Global SITREP B8-24: Joshua 13 Northern Arrows (Continued)

UPDATED 2 October 2024: In the aftermath of the Iranian Twelver (Shi'a) Regimes ballistic missile attack on the State of Israel, IDF CoS Herzi HaLevi communicated with 4-Star USCENTCOM Commander Eric Kurilla to coordinate a unified response to the attack, even though the attack turned out to be a military failure. It is assessed at this time that the coming unified response will include Iranian nuclear facilities and petroleum infrastructure as well as the depots containing Iran's remain long-range missiles of all types. The price the Twelver regime will pay for its attack will be extraordinary and will eventually lead to its demise.

The attack is assessed to have included 180 ballistic missiles of the conventional Emad and Ghadr designs, and for the first time the hypersonic Fattah-2. Ballistic missiles reach altitudes which scrape the edge of space before descending into the target area. The vast majority were intercepted and destroyed by Anti-Ballistic Missiles (ABM) launched by two US Navy destroyers and Israel's own multi-tiered ABM array. 

Meanwhile the IDF's elite 98th Division continued its push into southern Lebanon on the ground with armor artillery and in the air (attack helicopters). The Israel Air Force has complete domination of the high ground in Lebanese airspace above. The IDF's 36th Division has also joined the combat Operation Northern Arrows in Lebanon.

UPDATE 4 October 2024: Israel has struck and completely obliterated a weapons depot virtually adjacent to the Russian Khmeimim Air Base in Latakia Province, Syria. 

The information collected thus far is that an Iranian (IRGC-QF) Qeshm Air cargo jet landed at the Khmeimim Air Base with a cargo of weapons for Hezbollah. This would indicate Russia has decided to allow deliveries of this type making them as much a part of the current war as is America in supplying Israel with weapons. Russia can always make the claim that Khmeimim is a Syrian base as its official name is Bashar Al-Assad International Airport. 

The Qeshm Air delivery was subsequently offloaded and trucked to a previously unknown depot in the adjacent town of Jableh which Israel struck within an hour of the weapons arrival. The Israeli strike appears to have consisted of 30-some odd missiles or Harop drones that came in from the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, indicating that perhaps this was an Israeli Navy strike. In any event this IDF strike is unprecedented and in, no pun intended, uncharted waters. The weapons depot was destroyed in due course by the weapons cooking off for nearly an hour following the initial missile/drone strikes. 

Probably related is the Syrian Arab League Ambassador Ala request for the League to make a decision tantamount to a declaration of war against Israel to halt the "occupiers'" aggression in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria. Neither Israel or Russia have thus far acknowledged this action, even though both Russian and Syrian air defenses were reportedly active in trying to engage the incoming Israeli weapons.

During the 2006 war instigated by Hezbollah the IDF was unable to gain full control of the high ground at Maroun El Ras. The image above illustrates how the IDF has achieved this objective in 2024 by raising the Star of David there in less than a week.

SIDON Being Driven Out, Monday 23 September 2024

24 September 2024: Oh, come now Brothers and Sisters, is this nothing more than coincidence, simply a happenstance??!?!

In my New King James Version of the Holy Bible, the first seven verses of Joshua 13 are boldly captioned "Remaining Land to Be Conquered." And those first seven verses read (underscored italics mine for emphasis):

Now Joshua was old, advanced in years. And the Lord said to him: “You are old, advanced in years, and there remains very much land yet to be possessed. This is the land that yet remains: all the territory of the Philistines and all that of the Geshurites, from Sihor, which is east of Egypt, as far as the border of Ekron northward (which is counted as Canaanite); the five lords of the Philistines—the Gazites, the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites; from the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians as far as Aphek, to the border of the Amorites; the land of the Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrise, from Baal Gad below Mount Hermon as far as the entrance to Hamath; all the inhabitants of the mountains from Lebanon as far as the Brook Misrephoth, and all the Sidonians—them I will drive out from before the children of Israel; only divide it by lot to Israel as an inheritance, as I have commanded you. Now therefore, divide this land as an inheritance to the nine tribes and half the tribe of Manasseh.”

In the image above, taken yesterday (Monday 23 September 2024), looking south towards southern Lebanon and northern Israel, are these Sidonian not being driven out before the children of Israel? Is this not a direct literal fulfillment of prophecy before our eyes?

I suggest a thorough reading of Joshua 13 is an essential task as it is a prophecy to be fulfilled and witnessed by our eyes in the present time. As you read you will hopefully notice that verses 15 and 16, wholly part of the remaining land to be conquered by Israel, specifically name geographic place names, such as Aroer, the River Arnon and the city which is in the midst of the ravine, Dibon. 

The Valley of the Passengers Ezekiel

Eschatology Today has been here previously in the series The Prophetic Road to Revelation (Part IV): The War of Gog of Magog. This is linked here for good reason as a refresher for some, and new knowledge for others. A good portion of the discussion of Ezekiel 39 notes these places in the Valley of the Passengers as being in Israel, even though they are today within the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Well prior to the prophetic words of Ezekiel, here we have the writer of Joshua naming the same places as being part of the land to be conquered by Israel! 

How much more prescient can these prophetic indicators be with respect to the lateness of the time in which we are living, eating and breathing with the bodies in which we were born?

Thus, a thorough reading of Ezekiel 38/39 is also highly recommended. Notice what takes place at Ezekiel 39:29, a very strong indicator (and Warning or I&W) that the Harpazo (Rapture) of the Bride of Christ will have occurred in the unknown interim!

