop of wanton violence against Israelis it is incomprehensible to hear of a high Israeli government official blaming the Israeli citizens themselves for the murderous intent of the "Palestinian" terrorists. According to Israeli media, this is precisely what defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon did recently when he blamed the Jewish Home Party, and Education Minister Naftali Bennett in particular, for the current violence. Apparently Mr. Ya'alon has not been to a mosque recently to hear the imams sermon calling on all Muslims to the most extreme acts of violence against Jews wherever they are, whoever they are - man, woman, child, that is irrelevant - if they are Jews kill them. Sure his intelligence apparatus has informed him better than this, no?

So, how does all of this square with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu's recent eloquent speech and dramatic moments of silence at the UN? He pointed a long finger at the entire world whose silence in the face of holocausts and pogroms against the Jews, yet when Bibi's people are murdered, assaulted, stoned, stabbed and fire-bombed, blown up on buses and risk their very lives just to travel across town or to a nearby settlement to visit friends or relatives, it is Bibi Netanyahu who cannot find the words to call for the kind of action necessary to stop the Arab Muslim onslaught dead in its tracks.

Bibi Netanyahu has the power to stop this insanity in the time it would take him to fly back to New York City. Will he, even in the face of Arab Muslim MKs who will shortly defy the government as their Muslim ideology explicitly requires of them? It is certain that they will not act for Israel, they will act for Islam. Perhaps it will be their action at the Temple Mount this weekend that spurs Netanyahu to act for Israel? However, I never thought it would be such a laborious decision on Netanyahu's part even though that decision will lead to nationwide violence. He stands against the tide of Islamist fervor for jihad against Israel, and for Israel it will be that Netanyahu must ultimately act decisively. Prophecy proves it.

We know from the many inspired prophecies of all the great, ancient Jewish prophets, particularly Asaph, Isaiah, Ezekiel and Nehemiah, that the time is rapidly approaching when an Israeli leader will rise up and act, whether or not this leader is Bibi Netanyahu is irrelevant. This leader will have the archangel Michael lending his hand in the process. Wait and see if these two fairly specific verses below are not fulfilled in very short order exactly as they are written.

Isaiah 11:14

"But they  (Israel) shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the west;
Together they shall plunder the people of the East;
They shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab;
And the people of Ammon shall obey them."

Ezekiel 28:24

“And there shall no longer be a pricking brier or a painful thorn for the house of Israel from among all who are around them, who despise them. Then they shall know that I am the Lord God.”

  1. Sean, whenever I voice concern about Netanyahus great speeches, yet caving to UN and US pressure with ceasefires, not taking the enemy out.....whenever I mention this on Christian sites and blogs I always get the most stern rebukes. It's like Netanyahu can do no wrong. I agree with you. I have a hard time seeing Netanyahu act in a psalm 83 way

  2. Israel is in the unfortunate position of seeing the world condemn them for self defense and not a word of condemnation to the proclaimed haters of Israel. As of yet Israel has not put their hope in God. I pray they do soon.

  3. I do not know if this is the best SITREP to post this on, but I just noticed this: http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/10/08/potentially-game-changing-oil-reserves-discovered-in-israel/?intcmp=hpbt3 I wonder how this will play into the upcoming scenario.

  4. What word of prophecy had God given to Ezekiel (there are other prophets who wrote this word, but Ezekiel is by far the most prolific to prophesy it) which is the direct result of both the Psalm 83 War and the Ezekiel 38/39 battle?

"Then they shall know that I am the Lord God."

These wars are necessary, they "must take place" according Jesus in the Olivet Discourse, because they are part of the process of God revealing Himself to His chosen people; these wars are necessary so that Paul's prophecy in Romans 11 will come to fulfillment.

  5. Sean,

I hear what you are saying, and yet we all know Bibi's current cabinet was sworn in less than 5 months ago. That last election was expensive for Israel and stressful to many of us around the world and yet failed to produce a change in leadership.

If Bibi can't handle the current situation competently, it doesn't give one much hope for his handling of the much bigger challenges to come.