Global SITREP B6-24: Northern Front

IDF troops prepare for operations in Lebanon

UPDATED 18 September 2024: It's said that an object in motion tends to stay in motion. As we have seen in the past couple of days the IDF's "center of gravity" is moving inexorably towards the Northern Front. The IDF mission objective is to fight Hezbollah on Lebanon's territory so as to allow Israeli civilians to return safely to their homes in northern Israel. Based upon Bible prophecy, the books of Joshua, Jeremiah and Isaiah especially, Eschatology Today believes that the Northern Front holds much more in store for Israel and its defense forces than merely driving Hezbollah terrorists north of the Litani River. We'll follow key events closely and as they occur.

UPDATE 23 September 2024: To use colloquial terminology, It's on! 

As of this morning, and following unprecedented leaflet drops, telephone calls and text message warnings from the IDF there are tens of thousands of Lebanese civilians in mass exodus from southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley. The IDF has also provided video evidence of civilian homes in Lebanon which show irrefutable proof of special construction of hatches and openings constructed by Hezbollah that contain cruise missiles and other hostile aircraft launch platforms within them. Resident and neighbors were urged for their own safety to depart from these areas with all due haste and these structures will be destroyed. Somewhere between 300 and 400 hundred structures have been destroyed in at least three waves of strikes thus far today, and its only 3:30 PM in Israel as of this writing. The warnings were specific and included the Beqa'a Valley where Hezbollah has long occupied as its primary stronghold.

Global SITREP A7-24: The War in the North Part II

12 April 2024: The cyber-sky is full of media and supposed insider flak at present regarding the who, what, when and how the Twelver Regime might attempt to strike in retaliation for Israel's strike on the IRGC-QF headquarters destruction of eleven days ago. And this doesn't even account for a highly probable Israeli response, a potential American retaliation against Iran and the massive amount of international hand-wringing over the entire possible if not probable rumors of war scenarios. 

Most of the guesswork in the MSM citing anonymous official sources has, obviously, missed the mark thus far, they predicted before then end of Ramadan. The Wall Street Journal, citing a source claiming to have been briefed by the Twelver Regime itself, is the latest to put forward a timeline: within 24-48 hours of daybreak today.

Eschatology Today's current assessment of the entire gamut of known unknowns is what will be, will be. However, a direct mass attack into Israel by any or all of Iran's proxies, including Iran itself, could easily result in a massive Israeli strike against the Twelver Regime inside of Iran, as well as in Lebanon and Syria. Might this be a pending fulfillment of Jeremiah 49:24-27 and 34-39, followed closely by Isaiah 17, Joshua 13:1-7  and ultimately the final act of Psalm 83? We're about to find out the details of these prophetic appointment of the Lord.

Global SITREP D10-22: The Emergent Religious Israel

UPDATED 20 December 2022: Within hours Israel's new government will be announced and Eschatology Today believes this will be an Israel that very few living today have ever seen before. Only those aged 75 or older might remember the religious fervor that accompanied Israel's founding. Now with several Religious Judaism parties holding sway within the Likud government of PM Bibi Netanyahu tremendous events stand before us, all of them noted in key prophetic verses of Old and New Testament Scripture.

One item that will manifest early on is the removal of the sign imaged above which forbids Jews from enter the Temple Mount. This is something that Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel's new National Security Minister will in all certainty will play a key role in. A new law, known until now as the "Ben-Gvir Law," will establish his position and add to his official portfolio a police ordinance whereby he alone will set and control what the Israeli police can and cannot do. 

As you may recall the Israeli police enforce the prohibition against Jews ascending to the Mount as well as Jews engaging in prayer on the Mount. NSM Ben Gvir is going to change that and he will soon ascend the Mount, as he's promised to do many times, and he will most likely pray once he's there. Ben-Gvir will be instrumental in opening up Temple Mount to all Jewish worshipers.

Most everyone can see where this is leading. Muslims will riot, and the Temple Mount will become the focus of the next crisis in the Arab-Israeli conflict. The battle for the Temple Mount will be joined and the history of the past 56 years will become footnotes in any books written about the current era. 

Update 23 December 2022: In concluding this SITREP, we'll build off and move forward from my comment posted at 2:31 PM yesterday regarding the new Israeli law. This new law is to be enacted prior to the passage of the 2023 budget of the new government of the State of Israel. This new law mandates the death penalty for those who commit acts of terrorism that are intent on harming the State of Israel and its Jewish people. As most of us can now clearly see with the new government in Israel the proverbial gloves have come off. 

More new laws are coming. One of them, a religious liberty law, will exempt religious Jews and business owners from exercising their Torah beliefs in refusing to provide services that are against those beliefs. This means that currently existent "anti-discrimination" laws that punish religious Jews for refusing to honor the desires of the LGBTQ community, and others, which are in direct conflict with the Hebrew Scriptures.

And finally the greatest of the new actions, and the one with very profound prophetic implications, is the inclusion in the Coalition agreement between Likud and the Religious parties is the "Sovereignty Plan." The Sovereignty Plan will bring full Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria. This plan was first proposed by PM Bibi Netanyahu in September 2019. It implementation will fulfill the Zionist vision of "Israeli sovereignty over the birthplace of the Jewish people, Judea and Samaria." The election of the Likud/Religious Zionist coalition is seen as a mandate approved by the majority of Israel's voters, who have clearly made known their desire for full Israel sovereignty over the whole of Biblical Israel and no to a "Palestinian" state on the territory of Eretz Israel.

There no doubt that the sovereignty plan will be vehemently opposed, domestically and from abroad. It is very likely, in conjunction with what will occur on the Temple Mount, to be a catalyst for tremendous violence and a wholesale re-shaping of the map of the Eastern Mediterranean, to include Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and even the Sinai. This will bring about the so-called "one-state solution." All of this is one-hundred percent prophetic. In particular we'll cite Isaiah 11:12-14, and which goes hand-in-hand with Ezekiel 28:24-26, Joshua 13:1-7 and the Psalm 83 prophecy. This we have been discussing over the past 13 years (2009-2022) on Eschatology Today and are all very familiar with the subject matter.

The difference now is that we can see it coming to fulfillment through the newly elected government of Israel. The Church Age is quickly coming to a close and God's attention is moving toward Israel. The Harpazo of the Bride of Christ is more imminent than ever before, so now is the time to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all who  will receive it for their names have been written into the Book of Life even before the foundation of the world.

Global SITREP F1-21: The Next War Will Be The Psalm 83 Finale War

24 November 2021: For nearly a full twelve years Eschatology Today has been keyed to the the Psalm 83 war scenario as a paradigm shifting event. The major domino to fall in a series of rapid events on the proverbial Road to the Revelation of Jesus Christ, a/k/a the '70th Week of Years.'

The sum of this prophetic scenario is the combination of Psalm 83 and its parallel prophecies by Isaiah (11:12-14) and Ezekiel (28:24-26) as well as Isaiah 17 and Joshua 13:1-7. To these we also add Jeremiah 49:23-27 and Jeremiah 49:34-39. All of these should be read as being part of a whole prophetic narrative to be fulfilled prior to the '70th Week of Years' which we also know as the Thlipsis and Megas Thlipsis (Tribulation and Great Tribulation). These prophecies are kinetic warfare enabled by the technology of the 21st century. These are lightning-quick missile warfare.

There is a member of the Israeli Knesset from the Likud by the name of Nir Barkat. He spoke today at a conference held at Reichman University in Herzliya, Israel. Eschatology Today views statements he made there as being a very precise summation of the prophetic scenario about to be fulfilled in the near-term as has been discussed on this blog over the course of the past twelve years.

"In the next attack, with missiles coming from Lebanon, this will not be the Third Lebanon War, this will be the First Iran War. I think we are not properly assessing the threat coming from Iran that plans to act against us in six arenas: The Lebanese, the Gazan, the long-range missiles, the attempt to establish itself in Syria, Judea and Samaria and there is also a new threat from home - some residents of the State of Israel." 

MK Nir Barkat continued with, 

"The Iranian conventional threat requires us to rethink how we not only harm Lebanon when we are attacked by the Iranian proxy sitting in Lebanon, but how we harm Tehran. So that when the Iranians in Tehran want to order Hezbollah to open fire against Israel, their voice will tremble because they will know that they themselves would be harmed in Tehran - and they are no longer protected."

That's quite a summation from the former mayor of Jerusalem of ten years (2008-2018). In the view of Eschatology Today the above quotes are prescient and descriptive in an almost peculiar prophetic yet secular sense. That may be the net result of Barkat's in-depth knowledge of modern military tactics due to his six years of service as a former elite IDF paratrooper. Major Nir Barkat was wounded during combat operations in Lebanon, and knows of what he speaks. He may also be aware of the above Old Testament prophecies as well. Whatever the case, his words have a profound resonance.

As has been stated before, any one of Israel's strikes at Iranian or Hezbollah targets in Syria could be the one which begins the toppling of the precisely arranged prophetic dominoes. There was another IAF strike in Homs, Syria mere hours ago as this SITREP began being composed. There were casualties in the strike. Eyes on continued developments, updates as they occur.

Global SITREP A4-19: Israel's Northern Front Offensive - Part II

Updated 7 February 2019: The importance Eschatology Today placed upon the OSINT reporting in yesterday's update on the S-300 battery going operational at Masyaf has been confirmed via a just updated report published this morning in Israel by i24News: "Operational Advancement of S-300 Mean a Dangerous Junction Ahead in Syria." As stated in the i24News assessment, the use of the S-300 against IAF aircraft striking Iranian military targets, which Israel will strike again as determined necessary, can easily pull the Syrian regime into full-scale war against Israel. We know this potential war as the fulfillment of Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49:23-27, and it could ignite, as noted previously, at any moment within the new few weeks. 

Question: Was the shoot down last September of the Russian IL-22 "Coot" ELINT aircraft over the Mediterranean Sea by wildly-firing Syrian air defense batteries a possible fulfillment of Jeremiah 49:23? Is the still impending battle of Idlib, where skirmishes all along the front lines are a near daily occurrence, the "bad news" Hama (Hamath) and Idlib (Arpad) are to hear? Make no mistake, these are the events which Jeremiah's prophecy declares as preceding the destruction of Damascus by an all-consuming fire. Keep watching brothers and sisters.

The second of two expect Iranian rocket launches (read: ICBM tests) has failed.
Sounds like the Lord's breaking of the Iranian bow is in-progress. The current plan is for US forces to be withdrawn from Syria by the end of April.

The US announced today that our military forces are prepared to protect US facilities and personnel in Venezuela if the need arises. Venezuela immediaely rolled out its Russian-made S-300VM air defense system. Massive amounts of life-saving humanitarian supplies (50 metric tons from the U.S. alone) are now building up at the border crossing of Cucuta, Colombia at the request of Interim President Guaido. Supporting Interim President Guaido is important as that will be the most expedient method of getting Hezbollah out of Venezuela. Mass defections of the Venezuelan military to the Guaido forces are increasing by the hour. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

6 February 2019: OSINT reports indicate that Iranian military entrenchment continues with large IRGC and Syrian government cargo aircraft flying continually in a Damascus-Tehran-Damascus circuit. These flights are monitored extensively by OSINT reporting as well as US/Israeli military aircraft as noted below.

The Syrian S-300 battery that arrived from Russia and deployed to Masyaf northwest of Damascus in October 2018 is nearing an operational capability according to satellite imagery acquired by the Israeli company ImageSat International (ISI). The latest ISI image (Times of Israel clickable image below) released yesterday reveals that three out of the four missile canisters of this battery are now standing upright in pre-launch position. The 4th canister tube launcher remains covered by camouflage netting.