  6. Miriam,

There's been many Emails going around about this discovery; no doubt the spoils sought by Gog of Magog includes the oil and gas finds in Israel and the great wealth that will be generated from the exportation of these resources.

  7. Mark,

What you say is very true in my opinion.

However, Bibi's failings here are perfectly setting up an arrival of one whom observant orthodox Jews expect in the very near term: mashiach ben Joseph (Yosef).

They believe he will be from the tribe of Ephraim, a descendant of Joseph. This is the Jewish mashiach they expect will lead Israel to victory in what we know as the Psalm 83 war.

Mashiach ben Joseph is a precursor "messiah" who prepares the way for mashiach ben David. This second "messiah" is the one of whom Jesus spoke in John 5:43. We know him as the Antichrist.

  8. Sean,
It's unfortunate but true these wars must take place. Jesus said he stands at the door and knocks, waiting for the person to open the door and let him in. So many finally open the door when they have no other place to turn. Such great love and patience our Lord has. Even Israel as a nation will be brought to the place where they will finally call on Him.
    Mat 23:37

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

     Mat 23:38

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

     Mat 23:39

For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

  9. Sean, in this article, you and many Israeli's criticise Bibi for what he does not do! Can you speculate what he should or may do as a possible solutions? Bearing in mind he keeps the Obama administration on side till they go in 2016, or gives more ridiculous reasons for the progressives and liberals in the West to pick on the Jews even more. I appreciate your perspectives relating prophecy from Scripture to current events and agree to much of what you write and the rest, is wait and see (watch and pray).

  10. Anonymous,

Can I speculate on what Bibi should do to effect a solution?

No, I cannot and will not speculate on this subject. However, what I will do is repeat what God has instructed Israel to do regarding their possession of "the promised land."

First of all, as with all issues the answer does not lie within the mind or devices of mankind, but in following the directives of the LORD God. From Genesis and the Garden of Eden to the present day problems of Israel, our problems originate from the fact that we have ignored His direction. Sure, we have free will, but we ignore that which He has spoken, and as a result we live in a fallen, broken and world plagued by one catastrophe after another. None of this is what the LORD God intended for His Creation.

When the LORD God led Israel up out of Egypt (just as He had brought Abram up out of Ur of the Chaldeans) to take possession of "the promised land" did He not provide perfect instructions on how to possess the land?

Yes, He did. And those instruction are recorded in His Word. Did Israel follow those perfect instructions to the letter?

No, they did not. Hence, they ran into problems, a "pricking brier" from all those around them.

And because Israel did not follow the perfect instructions provided by the LORD God not only did Israel end up suffering the "pricking brier" from all those around them, but they also did not come to possess ALL of the land that God had promised in the vision He gave to Abram which contained the terms of the covenant and land that was promised (Genesis 15).

How is it that Christians today do not know this from the Word of God? Do we dare call them Christians who do not even of their own free will read His Holy Word? Some even claim to deny Israel what God has given them and would give it instead to the "Palestinians." These are not my brethren; they are not Christians who deny the LORD God and His Word of their own free will. But I digress...

Genesis 15 MUST be read and understood because it contains both the covenant of the land and prophecy concerning Abram's descendants. So also is Numbers 34 and Joshua 13 thru 22).

Then we move to reading Joshua. Start with verse 1, chapter 1 and proceed, but be mindful to pay attention to every single word or phrase that is written in this chapter, for they are important. And pay attention to what God says to Joshua, whom He commissions as Moses replacement to lead Israel. Specific instructions are again given in verses 7 thru 9, because this is a new generation, the generation which came up out of Egypt wandered for forty years and passed away, so this new generation is instructed through Joshua.

I will leave to all to read His Word, to understand what must be done in the taking possession of the land - so that Israel will be able to rest and enter into the conditions described by Ezekiel that will exist immediately prior to the attempt to invade and conquer by Gog of Magog.