In other OSINT news, the U.S. Army has purchased for immediate use an upgraded version of Israel's Rafael/IAI-built Iron Dome Air Defense System. The new block variant has an increased range of intercept from 45 miles to 155 miles. Testing of the upgraded system was done in the United States. Cost: $400 million. For immediate deployment and potential use against Iranian tactical missiles.

There is an increased yet secretive Russian transfer of armored vehicles, howitzers, ammunition and supplies into the Russian-occupied Donbas region of southern Ukraine. 

4 February 2019: OSINT this morning is reporting several US and Israeli intelligence collection aircraft are active over the eastern Mediterranean Sea opposite the Lebanese and Syrian coastlines. The intel collector aircraft involved are two USAF RC-135 Rivet Joint and two IAF G550 SIGINT Nachshon Shavit. There is also IAF activity over Mt. Hermon and a pair of RAF (UK) Tornado GR4 aircraft out of Cyprus.. Inbound large cargo aircraft from Tehran to Damascus are the object of the ongoing intelligence collection. Action of this type has been known in recent time to precede IAF strikes in southern Syria. We'll soon see if the bellicose threats from Tehran and Damascus have been a bluff or not.

A day ago CJTF-OIR aircraft attacked and destroyed a Syrian Army artillery piece and wounded two soldiers in the region just west of Abu Kamal. The artillery piece was identified as firing upon CJTF-OIR ground forces.

Russia recently completed the contruction of 18 hardend shelters for its strike aircraft based at Khmeimim Air Base. The Russians are not planning any soon withdrawal of their forces from Syria; they have a 50-year deal with the Syrian government.

29 January 2019: All indications are that Israel's airborne offensive targeting Iranian bases and supply depots in Syria have caused extensive and severe damage to the three primary enemies, Iran, Syria and Hezbollah, and their warfighting infrastructure. If the rhetoric coming from these three enemies in just the past week is to be believed, and there's no reason not to believe them, then the flood of prophetic pre-70th Week fulfillment discussed on Eschatology Today for the past several years may well be just a matter of a few weeks away, if not sooner.

Of interest is the news that Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah has emerged from a period of virtual invisibility which led to rampant rumors of his death or medical incapacitation. Nasrallah's re-appearance was perhaps forced by the overwhelming success Israel has achieved in its two most recent strikes on Iranian bases in around Damascus, Syria; the preemptive destruction of war materiel destined for delivery to Hezbollah, as well as the destruction of strategic tunnels (Operation Northern Shield) which had been of critical import to their war plans for the coming hostilities. With a matter of just six weeks Israel significantly has altered the battlefield to its great tactical and strategic advantage.

Why is this kind of detail important? It may not be to many readers, but it is to Eschatology Today as it is a real-time record and historical account of the prophetic events that are upon this world.

As stated previously on this blog, the prophetic pre-70th Week wars will come to pass as a flood comes to the unsuspecting village in the valley below. The vast majority of the world today is not concerned with the Lord's prophetic word; this world denies His word and ridicules those who profess it. Think back to the days of early 70 AD as several Roman legions began to invade the land. The Roman legions marched their conquering way in battle after battle, skirmish after skirmish towards Jerusalem, eventually surrounding and laying a siege to the city and its Holy Mount which the Lord's presence had departed at the crucifixion of Jesus Messiah. Is there any written account of that day circa 33 AD in which the writer exclaimed the literal fulfillment of Daniel 9:26? Is there any citing the passing of thirty-seven years between the first two lines of that verse? No, there isn't. The closest writings are the Gospels and the Book of Acts which were written decades after-the-fact. 

So it is today with the majority of those alive on planet earth in utter disbelief of the ongoing process of eschatological fulfillment. There are even those calling themselves 'Christians' who profess denial of these facts known to us and which are progressing forward on a daily basis, just as the Roman legions progressed upon Jerusalem two-thousand years ago. Echatology Today is currently proclaiming that we are nearing the culmination of time in the coming flood of fulfillment. The time remaining is so very, very short. And in a still unknown nanosecond we shall be taken. Hopefully the Lord will allow this and other blogs to remain for the benfit of those to be redeemed during the 70th Week. 

"The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined."

Russia's role in these coming events is on everyone's mind these days. Some believe that Ezekiel 38/39 will be launched from Syria. Eschatology Today has never accepted this faulty theory, and will offer some recent OSINT in support of this position. 

But first, there is a Biblical reason why Gog of Magog will not launch his attempt to conquer and loot Israel from Syria, and it is found in Isaiah 17:1-3. This passage of Scripture directly links the ruination of Damascus, the abandonment of human habitation of the "cities of Aroer," with the end of the miv·tsär' (hold, fenced-in, fortress) of Ephraim (so-called 'Palestinian territory" of the northern West Bank/Judea and Samaria), the kingdom (sovereign government) in Damascus and the remnant of `Aram (Syria). The exsum exegesis of this, as we've discussed previously, is that Syria as we know it today will have ceased to exist. Put another way, Russia's military forces in Syria are, by hook or by crook, going back to Russia prior to Ezekiel 38/39. Additionally, Russian forces in Syria at present are by no means even close to being adequate to fulfill what is prophesied in Ezekiel 38/39.

Now for the real-world OSINT. Russia is in deep, deep economic trouble. This is on the surface a real-world high-probability cause for Gog of Magog to one day soon seek the conquest and looting of the coming 'greater Israel.' Russia has been spending huge sums of currency on modernizing its own military hardware, its military ongoing adventurism, plus the military hardware of Bashar al-Assad in Syria (and elsewhere, like Venezuela) and for which it has not been paid-in-full. But this is all a veneer beneath which lies a Russian economy in an utterly pitiful state. Few in the Russian population believe their current leader can solve Russian problems at home. There are tens of millions of Russians living daily in horrible conditions while the ruling elite of the country bask in luxury. Russia, it could be said, it a Venezuela waiting to happen.

In exsum, Russia today is in many cases in economic worse shape than it was when the Soviet Union collapsed, and no one in Russia has any idea how to put this humpty-dumpty back together again. Eschatology Today believes that Russia, one way or another, will withdraw its meager forces out of Syria and then God will take over to complete the impending collapse as we see in the Ezekiel 38/39 prophecy.

Global SITREP E2-18: IDF Operation Northern Shield

FINAL UPDATE 16 December 2018:  Comments that were made yesterday and early this morning are going to constitute the final update for this SITREP.

The shoot down of the Russian IL-22M (NATO Name: Coot-A) ELINT aircraft (See: Global SITREP D1-18: The End-Game in Syria?) in mid-September did indeed launch the "end-game" in Syria. In fact, that critical event has become the direct impetus for the literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 38:7 NKJV, which reads:

"Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them."

Here are the details of which Eschatology Today is now fully aware. One week ago a senior IDF military delegation, led by IDF Operations commander Major General Aharon Haliva, and his staff traveled to Moscow to meet with his direct Russian Federation military counterpart.  

Now understand this, most published media accounts, including and especially Israeli media, about this allegedly high-level face-to-face meeting are disinformative at best. These reports deliberately obscure the true net results of what took place. There is one exception that Eschatology Today located yesterday, and that report was published by YNet News yesterday morning.

The senior Russian officer did not meet with MG Haliva. In fact MG Haliva and his staff were snubbed completely by the Russians. The Russian officer who did meet with MG Haliva was his subordinate stand-in, Major General Vasily Trushin. This thing here is that MG Trushin, who is about to retire, has no direct connection to the Russian military operations in Syria. According to an un-named IDF official, MG Trushin is the only Russian military officer to have any regular contact whatsoever with Israel since the Coot-A shoot down by Syrian forces. As reported by Ynet News, 

"Furthermore, the Russians set the date for the meeting knowing full well that their chief of military operations, chief of staff, defense minister, and a large part of the Russian military brass would not even be in the country during Haliva’s visit."

 These details are critically instructive about what the IDF delegation actually returned from Russia with. And that is nothing more than a continuation of discussions on "security coordination" in Syria through which zero of substance is accomplished. Israel, as represented by the IDF, was snubbed in the most overt, in-your-face manner possible by Russia. Israel's best efforts at diffusing tensions with Russia, which are not Israel's fault but Syria's, have been repeatedly rejected. Moreover, the Russians have given the Iranian military forces in Syria, including Hezbollah, the freedom to disguise themselves by flying the Russian flag wherever they may be operating. 

This is essentially Russia fulfilling in real-time the prophecy of Ezekiel 38:7 in guarding them from Israeli military attacks and allowing Iranian and Syrian forces to soon fire upon Israel from their positions flying the Russian flag. What takes place next, preemptive or not, is eminently predictable as we know from several of the ancient Hebrew prophets God-breathed texts.

14 December 2018: The case for direct linkage of several major prophecies (i.e. prophetic dominoes) is becoming easier with each passing day. Take Isaiah 17 for example. There's some intel circulating in the past few days, especially since the alleged IAF strikes on Kisweh and Harfa of a week ago (AFP image above), that the IRGC-QF has deployed Hezbollah units in a continuous line along the Syria-Lebanon border, and then in a semi-circular ring around southern Damascus. 

In addition to these deployments IRGC-QF has deployed its Shi'a militias in front of the Hezbollah positions facing the Golan and Israel. The thinking that goes with this intel is that Iran is preparing to open a broad front against Israel from both Lebanon and Syria, with the initial intent of slicing off the Galilee region, or a good chunk of it, from Israel. Simultaneously the terror in Judea and Samaria and from Gaza is intended to encircle Israel with conflict on all sides. 

The current Eschatology Today assessment holds that Israel will continue to act preemptively as discussed in this SITREP, probably with its regional allies and without so much as a peep of warning, to continue thwarting the Iranian war plans. Think: modern maneuver warfare on steroids, in-depth and well behind enemy lines. It's just a matter of time; yet sooner rather than later.

12 December 2018: There are a handful of updates gleaned from OSINT in the past few days to keep us all ahead of the curve. The events may seen to some to be a world away and no great concern to us. However, as you will soon see, that is not the case.

1. Most of the civilized world is aware, ad nauseum, thanks to media hyping, of the brutal Saudi killing of journalist Adnan Khashoggi. Yet most are completely in the dark about two Iranian murder plots to be executed on foreign soil. One, thwarted in the nick of time last month by Danish intelligence, involved an Norwegian-Iranian who planned to murder an Iranian dissident in Denmark. The other was exposed last July after Austrian intelligence arrested an Iranian diplomat who was leading a plot to bomb an annual meeting of Iranian dissidents in Paris. President Trump and his lawyer Rudy Giuliani attended that meeting. So, behind the scenes, those in power in the West are well aware of the malignant nature of the Iranian Shi'a Twelver regime in Tehran.

2.) Iran has within the past day officially acknowledged the test launch of their Khorramshahr MIRV ICBM. This test has set the EU, specifically the UK, Germany and France, firmly against the Islamic Republic, because they now realize Iran could today hit the heart of the EU with MIRVed warheads, possibly nuke warheads unless Iran's clandestine nuclear program is halted. This reality scares the EU's governing body, and not due to any regard for the prophetic text of Jeremiah 49:34-39. Their anxiety is instead due to Iran's flagrant violation of what they do hold as sacred - UNSCR 2231, a/k/a Annex B of the 2015 JCPoA. These two items have had a cumulative effect upon Western leaders lead us directly to the third and most important part of this update. 