So, what must Netanyahu do? He MUST take full possession of ALL the land. If he fails and does not do it, then God will shortly raise up another who will follow His explicit instruction of possessing ALL of the land God has given to Israel. This is prophecy that will be fulfilled in the next few years. The land to be possessed includes Gaza, all of Judea and Samaria, especially Jerusalem and the mount, and lands even beyond Israel current frontiers in the north and to the east.

  11. An article to read, in case this slipped by...

Obama Is Using the Threat of a UN Resolution That Would

Divide the Land of Israel to Blackmail Netanyahu

    By Michael Snyder
Barack Obama has sunk to a new low. He is using the threat of a UN Security Council resolution that would divide the land of Israel and give full UN recognition to a Palestinian state to blackmail Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Many had expected France to submit this resolution to the Security Council for a vote in September, but the French made it very clear that they were not going to go ahead unless they had U.S. approval. etc

  12. drk,

This report has not slipped by my notice, but since you feel it necessary for all to read, and many have already read it at Rapture Ready, then I must speak up about it.

The Michael Snyder report is not true. That Rapture Ready would propagate this nonsense is most unfortunate and proves that they neither investigate or preform due diligence to validate what it is that Rapture Ready reports as bonafide "news."

This report is not even recent. It is a rehash of what was originally reported by FoxNews back on 19 March 2015. Nevertheless, the FoxNews report was not true then and Michael Snyder's rehash of it is not true now. Prime Minister Netanyahu clearly stated the untruthfulness of this report in an interview with Megyn Kelly that same night on her program.

What the Palestinian Authority did achieve was getting their flag flown in front of the U.N. headquarters in New York City about a month ago. This act does not confer statehood upon the PA.

  13. "We can only pray that Alex Fishman will... repent" But although such mentality as he displays can be overcome I fear it is the prevailing mentality of the day and will only increase as THAT day approaches. There seems to be an ever increasing hostility to Jewish existence even within the ranks of 'christianity'. It makes one sick at heart and cry out for the return of the one who is Truth and Justice.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Brain,

The ranks of 'christianity' you refer to are not truly Christian; I think at least some of us understand this; their opposition to Israel affirms their status as being non-Christian I am also of the opinion that we should refrain from referring to those people as 'chrisitan' entirely.

Another excellent and most informative example for this faux 'christian' issue is what's coming from Eastern Orthodox clergy and others regarding Vladimir Putin and his military forces actions in Syria.

The Melkite Greek Catholic Archbishop of Aleppo, Jean-Clement Jeanbart, has publicly stated that Putin is doing his "Christian duty" in attacking the Sunni Islamist foes (all of them, not just IS) of Bashar al-Assad. So here we have a serious problem with at least some 'christians' in Syria that so many express concerns about.

This information was reported last Friday (09OCT15) by the Sunni Muslim news outlet Al-Arabiya. The Putin information reported by ChristianToday.com website dates to a continuously updated article from 2013.

There is also a report published by hollowverse.com concerning Putin's own commitment to the religious morals of the Russian Orthodox (a/k/a the Eastern Orthodox) church that were instilled in him by his mother.

Imagine, Gog of Magog invading Israel under the pretense of it being his 'christian duty' to do so.

Knowledge of these issues is very important; I wonder who else is reporting these things?

  15. By the way... does anyone remember the Iraqi government spokesman and Ba'ath Party member just prior to Operation Iraqi Freedom? He was promoted to become Saddam's Foreign Minister and was succeeded by the infamous pre-war comic "Baghdad Bob."

    His name: Tariq Aziz.

Tariq Aziz was an ethnic Iraqi Assyrian and a regular evening news feature on CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC. He was the darling of the anti-war American Left.

He was a Chaldean Catholic, a/k/a an Iraqi "Christian."

He entered into eternity via a heart attack this past June.

  16. Sean,
Your followups have been interesting. Tariq Aziz is a good example of the false believers. (He knows the truth now, any real believer would be present with the Lord.)
I read the homework you assigned. The book of Joshua is one book I enjoy reading. It really lays out the land God promises to the Hebrews and gives such direct and clear direction for them to follow. I believe Joshua met Jesus (in the way). It always give me chills.