3. There is a growing realization among the Western intelligence community, especially in Israel, that the largely down-played Iranian Shi'a Twelver apocalyptic worldview did not suddenly cease to exist with the fall from power of Mahmud Ahmadinejad. Rather it is very much alive and well within the Ayatollah, his clerics and the current Iranian president Rouhani. Western intelligence now believe in the reality that Iran is planning a "massive regional war" in furtherance of the Twelver objective of hastening the arrival their al-Mahdi figure. Put another way, our guys now believe their guys are serious of creating an apocalypse in the Middle East. The intel folks assess the sum total of all Iranian actions, covert and overt, from the Hezbollah tunnels to Gaza, to Lebanon, to the Gulf and even to Central and South America, all have the common objective of being preparations for war.

One last note, and this one really brings it home. It's been revealed that the "Hezbollah tunnel operative" seen recently on an Israel robot video camera has been identified an an Iranian known by the pseudonym "Azaladin." This Iranian is known to have trained with Mexican drug cartels on the U.S. southern border. Kinda puts a new light on what President Trump said on live TV yesterday with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer regarding who we've captured, who we've seen, and who's still there, as well as the urgent requirements of our own border security. We need to forcefully tell the politicians to stop playing politics with our national  well being - or else.

8 December 2018: As ONS continues apace, the anticipated forward deployment of the IDF into Lebanon proper to complete destruction of discovered tunnels may be a step or two away rom becoming reality. Hezbollah appears to want this to occur. So, within this light the statement today by Minister Yoav Glanat on Israel Channel 10 News is worth noting. This is not a new statement as it has been stated previously when the threat of war with Hezbollah reared its head a couple of time in the past decade or so. 

 "We must trust the IDF and its strength, we know what to do. It does not mean that we want a war, but if we have one, we will return Lebanon to the Stone Age." - Housing Minister Yoav Galant on 8 December 2018. 

Note: Yoav Galant is a retired IDF Major General. A former commander of the Southern Command, MG Galant led the IDF against HAMAS during Operation Cast Lead of 2008-09. 

4 December 2018: Overnight the IDF launched a large-scale operation, code named Operation Northern Shield (ONS for short on this blog), to destroy invasion tunnels built by Iran's Lebanese military proxy force Hezbollah. No doubt these intended invasion tunnels were constructed with funds provided by the Islamic Republic of Iran. Israel has issued warnings to both Hezbollah and the Lebanese Army about the deadly danger they would find themselves in should their forces approach the border.

A quick review is in order to place a series of major recent events in the proper perspective, as they are all part of the larger ongoing war between Iran and Israel.

1. Just over three weeks ago, as ordered by Iran, HAMAS and the PIJ in Gaza launched a massive barrage of nearly 500 rockets into southern Israel. Israel countered this attack with an even more massive set of counter-strikes into Gaza. HAMAS plea for a ceasefire were accepted by Israel, which created a serious problem for Netanyahu's coalition govenment. Assurances were made that the ceasefire was necessary in that a larger issue was at-hand.

2. One week later Israel launched massive punitive attacks on Iranian and Hezbollah positions, command posts and military warehouses across the breadth of southern Syria, right up to the Golan area of Quneitra. Syria, Iran and Hezbollah go silent and lick their serious wounds. Israel watches and waits for retaliation which does not materialize.

3. Operation Northern Shield is launched launched one week later, and as of last evening Israel time the operation was well under way to locate and destroy the tunnels that Iran had planned for Hezbollah and its other proxies forces to invade and seize Israel's Galilee region. These tunnels are a casus belli for Israel to re-engage Hezbollah in combat as they are an obvious and blatant violation of the ceasefire that ended the 2006 war under a U.N. resolution.

It should go without saying, but only destroying one-half, the half that are inside the Israeli border, of each of the several Hezbollah invasion tunnels will never result in a "mission complete" status for Operation Northern Shield. The IDF will of necessity have to also destroy the half of the tunnels inside Lebanon. That will bring war against both Hezbollah and the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF). And that war will require Israel to subdue ALL of Lebanon, and in that we should find the fulfillment of the ancient Joshua 13 directive prophecy found in verses 1 through 7. Verses 8 through 33 deal with the inheritance of the lands in present-day Jordan east of the Jordan River. Israel's possession of these lands in also in accordance with the prophecy of Isaiah 11:14 as well as Ezekiel 39:11-16. 

Eschatology Today cares not what any man or group of men have to say, only what the prophetic Word of God has long ago said about these matters before us today. Marana'tha!

Global SITREP B2-18: Ideas on the Ongoing Prophetic Flood

(UPDATES BELOW) 17 April 2018: As mentioned in the previous SITREP a lot of information has been posted on Eschatology Today that deals with a flood of prophetic fulfillment. 

This 'prophetic flood" theme is taken directly from the angel Gabriel informing the prophet Daniel about the seventy weeks prophecy (Daniel 9:24-27). This is a prophecy which we all should be very familiar with as it is one of the most critical set of prophetic verses regarding "last days" eschatology. 

Gabriel informed Daniel that three distinct periods of time would transpire in the future for Israel as part of a total of 70 weeks. These periods of time are related as being weeks of years, with each of them constituting a period of seven literal years of 360 days each within each week. The first period was for 7 weeks (7 x 7 = 49 years); the second period was for 62 weeks (7 x 62 = 434 years). These two periods combined total 69 of the 70 weeks. In essense the conclusion of 62nd week is simultaneously also the conclusion of the 69th week.

In the plain text language of Daniel 9:26 Gabriel explains that after the 62nd/69th week three key events would transpire: 

(1) Jesus Messiah would be cut-off for our sake, which was and remains for the salvation of all mankind. This occurred circa 33 AD. 

(2) The people of the prince to come would destroy Jerusalem and the 2nd Temple on the Mount. This was Rome, the fourth beast empire in its first iteration, and from its people would rise the coming Antichrist. This event of Jerusalem and the Temple's destruction occurred in 70 AD.

(3) The end thereof this period, the pre-70th Week period, also known as the Church Age or the present dispensation, shall be with a flood. This is the flood of prophetic fulfillment that has long been a central theme of Eschatology Today.

There is a fourth event which follows these first three, and that is the 70th Week itself, the final seven years of human rule over the earth. The 70th Week commences with the Antichrist confirming of a peace treaty among many nations; this is a treatly which is clearly centered upon Israel, Jerusalem and the coming 3rd Temple on the Mount.

So, what we're concerned with now is the flood of prophetic fulfillment. All of these prophecies are either in a process of coming to their final fulfillment or are about to be fulfilled. The Psalm 83 prophecy has been in a process of fulfillment since 1948, and is about to observe a 70th anniversary, which coincides exactly with Israel's 70th anniversary year as an extant nation. Also, to Psalm 83 it is also necessary to link Joshua 13 as it regards the immediate future of Lebanon.

There are also the twin Syria prophecies of Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49:23-27 which, as we all know, are as hot as they could possibly be at the present time. There is also the Jeremiah 49:34-39 prophecy concerning Iran, which will likely tie-in directly at some point to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38/39 just prior to the commencement of the 70th Week.

What I would propose that we give due and specific consideration to is that the Syria prophecies are a critically important aspect of the flood; their ongoing active fulfillment serving as the catalyst for the ultimate fulfillment of all these pre-70th Week prophecies. 

It is in Syria where chemical warfare WMD has been introduced to the battlefield on a scale not seen on this earth in over 100 years. This is a proverbial WMD genie that will not be put back into the bottle, and will very probably lead to the utilization of even more destructive WMD. 

Chemical warfare WMD usage by the Syrians has the world's major nuclear powers in a threatening loggerhead situation, a full-blown stand-off against each other. The use of chemical warfare WMD, according to how Eschatology Today interprets Isaiah 17:11 as "in the day of grief (chalah) and incurable ('anash) pain (keh-av)," will come to be used soon against Israel. In Isaiah 17 we also see the result of this being tied directly to the ruination of Damascus and the the nation of Syria as a whole.

Moreover, the use of WMD also spreads to what is today northwestern Jordan; noted as the forsaken "cities of Aroer." It should come as no surprise that there are thousands of US and allied troops in this region of Jordan, and it is where many would fall back to if the order to depart Syrian territory comes to fruition as we have been told recently. 

It is also very important to include Zechariah 9:1-8 in any eschatological discussion of the above listed prophecies and their fulfillments. This prophetic chapter touches on aspects of each of them. It is, more or less, a general overview of all of them.

UPDATE 25 April 2018: This update is intended to make folks think. A lot. Cast aside preconcieved notions about how and when the prophetic flood will runs its course; if one knows where to look one might see that the course has always been determined and is discussed within the prophecies themselves.

For example, Jeremiah 49:35 where the LORD of hosts says, "Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the foremost of their might." This has always been interpreted to refer to Iran's preeminent weapon of modern warfare - the ballistic missile. Here's the thing: Iranian missiles are not just in Iran, they have also been deployed to Syria, to Lebanon and even to Yemen.  

The Houthi's of Yemen have fired off dozens of Iranian missiles, but not one has yet to actually hit its intended target. Most have been shot out of the sky, others left to fall harmlessly in desert expanses. Just an interesting observation I suppose.

In Iran itself, and in Lebanon with Hezbollah, the missiles have a more menacing impact upon Israel, and to a lesser extent US bases in the region and also the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

Yet we are left with the refrain of the LORD of hosts (i.e. Father, Son and Holy Spirit, as The Existent ONE, and His innumerable army of angelic beings) is going to break (shabar) as in a violent act of wrecking, crushing, destruction into many pieces of this weapon of war. The question is, is this applicable just to the thousands of missiles in Iran which pose a direct threat to Israel, or does this shabar also include the throusands in Lebanon as well?

Final Update 2 May 2018: One final item to add to Global SITREP B2-18. Back in February, within SITREP A8-18 Regional Warfare and Global SITREP A5-18: Syria - Part III, readers were introduced to the Russian mercenary corporation known as ChVK Wagner. A rather large component of this Russian mercenary group was annihilated by CJTF-OIR at the battle of al-Tabiyeh in Dier Ez-Zor.

A late April OSINT report by the Conflict Intelligence Team, based upon British and French news reports, revealed an interesting detail about where ChVK Wagner has deployed its mercenrary troops that has a direct linkage to Ezekiel 38/39 as well as Daniel 11. 

One of the Magog allies in Ezekiel's prophecy is Kuwsh. The nation of Kuwsh are are black men descended from Ham who have lived in Africa, south of Egypt for millennia. Also, in Daniel 11:40 this same ally is found "at the time of the end" in league with the "king of the north," but here he is identified as the "king of the south."

ChVK Wagner troops, allegedly serving as "instructors," have been deployed into the war-torn Central African Republic (CAR) and the Sudan. A quick look at any map of Africa locates the Central African Republic on the southwestern border of Sudan... a/k/a Kuwsh.

The Roman Empire divided into Left and right foot per Daniel 2

11 January 2017:  This has been an ongoing work for some time now, through which I've read or studied umpteen eschatological books, papers and web postings on the subject the final "beast" empire. The vast majority of these focused on the European Union, or Europe exclusively, and that's not, pardon the pun, without iron-clad cause. The Roman Republic, and then Empire, began as a European, or more correctly, a Mediterranean power.  This can be seen in the above clickable image. This image begs for some detailed study with respect to several coming prophetic fulfillment's and issues discussed below. 

The angel Gabriel, in the 70 Weeks prophecy given in Daniel 9:24-27, specifically pointed to the Roman Empire as the origin of the Antichrist by saying "And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary." As we all know, Jerusalem and the second temple were destroyed by several Roman legions in 70 AD. But hold that thought because first we have to go back to the past of Daniel's lifetime in order to see the prophetic future more clearly.

In Daniel 2:36-45 the dream of Nebuchadnezzar regarding a statuesque image is vividly described and then interpreted with absolute perfection by Daniel after God had shown him the same dream and given him its meaning in a night vision. The fourth and final kingdom was symbolically described as having "legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay." Daniel 2:40-43 contains the details of the meaning of the final form of the fourth kingdom, the Roman Empire.

In Daniel 7 more details about this fourth empire, the fourth and final of the four and only four beast empires, are given. In verse 7 we read: "behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns." Pay careful attention here. What is the final beast with 10 horns doing? Would it be reasonable to interpret that this beast kingdom is at war and utterly crushing its enemies?

Now watch what happens as the interpretive narrative continues in verse 8: "I was considering the [ten] horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words."  

The fourth beast with ten horns is utterly destroying its enemies when suddenly from among the ten horns of this fourth beast an eleventh little horn comes up, and plucks three of the original ten horns out by its roots. This little horn is clearly the Antichrist. See also Daniel 7:19-20 where these events are repeated for what i believe is good interpretive measure. And they are again repeated for a third time in verse 24: 

"The ten horns are ten kings

Who shall arise from this kingdom.

And another shall rise after them;

He shall be different from the first ones,

And shall subdue three kings."

When prophecy is repeated three times in the Word of God its a pretty good indicator that something really, really, really important about future events is being stated. I am ashamed to admit that I had not noticed this important repetition previously, and that is after having studied this chapter of Daniel many, many times over. Yet last week I read it again and it was if I was finally seeing this prophecy for the first time, albeit in an entirely different light. This prophecy is in plain text; it means exactly what it says irregardless of the symbolism associated with it in other directly related prophetic verses. 

The fourth beast empire is at war, devastating its enemy when the Antichrist arises, he deposes three heads of state incorporating them into his own sphere. No wonder Daniel was troubled; I'm living in the days of this prophecy coming to fulfillment and I've never before thought of this prophecy in this way before. It is frightening to consider.

Western Part and Eastern Part of the Final Form Beast Empire

And about those ten toes from Daniel 2 on the two feet that are part iron and part clay. The map above shows that the iron legs above the feet are a literal type of symbol. Rome was a divided empire; you could literally draw a vertical line down the map between Italy and Greece and you'd have the Western Roman Empire, and the Eastern Roman Empire, which became the Byzantine Empire. (The line has been added to the above map for proper visualization of this point)

The western part, or more to the point, the toes on the right foot of Nebuchadnezzar's statue, are pretty easy to identify as they are the current major nations of western Europe: Italy, Spain, France, the UK and Germany. These nations can also be identified as "the merchants of Tarshish" of Ezekiel 38, and their young lions (former colonies) and their other regional allies will provide the bulk of the political and military power the final beast empire will have at its disposal for the Antichrist.

The eastern part, the five-nation group of the left foot is just a little bit more problematic, but I think its a solvable problem. Greece is easy. So too is Cyprus. And Israel. This new group of three and their mutual military alliance and financial and economic activities has been discussed here nearly one year ago. That leaves two nations to identify as toes on this foot. Turkey is an obvious choice. It will not be the same Turkey that we know today, particularly due to the aftermath of the brief Battle of Gog/Magog of Ezekiel 38/39. 

That leaves one toe to go. Given the prophetic demise of Syria in Isaiah 17, that nation is out. So too is Lebanon according to Joshua 13. Both of these nations have a national life expectancy that may well be measured in months or a very few years at most. Libya and Egypt and Sudan are covered and not to be considered according to Daniel 11:43. Jordan, the western-most part that matters, will be part of Israel when Psalm 83 has been fulfilled as seen in Ezekiel 39:11. So that leaves the nation recently noted here as emergent, even as we speak and into the near future - Kurdistan, or as Isaiah 19:24 refers to it - Assyria.

This interpretive view also clearly requires a whole lot of massive military and geopolitical change to occur, and most of it where war has been and is now running rampant. It should be obvious that all of the pre-70th Week prophetic wars will manifest profound changes in virtually every aspect of the Middle East as we know it today - political, religious, societal, financial, economic, military - all of these will be transformed into a new paradigm which can only be vaguely seen at this point in time.

This interpretive view is also standing on a potential threshold of providing a new understanding of what the "covenant among many" will be all about; that it very likely to be directly related to the final version of the last days "Roman Empire." A treaty of alliance between the western and eastern feet and toes of the fourth empire; a treaty which includes Israel as an integral part. And as for the betrayal of Israel in the middle of the 70th Week, what should we expect of the "son of perdition" who entered into this alliance by ripping three existent nations within it out by their roots?

Of these ten: Italy, Spain, France, UK, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Israel, Turkey, and Kurdistan/Assyria which three will be uprooted by the Antichrist, and from which of them shall he arise are the remaining and likely unknowable eschatological questions to be answered. There are strong clues as has been discussed here previously, but this will have to wait a finality as the watchmen continue to watch.
